Jennifer Lawrence covers Teen Vogue, is The Anti-Kristen Stewart

jl4

I have yet to see Winter’s Bone (I know, I know, I need to), but my respect for 20-year-old Jennifer Lawrence grew over the course of the awards season. She wasn’t the front runner for any of the awards she was up for, but it didn’t seem like a big deal to her. She just had some fun with fashion, showed up to every event while still maintaining some level of mystery. I know that she’s dating hottie Englishman Nicholas Hoult. I know she’s in the new X-Men movie (she plays Mystique), and that she was just recently cast in the film adaptation of The Hunger Games. Other than that, I don’t really know anything about her. I appreciate that in a younger celebrity.

Anyway, Jennifer covers the new issue of Teen Vogue. A word about the photo shoot: it’s absurd. They have this beautiful young woman with an amazing figure, and I know they don’t want to tart her up for a teen magazine, but Teen Vogue photo shoots always tend to lack… focus. Like, “Hey, put her with a hawk!” WTF? The full Teen Vogue piece is here, and here are some highlights:

On The Hunger Games and the Katniss character: “The cool thing about Katniss is that every fan has such a personal relationship with her, and they understand and know her in a singular way. I’m a massive fan too, so I get it. Katniss is incredibly powerful, brave and tough — and yet she has a tenderness and complexity.”

On graduating early, at the age of 14, to be an actress: “Some people think I missed out, but if I had the choice of being in class or moving to New York . . .” she says. “I got the childhood of my dreams.”

On her childhood: “I was a cheerleader for six years, but I also have this totally competitive side. I’ll wrestle anyone at any time,” Jennifer says. Though she’s gorgeous, she doesn’t exactly scream Glee Cheerio. “I was the manliest cheerleader. I had the lowest voice.” Growing up, she was a good kid: The biggest thing she got in trouble for was sticking gum under the living-room table. “I didn’t sneak out or drink. Once I told my parents to ground me because I was going to a party with alcohol. It’s kind of disgusting.”

Jennifer’s still not a huge partier. “I have fun when I go out—I mean, who wouldn’t have fun with me?” she says. “Sometimes I get anxiety about not staying up late enough. I’m not the one in the corner, but if anyone was like, ‘I want to go home and watch The Big Lebowski,’ I’d be right there with my hand up.” Jennifer shakes her head. “I’m not proud of it.” (It seems like, maybe a little, she is.)

On X-Men: First Class: “It’s easy to get pigeonholed, so I think it’s important that when one thing gets really big — it’s a wise decision to do the opposite. I had a blast. I was living in London for five months, and the whole cast . . . we all legitimately love each other. We got addicted to hanging out.”

[From Teen Vogue]

My favorite part of the article is when the writer takes a little creative license when comparing Jennifer to the current crop of Hollywood stars. Jennifer is compared to Angelina Jolie and Michelle Williams, and then there’s this: “Obviously people will want to compare Jennifer to Kristen Stewart, aka Twilight’s Bella Swan, but there’s no aura of awkwardness. To the contrary: Jennifer is super self-assured, and despite the help of Prabal Gurung and Oscar de la Renta dresses and beach-waved blonde hair, she’s equal parts badass and glamorous.” Hahahaha. That’s the nice way of saying that Jennifer Lawrence is not some slouching, lip-biting, eye-rolling, smug, unprofessional train wreck. Well done.

Also – not only have I not seen Winter’s Bone, I still haven’t read The Hunger Games. Do I need to?

  1. Jenna says:

The Hunger Games is just another lame young adult series that has somehow pulled in actual adults. Battle Royale was more creative.

  2. RHONYC says:

wow. i don’t know who she is but she reminds me of my ‘skipper’ doll i had as a kid. 🙂

  3. mln76 says:

Kaiser -YES you need to see Winter’s Bone and-HELL YES you need to read the Hunger Games the trilogy is a quick read I devoured them in less than 2 weeks but they are effing amazing. I kind of see the connection with the hawk and Hunger Games because Katniss is sort of a bad-ass huntress. I am really excited that they cast her but the male leads are giving me lukewarm feelings.

  4. mia girl says:

    @jenna
Disagree with the “lame” part… I really liked the Hunger Games. But can’t speak to your Battle Royale comment.

Kaiser – I say read them! If Lawrence is the anti-Stewart, Katniss is even more so the anti-Bella.

  5. David says:

Winter’s Bone was a very powerful movie.

