First: UGH, the lips are KILLING me. They look painful. Okay, moving on… Shortly after Lindsay Lohan was ordered back to rehab until January, Radar excerpted parts from the official reports the Betty Ford Clinic had to submit, in addition to Shawn Chapman Holley’s defense on Lindsay’s behalf. During the hearing, Lindsay claimed that she needed to get out of rehab because she was broke, she needed to work, and she couldn’t afford the $50,000-plus it likely costs to be at the clinic for an additional two-three months. PopEater’s sources back up Lindsay’s claims:
You would think that Lindsay Lohan would be jumping for joy since a judge decided to order her back to rehab rather than to jail, however, sources tell me neither option made the troubled actress very happy. Why? Because the strapped ‘Mean Girls’ star will now need to find a sponsor to help cover her bill at the Betty Ford Center.
“Lindsay can’t afford to pay for treatment,” a friend told me after Superior Court Judge Elden Fox ordered her to remain there until Jan. 3. “Three months at the facility will cost her almost $50,000, which she doesn’t have.”
Lohan’s probation report confirms that the star’s “clothing line is falling apart because she is not available to monitor the product,” and any money she hoped to earn from filming ‘Inferno’ will have to wait until she leaves rehab.
“There is simply no money left,” an insider tells me. “Lindsay manages to live high off the generosity of others; however, asking for free clothes and dinners at fancy restaurants is one thing, asking for $50,000 cash is something totally different. Her people tried and failed to sell her first post rehab interview for big bucks, so her only option now is to find some sort of sponsor.”

So Lindsay is having to crack hustle to see if anyone can pay her rehab bills. What happened to the six-figure check she got to leave Ungaro? What happened to all of her “modeling”? What happened to all of the money the paparazzi give her for posing for candid shots? I guess she snorted all of that money. Maybe she should try selling some of the jewelry she’s grifted over the years, like the diamond necklace she’s wearing in these photos. And another complaint she had – that she needed to be out of rehab to monitor her 6126 leggings line – well, it turns out that was probably untrue as well. TMZ reports that a source close 6126 says “the company hasn’t missed a beat … because Lindsay has been sketching like crazy since checking into Betty Ford. Sources tell TMZ Lindsay doodled her designs for both the Fall 2011 collection and the Spring 2012 line. We’re told Lindsay is actually a micro-manager, approving almost every detail.” So you mean Lindsay LIED about why she wanted to get out of rehab?!? I’m SO SHOCKED.

If the place that Lindsay is currently staying is too expansive, then there are other less expansive places that she could go. Anybody who is willing to be one of her sponsors, is taking a chance on someone that is proven will fail, yet again. I do not think it is a worthwhile cause.

You’ve been living off your precious little child for years, I’m aware that morals and values are lost on you, but just think of all the career opportunities (darn, that Linda Lovelace flick sure looks like a winner, doesn’t it?) that would present themselves, if Lindsay managed to get clean/sober (and stay that way longer than 5 seconds!).

She’s an addict; course she’s gonna lie. But financially, the Betty Ford Ctr prob is out of her league. Despite the occasional paychecks coming in, so much stuff’s gone up her nose/been pissed away, it would be a surprise if LL is NOT in debt.
The $$$$ of rehab centers can be fairly devastating. My brother went to one (also by court order). The place wasn’t at all posh, but our parents had to scrape together nearly 10 grand for his 30 day treatment. Like many patients, he went out & got totally wrecked a few days after finishing the program. A decent rehab must be costly to run, but considering the long-term nature of recovery for substance abuse… maybe rehab is only for rich people?

@Anthony, there is a difference in a “felony” charge and a “misdemeanor”. TI has felony charges and violated his parole/probation. That is the difference…..As far as I know, Lohan only has misdemeanor charges and did not have to go to prison. Only county jail!
I have always said that Lohan won’t get it until something very traumatic happens to her. Someone has got to WANT help, and admit that they are powerless over drugs/alcohol, before they can receive it! Until then, she is just spinning her wheels trying to make everyone believe that she is serious about this.

She only wanted to do 30 days and finish on the 28th. Now she is stuck there until Jan rehab has basically became a nicer jail for her.
I don’t see the point of her being there if she doesn’t want to but it is way better than jail if she was actually forced to serve the 180 days with no early release which seems HIGHLY UNLIKELY.

The alleged carjacking charges weren’t filed. As for the civil suit which has been delayed again until next year she is making it clear that she is broke so the alleged victims won’t be getting much and should have accepted the settlement.

Why oh why isn’t her mom acting like a mother? Lohan is 24 and an adult, she’s made all these decisions on her own… but her parents are her parents. This girl never had a chance. So… I went in to debt paying for college and I have some debt (a mortgage) on my house and I have a bit of debt I’m paying off for a fertility treatment that I chose to have last year. I’m saying that sometimes if we don’t have the money to pay for something but we believe it’s really important, we borrow money to pay for it. If Lilo sold off some of her jewellery and clothes, she’d make a few thousand. Then she should borrow to pay for rehab; even cutting back on her blow consumption by 20% would leave her enough to pay off Betty Ford in no time.

She went on tv to show off the utterly ridonkulous amounts of designer crap she has been hoarding. So even if she doesn’t have liquid cash, get yourself to eBay sister, or have Orange Oprah sit her ass there for one heck of a garage sale. Celebs get so much free swag that they don’t think twice about, she probably didn’t even pay for 75% of that stuff.
And yeah, her parents should ante up if she can’t pay the bill. Not just because they are her parents, but because they’ve been making money off of her for goodness knows how many years. Her mama needs to realize that she won’t be earning any more money off LL if the girl can’t get her shit together…gotta spend money to make money woman! @TQB: indeed. Sometimes, prison can be a much more Sobering experience. Recall how Linds said she regarded her rehab stints as ‘vacations?’ Okay; prisons offer possible access to drugs/booze, but they can be a much more salutary shock to the system than a Rehab Ctr. Robt Downey Jr’s judge elected to send the guy to prison (instead of rehab again) after serious consideration of the guy’s effed-upness. The sentencing statement made that pretty clear.
