Somehow Charlie Sheen has managed to maintain a television career for which he earns millions an episode despite the fact that two of his ex wives claim he physically abused them and threatened to kill them. E! Online has an interview with one of the police officers who responded when Sheen attacked his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, on Christmas day, and she helps remind us of Brooke’s very serious allegations. She also says that it’s clear from the extent of Brooke’s injuries that she was abused by Charlie, and that she wishes those photos could have been made public. Charlie has managed to avoid even very lenient jail time for that incident by skirting through a series of loopholes. I’m glad that this is getting more press now. Charlie can only personally attack Brooke’s character for so long. It doesn’t matter if she was drunk and drugged out of her mind too, it doesn’t excuse what he’s done. Here’s E!’s report:

You’ve read about the morning Charlie Sheen was arrested for assaulting wife Brooke Mueller in Aspen, the police report stating that he pushed her onto their bed and held a knife to her throat.

Former Aspen Police Officer Valerie McFarlane interviewed Mueller and took close-up photographs of her injuries following her Christmas Day fight with Sheen, which, according to official accounts, turned violent after Mueller said she wanted a divorce.

McFarlane, in an exclusive interview with E! News, says that the public should see what Mueller looked like after that fight.

“When you see those photos, it changes everything,” McFarlane says. “You see the pictures, you get it. You really get it.”

The police report stated that Mueller had “visible” red marks on her neck, “consistent with a strangulation attempt,” and faded bruises on her arms from a “huge fight” in October 2009.

Though they had been in “previous altercations,” McFarlane says, “this one really scared her because he had her on the bed with a knife. She really feared for her life.”

Mueller told her that Sheen spit on her while holding her down, McFarlane says, and held that knife to her throat for “approximately 20 minutes.”

McFarlane, who was fired by the department for allegedly parlaying her insider status on the Sheen case into perks and favorable treatment from an Aspen Daily News reporter who was covering the proceedings, tells E! News that she’s speaking out now to raise awareness about domestic violence.

When she talked to her in December, Mueller showed her the bruises from the October fight, McFarlane says.

“Then she explained that they previously had a fight which he threw her like a rag doll and she had hit her head on a table ,and she eventually had to visit four different doctors—and I think one was a neurologist because of the injuries that she sustained,” the former cop says.

According to the December police report, Mueller did have a CAT scan after banging her head in October. Sheen characterized her fall as an accident and the incident was never reported.

After months of negotiations that ultimately worked in his favor, Sheen ended up pleading guilty to third-degree domestic violence, for which he spent 30 days in a treatment facility for “behavioral modification.”

[From E! Online]

That last line in E!’s article make it sound like Charlie actually faced consequences for his behavior. He was sentenced to 30 days in rehab, but that was reduced to time served because he’d already been a rehab earlier this year. It’s not like he had to even go to anger management counseling as a result of beating Brooke. Also, the officer mentioned in the video interview on E! that Charlie told Brooke he knew ex cops he could hire to kill her without leaving a trace. This is exactly what he told his ex wife, Denise Richards, as she alleged in the divorce decree, and seems to be his M.O.

Meanwhile this guy is making at least a million bucks an episode for Two and a Half Men and is one of the highest paid actors on television. How has he managed to maintain his image amid all this? He’s very slippery, I’ll give that to him.

I think he’s avoided a lot of consequences due to the Heidi Fleiss scandal. I’m sure a ton of people are keeping him safe due to saving their own butts…he took one for the team, lol…

  2. MrsOdie2 says:

I don’t watch his show because to me it commits the most hideous of all comedy sins: it isn’t funny.

  3. xxodettexx says:

horrid, sad to see we reward stupidity, antisocial behaviors and abusive douches so handily here in the good old US of A

  4. brin says:

This is why we have d bags like him, druggies like Paris & Lindsey….they are rewarded for bad behavior.
One day someone probably will die because of these creeps who all belong in jail.

  5. Praise St. Angie! says:

    totally agree, Mrs. Odie.

I watched a few episodes when it first started, and the premise of the show worked, briefly. Recently divorced man with son moves in with womanizing brother, and their worlds collide.

after one season, though, it got old really quickly. And knowing what a scumbag Sheen is, it makes his character that much less appealing.

  6. Jaded says:

Charlie Sheen deserves to be “shot at and pissed on” as my dear old dad used to say (he was a WWII vet with lots of colourful sayings…). I’d like to know who’s pulling strings at a high level to get him off so easily. I agree with Lisa that he must have a lot of “stuff” on some important people who were probably involved with Heidi Fleiss back in the day.

  7. Honey B says:

Didn’t she (Mueller) know all this when he was going through that very nasty divorce with his now ex-wife. She was already in the picture by then. When she parading on his arm like she’d won the lottery. I’m not blaming her, just saying SOME women like to bury their heads in the sand when it comes to money and red carpets…

He is despicable though, and the next thirty something poor mans Carmen Electra that comes along cant say she didn’t know…

Stay away from Carlos Irwin Estévez… lol…

  8. Rita says:

Another thumbs up for Mrs.Odie2. The show is juvenile and gross. It’s made for 13 year old boys but I also know grandmas that think its great. “Escapism can be smart” but Two and a Half Men is just pathetic….as is Charlie.