  6. Babette777 says:

I loved the Hunger Games trilogy, but then my taste in sci-fi isn’t hardcore. I really appreciated the creative story (I describe it as a combination of Shirley Jackson’s “The Lottery” short story and the Mad Max post-apocalyptic movies). I haven’t seen Winter’s Bone yet, but really want to, especially after seeing the clip from the Oscars. I think Jennifer Lawrence is going to be great in the Katniss role.

  7. willynilly says:

Hated Winters Bone so much that I didn’t even finish it.

  8. Ben says:

I just read the whole Hunger Games trilogy last week. Do it!

  9. KJ says:

Hunger Games is just another YA novel series. I hear they’re quick to read and compelling stories, but they’re meant for teens I’m pretty sure, so don’t expect anything ground breaking.

  10. machiii says:

    shes gorgeous.-….totally hate her! 🙂

  11. ctkat1 says:

I really, really enjoyed the Hunger Games- I would compare it more to Harry Potter than Twilight. Not because they are as well written or as engrossing, but because they have the same “young characters but adult themes” as HP.

It’s based on a dystopian future, where the Earth has been wrecked by environmental hazards and the majority of the human race has become enslaved to the Capital. They’re good books, very fast and the main character is pretty awesome.

  12. Rose says:

    Peregrine Falcon, no?

  13. Crittle says:

I liked Hunger Games okay, they were pretty good for a YA series. I’m not obsessed or think its AMAZING or anything. I’m not sure if I want to see the movies or not, we’ll see if it comes out looking “teeny bopperish” which I don’t think the story is, but it could happen if the director wants to make it so.

  14. suki says:

I really liked winter’s bone, but i think you have moderate your expectations. It is a really slow, dark, moody film. It reminded me of Melissa Leo’s movie Frozen River if you saw that.

The reason to see it is because the acting is so superb, but if you aren’t someone who likes a slow brew movie, i think you will be disappointed…especially since the movie has been so hyped by people that loved it.

  15. serena says:

I don’t like her face, she’s not expressive enough and doesn’t have any particular feature.. she just seems another blondie, yeah maybe with a lot of talent, but for me she’s kind of meh.

  16. Kaye says:

I am not the target audience for The Hunger Games (i.e. I’m not a young adult) but I enjoyed the trilogy very much.

@Babette777 Good analogy! My description is that the series is a cross between 1984 and Lord of the Flies.

And Winter’s Bone is one of those movies that you are glad you have seen. It puts your own life in perspective.

  17. mln76 says:

@KJ I think the term YA is silly as is the idea that books with a young protagonist should only be read by those under 18. The Hunger Games actually is based on explaining post traumatic stress to young adults it’s well written it’s suspenseful and has a strong narrative. I’d much rather read that kind of book then some of the crap that’s written for adults.

  18. Kezia says:

You should definitely see Winter’s Bone -Loved it! Living in Ireland it was so interesting to see a place like The Ozark Mountains that i’d never heard of and people you don’t usually see in mainstream American film, it’s really, really good.

  19. KJ says:

@ mln76 I’m happy for you, then. I was simply pointing out that when you go to the bookstore, you’ll find Hunger Games in the YA section. Silly or not, it is what it is. If you have a problem with the term, write the publishing houses. I didn’t coin it, and I actually commented that the consensus is they’re quick reads and compelling stories.

  20. willynilly says:

“And Winter’s Bone is one of those movies that you are glad you have seen. It puts your own life in perspective.”

Um, totally disagree. I was so distracted by the horrible acting that I had to shut it off about 30 minutes in.

  21. curmudgeon says:

What a charming young girl! God why don’t I just sign up for an AARP card and a rascal and get it over with.
About the YA thing. Its a publishing term. Having said that, if you are over thirty and have read all the Twilight books and seen all the movies you might need some therapy.
Mother’s of teenage girls are excused.

  22. mln76 says:

@KJ hope I didn’t offend you personally. I obviously am not going to write a publishing house. Just pointing out that the term is silly-for instance classic novels like ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ and ‘A Catcher in the Rye’ could fall under the YA envelope because they have a young protagonist. Many times modern books with that kind of complexity are labeled YA and disregarded by the mainstream some of which are of a better quality then some of the modern adult fiction such as the Mom-lit/ Chick-Lit fare.

  23. Someone Else says:

I’m just impressed that she said she’d rather watch Lebowski.

