Lindsay Lohan ordered to wear SCRAM bracelet, submit to random drug tests

lindsay_lohan_court_005_wen
Lindsay Lohan finally made it into court today for a long overdue hearing after “losing” her passport and being forced to party in Cannes for an additional few days. The “actress” recently gave a typically delusional interview in which she denied that she should go to rehab or jail, and cried that she would have to miss her brother’s graduation in order to attend a court date that needed to be rescheduled due to her own negligence. As part of the terms of remaining free after posting $100,000 bail, Lindsay is ordered not to drink alcohol and to wear a SCRAM alcohol monitoring bracelet to ensure that she complies. She’ll also have to submit to random drug testing. She’s still due to attend a hearing determining whether she violated the terms of her probation. That’s scheduled for July 6, and could result in six months jail time if she’s found guilty.

Lindsay Lohan has been ordered to refrain from drinking or doing drugs … and if she dares to try she could end up behind bars.

Judge Marsha Revel laid down the law during a hearing this AM in Beverly Hills court. Judge Revel told Lindsay in order to stay free on bail, she cannot drink alcohol, she must wear a SCRAM device and she must submit to random drug testing.

Lindsay must begin wearing the SCRAM bracelet within 24 hours.

Lindsay must also attend all scheduled alcohol ed classes at least once a week.

Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, began to object to the conditions, but when the judge said she would state out loud all the reasons why the conditions were appropriate — Holley backed off and accepted the conditions.

And the judge indicated Lindsay must stay in the L.A. area — which will get in the way of shooting a movie in Texas. The judge basically said, tough luck.

Mind you … the conditions the judge imposed must be met in order for Lindsay to remain free on bail. The judge is also scheduling a hearing to determine if Lindsay has violated her probation — the date for the hearing is July 6.

If the judge decides Lindsay violated her probation by not attending her alcohol ed program as required … she could be jailed for 180 days.

[From TMZ]

Do you think Lindsay is going to make it a whole six weeks without doing drugs or taking a drink? I doubt it. Maybe she’ll wind up in jail and detoxing in much harsher conditions than she could ever imagine. If there is anyone who is still looking out for her, and if they still have the cash to do so, they’ll get her into rehab now before she ends up locked up for months. Almost everyone left around her except her creepy dad is in denial, though. There are rumors that Lindsay’s mom has reached out to her ex girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, to help. That’s a start and suggests that the situation is starting to dawn on Dina. I forsee Lindsay throwing another drink in Sam’s face before she goes to rehab. And then her little ankle bracelet will start beeping and she’ll be hauled off to the slammer, the whole thing being Sam’s fault for making her throw the drink.

Sometimes people need to be taken down a notch or two, but in Lindsay’s case it is others that have a problem, not her. I don’t think she will ever understand that what she does is unacceptable much less why. After all, she is a celebrity.

The judge has basically put her in rehab with all the conditions. If only Lindsay could have had the good sense to go to those classes once a week, this would not have happened. Of course, it is not her fault that she could not follow through. *sigh*

Are there published betting odds on when Lindsay will be in violation of the conditions?

    I applaud the judge’s decisions

Lindsay is a drug addict & she currently looks like death warmed up.

At least now she is going to have to face up to her problems as I doubt she can go w/o drugs or alcohol for any period of time

Something needed to be done, the girl is on a dangerous downward spiral, so who knows maybe this will be it…

She had to wear one of those things before and it did not stop her one bit. She partied while wearing it. I remember the bikini photos of her with the bracelet on and I think it was just about this time of year that she had her infamous photos in Sam Ronson’s car smashed out of her mind…she was wearing the bracelet then! She doesn’t care and won’t care unless she goes to jail.

By the way, any of us normal non-celeb slobs would already be IN jail.

the idea of her mom reaching out to sam ronson is ridiculous. its just a manipulative gesture-I can see her mom trying to lay a guilt trip on her and try and weasel some way to get sam back into lindseys life, when it is pretty clear sam wants nothing to do with these people. whose mom goes searching around for their daughter’s ex from a relationship that ended in nothing but drama and crap to “reach out.” these lohans are all disgusting.

I think Lindsay is probably a very smart young woman who is in way way way over her head. I doubt she will ever be able to achieve the comeback and stardom that Drew Barrymore has been able to obtain, but there is the possibility if she can achieve soberity (real soberity), cut ties with her parents once and for all, and find a business manager and publicist who will watch out for her best interests. Actually, if she can get sober, I thnk attending college may be a good option for her. Not NYU or UCLA but a smaller, liberal arts school. She needs to go away for a while, get her head on straight, stop twittering, stop fighting with her parents in the press, and figure out what she really wants from her life.

