Arnold’s mistress threatened to go public when he fired her

Radar and Star Magazine have an inevitable follow-up in their story of Arnold’s housekeeper mistress. (When I first started writing this story I wrote “Mel’s mistress,” just look at the URL.) According to Radar, the woman threatened to go public with her story when Arnold fired her for some reason just a month ago. This doesn’t jibe with the timeline of when Arnold supposedly told Maria about his 14 year-old lovechild in January. I would think he would have kept this a secret as he’s done for years unless the mistress threatened to tell her. It’s still confusing to me, and this account may come straight from the mistress, who could be changing the timeline to make herself seem like the wronged party. Publicly she’s sort-of defended Arnold, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t been selling her story behind the scenes. It’s also possible that Arnold didn’t tell Maria until the sh*t was about to hit the fan and tried to spin like he told her back when they first separated. Here’s Radar’s report:

The mother of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s love child threatened to go public with sordid details of their illicit affair — all because the Governator TERMINATED her employment.

A blockbuster RadarOnline.com and Star Magazine joint investigation has uncovered the real reason behind the former California’s governor’s admission that he fathered a son out of wedlock — it was because a shameful Schwarzenegger fired his mistress from her job as a housekeeper in a desperate attempt to save his marriage to wife Maria Shriver.

The woman, Mildred Patricia Baena, known as “Patty,” was identified for the first time in our world exclusive report.

To protect his privacy, RadarOnline.com is not publishing the teenager’s name.

“Mildred was furious that the father of her 14-year-old son would callously fire her from her job after decades of loyal service,” one of the Mildred’s closest confidantes told RadarOnline.com, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

“She admitted to friends how she finally wanted to tell the secret — that she had kept faithfully for 14 years — to the world.”

Mildred even entertained the idea of coming forward and speaking with a magazine, the source said.

“It was a nuclear blow-up between her and Arnold,” said the pal.

It’s not known if the Mildred’s tell-all plan was ever executed or whether the threat prompted 63-year-old Schwarzenegger’s disclosure about his illegitimate child.

What’s clear, however, is that this revelation is in direct contradiction to claims that the ex-maid ‘retired’ in January after two decades working at the Schwarzenegger/Shriver estate in Brentwood, California.

“Mildred did not retire… she was working for Arnold and Maria until about four weeks ago,” a source told RadarOnline.com.

“But all of a sudden and out of nowhere, she was told there was no longer work for her.”

Said the insider: “Mildred took it hard.”

The woman’s apparent move to go public is particularly noteworthy given she had remained silent for so long about what inevitably has become one of the most scandalous political and Hollywood cover-ups.

[From Radar]

I still don’t get why Arnold supposedly told Maria back in January if this woman only threatened to go public a month ago. The whole thing is fishy.

Never one to give Radar credit for running an exclusive, TMZ posted this woman’s MySpace photos after a lead from The Daily Mail and put their logo all over them and acted like they had the exclusive. They also repeated already published information about her without crediting their sources. (I’m really surprised she hasn’t deleted her MySpace yet, but it’s still before 9 on the West Coast and maybe she’s sleeping in. It’s also possible she created it with an old email address she doesn’t have access to anymore.)

TMZ does have an exclusive (from what I can tell, who knows where they got the pics) with photos of this woman’s baby shower back when she was pregnant by Arnold. (At the same time that Maria Shriver was pregnant with her last.) To answer the question that many of you have been asking – no, she wasn’t a lot cuter 14 years ago. Is that harsh? Probably.

This is going to be Tiger-esque EPIC, I can feel it. Except this vile creature’s children are old enough to read/hear every single thing people write/say. I feel AWFUL for them.

And the fact that this other boy is the same age as his youngest child, that his wife and mistress were pregnant at the same time is just disgusting. (I don’t think I even know a word to describe how nasty that is. Would “vile” fit?)

  2. RHONYC says:

this is gonna cost him a fortune.

    good! 😉

  3. brin says:

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any ickier….

  4. Hautie says:

Oh good grief… when will this all end?

I am still somewhat confused. If the child is his, did he make child support payments according to his income level?

If so, she should be living a nice quiet life.

But it is looking to me she never got her own lawyer. If she was still cleaning his house till a month ago.

I bet Gloria Allred has been trying to sign this woman up! Just so she can have a press conference.

Remember, Gloria rep the last female that accused Arnold of forcing himself on her.

Things are going to get crazy.

