On Sunday, I published the new photos we had of Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and all six of their children. The brood was walking around New Orleans, and they ended up buying some treats at Verti Market. The photos were cute, and notable because there hasn’t been a six-kid-strong public outing in a while. Also notable: how big Vivienne and Knox (and Fax Cannes, for that matter) are getting, and how all of the biological children basically all look alike. Anyway, for some reason, this outing was important enough to make the cover of People Magazine this week. Weird, right?
The family that sightsees together, stays together.
Roaming New Orleans last weekend, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were just continuing their family tradition of on-the-go together time with their brood of six: Maddox, 9; Pax, 7; Zahara, 6; Shiloh, 4; and 2-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
But the famously globetrotting clan isn’t always on the road: With the kids getting older, school schedules have started to take precedence and the family is often based in Los Angeles – where their day-to-day life is surprisingly ordinary.
“The family live in a way that can best be described as organized chaos,” an insider tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story. “Of course it’s wild when all the kids are there, and evening tends to be a bit chaotic with dinner and bedtime.”
Pitt, 47, and Jolie, 35, “are both good with rules, and there are definitely consequences, like time-outs, for bad behavior,” adds the source. “But for the most part the kids all get along.”

Okay, this is actually starting to scare me a little, because I genuinely like/adore the Jolie-Pitts. What is up with them? Why the People Magazine cover reinforcing their solidarity? What are they trying to prove? It feels like there’s another shoe that’s about to drop. And I’ve said it before – I can handle whatever negative Jolie-Pitt story there is, because there are millions of negative stories and Angelina and Brad manage to keep on making it work. But I get suspicious and worried whenever their press gets too positive and ass-kissy. And this cover makes me suspicious.

Zahara has such a royal poise and exude such feminine grace at a young age at that. A true african queen.
I understand that everyone is trying to make a living, so i can understand the paps job but i am tired of the systematic overexploitation of them as a product to put relentlessly on the covers of magazines and the fake stories and daily tomeaning process.
At least put a story inside (not on the cover), once in a while and a story that’s plausible.
The constant sensationalism , mediocrity and cheapness of the press as a whole is shameful.

they DO look like they all get along, and look after each other (the hand-holding, etc), and “organized chaos” happens with only three kids, so I’d expect it with six.
one of the funniest things I ever saw was my sister and s-i-l trying to feed/bathe/put to bed my 5 nieces and nephews. “organized chaos”, indeed.
and I really think the reason they made the cover of People is BECAUSE there hasn’t been a “full family” outing photographed in a while.

I am sick of the horrid stories that are published about these children especially the ones about the twins having Down Syndrome, or the horrific things Chelsea whatshername said about them. Maybe this is their way of fighting back against the crazy stories about their kids turning violent and all that other nonsense. All kids that age fight and argue. The tabloids really do go overboard with this regarding these specific kids. You never really hear any stories like this about other celebs kids. It’s actually pretty messed up when you think about it.

Here is my theory…She is pregnant E News did a side by side comparison and there is weight gain since the Golden Globes. This is why she’s been laying so low and isn’t staying in NOLA. They are trying to preempt the criticism that they can’t handle the kids they already have but it’s too early for them to announce a pregnancy.

They have painted Zahara like being an agressive ghettoish always angry little girl who terrorizes her siblings (you know the stereotype of the angry black woman). And look how this child is so maternal, sweet and protective of her little siblings. According Jolie she has always been a little mama with the twins and very girly.
They have painted Shiloh as being a boy with issues but we all see that she is a little girl who like to dress like her brothers. She still has the allure and the ways and gimmicks of a little girl… touches her hair like a girl.
They have painted the Twins has having Down Syndrom, but they both seems to show strong personalities, react to camera and sollicitations of the paps.
And what’s beautiful, all of those children act brotherly like towards each other wether adopted or not. There is absolutely no difference whatsoever.
They all seems at ease, closed to each other and grounded.
I am really disgusted by all the negativity and nastiness the tabs usually print about those kids.
They are normal kids, acting normal, living their kiddie life and happy with each other in their innocent world.
To hell Chelsea and all the other evil who are trying to put dirt on their innocence.

Their kids are so adorable!…I think its to do with their children aswell, it says on the cover ‘latest on their kids’ why not the couple?…I’m with the OP its to do with the backlash with the kids and show that they are like any other family out there with kids, they maybe a handful but the kids love each very much…It’s good to see Angelina has put on weight, maybe she is pregnant…xx

I think its a story because there aren’t a lot of pictures of them with all six kids at once. But now that the babies are getting older, it gets easier to take them places. Organized chaos is a great description. We have one less than they have, but that description fits our family too, especially in the morning when everyone is getting ready for school!

