Geez, Brangelina makes a donation and PR announcement about said donation and they are heaped accolades for their generosity. I don’t stick up for Paris at all and think she is a worthless piece of crap – but I don’t understand the double standard here…after all, Paris just took a page out of Brangelina’s PR playbook.

I said basically the same thing on the SJP post, but is it bad I like that dress?

Actually, the announcement about the Jolie-Pitt donation did not come from Brad and Angelina. It came from the organizations that benefited. Brad and Angelina then gave one sentence statements never using the pronoun “I”.

But be that as it may, it is better to make some contribution even if it is court ordered and later than she promised. I guess she is trying, so she gets some benefit of the doubt.

Why is the stupid cow always on the phone? It’s a habit as bad as smoking nowadays.

Very, very tacky, Paris. And unattractive. :x

I’m sure this dumb skank’s beleaguered publicist told her to either cough up some cash for charity, or her already dismal public image will sink even lower. (If that’s even possible.)

Glad the kids will benefit, for sure, but I’m still of the opinion that Paris is a useless ho.

It’s always good to give to charity. As for the Brange comparison – nothing AJ & BP ever gave came at the tail end of a court-order.

The fact that she actually gave some money is wonderful. But people do this wonderful act of charity every day. The fact that Hilton made sure that her PR people distributed a press release before the ink on the check was dry is nauseating — and Hilton right down to the bone.

    at least she did it…

stop hating on this girl..she didn’t start a war and she isn’t the reason the gas prices are through the freakin roof.

when i was her age all i wanted to do was party and i don’t see a damn thing wrong with that…

    GO PARIS!

    To Lanette –

It is truly ugly to twist disrespect into hatred. I feel sorry for you.

As for Paris? She has come out with comments, herself, such as “cottage cheese in a garbage,” that are truly hateful and nasty. I’m with those who truly believe that this is more about publicity than altruism. The fact that she had her publicist release a statement within a heartbeat of the donaton speaks volumes about her.

I know people who do things like this all the time, but would be mortified about any publicity or notoriety. But that’s the difference between real class, and opportunism.

It would have been a nice gesture…had she NOT been ordered to reform…and NOT made an announcement about doing it.

Codzilla said most of it for me, but might I add, I will forever have emblazened in my mind the lovely personage and carriage of Luke Russert at his father’s wake. He is younger than Paris and has just lost his father but he has more couth, spirit, good will, brains and forthrightness than Paris will ever have in a life time. Paris is a waste of air at this point and ditto on the fact that her publicist must be trying to whip her back into shape, as in trying to stave off the private and public snickering. Good luck on that one!

^ It’s not wet, just oily. I’m sure those monstrous sunglasses come in handy when her ten makeup artists have a day off.

Comparing Hilton to Angelina Jolie? Are people just plain nuts? Jolie dedicates much of her life and her resources to those in need. All Hilton did was spend a day in the cancer ward. Paris also gives a small percentage of the net profits of clothing sales other people spend their money on. This is clothing that is designed and created by manufacturers that Paris leases the Hilton name to. Ever the ultimate shill, Hilton has created and designed nothing.

Jolie gives millions of her own money (which she earned through her own hard work and talent) to needy causes all over the world, every year. To compare these two is a gross insult to Ms. Jolie.

I agree she is taking her cue from the Brangelina bible. Her PR people told her, ‘look at Brangelina, they get a lot of accolades even when their donation is made right before a movie and cleaverly announced by Reuters’. These celebs are becoming damned too obvious.

PH had no choice but to finally make some kind of serious effort charity-wise. She’s been vilified for not honoring her promises…the worst PR person in the world would have told her to just write a check already, and they’ll take care of the press announcement. A 9-year old can see through this.
