Hello, Celebitches! I just wanted to wish all of you a happy and safe holiday, from me and CB. We’ll probably be gone most of the weekend, unless something horrible and/or juicy breaks (engagement, death, surprise baby, arrest – hopefully not all at the same time). Be safe on the roads and try not to get into some bitter, violent, eggnog-soaked bitch fight, okay?

Thanks for the cat picture! That photo is why I stopped putting up a tree for Christmas. My Kitty was always getting in trouble, climbing the tree and trying to eat something on it. The little monster!!!
Anyway, have a great holiday weekend Kaiser and CB. We’re having tons of snow and I’m loving it. A white Christmas for the first time in years!!

I think it just means you recognize the person you’re saying it to might celebrate Hanukkah or the celebration of the new year instead of being self-centered in a bubble and assume everyone celebrates your specific holiday.

Ok, I know this is because my mother-in-law is here for TWELVE days (has been here six days already) and it’s not in the holiday spirit……..
…..but I just have to say saying “Happy Holidays” doesn’t mean you’re a pagan or don’t celebrate Christmas. It just is a polite way to wish someone you don’t know best wishes this season.
My sister-in-law is Jewish and she says it’s fine but everyone just wishes Merry Christmas to her just assuming that is what she celebrates as well.
We’re all believing in the same God, so it just annoys the crap out of me when someone says you’re being a terrorist or an atheist by saying “Happy Holidays”. Everyone means well either way, so leave the terrorist and pagan comments out of it.
Sorry for ruining the well wishes on the thread. No offense. Merry Christmas if you celebrate and Happy 2011!