I have a new favorite young starlet!

  24. Rachel says:

Kaiser! Yes, you need to read The Hunger Games. I, too, kind of see the connection between the falcon and The Hunger Games. I mean, it’s not like they can take a pic of her posing with a mockingjay.

Winter’s Bone is not a great story. However, the acting is amazing. I was completely blown away by Jennifer Lawrence’s acting and was convinced she deserved that Oscar even though I knew she wouldn’t win it. People who are not familiar with that kind of poverty or community would probably just think the movie was stupid or the acting was bad, but she has some serious talent to pull off that role.

  25. mln76 says:

@curmudgeon agreed the Twilight series are more like a cheesy romance novels with no sex Emotional porn for lonely women the Hunger Games doesn’t fall into the same category.

  26. Zelda says:

    @min76:

“…the Twilight series are more like a cheesy romance novels with no sex Emotional porn for lonely women…”

Oh my god yes. Seriously–no one climaxes that fast and that hard, with so little stimulation in such unlikely, contrived circumstances and with such god-awful dialogue instigating the whole thing.

In traditional pornography they do it too, but with orgasms instead of emotions.

  27. danielle says:

Yes! You need to read the Hunger Games!

  28. The_Porscha says:

If we’re prioritizing, definitely see Winter’s Bone first. I really liked “The Hunger Games” but that movie is amazing.

  29. KattyKat says:

I’ve been told I *need* to read the Hunger Games too and Stieg Larson and Water for Elephants. I’m not bothering with the last one because since the producers cast Kristen Stewart’s male counterpart against the lovely Reese Witherspoon and the very talented Christoph Waltz.

I’m too old to have an opinion of Kristen Stewart but I’m still young enough to think that BF of hers is not hot and after seeing the trailer for Elephants, not talented either.

  30. garvels says:

Beautiful girl. She sounds like a refreshing change from the Vanessa Hudgeons and Kirsten Stewart type. It actually is nice to see that actresses still do photo shoots with most of their clothes on. Ha Ha. So tired of seeing all of the semi-nude, sexually provocative, photo lay-outs in magazines of up and coming actresses.

  31. Aly says:

I enjoyed Hunger Games as an easy read, not sure if I will see the movie though. So far the casting has me shaking my head. I can’t see her as Katniss nor the guys as Gale and Peeta.

  32. KattyKat says:

@mln76 who are the male leads? As you can see by my comment about Elephant, I am PICKY about that.

And while I am not a regular reader of YA books anything has to be better than chick-lit. I’ve tried but I am just not that shallow (and I am pretty darned shallow to hang out on this site all the time). I couldn’t even read the Prada book but I LOVED the movie.

  33. xxodettexx says:

i love all kinds of books, as long as they suck me in and i especially love them if i randomly catch myself thinking about a scene i just read… and this series is definitely one of them… started reading them about a month ago, now on mockingjay and i really love katniss! [and cinna and haymitch!!]

  34. Katie says:

I saw Winter’s Bone and she was quite good in it. I think she is lovely. She still has a little bit of a baby face in a way. I think when she loses that little bit of youthful fullness in her face, she will actually be even more striking.

  35. lucy2 says:

I just watched Winter’s Bone, and she was really great in it. It was a good film, but mega depressing and dark.
I like her so far, and yeah, she does seem like the anti-KS.

  36. mln76 says:

@KattyKat here is a link with pics http://insidemovies.ew.com/2011/04/04/josh-hutcherson-liam-hemsworth-hunger-games/
IMO both too pretty and one is Miley Cyrus’s ex need I say more?

EDIT: Haven’t read WFE but I can recommend especially the first Stieg Larson book it’s just so gripping.

  37. Sloane Wyatt says:

I read ‘Winter’s Bone’ before I saw the movie, and I’m glad I did. The book is exceptional, capturing a real glimpse into today’s poverty and the scourge of Meth. If you liked ‘Scilla’s Sense of Snow’, it has the same type of vibe.

I liked the movie, but loved Jennifer Lawrence in it. She’s so good that she could pass for a real life citizen like many that are used in the movie.

  38. bokchoi says:

The Hunger Games books are much better than any of the Twilight books. MUCH.

  39. AmberlieJ says:

Winter’s Bone SUCKED! It is about a bunch of tweekers in the Ozark mountains! AWFUL movie!

