Nicole Kidman in Marie Claire UK: “Well, I move my forehead, I frown”

nk2

Nicole Kidman is the cover girl for the March issue of Marie Claire UK. The photo shoot is… interesting. I actually like the rest of the photo shoot so much more than I care for the cover shot, which is all kinds of washed-out fug. And what’s with all of Nicole’s lace these days? I know she said she loved lace when she was on the SAG red carpet, but at some point, someone has to tell her that she looks like a big ginger doily. Anyway, the excerpts that are coming out of this interview are very, very interesting:

On Botox: “Well, I move my forehead, I frown…I tried it, I didn’t like it, so I’ve gone back to my own forehead. But I’ve never had plastic surgery on my face. People say I have but I haven’t.”

On Keith Urban: ‘I’m crazy in love, and I think you can live anywhere and do anything when you’re crazy in love. I wouldn’t have been able to do this in my Twenties – I’m very driven by falling in love. I fall in love and I’ll drop everything and change everything. I found my soulmate, and I don’t throw that term around lightly. I found the person that I just love being with. We’re both… it’s awkward to say it because it lessens what it is if I try to trivialise our relationship… He is very important to me.’”

On Tom Cruise: “”I knew he was a really big star, but after a while, to get to a real place in a relationship, that has to wear off. As a couple we were very private. We were not out a lot and we were very, very tight and that’s why we lasted ten years, which is a good amount of time, particularly when you get married at 23. That was a great relationship. I think it ran its course. I was never seeking to be a celebrity. But I was prepared to do that for love. And that is something that is hard to do. It’s hard when you’re young. But I’m ready to give up anything for love because, ultimately, that is what you have. You get so much from a relationship when it is filled with love.”

On the divorce: ‘I was really damaged and not sure whether that was ever going to happen again to me,’ she told us. ‘I certainly never thought I’d have a baby at 41. But we never know what’s around the corner.’

[From Just Jared, Cover Awards & Marie Claire UK]

I don’t think I’ve ever really heard her talk about Tom this way. It’s interesting to think about that – she was only 23 years old when they met and married. Of course she had no idea what she was getting into, and of course they were extremely “private”. That why there are still people fighting about what did and did not happen in their marriage even today.

Oh, and the Botox thing. Love it. Love the denials, love that she keeps getting questions about her Marble-head, and I love that she keeps on denying it. LOVE.

  1. Eve says:

Alien technology wouldn’t be able to make her forehead move.

  2. Mistral says:

She looks really pretty here. Like the “old Nicole”. Stop effing with your faces ladies of Hollywood and age gracefully to avoid looking like duck-faced wax monsters. You’re way hotter with wrinkles.

  3. brin says:

I’m glad she found happiness the second time around.

  4. everly o says:

she has a lip implant!! Anyone can google old pix of her with own God given thin lips–why lie and pretend to be all natural?

  5. merry says:

The top pic is sooo beautiful!
Maybe she did stop using botox and her face will start looking more and more normal in the next months. Let’s hope so!

  6. sharylmj says:

love her and love him.. so glad they found each other!!

  7. Camille says:

    Yeah right Nicole. 🙄

  8. carrie says:

her big lips are so fake

  9. Jeri says:

Her forehead is dramatically flatter now. It no longer bulges out there so horribly. (Like Marcia on Desperate Housewives.)

  10. Madison says:

Plastic surgery? No. But you can tell that Nicole has had cosmetic procedures like fillers, collagen, restalyn and whatever other cosmectic procedures Beverly Hills doctors use on actresses to erase their freckles, lines and pump up their lips.

  11. Hautie says:

So she stops with the botox but replaces it with filler for her top lip.

I really want to know what Cruise did to her. What he must have said to her when the marriage ended.

Cause it was then, she got crazy and starting jacking with her face.

  12. Runs with Scissors says:

“I was never seeking to be a celebrity. But I was prepared to do that for love. ”

    excuse me?

You inject your face with every plastic substance known to mankind and then lie about it… it must be love.

She’s so incredibly talented, WHY does she have to be like this?

  13. Eleonor says:

I agree with Everly o: lip implants, and I can check a nose job.

  14. Kim says:

I hate when celebs use the “I havent had cosmetic surgery” line when they know damn well we are talking botox and fillers etc NOT cosmetic surgery. Perhaps she hasnt had cosmetic surgery BUT she is filled to the max with botox, collagen and fillers!

