  7. Kaiser says:

I’m happy that Michelle is moving on with grace, and in her own time. But I kind of think Spike Jonze is one of those too-cool-for-school douches. I hope Michelle finds love with a real man who will take care of her – not some self-absorbed boy-genius type.

  8. Lauri says:

@kaiser: I agree with your opinion of him, but not every guy one dates has to turn into a great romance. Maybe she’s just enjoying a little lighthearted fun now, without any expectation that it will turn into anything more. After what she’s been through, I hope she is just having a good time.

  9. Kaiser says:

@Lauri – Agreed. She needs some fun. And I don’t see the Spike Jonze thing lasting very long.

  10. Nan says:

There’s an old Chinese (I think) saying. To be loved, be lovable. I think this woman looks so lovable and has charisma. I hope life brings her everything she deserves. She’s an adorable little sweety. You can just tell.

Oh come on ladies, stop oozing fake sincerity and gushiness and admit that these two were just standing next to each other politely and someone made a story up about them. Happens all the time.

  12. Mairead says:

What have you heard to the contrary Bleurgh?

LOL. That’s exactly what I was thinking…for one, the “spotter” says: ‘Michelle kissed Spike with a closed mouth on the corner of his lips….’ Which could mean anything…including a platonic relationship…

After what she’s been through Michelle does deserve some happiness but I can’t help but feel a little sorry for Heath’s parents. If Michelle finds a new love they will surely lose contact with Mathilda especially since they live so far away in Australia. Moving forward is the most difficult thing one has to do after losing a loved one but it’s necessary if life is to go on.

  15. JP says:

Who would’ve thought that Michelle Williams would be the last “man” standing from the Dawson’s Creek ensemble?

  16. mollination says:

@ Christine: I don’t think that’s necessarily true. The two things (Michelle having a partner, and matilda seeing her grandparents) aren’t mutually exclusive. My mom remarried and I still saw my grandparents from my dad’s side (and yes, he died).

Secondly, it bothers me that the article keeps reiterating that Michelle has now “refound happiness” in life because of a blossoming romance. I do believe she never lost happiness in the form of her child and extended family. She may have “refound LOVE” perhaps, but happiness is the wrong word.

  17. jess says:

i thought michelle and heath ended up actually getting married?

  18. Izzy says:

There’s something about Michelle Williams that just makes me want to go hug her. She seems so nice, and she focuses on Matilda a lot more than her publicity that’s wonderful compared to most Hollywood mothers. I wish her all the best, she deserves to be happy. I know getting over Heath couldn’t have been easy, but it’s great to know she’s getting on with her and Matilda’s lives.

  19. Dee says:

I’ve got the feeling that Michelle is just a nice ordinary girl, who lost the father of her child too soon – just like many others. We must remember that Michelle and Heath had well and truly broken up before he died, and as sad as the whole thing has been, she has not lost her ‘partner in life’. Heath was the father of her child (Perhaps if he had been able to get off the drugs, there MAY have been a chance for a future – we’ll never know) There is no reason that Michelle shouldn’t move on with her life, and find happiness for herself and her daughter. The best of luck to her. A death like Heath’s, on the world public stage, would be very difficult to bear – even though they weren’t together. She carried herself with dignity and discretion throughout, and rightly kept her place as Heath’s EX; the mother of his child. Most people get new relationships after seperation or death! Live with it, Ledgers! Everyone else has to!

Well I’ve read lots of blogs with posters saying how they hate Michelle Williams because she is quite nasty and manipulataive and they think she tried to trap Heath but he wasn’t having any of it. He did an act for a while, but not for very long and he was out of there as soon as he could. Good for him.

  21. Snowblood says:

Wow, I don’t and never have picked up even a hint of “nasty and manipulative” vibes from Michelle Williams, not at all. Those “blogs with posters” that you’re reading a lot of, they sound like a miserably disgusting lot, themselves.

Talk about nasty and manipulative, Jenny, your “blogs with posters” sound like they’ve got that market cornered, trying to manipulate the way the public thinks about her and nastily vomiting bilious conjecture all over her reputation and that of her now-dead former love.
