Britney gets seriously airbrushed for the cover of her new single (update)

Britney Spears has lost a ton of weight and has literally worked her ass off in the last few months. And she looks amazing. But as the Daily Mail put it, “looks really thin… but not THAT thin.” The cover for Brit’s first single “Womanizer” has a hot picture of her… from what looks like a few years ago. Britney has admitted to having her head photoshoped onto older pictures of her body in the past. This just seems more like the air brusher went crazy.

No longer can the ‘pot belly’ and ‘jiggly thighs’ jibes be levelled at the comeback princess of pop Britney Spears.

The singer stepped out in Hollywood last night for a frappucino and a visit to the cinema looking slimmer than she has for months.

But on the same day promotional shots were released for her new single, showing the singer almost unrecognisable in a PVC bodysuit and stilettos.

The incredible shrinking Britney Spears stepped out to watch a movie in Hollywood last night looking thinner than ever

She looked so unbelievably svelte that it could perhaps be suggested that her shots had undergone a spot of airbrushing.

[From the Daily Mail]

Brit really does look incredible, but the Daily Mail is right, it still looks like they’ve airbrushed another ten pounds off of her frame. There’s also some fancy lighting to take into play. That obviously adds definition in some areas and conceals in others.

Obviously it’s part of the game to have your photos airbrushed. It’s not so extreme that you’d accuse Spears of trying to pull some con on us. It’s close enough to where she is now, just slightly perfected.

“Womanizer” was supposed to hit radio stations today, but has been pushed back due to some undisclosed problem with “the mix” – i.e. some technical issue.

Update: Breathe Heavy says these are fan fakes.

  1. That cover is just awful

  2. That’s cheesier than a Whitesnake video (Tawny Kitaaen writhing on a car, anyone?)

And her legs are shorter and muscular even when she is heavier. This is just silly.

  3. I don’t think Britney’s arm or calves were ever that thin, even at her best. She’s never been super tiny. Her hair looks AWFUL on that cover too…couldn’t that have airbrushed that?

  4. i think it´s supposed to be “over the top”…like those old movie posters…”attack of the 50 ft woman” and others. it´s cartoon-like. i think it looks cool.

  5. It’s not Brit’s body. And I don’t mean it’s an older pic of Brit’s body. It’s a computer generated body. Don’t know what they were aiming for but this just looks dated and tacky.

  6. it doesn’t look like an actual photo… more like a painting

  7. The bottom pic looks more like Beyonce than Britney.

  8. This can’t even be called a photo on any level. This is so airbrushed and fixed it’s become a painting. Her arms are barely larger than her calves, and her ankles, were they actually that small, would break under the weight of the rest of her body. No matter how much weight Brit has lost in the past few months, her arms have never been that tiny, and her real legs are far shorter.

I can’t believe anyone would say this really is a picture of Britney.

  11. I guess I’m alone in kind of digging the picture. :P

Come on, people! It’s not like Britney’s Bob Dylan! She can pull off the sketchy, air-brushed, stilletto-castrating, snake-covered man-candy thing.

But yeah, it’s airbrushed - you can really see it in her arms and legs.

  13. This is a fan-made picture. Obviously fake, but even the Britney camp wouldn’t go this far this soon.

  14. Anni, great minds, etc. Even if it was made by a fan, it’s a cool, kitschy kind of image. Like old-school Britney.

  15. It’s a pretty remarkable body there!

**wondering what a photoshopper/air brusher could do for me and thinking about investing a few hundred bucks to find out**

The only thing I’m not crazy about is that most of her fan base seems very young and may not quite be into S&M yet. Otherwise, whatever you wanna do, do it. It’s just a picture.

  16. When I saw the picture earlier today I thought the same thing, Anni, that it was like an old B-movie poster. They over emphasize all the womanly parts and hair… very kitsch, very cool.

Fan made or not, I like it.

edit - Yikes… writing at the same time as Kaiser and even used the same words. *sings Twilight Zone music*

  19. She looks better now, but I think people are going overboard with saying she looks amazing. Not yet anyways.

  20. Look at the lighting on the guys body too. It doesn’t look like its intended to be a “photo” to me. Just a cover illustration.

  21. Give it up already! Geez! This is just a cover! What is the big deal??? We all know Britney looks a million times better than a year ago. We all know she is is good physical condition. We have seen pics and Britney is hot!! Who the hell cares if that is not her real body?
This way they can’t knock her real self in any way can “they”? BEST WISHES TO BRITNEY SPEARS!!! YOU GO GIRL!!

Those are all chops, folks. The pics are her head cut & pasted onto different bodies…the originals were from her last big tour, I think.

  25. that isn’t her body at all. has to be a fake. Her body is much hotter than that IMO currently. She’s always been muscular and curvy even when crazy thin. This looks like the body of a 6 foot tall woman. if this is real someone made a big mistake!

  27. I photoshop myself all the time - reduce the red eye, lighten the dark bits, darken the bits that look shite (like my thighs), cut and paste, bit of a touch up here and there - you know, maybe whiten my teeth a bit. Sure never looks like me at the end, more like a fantasy of myself, but hey, who cares? If I want to see the real me I can just look in the mirror. Yuck. I think we all ‘photoshop’ in our own way anyhoo.. I mean, seriously, who keeps all the photos they take of themselves?? Dont you generally hit delete an awful lot?!!! I know I do. I only keep the really good ones of myself and I know its vain but I also know all my relatives and friends do the same. We all want to look at ourselves and think - yes, I look good. Pathetic, but true.

  28. This is ridiculously air-brushed. This image doesn’t even resemble Britney as she really is.

I don’t understand the need to promote such an unreal image of Brit, who currently has a really good toned healthy body into this unreal freak figure. In the first image her calves look like twigs that would snap at any mo, Brit has muscular toned legs that don’t in any way resemble these. Is a shame that this is the image being used.

No wonder young girls have such bad body image!

  29. So they took Tyra’s photoshopped-to-hell-and-back body and then photoshopped Britney’s greasy head on top? Lovely.
