First of all, Ryan Gosling, ladies and gentlemen. The Hotness. Second of all, these days I am consistently getting confused with photos of Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan. They have identical hair now, and very similar faces and styles. When I first saw these photos, I was all “Why is Gosling all up on Carey Mulligan? Shia is going to kick his ass.” But it’s Michelle. Now… do you think they’re hitting it? There were rumors about them when they working on this movie, Blue Valentine, and I’m sure those rumors will start up again now that they’re on promotional duties. Plus, Ryan seems affectionate. If he put his hands on me like he’s putting his hands on Michelle, I would melt. Like, physically fall to the ground and melt away. Look at the way he’s… grasping her. Sigh… like he knows what he wants. Protective, sexy… yet loving too.
The synopsis for Blue Valentine: “It is a story of love found and love lost told in past and present moments in time. Flooded with romantic memories of their courtship, Dean and Cindy use one night to try and save their failing marriage. Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams star in this honest portrait of a relationship on the rocks.” It’s not going to be released until the end of this year! Damn it.
CB and I were just debating Ryan’s best qualities. For me, it’s his voice and, you know, how he looks. CB was almost ready to declare his band the deal breaker, but I talked her into thinking about Ryan’s band as a way to “keep him real”. After all, he doesn’t really put himself out there like a rock star. It just seems like something he does for fun. There are worst things for this fine man to do. Here’s some more Gosling loveliness:

I think he looks great. I even think the shoes work in a fashion-forward way. If he were any older, then please, no. But it’s all good. And he’s all good, and an amazing actor. “Lars and the Real Girl” anyone? And “Half Nelson”? And for a good suspense flick: “Fracture” with Anthony Hopkins. This guy is a real actor, not just a pretty face.

Honestly, the synopsis for Blue Valentine reminds me of that Jim Carrey movie, Eternal Sunshine.. I doubt it will be as good (Eternal is a classic!).
I don’t confuse Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan. Michelle’s my girl since her days on Dawson’s Creek (woot, woot!). She is way prettier to Carey, who looks like real life pixie to me.

Yes, he is gorgeous. Love him & he is my total fave. However, please, do away with the tapered highwaters. I can deal with the shoes as long as you aren’t wearing sissy pants with them.

I live in an Ontario town, which Ryan has frequented in the past.
Let’s just say, during his highly public relationship with Rachel, he was known for using the ‘Don’t believe everything you read in magazines’ line on female club goers.
So either Rachel and his relationship was bull, or he is a skeaze.

“Quite ugly?” I don’t think so, Chelly. She’s average looking, but far from ugly. As for him, he seems like an okay guy, but “gorgeous” and “sexy” are not the words that come to mind when I see his picture. More like, “oh, is that an ex-boyfriend’s nerdy brother?”

Michelle Williams is far from ugly – and “wandering around with Brooklyn with a stroller looking pathetic and plain”?? Seriously? She’s a young mother who lost the father of her daughter, whom she obviously still loved, suddenly, traumatically, and publicly.
Instead of capitalizing on the sudden publicity, she mostly ignored it and took care of her daughter.
As far as appearance goes … she’s a really attractive woman and, unlike most Hollywood stars, she can actually ACT. And she doesn’t stage her public appearances when she’s not doing a promo – the “jeans/stroller” bit is just her being … a mom. In Brooklyn. With her kid.

I’m not a big fan of Michelle and I think she’s a CUTIE, very pretty girl and she seems classy to me, not all whore like…like some celebs in Hollywood. I give her props to have held it together after Heathe’s death, I can only imagine it was really hard on her and her daughter. They have a pretty little girl. I didn’t watch Dawson’s Creek much, but out of her and Katie Holmes, I think Michelle resulted to a better actress. As for Ryan, ya, he’s cute, but I do remember him with Rachel McAdams and she’s gorgeous! I did like him in The Notebook, I still yet to see the Lars and the Real Girl, I’ve been wanting to see that.

This man is so sexy! I don’t consider him really handsome but he is soooo attractive! And Michelle is one of the best dressed and cutest actresses nowadays. I didn’t really like her in Dawson’s Creek but after seeing her in the Oscars with that orange-yellow dress, I developed a huge crush on her! Remember how gorgeous she was?
