The Princess of Wales and Duchess of Sussex have not seen or spoken to each other in over three years. The last time they spoke was most likely September 2022, during or after Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. That also marked the last time Meghan stepped foot on British soil – after the way she was treated by her husband’s family, I do not blame her one bit for protecting her peace and refusing to ever go back there. Everything we now know about Kate’s behavior towards Meghan shows that Kate was always one of the biggest problems of this whole saga. Kate, William, the Middletons and the Kensington Palace staff were all on a mission to destroy Meghan or exile her or worse. Since Meghan’s exit, Kate has style-stalked her, copied Meghan’s messaging and tried to become a soulless, dead-eyed version of Meghan. It’s beyond clear that Kate is still obsessed with all things Sussex. Well, it’s been years since we’ve heard anything about Kate’s (nonexistent) peacemaking skills, so this is a special holiday treat: Kate allegedly wants to make peace with Meghan in 2026.
Princess Kate is finally ready and willing to open up a dialogue with Meghan Markle following their years-long feud, a source tells Star, even if her husband, Prince William, thinks that it’s a terrible idea.
“Kate and Meghan have exchanged the occasional pleasantry over the last couple of years,” reveals the source, adding that the Duchess of Sussex, 44, sent well wishes when the Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer in 2024. “But they aren’t on speaking terms. There’s been no meaningful conversation.”
That could soon change, though. Kate, who announced in January that her cancer was in remission, “wants 2026 to be her year of peace, in every area of her life,” the source explains. “And if that’s going to happen within her own extended family, she’s accepted she needs to reach out and wave the white flag.”
It might also encourage William, 43, to call a truce with his estranged brother Prince Harry, who has publicly expressed his own desire to reconcile. “There is no point in continuing to fight anymore,” the spare heir, 41, told the BBC back in May.
“Kate does feel that William and Harry’s chances of making up would be a lot greater if she and Meghan were able to find some common ground,” notes the source. “She does not want to drag this cold war into 2026 and has been saying that maybe a phone call ahead of Christmas could be arranged to at least open the door towards some sort of forgiveness.”
This is tabloid make-believe, obviously, but I wonder if there will be some kind of movement between the two couples in the wake of King Charles’s announcement that his cancer treatments will be reduced. As in, Charles is doing a lot better than we were led to believe by William’s rage-briefings. William thought he would be (scooter) king within the next year, and his briefings about the Sussexes were becoming more and more unhinged as he believed he was getting closer to the throne. I wonder if Kensington Palace is considering walking back some of the “when William is king, he’ll ban Harry from their father’s funeral” rants. I guess what I’m saying is that IF an effort is made to soften William’s image a bit, I could see them using Kate to throw on her peacemaker wiglet and be the one to contact Harry or Meghan. Like, that might be the first step.

Kate’s face doesn’t move magazines in the grocery lanes because if they did there wouldn’t have been a necessity of always including Meghan, Harry, William, the Wales kids or cancer in order to get attention. Her face doesn’t even sale UK clothes to the people in the UK the way the media claims it does. She isn’t as known, recognized or respected globally as the Rota pretend she is. There is a reason why she was so globally unrecognizable prior to 2016 and that changed once Meghan started dating Harry. She dresses like Meghan, Diana and other women who draw attention because that is the only way for her to be seen and recognized more globally than when she’s her normal invisible mute self.
In local magazine shops, I don’t see any “royal” covers moving much. A lot of them are thrown out when new issues arrive. The Spinoff by People Magazine about the Royals went out of business for Lack of Interest. In days gone by, Diana cover stories and to an extent, Fergie covers stories were popular.

I completely agree. I see Kate as being no different from Meghan’s father. She has no interest in reconciliation but in giving the media coverage they want because genuine reconciliation would never require the media intrusion. The fact that this is in a tabloid and is predicted to happen in the future instead of something that has happened privately already, is proof that this is just an attempted fluff piece to make Kate into the saint she has never been. All of this could have been avoided if she would have been welcoming to Harry’s wife and not lied about Meghan making her cry. She couldn’t fix her crooked eyebrows to send condolences to the Sussexes when they lost their child in part because of her lie, so she and People magazine can both take a flying leap as far as I’m concerned.
Keen is not going to admit she was wrong. Ever. I doubt Meghan and Harry trust her. And won’t fall for fake “overtures” of “friendship.” Keen could have issued a statement denying the crying story. And this was ages ago. She had the chance and did not take it. Cameras don’t lie also. And the cameras caught Kate glaring at Meghan and stepping towards Meghan in a threatening way.
I think Keen wants Harry back as “third wheel” so she can be flirty with him again. And Scooter never wanted Harry to get married at all. Meghan and Harry need to keep away from the Wails.

Keen is a mean girl. I am not going to blame William or Carole. I blame them for other things but not being “responsible” for Keen’s meanness to Meghan. Keen never had women friends. Keen’s behavior towards Meghan is Keen’s responsibility only.

At the beginning though, it was actually good press for Kate to be seen being nice to Meghan in public. Meghan was popular. The smears hadn’t started yet. Then the second time, Serena was playing and you know Meghan wanted to go but wouldn’t be allowed to go without Kate also going. Iirc, Pippa was even brought along which was interesting. And also,Kate wanted to be the Wimbledon patron instead of the Duke of Kent so she wasn’t going to have Meghan going to Wimbledon on her own. The one time Meghan went alone with friends and not Kate, that nasty made-up story was started by some woman in the stands. That ended up being debunked. If I had to guess, Kate felt territorial over Wimbledon.
The smears started before the wedding. It was very apparent in the DM comments sections. A “petition” was “sent” to “stop the wedding.” And some were urging Meghan to skip out on the wedding to “see her dad” with the hope perhaps she never return. If the Queen and Charles had issued statements against the nastiness to Meghan, I think DM would have not allowed the comments in and backed down. But they did nothing.

