TMZ has an exclusive that law enforcement officials near Jamie Lynn’s hometown of Liberty, Mississippi are looking for the person who is trying to sell personal photos of Jamie Lynn Spears, her boyfriend Casey Aldridge, and her famous sister Britney. Casey Aldridge brought about 12 pictures on a digital camera card to Walmart to get developed. They contained some semi-personal shots and it looks like someone in the photo department got the idea to cash in. One of the photos shows Jamie Lynn’s breast exposed as she nurses her three month old baby, Maddie. Jamie Lynn is still a minor and the person trying to sell the photos could be charged with a federal crime for trying to sell pornography out of state.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ federal and local authorities are on the hunt for someone peddling 12 pics of Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn, daughter Maddie and baby daddy Casey Aldridge. One of the pictures shows Jamie Lynn breast feeding Maddie — Jamie Lynn’s left breast is exposed.
The pics were taken on Casey’s digital camera. We’re told he took the camera card to his local Wal-Mart in Louisiana for copies. Law enforcement believes someone at the Wal-Mart may have made extra copies, then tried selling them.
Because Jamie Lynn is a minor, selling the pics — or buying them — could constitute a violation of federal laws prohibiting pornography. Peddling pictures of a minor’s breast — even if not taken for sexual purposes — could land the seller and the buyer in federal prison if they are marketed across state lines for the purpose of being lurid. Also, anyone purchasing the pics could be prosecuted for the crime of receiving stolen property.
Other pics in the set include Britney holding the baby and one of Jamie Lynn, Britney, Brian (Brit’s bro), Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears around Jamie Lynn’s hospital bed. There are also pics of Maddie by herself, and there’s a picture of Jamie Lynn in a negligee holding the baby.

The person who is looking to sell the photos probably thought their ship had come in and they could make a quick few thousand off the photos and maybe quit working at Walmart. Instead they’re facing federal charges, and while it probably won’t come to that it’s going to be a hard lesson to learn.
Maybe this means that everything is fine between Jamie Lynn and Casey and that they’re not estranged as was rumored. They’re possibly older photos, though, because Britney did visit for a day after her niece was born and they may have been taken at that point. Casey could just be hoping to preserve the memories of his shattered relationship.

Well, it’s not child pornography because she is not being portrayed in an inappropriate sexual situation– she is breast-feeding the child she gave birth to, an activity legal to do in public, so pics of it aren’t illegal as a result of the content.
It is theft and invasion of privacy, though, so hopefully the pimply-faced photojerk will get hit with a huge fine and spend some time in a federal pen to think about what s/he did.
But why the hell didn’t Casey just buy some photo paper and colour toner at Wal-Mart and print them out himself?
Jamie Lynn looks like $hit- just like the mother of a three-month old who requires round-the-clock care. I think it was irresponsible of her to get knocked up [by the Nick exec], but I have to give her props for stepping up and taking care of her own baby instead of pawning her off on her mother. Of course, Lynn is hardly Mother of the Year, so it’s not like the benchmark was set particularly high.
PS Look at the drag queen on the cell phone in line behind her! From the expression on its face, my guess is it just got the news that it’s being bumped to second on the bill instead of headliner at The Werkz.

Would big celebrities REALLY use a Walmart photo development center in this day and age? Even I print most of my pictures out at home. If I can afford a high end printer for digital photography, I’m pretty sure Zoey 101 can, too.

When I was in college, I worked at an hour-photo place - the law/regulations are that if the person developing the pics sees something that he/she thinks is in any way child porn, he/she *must* turn it in.
Turn it in to the authorities, not the tabloids, though. So I’m okay with the photo employee being fired, sued, whatever. But surely, if it is illegal to take and sell a pic of an underage girl breastfeeding, than having sexual relations, impregnanting and taking nudie pics of said underage girl must be punished as well.

So, WTF, are you saying that if a parent innocently takes pictures of a kid, say, bathing or sleeping naked in a funny position, and someone takes those photos and gets off on them and posts them and sells them for lascivious reasons, that because they were taken innocently by someone else, those aren’t considered porn?

Because one of the rolls had a couple pictures of our then two year old son running naked in the surf on a beach, they refused to develop that roll.

When my oldest son was born, we naively posted a picture on Flickr of his first bath (along with many others of him doing baby stuff). He was maybe a week old, and within a few days, the bath picture had HUNDREDS of views. Needless to say we took it down immediately, and felt horrified that we may have provided fodder for an army of sick f*cks.
I guess this is only marginally related to this story, but I thought I’d share it as a precautionary tale.

1,000,000 families (or far more) in the United States probably have pictures in a photo album of one or more of their children taking a bath or running around half-naked. In their blind zeal to pass laws (or enforce imaginary ones), politicians and law enforcement have repeatedly gotten away with terrorizing law-abiding citizens for years. Court cases abound across the U.S. of unjustified and illegal “charges” that have been brought against people because no one stands up to Big Brother and simply says “NO”. If nursing an infant is legal in public (it is), then taking a photo of such an activity is not illegal. The clerk who MAY have kept extra copies of the pics has committed a misdemeanor crime and could be subject to a fine or less than a year in county jail. If it turns out to be a female, the gender bias in American courts will keep her out of jail entirely.

Since none of us has seen the pictures, the assumption that just because she’s nursing the child does her breast (and nipple, which is the hallmark of “porn”) is shown is way premature.
It is the intimate act of breastfeeding and that intrusion into her privacy that’s the issue.

If she’s old enough to have sex and get pregnant then she relinquishes her “minor” status, much like someone who commits murder at 17. If you do adult things, you are subject to be treated in an adult way. If any other celeb had a pic snapped in the same fashion, the tabloids would be knocking each other down trying to get it.

I can’t believe I had to read an entire page of comments to find ONE person that understood why this is illegal. She is a minor, and it says it right in the article… the pic doesn’t have to be sexual in nature, showing the breast of someone under 18 is still illegal.

Maybe you’re right and you’re just way too smart for the rest of us. I beg to differ with you re: age of consent/pornography laws. Two different things. Pornography involves children in a state of undress or engaged in erotic poses or sexual activity. While it usually involves pre-pubescent children it can also include post-pubescents and also include minors (under 18 yrs.)according to the jurisdiction of the state. Why do you think most of the legit porn sites say you must be 18 or over to enter? And anytime teens are featured their age is always 18 or older? You also have to be 18 years or over to do porn movies. Now who is showing their ignorance?