  40. sassenach says:

I LOVED The Hunger Games! I don’t know if I will see the movie. I know that Lawrence as Katniss will be amazing but Hutchinson as Peeta will fail hard. He looks like her little brother.

  41. Amy says:

oh wow I didn’t know she was that young (younger than me!) When I saw her in all the Oscar pictures, I thought she was a lot older for some reason… Maybe it was the make up? I dunno but I thought she was like 30! Here she looks her age though.

  42. Falula says:

Winter’s Bone is next on our Netflix queue, and Hunger Games is great! All of my 6th graders are obsessed and now I am, too.

  43. carrie says:

a french movie journalist(who met her) wrote about her she was more ambitious than Blake Lively

  44. Paulie says:

Hunger Games is definitely NOT for kids. I don’t even know why they put it in that genre. It’s brutal and harsh. (spoiler) The novel ends with mutant dogs torturing a guy all night, eating off his body parts slowly, just to torture him, because it’s all aired to the public as a sporting event and they want to give them their money’s worth. No. It’s not a light read.

  45. gabs says:

I dont get why you hate on kstew so much. She pretty much keeps to herself when twilight isnt in promo mode and isnt a fame-hoe. Some people cant help being awkward. I like Jennifer lawrence too. She seems talented but winter bone looks boring. I do think she’ll be a good katniss though

  46. EbonyShiksa says:

And somewhere in the Upper East Side, Blake Lively is crying into Harvey Weinstein’s shoulder…

  47. Cleo says:

She was and looked awesome in Poker House. She looks like Maggie Cheung and Hoku (Don Ho).

  48. gee says:

    Hunger Games were great!

  49. Stephanie says:

She does have a hell of a lot more charm and substance than most young starlets (side-eye Vanessa Hudgens and Kristen Stewart).

  50. j says:

    @Carrie

Ambition is one thing that I can easily forgive in the face of talent, which Blake has none of. Jennifer was amazing in Winter’s Bone, and got picked for THG for a reason. While Blake likes to think she is an amazing actress and is not.

  51. Sheila says:

Watch Winter’s Bone… better yet, listen to the Fresh Air (NPR) interview with the director and then, watch Winter’s Bone… Even better yet, listen to the interview and watch Winter’s Bone… alone, when you;re feeling just a bit melancholy… The ending is a complete surprise….Jennifer Lawrence is astonishing in the film…

  52. Camille says:

She is beautiful. I think she is the ‘new’ Charlize Theron. Just watch. 😉

  53. argirl says:

Love Love Love The Hunger Games! Read the trilogy now. It’s so entertaining and appeals to a broad audience. Battle Royale was slow and painful. Didn’t love it so much.

  54. KG says:

Read all three “Hunger Games” books in three days (that’s unemployment for you!) and I LOVED them.

After seeing her in Winter’s Bone, I think she’ll be great as Katniss. The fangirls are just upset because she has blonde hair and isn’t 16 like Katniss in the books. When she can truly play the role of Katniss, they’ll love her.

  55. kazoo says:

she looks like a cross between jewel and bar rafeli. i think she’s so pretty, and i loved the red dress she wore to the oscars (or gg?).

  56. Liana says:

Ambition is a good thing in the industry. It’s HOW the ambition is displayed that separates the hard workers from the hoes.

  57. emma says:

Both the Hunger Games and Water for Elephants are great. I can’t wait to see the movies for them.

  58. Flan says:

She was great in Winter’s Bone and I like her attitude to life.

I think it’s good they put her with a hawk, why should the focus always been on a woman’s body? Especially in a teen’s magazine.

  59. Dingles says:

I wasn’t aware she and Stewart were even in the same ballpark. Unlike Stewart, Lawrence can actually act.

And I’ll add on some love for Winter’s Bone. I was living in the coal fields of southern WV when I first watched it and seeing the kind of poverty depicted in the movie really hit home. Incredible acting, compelling story.

  60. My Darling Pinkett says:

@KattyKat Lol. I still need to read Stieg Larsson and The Hunger Games, although I’m not all that interested. I started Water For Elephants and I am soooo bored. I was expecting it to be good, gripping, and for me to care more about the characters, but I find I’m just bored. Who knows, maybe you’ll like it if you ever read it, but I’m about to give up on it. Considering all the praise it got, I think I must be missing something. I won’t see the movie.

And I agree about Robert Pattinson. I’m 21, and I don’t find him attractive or talented, either. Same goes for his “girlfriend” Kristen Stewart.

