Brooklyn Beckham enjoyed a quiet birthday with his wife & a box of donuts

Yesterday was Brooklyn Beckham’s 27th birthday. It became a hot topic in the media because, bright and early on the 4th, David Beckham posted birthday messages to Brooklyn on his Instagram Stories. David posted two photos of Brooklyn, one where Brooklyn was a baby and one where he was probably about ten years old. Somewhat hilariously (in a sad way), David did not “tag” Brooklyn on his Stories. David tagged Victoria Beckham but not Brooklyn. There are several good reasons for that. One, Brooklyn reportedly still has his parents and his brothers blocked on social media. Two, David only posted on Instagram Stories to maintain the happy-family image, which has been one of Brooklyn’s big complaints, that his parents constantly used him for their image.

Well, hours passed after David posted the Stories and Brooklyn didn’t react. He didn’t issue any statements, he didn’t post anything about the Beckham family. On his Instagram, he’s only posting about two things: his wife and his hot sauces. But Nicola Peltz did something nice for her husband’s birthday! She got him a big box of donuts which spelled out “happy birthday, Brooklyn.” She also got him balloons and some nicely-wrapped gifts. She posted a short video on her Instagram of what looked like a quiet birthday celebration in the morning. My guess? That’s exactly what Brooklyn wanted: a quiet birthday with his wife and some quality treats. Those donuts looked fresh and yummy.

He clearly said he didn’t want them posting about him on SM. And they did. So the posts were not for him but for the public.

Good for him. Happy Birthday, Brooklyn. I used to live in your borough. ;-D

Ah, fellow Piscean Brooklyn…my birthday was on February 23, and my older son and I had local bakery donuts to celebrate, too. So yummy, and yet contained!!

Nicola is very thoughtful, it seems. I’m cheering for them!!!