I said this on another thread, but I do think some of the kids are old enough to hear about the nasty tabloid gossip at school. So maybe one part family reassurance, one part $$ (come on, that was probably one lucrative 5-min walk), and several parts who knows what else. It doesn’t necessarily mean there’s any particular trouble at this moment.

I agree with the baby speculation, but not because of weight gain. Her arms and legs are still really, really thin, while her boobs are probably fake. I’m going to go with adoption this time, and this ‘happy family’ photo op is definitely to show that the nannies- ahem- I mean that they can handle the 6 they’ve got already.
People is in their pocket with the baby cover deals they’ve made, I’m sure they publish whatever image-friendly pics the Brange want in exchange for first options on future ‘exclusive’ new-baby-debut covers. Smart.

In an industry where their innocent children have been fair game, I don’t blame them trying to put out a positive story amidst all the negative stuff that’s been written about their children.
If you repeat a false lie often enough, people start to believe it. I remember a couple of times when Angelina would come on tv, people that I know didn’t follow celebrity news would regurgitate the tabloid headlines they saw while standing in grocery store lines as if they were facts.

Poor mymymy. By the bags Brad and the bodyguards were carrying they bought more than three things. Obviously Vivienne and Pax wanted to carry their treats .They are many pics over the years of the kids and Brad or Angie walking to that corner store to pick up some snacks.nnn ITA they make Zahara out to be the sassy black girl. Now that People can’t feature the Gosselins every other week, they need another “large” family to fill the void. I think we’ve all been Duggared out, too (or just weirded out by them). How are they cooperating? There are no quotes from Brad or Angie, just some vague insider- very tabloidish. People used actually have some NAMED sources for their stuff, but not so much any more. The last time Brad & Angie talked to People Magazine was summer 2009 at the la inglorious basterds premier…I remember Brad saying that “sometimes mom & dad need to hire a baby sitter, go away and get dirty”. In July 2010 they had a few Angie quotes about Brad being a great dad & how strange it was to be on set after 18 months off, but they seemed to come via a Parade interview. After the 2008 twins shoot, all the people magazine photos of the Jolie-Pitts have been pap or red carpet photos- so, where s this “cooperation”?

I saw a video with about ten paparazzi running and shouting trying to get in front of them to shoot pics. I would guess that accounts for the grim looks.I have seen a few pics/video of them smiling and Zahara whispering to Shiloh. Pax saying something to Maddox causing them both to smile. There is also a pic of Vivienne smiling. I guess after a couple days inside the wanted to take the kids out for a short walk to the store.Personally I’m glad they are back in LA where they seem to avoid the paps.I noticed the older kids are dressed very casual whereas the twins look they are going/coming to someplace more formal like church. That jacket Knox is wearing looks like a jacket I saw on Pax before.

I don’t believe that was “staged” or a photo op, I think it was just a nice day out, but given the PR relationship that couple has with People, I would be surprised if this ran without their approval. But who knows.

If they are suposedly unhappy or miserable based on the fact that they never smile, then Sandra Bullock is in more trouble because her baby is always caught on pictures with a distressed, grumpy amorphic look, not even the start of a smile, not even the begining of another expression that the usual one.
But i guess the double standard never cross anyone’s mind and certainly not the one of the same obsessive people who draw those easy conclusions on the JP kids who supposedly are never seen smiling (a blatant lie anyway) and Louis is no matter what a happy little fellow raised by a balanced woman and is expected to naturally turn fine on the contrary of the miserable JP kids.
And notice how there is never the same concern raised about Sandra raising ALONE at that a little African-American with no relation to his community, how the child will turn emotionally troubled and confused in racially codified America since he has a white mother and a former father who suspiciously showed some sympathy for a racist idealogy, yeah right !

The haters get dumber by the second. If this was a photo-op for People Mag, it would have been done in private with one photographer. Not out in the public where anybody could take photos. This isn’t even an exclusive photo. Every website and tabloid has the cover photo. People doesn’t even have a quote nevermind an interview. With the exception of the baby photos, I can only recall 2 cover in the past few years. One was an interview to promote Brad’s movie and the other was when for about 6 months the tabloids kept saying they were breaking up any second. For a magazine supposedly in their pocket, you would think they would be on a lot more covers. Reality stars like 16 and Pregnant and John and Kate have more covers. I love how people think it’s wonderful for Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston to get covers for getting a new boyfriend or moving on after a breakup, 5 years later. But when Brad and Angelina get one, people claim it’s a payoff.