OK I may be wrong and someone else might have mentioned it or I missed it in the write up, but I thought those bracelets only monitored for booze, not drugs? SO she can still take all the drugs she wants, no problem. As for the random drug tests, not gonna happen, and if they DO, it is SO easy to get around them (and yes, one way is to get a friend to pee for you OR buy someone else’s pee, and no I’m not making that up haha.) The ONLY thing that would have made me happy here is if her cranked out pathetic junkie loser ass had been thrown in jail. Once AGAIN Lindsay learns that she can do whatever she wants and she won’t have to go to jail. Way to teach her a lesson! O_O

I’m sure she’ll violate the no drug/drinking policy but even with a scram I’m not sure she’ll get the punishment any of us would get. She’ll blabber about a faulty scram & faulty UA test & any thing else she can blame it on, hopefully the judge won’t listen or make an exception.

Having had to do drug tests for both random NCAA drug testing for sports AND for an internship, I want to say that urine tests are almost impossible to fake.

I’ll go step by step with what I’ve had to do:
    1. Walk into a room with a person in there. Remove coat/sweaters/hoodies/anything big. Patted down to make sure I didn’t have anything on me
    2. Remove all jewelry, turn pockets inside out, shoes checked. All Jewelry, purses, coats, etc were put into a LOCKED cubby. If you have a purse or anything THEY WILL CHECK IT…they will dump out your stuff and look.
    3. Had to wash my hands.
    4. Was allowed to go pee in the cup in the toilet. The toilet does not flush (the person conducting the test can flush it when they’re done). After handing them the cup, they IMMEDIATELY mark it and seal it. They then check the bathroom and check the toilet. If there is urine in the toilet, you bet that person was scraping it out into another cup analyze.
    5. Allowed to wash hands (there is no trashcan, mirror, or sink in the room with the toilet), given back all my stuff. Told to leave.

Unless they’re doing these drug tests at her home I can almost guarantee they will follow those steps. Lilo will get what what she deserves…she’s too dumb/addicted to not go without.

Comment 10 Kate! That was a good one! lmao And ya, I doubt he will be fooled, she didn’t even button up her shirt all the way, skank! And I’m sure with all these tabloids and paparazzi pics of her, most likely it’s easier for the courts to keep up with her doings. She looks REALLY MESSED UP. And if she wants to blame the people around her or other people…simple, she just needs to get away from them and avoid the bad influence…that IS ofcoarse if that is her best defense, lol. Other than that, no excuses. Enough of the pampering and babying the celebs at court, they need to be treated just like any other average person at court. People like that can’t be helped, (not even from other people who want to help) unless they want to help themselves. I also believe that not only can you learn from your own mistakes, but from other’s as well, before you commit it yourself. You have to let even the little bad things in life change you for the better.

As long as she “doesn’t see why” she should go to rehab (her words) then nothing the judge orders will make a bit of difference. Classes, bracelets, etc only work if the person sees they have a problem and actually wants to change it. Not happening for Lindsay yet.

Regarding the hair testing, I had a friend recently tell me those kind of tests were banned because they are extremely unfair to African-Americans. Any kind of substance will stay longer in their hair type versus the hair of other races without such thick, kinky hair.

And it’s not unheard of for graduations to take place so early in the morning. Mine was at nine o’clock in the morning (kinda sucked getting up that early to look presentable after a night of debauchery). But I think the her brother’s graduation was on Sunday and she had to miss it because she had to stay in LA to not miss her court hearing.

Graduation ceremonies are kind of weird. At my old high school the commencement would always take place the November after you had completed your diploma. I remember how discombobulated I felt hearing teachers and popular kids talk about all the friendships and places to go, meanwhile, I was handing in final term papers and writing exams for university. I was not going to go anywhere, I already did.

Hence the random drug tests. If you never know when you’re going to get tested, you never know when it’s safe to snort, no matter how long or short the duration of the drug. Cocaine is present 3 – 5 days after using.

If you watch the TMZ video closely, you can see, to quote another poster, the “insolent” look, especially after, first being DENIED being fitted with the SCRAM anklet for the so called “movie filming in TX”, which is non existent, second, after the DA, Ms. Meyers, asked for “proof” the defendent, (Blohan) had return tickets for L.A. on the 19th, Wednesday, before her scheduled court appearance on Thursday, which according to RADAR, the DA said there was “NO PROOF”, only an itinerary, which of course is another f ucking lie. Third, you must watch the video of Blohan when asked by the judge if she actually attended the funeral of her uncle, which was her excuse for missing an alcohol ed class! When Blohans lawyer told the judge “NO”, you should just watch LL’s face, as it says, “MAN, AM I F UCKED”! Hilarious.
