Spurned rich wife’s YouTube video shows why she’s getting dumped

Tricia Walsh Smith and her husband Philip Smith on 5/8/06, thanks to WENN
British playwright Tricia Walsh Smith has a well produced YouTube video that’s received over 2.8 million views in a week since she’s posted it. She goes on a rant on her husband of 9 years, Schubert theater operator Philip Smith, for supposedly evicting her without warning or explanation and leaving her in debt and without a home. She signed a prenuptial agreement and has no chance at getting more money or property than it stipulates. She shows a camera crew her Park Avenue apartment and talks about her husband’s 60 million estate, which she complains will go to her husband’s daughters if her husband has a stroke or medical problem.

She also brings up the dirt she has on him, saying that her 25 years’ older husband doesn’t have sex with her and uses his high blood pressure as an excuse. Walsh Smith is all too happy to tell us she’s found condoms, porn, and Viagra in their apartment, though. She then proceeds to call her husband’s secretary and reveal this information. She also mentions journalist Cindy Adams from the NY Post, who first talked about Walsh Smith’s divorce in her column before she was aware that she was going to get dumped.

Walsh’s bulging eyes and manic behavior suggest to me that she’s got a hyperactive thyroid that’s not under control, along with some psychiatric issues. If you have any doubt why her husband is divorcing her, it’s pretty clear from watching this video.

247Gay.com points out that Walsh’s husband’s company, the Schubert organization, runs more Broadway theaters than any other company and that she produced a series of one act plays featuring Trudie Styler, Sting’s wife.

  1. Heather Mark II. Could be wrong here but I’m guessing this may not be the best route to a happy settlement.

  2. if they’re divorcing why wouldn’t his house go to his kids if he kicks? i don’t imagine too many divorced people would leave property to their hostile ex instead of to their children. what a whacko.

  3. She signed a prenup. She might think it’s unfair now with the amount of money he made but I’m sure she is alot better off than most divorced women.

Have some damn dignity and move on with your life. Geez.

  4. Whoa! I don’t know what did or didn’t go on in that marriage, but she is one bitter bitch!
She also seems to be in need of medication for her mental issues…

  5. Maybe I’m cold hearted today but I find this story rather amusing.

Lady sues soon-to-be ex for the apartment. Tries to come over as sarcastic and ironic but ruins it (showing the worldwide people that 0.5 million per year is so uncool and definitely unfair is one big and sick joke).
Add to that some crazy eyes, odd statements (if her husband did cheat on her, I would understand the “poor” bloke) and a phone call to the innocent (well, let’s assume that) secretary that doesn’t reveal anything.

This is a form of automutilation, I say.
