Oscar Fashion: Sharon Stone’s Cruella de Vil-esque Christian Dior

wenn3229819

Look, I’m not saying the bitch isn’t fabulous. Look at her. Everything about Sharon Stone says “Fabulous Bitch”. The beehive, the feathered “Black Swan” Christian Dior gown, the Kate Middleton eye liner, the fact that Sharon actually looks her age AND looks good for her age, and the little matter of her major Cruella de Vil vibe. I love it all. If you’re Sharon Stone, this is how you come to the Oscars. You douse yourself in eyeliner and feathers and you work the carpet like the professional bitch that you are. I love her.

That being said, it is a little bit too much. Please don’t shank me with your specially made “Original Bitch” shank, Sharon! All of the pieces put together – the liner, the dress, the hair, the face – it’s just a touch too much. I think my biggest problem is with the ostrich feather detail – it’s too big. Just tone that down, and this would be a huge win for Sharon. But seriously, how else is she supposed to roll? Bitches better recognize!!

I will give her credit for not being all Botoxed up, but her skin looks very dry, and women that age need to tone down the red lips.

  2. Cherry Rose says:

    Cruella, Cruella de Vil.

Too much eyeliner on, but otherwise, she looked pretty good. Loved the beehive. Sharon rocked that.

  3. merski says:

    Wow, I did not recognize her… o_0

  4. Kaye1 says:

I agree. I think the feathers could go completely and her make-up could be softer looking. I like the hair and the shape of the dress. She really does look like she’s not falling into the trap of mutilating her face in a desperate attempt to look young. Good for her.

  5. Quest says:

Sharon rocked and considering her age…she looked great. The makeup could have been less dramatic, but it got her noticed

  6. TXCinderella says:

The dress is fine, it’s the harsh makeup. Egads! Less is more when you are older. I totally don’t even recognize her anymore. She looks like she may scratch your eyes out if you say something she doesn’t like.

  7. Jackson says:

Oh, geez, she looks harsh. I generally think she is beautiful….on the outside….but this look makes her look older. And meaner.

  8. beth says:

i know none of us are getting any younger, and i have to hand it to her, this woman is very bold, but i can’t say i dont find her look frightening.

    the dress is gorgeous.

  9. brin says:

Watch out Kaiser….biotch has her shank (and blackberry) in that beehive.

  10. GeekChic says:

Now I’m going to be singing the Cruella De Vil song all day. Thanks, Kaiser.

The biggest question for me about this look is the sky-high hair. It’s distracting and kind of alarming in my eyes — like something I would have expected to see at a soap opera award show in 1982.

  11. guesty says:

    the makeup…it’s dated.

  12. Hautie says:

Love the dress. Even with the crazy feathers.

Had she skipped the liner on her lower half of her eyes… but wore a nice set of fake lashes on top… it would have been perfect.

And lets be real. Sharon knows how to pose. This is a woman who got the memo from Tom Ford on how to own the carpet.

  13. Marjalane says:

Yeah, I agree; She needed less everywhere. Hair, eyeliner, dress feathers, bitchface. I think she’s about the same age as Annette Bening, and I just like Annette’s look so much more- it’s a cleaner, more polished vibe.

  14. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

I thought she was SJP for a second there.

She looks like she stepped out of the 80’s

  15. OtherChris says:

I confess. I think she looks pretty good. Not something I would ever consider, but pretty on her.

  16. voodoobetty says:

I think she looks fabulous. I appreciate women who dont “play it safe” and bring the glamour!! And I love red lipstick on older women.

  17. sasa says:

She kind of looks fabulous. Should have toned down the hair and the eyeliner a bit though.

  18. dorothy says:

Why is she even there? She hasn’t had any movies in ages.

  19. Darlene says:

I didn’t recognize her! I thought it was a very thin Patricia Arquette!!

  20. beth says:

“And lets be real. Sharon knows how to pose. This is a woman who got the memo from Tom Ford on how to own the carpet.”

    yup, the woman can pose!

  21. DGO says:

    Something looks “different”.

  22. RHONYC says:

    whoa. 😮

  23. Venus says:

Totally fierce, but you are right — she should have ditched the eyeliner & had a tad less feathers on the dress. Still, her body was better than most of the younger girls there, so kudos to her.