I saw the video of them walking.. and I just love toddlers walking so cute. And Knox has that same Pitt gait.. Shiloh has it too. and the twins are really cute. Glad to see a picture of Viv that really shows how adorable she is. Lots of kids have long hair.. we saw it with Kate H, Celine, SJP and countless others. He is a really beautiful little boy.
Shame on the rags for printing nasty stories that these babies had Downs. That is a serious condition and it was only said of these children to attack their parents.

@Elfie – there were pics a while back with Brad (I think) holding a child in Rome, who looked like Knox but seemed to be the same size as Shiloh, and Kaiser, unable to identify categorically which child it was, and playing on the fact that A&B have so many children(!), invented a new one called Fax to account for the ‘mystery’ child. (It turned out to be Shiloh.) Since then, and because Shiloh, Knox and Viv can often look so alike in a lot of pics, fantasy child Fax is used as a temporary stopgap identity until the child is correctly identified!

Every picture I see of Knox, he always looks dozy. And Zahara is cute but the little twink is gonna have a critical mass Tyra Banks ten head, poor thing. I always felt sort of bad for Pax because of the timing of his adoption and the twins birth. It was like he was just added to round out the numbers. I realize probably not that way but he seemed a little over looked.

WTF are you talking about ? Pax was adopted at least two years and a half before the twins birth, 3 months after Jolie’s mum passed way and when Shiloh was turning one.
Plus why feeling bad for him ? If anything he was overlooked in that orphenage like most kids.
Now he has a rich loving family, 5 siblings and parents who spend more time with him than most of us who work can dream of spending with our kids with a 5 to 9 job, sometimes even two jobs and no partner to help us.

I am chilled and you can feel whatever you want, I am just correcting the so called ‘TIMING’ problem you have brought which is not true !
Pax has been in this family for the last 5 years, long before Jolie was pregnant with the twins and there were plenty of pictures where he was in Jolie’s arms as Jolie said that at the time she had to sleep with him to reassure him and couldn’t stay away the whole day because off Pax who only felt safe when she was there.
She even said that he was the only child that they didn’t leave to Brad’s parents like the rest of the grandchildren who soemtimes spent teh times with Bill and jane, because again, he only feel safe with Jolie. So she spent many times with him the first months.

I don’t think Angelina looks “chesty” well chestier than usual. She’s always been really thin with large breasts (for her frame.) Even when she was around 16 and did some modeling pictures her breasts were large for body. It’s possible she’s had implants but I’ve seen nude scenes and don’t think so.

I’m sure this photo shoot was staged in an “appease the paps” way. The PR person announces, “Brad, Angie and the kids will walk a few blocks and you can shoot all the pictures you like. Then they’s like to be left alone.” It isn’t a conspiracy. All celebs do it. That way you don’t get hunted down like Princess Diana.
I have a two year-old named Vivienne too. Was SO mad when Angie took the name.

well you and the other predictors of problems with these children really need to chill. I don’ read any comments about such worry about Charlie Sheen’s kids.
The JP kids seem quite happy. And one picture of the children in MONTHS.. well think what you want.
Mia Farrow was YEARS ago.. and there was no interest in her children. Just like there is not that much interest in the children of the other celebrities that as you say who use their children for media fodder.. I mean the ones that we see their children every single day. I wonder what therapy they are going to need.
YOU really should spread that concern around a bit more.

@Mrs Odie: They don’t need to call the paps. They are A-listers not desperate D-listers who need to beg to have their photos taken. Also they are always photographed in NO. They can’t walk around in LA because the paps attack and surround them. The NO paps keep their distance (staying across street) don’t harrass (no yelling). Plus they know where they live. The just have to camp outside of their house and follow.
There are a lot more photos of the kids of the Beckhams, Gwen Stefani, Sandra Bullock, etc than of the Jolie-Pitts this year. How come they are called good parents but Brad and Angelina are called exploitive. It doesn’t make sense. For people who the haters claim love the media Brad and Angelina are some of the least photographed celebrities.

Vivienne and Shiloh are gorgeous. Knox looks exactly like Angelina.Zahara is sweet , but no beautiful like Shi and Vivienne.