Nicole is an ego maniac who traded her children for fame. Why claim she wasnt married to Tom for fame when we know she signed off on her 2 adopted kids in exchange for certain movie roles/fame.

Celebs need to realize the public isnt stupid and when they deny things we know it makes them look like total idiots.

  15. Riley says:

… and eyebrows and cheeks. A whole new face, really (but I really want to Rabbit Hole. She may be plastic looking but I think she is a really good actress). http://nicole-kidman.gemzies.com/show/entry_10497/Young_Nicole.html

  16. malachais says:

LOVE her earrings on the cover. I am probably going to skim through this magazine at my local drugstore just to find out who makes them, hehe.

  17. Girafe99 says:

I was always indifferent to Kidman, I never found her interesting even with all the ‘mystery’ surrounding her divorce with Cruise, but the set up with her older kids I find very odd, and her upper lip oddest

  18. Tess says:

Shades of Kelly Preston in that last shot.

  19. MeMyself says:

@Kim-traded her kids for movie roles/fame?

    Ouch! Do you KNOW her?

  20. poppy says:

how long did she deny the botox?
when i see a picture where she scrunches up her forehead i will believe she’s laid off.
until then she can wallow in her delusions of being au natural.
    lip injections/implants are NOT natural.
she’s so crazy in love she’s living in denial.

  21. operagirl says:

On a completely random side note, I love her makeup on the front cover. Would love to know the brands/colors that were used. I have exactly her same hair/skin combo, and it is incredibly difficult to find colors that suit.

  22. archiepelago says:

She wasn’t seeking celebrity and fame?
Yeah, keep telling yourself that Nic. Just forget all those BJ’s that you were throwing around in Australia to get ahead (pardon the pun) before you traded that for the arranged marriage.

She is the epitome of Hollywood crazy, actually believing the little PR story she’s created for herself.

  23. Jayna says:

Her lips are looking much better, though. She needs to go back and look at her lips in Moulin Rouge. They were rosebud lips. Whatever little amount of filler she put in, they were beautiful. She was so stunning in Moulin Rouge. I still love Nicole and glad to see her normal face back. She was disturbing in Australia with those fat pillow lips. She’s a sweet soul and seems to have found peace and happiness. Good for her and Keith. I do believe they’re soulmates.

  24. Solveig says:

    Dear Nicole,

I really like you as an actress, I think you are very talented and I think you are exceptionally beautiful. But please, quit the BS, it’s obvious that you had your lips done (and they are very unfortuned looking, now) and your boobs too aren’t exactly natural.
I’m not asking you to be sincere, but please don’t think that we’re blind.

Ps: I really loved your performance in Rabbit Hole, and although I also like Natalie Portman, I think you were better and I hope that someone will give you another award, you deserve it. You deserve the better things in life only because you spent ten years of your life with that nutjob called Tom Cruise.

    Sincerely yours,
    Solveig

  25. sassy says:

her cover photo looks like she’s holding back a queef.

  26. Hmmm says:

    She is such a liar.

  27. dit says:

Love the photoshopping. She looks great here.

  28. Kiska says:

She is so gorgeous with her natural red hair. Never go blonde again, Nicole.

  29. hopeso says:

OOOHHH she looks so beautiful. God bless Nicole & Keith I am so happy that they found each other and the addition to them, Sunday Rose and now Faith Margaret, Just Nice.

  30. Jacq says:

Why put her in front of a bunch of dark, shadowy backdrops and then light her up so brightly? Don’t like

  31. Glyrics says:

Uhm. Kaiser? She’s only wearing lace in one photo

  32. Dana M says:

It’s so hilarious to me how these Hollywood women lie about heir obvious procedures.

  33. serena says:

OH COME ON. just compare old photos to the new ones and you’ll see the plastic surgery.
    What a big fat liar.

  34. OldSchoolBuddy says:

The lies are not new. An old photo from first year of high school shows that her hair was not curly and was not red.
She is a tribute to the wonders of cosmetics, hair dye/styling and fillers/botox and photoshopping.
Just getting a bit tired of her thats all.

  35. bored at work says:

“I move my forehead, I frown”

Most people don’t have the clarify this statement as they dont spend years lying through their teeth issuing denial of something that is plain to see – that she has been jacking with her face for years now. It just screams insecurity that you clearly change the tone, texture or structure of your face through comestic procedure then desperately lie about it to everyone for years on end. And you also have the audacity to expect no-one to call you on it.