  61. jamie says:

I can’t wait until people get familiar with this girl and totally turn on her. Try reading an interview someday. She’s dumb as a post. If she’s not talking about being attracted to her brother, she’ll talk about how “dykey” she is. As soon as she becomes overexposed via THG, this site will be hating on her as much as KStew. Maybe even worse, because unlike Kristen and Rob, who mostly lay low and hate the fame stuff, the THG cast is full of budding famewhores.

    • rahlie says:

Agreed Jennifer’s so generic. Nothing about her stands out and I can’t stand the way she mumbles through every line she has as if she has marbles in her mouth. Haters will be haters. At least Kristen and Rob show some emotion. And they’re not fame whores at all.

  62. Snarky_Pup says:

Beautiful girl and talented actress. Jennifer has a big future ahead of her.

  63. cara says:

MEh, I don’t think it’s fair to compare Kristen Stewart’s situation to JEnnifer Lawerence. Kristen never acted c u nty as a respected indie-actress pre-Twilight either. i just think twihards are so crazy, they’d make anyone a nervous, cranky hot mess. They’re insane, with their tent cities and shizz. I liked Winter’s Bone, but the Hunger Games are a TOTAL rip off of Battle Royale. I like Jennifer lawerence though, she’ll make a good lead heroine.

  64. Chris says:

“Hahahaha. That’s the nice way of saying that Jennifer Lawrence is not some slouching, lip-biting, eye-rolling, smug, unprofessional train wreck. Well done.”

    🙂

If she’s the anti-Kristen Stewart then I’m Team Lawerence all the way. The Winter’s Bone was a good book, I’m looking forward to catching it on DVD.

  65. Toni says:

KS is ungreatful, rude, vulgar, and has a career thanks to her parents and their connections. Every part was given to her through connections of her family or friends.
She can’t act to save her life yet whines and is arrogant. She truly thinks she is an “artist” and is above taking acting lessons because in her own words they would ruin her. JL should feel insulted to be compared to that Emo.

  66. almond says:

She seems and looks generic. If I saw her on the street I wouldn’t even think twice about walking past her without a second glance. She seems as bland as that Cornish girl. Interchangeable.

  67. Mrs. Darcy says:

I haven’t seen her in anything but she seems fairly grounded for her age. I think the shoot is pretty and fresh, there are more than enough slutty young girl photo shoots imo. Like Kristen Stewart in that pseudo 70’s porn one, yawn. This chick doesn’t seem dumb/arrogant enough to get papped smoking a bowl and then b*&ch about privacy. Wow I didn’t intend to snark on Miss Stewart, just saw her bit part in Into the Wild last night, her attitude does annoy me I guess! Just…why.

  68. GQ says:

    Beautiful and talented. Love her

  69. lea says:

    Love her, hate her,
but the fact that you’re always so damm obsessed with her is funny. Kaiser your obsession with stewart is quite unhealthy.

It said alot about your power when, a magazine future someone else in the mag but have to namedrop you.

Funny fact Jennifer Lawrence auditionned for Bella and didn’t get the part. Looks like she wasn’t that above it.

  70. susa says:

She’s a decent actress but overrated and rather dull. Even though she’s Oscar nominated, she behaves like a talentless wannabe, I’ve never seen such a fake poser on the red carpet. This is the first photoshoot I’ve seen where her breasts aren’t prominently displayed (then again, it is a teen magazine).

  71. somesay says:

remember when she dressed like this during award season? http :/ /static1.money.pl/i/galeria/253/4/46845/jennifer,lawrence. jpg

  72. Laura says:

“It actually is nice to see that actresses still do photo shoots with most of their clothes on. So tired of seeing all of the semi-nude, sexually provocative, photo lay-outs in magazines of up and coming actresses.”

    I’m assuming you haven’t seen Jennifer’s ESQUIRE pictures then…

  73. sarahk says:

YES read them. Quick read, massively entertaining. Yes, it’s YA fiction, but it’s GOOD YA fiction.

  74. Runs with Scissors says:

Winter’s Bone was good, but she was over rated by the critics. Have to wait and see if she actually has sustainable talent.

Sick of the K-Stew bashing. She’s uncomfortable with fame and doesn’t fit into a fake little box. Still rather have her around than 99% of the other fake fame-whoring bimbos. Give her time to grow up. Sheesh.

Remember Kaiser, you used to hate “Sparkles” too.

