Gwen Stefani finally about to give birth

Singer Gwen Stefani has seemingly been pregnant forever, but reports are surfacing that she has been admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA to give birth via C-section.

It’s D-day — as in delivery day — for Gwen Stefani! The singer checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is scheduled to give birth via C-section at 10 a.m. PT. This will be the second child for Gwen, 38, and her husband, Gavin Rossdale — and it’s in the same hospital where she gave birth to son Kingston, 2. “Gwen’s so excited to have this baby because she gained a lot of weight during this pregnancy,” her pal reveals to In Touch. “She is ready to meet her new baby and get her body back.”

[From InTouch Weekly]

I’ve actually been really excited about this baby. Gwen is my age and it makes me happy whenever I see someone of so-called “advanced maternal age” (yes, that is the actual term my doctor used!) have a healthy, normal pregnancy. It’s obvious that Gwen loves being a mother. Little Kingston is so cute and cool, so I’m sure the new baby will be equally awesome. I kind of hope, for Gwen’s sake, it’s a little girl. I’m sure she is dying to play dolls and dress-up.

I hope it’s a girl too. Man, Gwen has been pregnant forever. I bet this kid is like two weeks overdue.

    In 16 years…
Kingston + Shiloh = Hollywood Golden Couple

How the hell does she keep her feet from swelling? Mine look like marshmallows today!

    Poor poppet – I bet she’s relieved

“Advanced materanl age”? Wha? My mom was 38 when I was born & it really doesn’t seem all THAT “advanced”. Loads of people have kids after 38!

I thought I read somewhere that they found out they are having a girl. Did I just imagine that?

Bodhi, your Mom is a saint. 😯 I just had 3 grandkids here this moring for 2 hours and I’m whooped.

    edit
Crap, I do that with my daughters also. We do mean well………….

  7. Bodhi says:

😆 Well, I AM an only child, but I still managed to wear her out when I was little!

Now that she is soon to be a mother-in-law, she keeps bugging me for grandkids! She says the puppies just aren’t the same…

Wow, she really doesnt look that big. When I was that far along I was friggin huge!

My mom was 42 when she had my brother. My oldest step sibling is 36 my youngest sibling is 7. How’s that for a spread? My oldest daughter is 9 and my 2nd is 7, which means my bro has a niece the same age, and a niece 2 years older.

I hear ya Kaiser, I see it coming too

Ummm, why do people make assumptions like this? What if Kingston or Shiloh hook up with someone of their gender? I mean why do people immediately assume everyone is heterosexual and start pairing up males and females together instead of males and males or females and females together?

So here goes, my versions of the Golden Couples 16 years from now. 8)

    In 16 years…Kingston & Ryder = Hollywood Golden Couple

    In 16 years…Shiloh & Suri = Hollywood Golden Couple

    😀

    DLR-it’s probably based on percentages!
How recent is this picture of Gwen, because I’m sure she IS way bigger than this!
Big kudos to Gwen, though, because although she is huge, it’s summer and she’s been pregnant seemingly forever, she always manages to have a smile on her face when she’s out having her picture taken.
If it was me, I’d be at the eyes-shooting-fire, head-spinning, pea-soup-spewing-out-the-mouth-stage by now!!
Really hope she has an easy birth and a beautiful baby of whatever gender!

or maybe they’ll be a little more sane and date someone, of the same or opposite sex, who isn’t in show biz.
i think pairing off babies for future mates is a little gross in general. 😐

  15. JoGirl says:

Yeah, I’m about that big right now and not due until mid-November! That bitch! 🙂

j/k – I’m very happy for Gwen, Gavin and Kingston. A new baby is such a blessing!

  16. A.J. says:

No word on the sex, but they’ve named the new baby Zuma. Um. Yeah. Love this family, but the name, not so much.

Congratulations to Gwen, Gavin and Kingston! I’m jealous that she finally popped; I’ve still got three months to go and feel as big as a house 😛

  17. Snowblood says:

Zuma is a girl’s name! She had a girl, a little sister for Kingston! Congratulations, Gwen & Gavin!

BTW Gwen has been in my top 5 very favouritist favourite women musician-artists for YEARS, that’s my GIRL! I absolutely love Gwen Stefani.

  18. Moore says:

People Magazine said its a boy named Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale. I don’t know how true it is but its coming from people mag so we’ll see.

  19. Snowblood says:

I found out where the name originates from:

“The girl’s name Zulema \z(u)-le-ma\ is pronounced zoo-LEE-mah. It is of Arabic origin, and its meaning is “peace”. Zulema has 5 variant forms: Zuleima, Zuleyma, Zulima, Zulma and Zuma. ”

  20. Snowblood says:

Moore – and Nesta is a girl’s name, too! I think People must not have the baby’s sex right, why would Gwen give her BOY baby two girl’s names?

” The girl’s name Nesta n(e)-sta, nes-ta is pronounced NESS-tah. It is of Welsh origin. Variant of Agnes. Also used as a short form of Ernesta.

Nesta has 1 variant form: Nest.”

    SOURCE: http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Nesta

Oh! And on another site, they stated the true origin of the name Nesta is actually Greek, and it means Pure and/or Chaste. After Greek, it is Welsh. Welsh and Greek.