  24. Chrissy says:

Kate Middleton eye liner! Ha ha … love it!! She totally does! Both Kate and Sharon should scale it back. Other than that, I thought Sharon Stone looked amazing!!

  25. Melanie says:

I have noticed that this eyeliner is a old new trend in makeup. I wore it in HS. It is amazing how much smaller peoples eyes look when they are ringed in liner.

  26. Lynda says:

She looks terrific and daring. Love her.

  27. Cheyenne says:

Hair — yes, make-up — big yes, dress — no. I only like feathers on birds.

  28. malachais says:

I actually love this look on her, what i don’t like is the weird blush on her cheeks, it makes her makeup look dated. I think she looks fabulous overall, ostrich feathers and all.

  29. JuJuBee says:

I love that this crazy hot bitch hasn’t mutilated her face. So refreshing to see an actress that still looks like an older and better version of herself.

  30. Lynne says:

Damn, I had no idea who this was! I agree, soften the eyeliner and add some lashes!

  31. The Truth Fairy says:

Women her age should NEVER wear black eyeliner.

  32. Eleonor says:

    How old is she?
By the way far better than Madonna.

  33. Roxanne75 says:

    wtf?

  34. Jeannified says:

    She looks fab!!!

  35. Sparkly says:

I am also rolling over the “Kate Middleton eyeliner”. Spot on.

My first thought when I saw her was Elvira, but I Cruella’s a good call too.

  36. Minx2 says:

She looks great except for the makeup.. if she just toned down a bit the eyeliner and a softer shade of lipstick, she would have been fabulous. That dress is vamp-like yet tasteful. Madonna should take notice.

  37. Az says:

I love the look from head to toe. he is the only person on whom it would work. Sharon is batshit insane but I will always love her.

  38. Lauren says:

Sharon has a genius IQ. What makes her insane? She has amazing bone structure..and is the mother of three children. Still love her.

  39. T. Redd says:

FINALLY dressing/acting age appropriate. LOVE IT!

  40. Bobby the K says:

    Approaching Bride of Frankenstein.

  41. Juu says:

I hated everything about that look: the feathers, that tacky makeup and huge hair… even the accessories. Hated it!

  42. Cha Cha Loca says:

I can’t stand Sharon but the bitch has always been and still is FIERCE on the red carpet. If she could just give Vadge a few fashion pointers…

  43. LaLaLoo says:

    Faboosh and Hot!!!!!

  44. Emily says:

I love it, but I’d prefer a little less eyeliner. But I think she can still pull of the red lippie-hopefully I’m still able to do that at her age!

  45. Maritza says:

The beehive is not that bad and the dress either, its the black eyeliner and red lipstick that killed it.

  46. Maria Marie says:

I think she looks great, but for some reason she reminds me of Leo’s supermodel girlfriend, Bar.

  47. dj says:

I love it except ditch the too heavy black eyeliner. As we women of a certain age know it ages us more than necessary. It can still be worn just not so much and underneath the eye. Otherwise, she looks gorgeous and works that carpet. Beginners: take notes!

  48. Becky says:

IMO, she looks like she’s had some botox. What woman her age has no lines on her forehead? She has great bone structure and obviously isn’t using fillers, but I think she’d look alot better if she gained 5 to 10 lbs. What’s that expression-after a certain age you have to choose between your ass or your face? Once you hit middle age, skinny doesn’t work too well.

  49. ViktoryGin says:

And the the liner isn’t even smoked-out. Fail. She would have looked better with a smoked-out brown liner. It wouldn’t be so overwhelming with her fair complexion. I hope that she didn’t pay a makeup artist to make her look like she’s approaching her expiration date.

  50. lucy2 says:

Still gorgeous face and amazing body, but the overall look was too harsh and severe.

  51. Ruffian9 says:

Ok, she seriously scares the crap out of me.

  52. madashell says:

@Becky: I just saw her on Piers Morgan and thought she HAD chosen her face over her ass, she looked great. Where the hell did those 5lbs go?

  53. Angel says:

I think she looked great 😀

  54. Elleh says:

The top n’ bottom liquid eyeliner racoon rings went out in the 1980’s – which is about the last time Sharon Stone was relevent. Heavy makeup on a woman her age only makes her look older. One can only surmise that Sharon’s stylist utterly hates her.
