Liv Tyler overheard seeking lawyer’s divorce advice over the phone

30 year-old Liv Tyler has been married to British musician Royston Langdon, formerly of the group Spacehog and now in Arckid, for five years. They have son Milo, nearly three and half, and live a relatively low-key life in NY together. All may not be well in their relationship, however. US Weekly reports that Liv was overheard on the phone talking to a lawyer about a potential divorce. She is also said to have been looking for a townhouse without her husband.

Liv Tyler [was] overheard… talking on the phone with a lawyer and seeking advice on getting a divorce without surrendering much of her money. “In the conversation, she complained about her husband being a ‘leech’ on her assets, and said she got married too young,” says the source. (The duo began dating when she was just 21.) Tyler – who said in 2004, “I don’t believe in divorce” – admitted to Hot Stuff in February that she had no plans for Valentine’s Day and even forgot about the holiday…

On April 9, the actress… was seen hunting for townhouses in nYC’s West village – without Langdon, who was playing with their son in a nearby park.

[From US Weekly, print edition, May 12, 2008]

I almost bought US’ claim that Tyler was looking for a townhouse on her own, but if her husband was playing with their son in a park right near where she was, it sounds like he just was taking over daddy duties and letting her have the first look.

If it’s true that she was on the phone complaining about her husband, maybe she was just talking to a friend and it was misconstrued by someone who overheard.

Tyler is about to play the heroine in The Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton, which is out on June 13. Once she start making more public appearances look out for more gossip about the state of her marriage.

Liv Tyler is shown at the Iron Man afterparty on 4/28/08, and out with her family for her 30th birthday on 7/1/07, thanks to WENN.

I can only speak from my own experience, but I can tell you that it’s incredibly frustrating to be working hard to make a living when your husband/partner is not and not even trying to. My ex used to be lying around on a couch in some red boxer shorts when I left for work in the morning and he was still on the sofa wearing the same red shorts when I came home. Not sure how much Liv’s husband is doing, but I’m a music fan and I’ve never heard of Arckid.

Lengthy marriages are the exception in Hollyweird and I hope she’s the exception for once. She looks fab for 30 :)

This horse-faced woman really capitalized on the fact that she is Steven Tyler’s daughter. That’s how she got into the acting business, otherwise nobody would have hired her.

  6. Huh?!!! says:

“She looks fab for 30″? Um, how old are you–16? Because unless you’re a teenager, there is no excuse for thinking 30 is old. I think we all know most women hit their sexies in their thirties…
I hope you were just being facetious

30 in Hollywood is 60 in the real world, babe. To reach that age in that environment and not look like a stretched out, badly made saddle is a miracle.

I agree, but if she lives in New York, that would help to explain why she doesn’t look like aged corinthian leather.

btw, I really hate her eyeliner done like that. She’s a pretty girl and it takes away from her natural good looks. That kinda goes for most everybody, though. Somebody send Avril Lavigne and Jared Leto the memo.

Also, Candykay, I HEAR YA. I dumped my first husband for the very same stupid red shorts, the loser.

lol… “To reach that age in that environment and not look like a stretched out, badly made saddle is a miracle”

That harsh environment of top dollar skin & hair care, nutritionists, personal trainers & month long vacations… how in the world does she do it?

I don’t think it’s a matter of what coast you live on so much as embracing your natural skin tone.

She and Jennifer Connely are stunning!! And I admire them both for being true to their natural beauty and not conforming to hollywood’s tanned and highlighted standards.

Well said, headache. That slightly helps me get over my disbelief at someone calling this stunning woman ‘horse-faced’…??

Whoever called Liv a “horse-faced” better take a look in the mirror. She is beautiful
and nothing artificial about her.Unlike a
lot of celebrities.Take Pamela Anderson for instance, she shows the world what she’s has whether it’s fake or not.Now Liv
has to take this crap from idiots that don’t realize true beauty and natural beauty when they see it.Take a seat on the
back aisle and shut up,you only wish you looked as good as her!!

when in this article liv had quoted herself she does not believe in divorce maybe it was if though she find the one right person took her time to finding the right person. now whether this is true or not she may want to rething about divorce if she is saying her husband is a leeche it will onyl get worse as time goes on. i dont believe in marriage for myself for many personal reasons n with the divorce rate going up as the years go on it makes me think twice before taking a huge step in the direction of marriagei even know that im not even married in the 1st place. live is a very beautiful natural true person she is smart and will go with what in her heart from the looks of this article on her judgement of character she admitted to getting married to young should of waited until she was older and more ready.

Given the fact that Liv had absolutely no family stability in her life as her mother had nothing to do with her until she was recognised as Steven Tyler’s daughter, its a wonder she’s kept anything together; (mental and marital status included)

Liv Tyler is one of the most beautiful Women I have ever seen. I have been fascinated by her performances and I would love to see her in more movies.
I feel sorry for the Women of Hollywood however, because they will never know what true love is. All they will ever know is Dollars and Lawyers… Its a shame that such a pretty lady has to hurt like that.

Poor celebrities. Many started the marriage glamorously, just to end up with a divorce. The worst is that the public know it.
