Last month, Britney Spears stepped out with her traditionally budget, trashy weave looking especially mangy and busted. It was a mess – it looked like she never washes her hair and that she’d been rubbing her roots with vegetable oil and fleas. Anyway, Britney stepped out yesterday and the paps got another glimpse of the weave. Honestly, it’s not looking as bad as it was last month. But it still looks pretty trashy. Prepare yourself:
Ugh, Britney. Just cut the damn thing out and go with a short little haircut! Wouldn’t Brit look cute with a shaggy little Mick Jagger haircut? It would be so sweet and fresh. But she keeps this look up for some reason.
In other Brit news, she was filming her Glee cameo/part yesterday. She tweeted the below photo and had a bunch of nice stuff to say:
Britney’s Gleeking out! On Wednesday, Britney Spears sent her first Tweets — and a photo! — from the set of Glee, where she’s begun filming her scenes for the upcoming “all-Britney” episode.
“About to do my first shot of the day for Glee tweeties! Here we goooo!” the pop star, 28, wrote. A few hours later, she added, “what’s up GLEEKS? Having so much fun on set!! Can’t wait for you guys to see the episode!”
In an accompanying TwitPic, Spears seems to be in costume: wearing clear plastic-framed glasses and a gray top that, perhaps, a teacher might wear. (She stands next to her assistant, Brett Miller.)
Glee creator Ryan Murphy was vague on details about Spears’ special episode during a radio appearance last week. He teased that Spears may show up when members of the show’s glee club hallucinate while under anesthesia at the dentist. “They have fantasies of how they can be like her,” he explained.
Murphy added that the episode is “so reverential about her…It’s about her music and it’s not about her personal life.”
Spears also used Twitter last week to announce her return to the recording studio, where she’s begun work on the followup to her 2008 smash comeback Circus.

It sounds like they’re being really nice to her on the set of Glee, and honestly, wouldn’t you be nice to her too? I would love to befriend Britney. I would take her to get her done properly, or failing that, I would cut out the weave myself and style her hair in some spiky, cute little punk ‘do. Then I would start in on her clothes – cute jeans and peasant blouses instead of booty shorts and WalMart tank tops. If only…

I she cutting her hair herself? Her bangs shouldn’t go all the way to the back of her head like that, right? I think that’s what’s making the weave look worse than it should.
if she wants long hair she should go with a lace front & then her own hair can grow out more gracefully.

I think Britney is a pretty young woman but the waeve needs to go and someone has to tell her that the BLEACHED BLOND is not working anymore for her and it looks trashy! I’m a blonde and I have all types of shades in my hair and that is why it looks great, she should some to VA and have my guy Ron Paul fix the busted Hair-do she is sporting.
Why does Britney always look so trashy? She seriously needs a stylist. Britney have never been on anyone best dressed list.

What is wrong with her? she used to be so pretty….why does she look so rough and tumbled???
Were you absent for her what, 2-year meltdown? I think her mental state has a lot to do with her physical upkeep. No one feels like cleaning up when they feel like shit. She has illness and trauma and adding to that she was a child star which can usually go quite badly. She’s one of the very few wayward starlets that I actually do feel badly for and would, like Kaiser says, love to try and help her through this.
* I digress – her wardrobe and pantyless flashes are disgusting, as well as her weave and lots of her behaviours. I’m sure I’ve dogged her in the past, and actually hated her when she was ‘normal’ and at the top of her career. She can’t sing. BUT – I do really feel for her after realizing that her problems were almost out of her own control.
I don’t get it. Has her hair stopped growing? It seems to be the same length for like two years now. She needs to call Beyonce for some tips on making it look decent.
I have the same concerns as Lydia. I know the weighty topic of Britney’s natural hair has been parsed many times over, but WTF??? There’s gotta be something under there for the weave to latch on to, but what could it possibly be? I’ve never bleached my hair – could it be that overbleaching makes it fall off? I remember reading that that’s why Madonna had short hair back in her “True Blue” era.
That weave looks so uncomfortable. It looks like she has at least 3-4 inches of her own growth…it’s time to break free of the weave. I agree, a lacefront would work for her. She certainly has the money to buy the best out there.

She has some serious mental issues. I think this is what is the most responsible for her “looks.” That, and just plain old bad taste. Not a good combo. She needs round the clock stylists/mental health experts.
I’ve wanted to befriend BritBrit for years – starting with her engagement to Federline.
I can’t stand Glee but I do like to see her happy & excited for something, and certainly the cast and fans are happy, too. So that’s all nice.

@Lrayne, I know what you mean, but little kids walk slow and get distracted – if you’re trying to move through, oh, say, a crowd of photogs, sadly I think you’ve gotta pick the kids up. Which is when we see them.
I just don’t understand why hair stylists won’t tell her that her hair is so damaged and needs to be cut off. They may think it’s better to have Britney as a client instead of criticizing her, but it’s really bad for their reputation to do a temporary fix.
Busted Weave should be the name of someone’s band.

Hair stylists that do extensions are very specialized. They would NEVER tell someone coming to them that it would be better to just cut their hair off and forgo the weave. I love the gal that cuts my hair, but she also does bead extensions. I’m so glad I have never let her talk me into having them put in.
Well they mananged to spruce her up quite nicely on the set of Glee, so it’s not impossible. I honestly think she doesn’t care, because I know she can afford for a hair, (and wardrobe come to think of it), sytlist to come to the house and fix that thing.

ITA. I think that’s pretty much the case for just about everything in her life. Not saying it to be mean, I just think it’s a non-issue in her mind. Kind of weird, but oh well.
