The star of one of my favorite shows got married this weekend! And no, not Johnny Knoxville. I mean, Johnny did get married, but Jackass isn’t one of my favorite shows. I’m talking about Bones and Emily Deschanel. I didn’t even know she had a long-term boyfriend, but apparently she did, and they got hitched yesterday in a “quiet evening ceremony.” The guy’s name is David Hornsby, and apparently he’s done some work on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Weird. I am alone in thinking Emily probably had an affair with David Boreanaz, her Bones costar? I think that because now we know that David is a cheating bastard, and because he and Emily always had so much chemistry, but I think Emily was turned off by David’s not-so-indiscreet relationship with Rachel Uchitel. Or maybe Emily and David are just friends and costars and Emily’s marriage to this dude is something other than a rebound after an affair went south. Who knows?
Actress Emily Deschanel,33, and writer-actor David Hornsby tied the knot in a quiet evening ceremony in front of family and friends in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles on Saturday, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
The bride wore diamond clips in her hair by Neil Lane as well as diamond earrings by the jewelry designer.
Deschanel is currently starring in the sixth season of Bones, while Hornsby is best known for his work on FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

By the way, Bones fans: did the premiere suck or what? I was hoping for something… I don’t know, MORE. And since when do people get to leave Afghanistan just because a federal prosecutor wants to get the old team back together? And Emily’s new haircut is so NOT CUTE. Bangs Trauma. That’s all I’ll say. I have to admit, even though their relationship has at times annoyed the hell out of me, I’m liking the new chapter with Angela and Jack though. They were one of the highlights of a show which might have overstayed their welcome. We’ll see… maybe this season will get good. I hope.

Funny. I never thought about Emily and David B getting together. I love their chemistry (they have tonnes of it) but never thought of them coupling (off screen that is)……..
But since you mention it… they do seem to be oozing an “oh yeah… I’m thinking about the last time we were naked” vibe in their pictures together.
The premiere was meh.

They are both attractive, but when I think of their kids I have one thought: There will be large foreheads!
I always wondered about her and Boreanaz too. Nevermind their chemistry on the show, but even on red carpets and press stuff they just radiated heat, IMO.
And yes, very disappointing season premiere with the exception of Hodgins and Angela. Maybe it’ll get better when Booth’s new lady shows up. I hope!

Yes, yes, yes to everything you said about the season premiere. One of my favorite shows, though not without its flaws. This episode was just meh.
I think they have to figure out what to do with Cam, who is just really superfluous at this point. (Once the whole story arc between her and Booth as former lovers was over, I have felt like they never had much for her to do except run around, roll her eyes at the squint antics and look bossy).
And yeah, after the deliberate attempt at last season’s finale to tug on heartstrings, now it’s just, “Hey, we’re all back now, no biggie.” Absolutely no emotional investment.
It better improve! Now, a season finale done right–the Supernatural season 6. I had low expectations but instead of the Bones approach of just jumping in with no really good groundwork or explanation, it was a nice, slow build. Take note, Bones writers!

I didn’t mind the premiere too much. It was a bit far fletched bringing Booth home so easily. And, I am already tired of the Sweets/Daisy storyline. Even thought I like the actress that plays her, Daisy annoys me.
Oh, and I like Emily with bangs. It makes her face less severe.

Awww, glad Emily and David were able to keep it so quiet! I knew they’d been together since 2007 and for some reason, I had a feeling they’d get married and we wouldn’t know about it until after the fact. Congrats to them! DB has always been pretty flirty with his female co-stars, so I never really thought anything of his chemistry/close friendship with Emily. She’s too classy to have an affair with him, especially considering the fact that she’s practically family. Their friendship is ridiculously adorable, though. 🙂

I love Bones too but also thought the premiere was just okay. The way they brought everyone back felt unrealistic and way too convenient. I thought it was kind of stupid that they decided to separate everyone anyways for a year (in TV) time and less than one episode in real time. I think the show will get back in its groove soon, but it has the ongoing problem of whether or not Booth and Bones will get together, b/c people seem to want them to, but then the writers are afraid to actually do it.
Crap, I missed the season premiere of Bones! I long for the good old days when new shows started the 1st of September and other than Christmas specials, were on until the end of May. Hopefully, I’ll be able to find it online somewhere.

I am starting to think the premieres always suck. Last year was the worst. Now I just wait to get beyond the premiere & into the season for the good stuff.
Raven, no worries. Emily is too classy to have ever screwed around with DB (or any married man for that matter). She’s been working with David for years, so chances are – she probably knew he was a dog long before he was publicly outed for rampantly cheating on his wife Jaime for so long (especially since David and Emily are best friends – she’s always talked very fondly of his wife Jaime and Jaime herself has expressed adoration for Emily on her Twitter).
Jeri, I wouldn’t worry about that. Emily is way too classy to have ever had an affair with DB. She’s way too good for him and would never allow herself to be put in that type of a situation.

Congrats to Emily and hope she has years of happiness. However sorry to hear that David B. atteneded her wedding as there were several articles I read that kept referring to him as a cheater, etc. etc. Kind of spoiled the happy wedding overall articles for her. He could have just stayed home and let her have the limelight. I don’t like them as a couple on the show just parters. In real life don’t think Emily would ever had been with him especially when he admitted to multiple affairs spanning for years, not to mention lier. What a dog to cheat on his pregnant wife. His wife is an idiot for staying with him. She gave him a license to continue to cheat.
Does anyone else think Emily’s “Bones” is singlarly annoying? Her inflection is like an idiot savant. I feel like I am listening to Rain Man It gets more pronounced each season. It is getting harder to watch her…I actually skip the show periodically because Bones grates on my nerves. Anyone else out there feel like that?
