John Tavolta and Kelly Preston are showing off their baby Pillow Ben on the cover of this week’s People Magazine. There are so many hilarious things on this cover, it feels a little bit mean to point them out. Okay, first: Travolta’s wig. I mean…he’s wearing his special “subtle red highlights = new baby” toupee. And Kelly Preston is all “of course I gave birth WHY WOULD YOU SAY I DIDN’T?” And the all-white is nice too – it gives a visual representation to the whitewash of this whole thing. Baby Ben is a cutie, though. At least they’re all happy and healthy. All in all, though, I kind of think John would rather be getting some spa dong.
John Travolta and Kelly Preston had tried for another child for three years, so the surprise news last year that Preston was pregnant left them “completely blown away!” the actress tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview.
Now, less than two months after Preston, 48, delivered Benjamin on Nov. 23, the proud parents are showing off their little “miracle.”
“He’s given the house a renewed spirit and purpose,” says Travolta, 56, who held Preston’s hand during labor as their 10-year-old daughter Ella Bleu waited excitedly outside the room with actress Kirstie Alley, a close family pal.
These days, the Travolta home in Ocala, Fla., is filled with joy, lullabies from Dad (“A Bushel and a Peck,” from the musical Guys and Dolls, is a favorite), readings of Good Night, Gorilla and hugs from big sister Ella. Best moment for both parents so far? Benjamin’s first smile.

Ben looks just like his dad. I know people are gonna say mean things about John and his fam but I have never known him to be anything but super nice and he is a good actor. He and his fam went through a terrible time, I hope they are able to have better times.

I’ve read about and wondered if there was anything to these pillow baby rumors. Unfortunately, I wasn’t paying attention during the pregnancy to comment on that stage but looking at Kelly’s fuller face (from when I remember her thinner and non-pregnant) I have no problem believing she carried and birthed this baby. I wish the family well and if those other rumors are true then I wish John would either be at peace with his preferences or find the strength to overcome his addiction.

Cute baby, but it does seem like Scientology has already moved in to protect Suri Cruise’s future husband.
Having Kirstie Alley waiting outside the delivery room with the Travolta’s daughter. It is like they want to keep a iron grip on their church members from the moment they are born.

I’m so happy that they are happy and feel they deserve it after what they went through. That being said, in light of all the rumors going around about John did anyone else LOL when they read about him singing show tunes to the baby?

Actually – the fact that she looks more pregnant in these photos than she did the whole pregnancy makes me think she really was pregnant.
They hook you up with an IV and fluids when you have the baby, and I never retained any water and gained hardly any weight, but I looked very pregnant in all the photos taken for the next week or so, after the kid was born.

She did not look pregnant while she was supposedly pregnant, she does not look like she just gave birth, she doesn’t even look 48. these ‘miracles’ so often occur to celebrities far too old to conceive naturally, but not your average family very often somehow. I don’t see the problem in admitting you had IVF because you wanted another child. People will say it is to replace Jet but eff them! Babies do bring joy, happiness and a new beginning into peoples lives