Neeve we know from Harry’s own account of what the interactions were behind the scenes, Kate wasn’t welcoming and never truly friendly with Meghan from the onset. She made a point of not being there when Harry finally brought Meghan over to meet William and Kate. Then when Kate finally met her, she had an issue with how Meghan dressed and expecting a curtsy. Kate’s the one who had an issue with Meghan offering William something when he was sick and had come over to NC. Kate’s the one who allowed the lie that Meghan made her cry to continue for years, including when they attended Wimbledon together. So how Kate looks in public doesn’t mean that she isn’t a mean and vindictive woman who can pretend to be nice and friendly whenever the cameras are around.
And even then we can point to at least two very public times where kate was a bitch to Meghan in full view.

I think that applies to Harry. Kate has done too many things to Meghan that William wasn’t even a part of. The funeral walkabout behaviour was something she did on her own. I don’t think he gets involved with her jealousy of Meghan except maybe cover for the fake crying story after Carole sent it to Camilla Tominey.

Before the Queen’s funeral week, where Meghan was treated so horribly, she was kind towards Kate. Probably because she knew how William treated her. But Kate has always been a “mean girl” and was one of the worst at the funeral so I wonder if Meghan still feels sympathy. I think Kate IS terrible but she is still a victim. As everyone fully acknowledges, William can’t control his temper.
What this tells me, is either the tabloids or Kate herself fianlly realized that all the bought press over the years is not making Kate as popular as she should/wants to be. The only cure is to connect herself to the Sussexes. It’s similar to why every article about William or Kate has to mention the Sussexes in some way.
Other possibilities: Kate wants to be invited to Invictus. And/or there’s a chance Harry will reunite with Charles and Kate doesn’t want to miss the photo op or the opportunity to take credit for it.

As you do with distant relatives you can’t be bothered to call or spend money for an actual greeting card. There are no “occasional pleasantries” because if there had been as much as a birthday wish from Kate or William to any of the Sussexes, we would have definitely heard about it in the media. Besides, if you can allow the media and staff to use your strained relationship to abuse all of the Sussexes for years, there is no way that privately you have a good relationship with the Sussexes. You can’t care about people privately and be okay with maintaining a relationship or partnership with people who abuse them publicly. This is no different from Thomas being friends and working with the Fail for years even after they have racially abused and threatened his daughter, ex and grandchildren. The very person next to his bedside is the very person his daughter’s husband and father to his grandchildren is going to court against next month. Lines have to be drawn and Thomas and the UK royals refuse to draw lines to stop these attacks on Harry, Meghan, Archie, Lilibet and Doria.
She can start by calling off their attack dogs in the media, turning off their bot farm, admitting to all the horrible things she did to Meghan and the ones she was a part of (and apologize for them). She also needs to tell her crazy and disrespectful husband to lay off of Meghan.
They keep recycling these stories and this narrative is all about Kate being magnanimous towards a woman whom she was last seen advancing menacingly on during the mournography. Kate ‘s most intense focus is on herself and her kids. She does not gives a rats ass about another woman and certainly not Meghan. Once again this is unbelievable BS Kate upped her deal this year and is content waiting to become Queen.
Judging how Harry has moved in the last year and so I think he’s gone no contact with William. As for the piece itself, it sounds like make believe to me. When it comes to Meghan, Kate’s only interested in dressing and doing projects like her.
Looking back at these photos is so interesting. Meghan actually looks sad that the Queen has died, but Buttons just looks angry the whole time. As for this piece of fiction, it’s the usual end of year campaign to blow smoke up Kitty’s backside to make her seem important.
KKKate looks down on Meghan. Meg is Black, so KKKate thinks she’s beneath her. But Meghan is gorgeous, smart, and deeply loved by her man…not to mention the millions of fans Meghan has globally. So even though KKKate sees her own whiteness as being superior, she just can’t help copykeening her SIL.

I noticed how they started the article by immediately acknowledging Kate by a girl and avoided referring to Meghan by hers until later in the article. Then they never bothered to mention Kate’s age in this entire article while they mentioned Meghan, Harry and William’s ages throughout. They also tried to give Kate credit for “exchanging occasional pleasantries” when the only example of pleasantries was from Harry and Meghan when they sent well wishes to Kate when she was allegedly diagnosed for cancer. No pleasantries were sent the Sussexes way after they lost a child largely because of the fullishness, hate and racism of the Wales and other UK royals. There can’t be an exchange of pleasantries when only one side is being pleasant. I swear we are going to hear about her alleged cancer, treatment and remission until she’s is in her unannounced nineties. And no genuine desire for peace required her sharing any of this with the media or a scheduled phone call in 2026. She sounds as dishonest and hungry for attention as the white Markles.
This sounds like a setup. Another way to demonize Meghan if she doesn’t perform “reunion and reconciliation” with someone who wants to use her to polish their own halo. What could Kate possibly have to say to Meghan that isn’t tinged with malice or ready to be leaked to the Rota. This is so strange. Why can’t people leave the Sussexes alone during the holidays. This is so tiresome.
