Another week, another Hot Guy Friday. Can I just complain for a second? I spent a lot of time digging up some magazine images for some of these dudes (you know, FOR YOU, not because I was hypnotized by the MEN), and I… um, nevermind. These photos are a reward unto themselves. Okay, first up: by popular demand, I give you Ryan Reynolds. Shirtless. You. Are. Welcome. Now please stop trying to get me to like this guy. I don’t want to like him. He’s too pretty, too bronzed, too toned, too much. Must. Not. Succumb. F-ck, he looks really hot here. DAMN IT.
And here’s little Nicolas Hoult, all grown up and looking… um… I’m not supposed to have these naughty feelings for him, right? He’s still just a kid! He’s only 20 years old. Legal, but still a little creepy for me to be ogling him. Anyway, I finally saw A Single Man, and Jesus, this kid is sexy and lovely and very brave. I’ve been in love with Djimon Hansou ever since I saw In America. Not only is he really hot, he’s a wonderful actor too. Too bad he’s with WhatsHerCatFace.
Hugh Jackman, always a classic. So classic that I always forget him. I kind of lost track of time when I was looking through photos of Hugh, but this one is a new favorite. I want to sit in his lap.
Naveen Andrews, by popular demand. I love him. I love his arms! He’s got great arms. And Sayid was the best, right?
Because his accent might even be better than Gerard Butler’s. Because he can do a flawless English or American accent too (and Gerry can’t). And because James McAvoy is absolutely stunning. I mean, he’s just this wiry Scottish kid, but he has oodles of sex appeal because you can just tell he’s a cocky bastard. Oh, James.
My mother loves Omar Epps. I don’t know… he usually doesn’t give it me, but I like him in a tux.
Dominic Monaghan, because CB promised (for some reason). Don’t get me wrong, he’s very cute. But meh.
Cillian Murphy is one of the great creepy-hot actors working today. I think he has that kind of bizarre ugly/pretty vibe with his general appearance, and I have to admit that the only time I really got hot for him was in 28 Days Later, with the shaved head and the ‘tude.
Christian Bale is very sexy when he’s not starving himself or screaming obscenities. Like this photo, below. I would qualify this as “dreamy”.
I like Michael Sheen a lot, I really do. But I don’t find him particularly “hot”. I always attach words like “elfin” and “adorable” and “talented” to him. But maybe those are the qualities that really make a man. Or maybe I need Gerard. Badly. Okay… Michael Sheen with a beard is much better than without, in my opinion. And I threw in a little Dennis Quaid, for some old-school hunk.
Someone requested Eddie Vedder yesterday, and I was only surprised that I hadn’t thought of him myself. Eddie is lovely. He’s just… perfect. Okay, I’m officially 13 years old again.
I could look at photos of Taye Diggs all day long. This man is FINE, and I apologize for not worshipping at the altar of Diggs sooner:
Since we always do Jon “The” Hamm, I thought we’d change it up slightly and I’d show the other man that I adore from Mad Men. John Slattery is a silver fox, for real. And he’s Boston Irish! That’s very erotic to me for some reason.
Idris Elba was everywhere this past week. I think he’s promoting that Takers movie, that looks terrible. But the brother has a great accent, and he is The Hotness.
And finally, I left him off last week because our loins needed a rest, right? So, gird your loins, big time. I am about to present some images of Clive Owen that will make you say, “Jesus Christ, I think my panties just exploded. And I don’t care.”

Idris Elba is the hotness, yes. I didn’t realize he was British when I started Netflixing The Wire a few months ago, and then on the disc they had a little panel with some of the cast members and he spoke and I almost died. He was already hot, but man, that accent. I wish he would get good movie work, because he is a great actor. Stringer Bell, I miss you.

I regularly go through the day having some kinda “we bump into each other and fall madly love” daydream about Cillian Murphy and James McAvoy (both married *sad face*). Of course I loved loved loved Cillian in 28 Days Later, I totally love that movie alone, but he was just hot in it. However how that made him the creepy yet hot guy I will never understand. He has played the creepy guy ever since. Oh man that movie with him and Rachel McAdams, Red Eye, was some of the hottest creepness I have seen. It was scary though because like omg they both fall into a easy flirtation and then he turned out to be a creep. Still hawt though. As for James McAvoy love him in Atonement but when I saw him in Wanted my love went into overdrive. I just wanted to give him a “hug” in the beginning he was being treated so badly but he takes care of his own. My fave scene is when he grabs his keyboard and cold cocks his friend who has been sleeping with his gf, in the face and his teeth go flying out and the keys from the keyboard say fu*k you. Hot. He’s not Hugh Jackman hot (thanks for that one too), in fact his teeth creep me to hell out – too white and denture-like, it’s like he listened to Beckinsale to become more “Hollywood”). I do find his immense talent very attractive. And the fact that I think he has a lovely real voice and an adorable the soft Taffy accent, which I prefer even to McAvoy’s dulcet Edinburgh tones

Totally agree on Michael Sheen: if I were to allow conventional standards to hold sway, I would say that he’s ugly as f*ck. In fact, when I first saw him in “Wilde” all those years ago, I most certainly thought so. But he was kinda hot in Underworld, and so there has been a little bit of an attraction ever since.

Thank you for Christian- but I find him sexy when he’s cranky too. I love someone who can lose their shit and doesn’t care who’s looking or whatever. THAT is hot.