  9. Johnny'sGirl says:

    Funny Honey B! Yeah he’s a douche.

  10. AMS511 says:

do what ya like…don’t nobody care. its a sign of success-only in America!

    thats a song….

  11. womanfromthenorth says:

can’t stand him anymore, just a rotten spoiled hollywierd kid getting away whatever they want.

  12. Jo says:

I have to agree with everyone about that sophmoric and crass show. That guy is a creep and belongs in jail.

  13. Jazz says:

Teflon Chuck will never be the man his father is.

  14. Jennifer says:

Martin must be so proud (not).

  15. Fluffy Kitten Tail says:

He is a pig, pure and simple, and CBS should be ashamed to have rewarded him for his disgusting behavior!

  16. Persistent Cat says:

The show sucks but it gets big ratings so CBS is going to stick with it and protect him. I’m certain if Chris Brown had Jay-Z’s status, his career wouldn’t have taken a single hit. As long as you’re making other people rich, you’ll be protected.

I can’t even tolerate the commercials for that terrible show. I removed someone from Facebook because her status’ were always about how funny and “outrageous” that show is and then there’d be 15 comments agreeing. Ugh.

Season 4 of 30 Rock is out today!

  17. Kitten says:

@MrsOdie-It is one of the un-funniest shows I’ve ever seen. Awful.

Sheen is so disgusting. He just looks like a creepy old man to me.

  18. JR says:

Thought 2&1/2 Men was pretty funny…watched the season opener last night and I have to admit, Charlie Sheen made me a little bit physically ill. He plays this pathetic basically harmless drunk, but that’s the catch – he has to be perceived as “harmless”, then it’s funny, as soon as he’s seen as a drunk, much less an abusive drunk, which is the character, it’s all over.

Recent events have made him less “harmless”. He doesn’t really come across as charming anymore, he seems like a manipulative waste of life.

  19. TG says:

Both parents belong in jail. Brooke isn’t any better than Charlie. She played a dangerous game to get the golden ticket and she never once thought of her children so she doesn’t have my sympathies. That being said, he is gross to even look at and I would never watch his show.

  20. Anna says:

Disgusted to see that America hasn’t lost their love for this D-Bag and that crap show of his.

  21. Diane says:

    Yuck, creepy freaky guy!

  22. Cam says:

That man belongs to jail and instead he’s making a million bucks an episode for that stupid, un-funny and boring show; and they say life is fair.

Sheen, Lohan and Hilton should be locked up together, they deserve each other… maybe Sheen kills them we all can forget about those two, or maybe he gets them pregnant and ruin their lives. Ok, now I’m being mean. But seriously, I hate that guy.

  23. Po says:

All of you future Charlie Sheen wives need to pay attention to what’s happening now. What good is a bank full of money if you’re not here to spend it. This man has gotten off with not even a slap on the wrist in my opinion and he’s probably riding high off of that. Just think about it, he’s threatened both wives with police retaliation and at the end of the day the judicial system lets him walk right out of the door. Can you imagine what’s going to happen to the next wife now that he knows for a fact that he can get away with it and keep his paycheck. I don’t even want to think about it.

  24. Ph0s says:

I don’t get it. This guy gets his sitcom continued and gets payed more after all his stupid behavior – it’s almost like everyone expects it from him so it’s no surprise. Then you have Mel Gibson. The devious way the ex sounds – like a frickin fembot on the recordings. He was no angel, but look at good ole Charlie. Even worse, much worse. Looks like charlie has a drawer full of golden tickets.

  25. DiMi says:

Wow, I didn’t realize what had happened. I thought she had recanted so I didn’t understand what went on. I think it’s problematic that Chris Brown and Mel Gibson have been vilified and Sheen is literally getting away with attempted murder. I don’t get it.

  26. Whatever says:

It is amazing how many people still love him. Also that nothing happened to him for his actions, no jail, kept his job and even got more money.

  27. SallyJay says:

He is disgusting. I used to watch Two and a half Men but stopped once I realised what an entitled, violent pig he is. Don’t support him. Switch off!

  28. eva says:

Charlie didn’t only do this to Denise and Brooke…….remember he also ‘accidentially’ shot Kelly Preston. I’m sure there’s more back story to that that what was publicized.

I think it would have helped Denise when she was going through custody case if Kelly has made a statement, but I guess I don’t blame Kelly for never wanting to deal with Sheen again.

  29. luciana says:

he goes to court dressed like “my cousin vinny”… isn’t that a statement in itself ?

  30. Hamisi says:

Most of you people here singing the ‘I will not watch 2 and a half men’are yourselves two timing cheats in your relations. The reason yours haven’t come out is because no one knows you! He offended his wife, let him apologize to her, not to you!