  75. Liana says:

Really with this article, I can’t believe a women with your degree would write crap like this for a living and not be embarrassed by it. Since when is awkwardness a bad thing, I can remember plenty of times were I had awkward moments, and still do. It’s disgusting that people are ridiculing someone for just being shy and awkward. Why must society pit women against each other. It’s hardly ever the case with men, what is acceptable for men and women in this industry is offensive and disgusting. I would like to know what is so smug and unprofessional about her? I’ve seen her interviews, she does her job, is very much involved in the crappy franchise that she’s in. I’d like to what deems her as such. I think what has people hating on her is the exposure of the franchise. It’s so typical. The fact that your sitting back and laughing about this is truly pathetic. The entire dislike for her comes from viewing women as symbols, she is not super self-assured, equal parts bad-ass and glamorous. This whole discussion is quite sad and demeaning.

  76. Hakura says:

@KJ“Hunger Games is just another YA novel series. I hear they’re quick to read and compelling stories, but they’re meant for teens I’m pretty sure, so don’t expect anything ground breaking.”

While I agree that that’s the case with a lot of ‘young adult’ books/series, I still don’t understand how some are considered YA, as they’re simply too good, too well written, with such mature subject matter. Sometimes they just make mistakes categorizing it, in my opinion.

My very favorite book series after Harry Potter is called “Abhorsen’ by Garth Nix. (There are 3 books.) I just adore it, & definitely don’t view it like most YA books. I read them at 21 too, So I definitely not a teen, but thats the section the book was in. I’ve never read the Twilight seriees at all, after my best friend said it really wasn’t well written, something I definitely believe coming from her, because we both enjoy writing.

  77. Lucy says:

Winter’s Bone was so boring, i fell asleep twice and i really tried to stay awake. I hope she is not overrated as that seems to portray her

  78. CHrissie says:

“And Winter’s Bone is one of those movies that you are glad you have seen. It puts your own life in perspective.”

    WTF?

  79. George says:

“KS is ungreatful, rude, vulgar, and has a career thanks to her parents and their connections. Every part was given to her through connections of her family or friends.
She can’t act to save her life yet whines and is arrogant. She truly thinks she is an “artist” and is above taking acting lessons because in her own words they would ruin her. JL should feel insulted to be compared to that Emo.”

@Toni at 65 is rather bitter towards Miss Stewart huh? Totally inaccurate of course. Kristen got her break when she was 8 years old whilst doing a school play. Her parents are a floor manager and a script supervisor. They did not have ‘connections’ and actually tried to dissuade Kristen from acting, but supported her nonetheless.

You look on her getting roles from ‘friends’ as a bad thing. This girl gets offered roles because she has an excellent reputation. Sean Penn, Jodie Foster etc worked with her and recommended her to others. That is a testament to her talent, no matter how you twist things. She is hard working, gains the praise of all her cast mates and gets more positive critic reviews than any of the Twilight cast. So take your jealousy because of who her boyfriend back to your play pen. LOL!

  80. hypocrisy says:

I see Krisbians have arrived to defend the next Maryl Streep.
Kristen Stewart got Twilight because her then beard, I mean boyfriend, knew the director and recommended her. The same happened with all the other roles. She, like Jake Gyllenhaal and Gwyneth Paltrow has a career thanks to nepotism. Playing white trash in every role, except Twilight, isn’t talent it’s playing herself.

KS is a famewhor like all the others only she is a hypocrite who whines as if she is a victim.

  81. Majosha says:

I don’t think “Winter’s Bone” was overrated at all. It was an outstanding film, and both Jennifer and John Hawkes were perfection.

  82. Rachel says:

I’ve been turned off by THG because the Katniss role has been hunted for, not because it’s good, but for hopes the actresses would be the next Oscar winner. That turned me off.

  83. A says:

It’s odd how frequently reporters make up facts, assuming readers are either utterly unaware or just stupid. Industry professionals, (ie. people who actually know her) constantly refer to Kristen Stewart as one of the most professional young actresses out there. Probably because she cares more about her work than worrying about dressing pretty for the media/public. Jennifer Lawrence seems like a really sweet girl who knows what she wants. Trying to compare or make rivals out of the two is not only ridiculous, but petty, and one of the reasons today’s youth feels it’s appropriate to see every up-and-comer as “competition” for each other. Yes, let’s foster all types of bullying, shall we? Fantastic.