  5. Blue says:

Something is off. I do think someone threatened to go public. When they announced their split, it was said Maria hadn’t been living in the home for weeks. It makes more sense, that he told her in January and that’s why she left. It doesn’t make sense that the made would have left in January if Maria is out of the house. I think she probably set him off and he fired her, then she sold the story. I dunno this shit is confusing

  6. OXA says:

In California I believe that all of his kids are entitled to the same standard of living. Pretty soon this woman will be able to afford her own crew of people to clean her toilets.

  7. Eve says:

Hopefully this will end any political ambitions he still has left.

  8. ZenB says:

Yesterday I was joking that Arnold missed a payment. Seriously, why is it breaking now?

She looks skanky (conch belt??) and oddly like a female Arnold.

  9. JuJuBee says:

This woman is vile and should crawl under a rock and stay there. Having an affair and continuing to work for the family is just without conscience. She’s just as disgusting as Arnold. They both deserve all the fallout they get from this. Shame on them both for being selfish.

  10. the original bellaluna says:

@ Blue – Mr. Bellaluna thinks it’s the mistress’ former husband who threatened to go public. At the time, mistress claimed the child was her husband’s. That makes sense to me. But something is still definitely “off” about this. And I’m afraid this isn’t the worst thing that’s going to come out. Dear God, I hope I’m wrong!

@ brin – It just keeps getting worse, doesn’t it? (mornin, BTW)

@ Eve – Hopefully this will end any of his “great acting career revival” ambitions as well.

  11. Cheyenne says:

The poor kid has my sympathy for having two despicable dirtbags for parents.

  12. Blue says:

Belluna I think the mister maybe right. That would make sense but this is getting ugly and I’m sure the shit hasn’t even hit the fan yet.

  13. Sue says:

This bitch is disgusting the fact that she threatened to go public because she was fired is just shows how vile she really is and the fact that she continuing to work for them and was pregnant the same time his wife is sicking and tells that she’s not sorry for actions.

  14. Eve says:

    @ Original Bellaluna:

@ Eve – Hopefully this will end any of his “great acting career revival” ambitions as well.

In this case, I don’t think it will — not that that matters to me anymore, I’ve stopped watching his films long ago.

I must confess I used to watch them back when I was a kid/teen (the real action ones, not those where he’s a kindergarten teacher or in drag). I stopped finding them amusing though.

P.S.: Funny fact: I never noticed his accent while watching such films in the 1980s. First because I wasn’t fluent in English. Secondly because when his movies were aired on open channels here, he’s dubbed by a guy with a beautiful voice, like a heartthrob’s voice. I remember reading a MAD magazine once (that mocked Predator, a movie I will love forever and ever, even with Schwarzenegger in it) and they mocked the hell out of his accent. I didn’t get it back then. Later on, when I had some knowledge of English and its accents, I started noticing it — and, of course, I did my very own impression of it. Recently I caught The Terminator on TV (with the original audio) and got to hear this:

    “Give me addrrrez zzzere”.

    LOL!

  15. The Bobster says:

Mrs. Skeletor must be pissed that Ahnode would rather jump the bones of this hideous turd worlder over hers.

  16. Lisa Turtle says:

It’s creepy. The whole debacle is really disturbing.

1.) This isn’t even a regular employee – employer relationship. There is a very clear line that you do NOT cross in terms have having sex with your staff. ESPECIALLY when the employee in question is involved in taking care of your home & family.

As someone who was raised in a family with a housekeeper & nanny, both who worked for the family for 25+ years, I would be absolutely horrified to find out my father had impregnated her and I had a half-sibling. There is a HUGE amount of trust between long term domestic employees and their employers.

2.) This is not an “affair” in the traditional sense of the word. An affair is between equals, and affair connotes lust and love and forbidden desire. An affair is akin to Camilla & Charles, or Brad & Angelina… Not “Patty, the Housekeeper” & Arnold the Governator. No, this relationship is more like Thomas Jefferson & Sally Hemmings. This relationship most closely resembles the relationship between Masters & their Concubine Slaves in the Antebellum South.

“Patty” could never have said NO to Arnold. Patty WOULD never say No to him. No woman in that position would. It’s not that Arnold is so sexy (too sexy for his shirt) No… It’s that Arnold is f*cking rich. And powerful. And she is a poor immigrant and she works for him as a maid.

The bargaining power between them was so unequal. Arnold had the deck staked in his favor. He chose to have an affair with a woman who was in a position so inferior to his own that she could not have said no. It would have been stupid for her to say no. We all need to take care of ourselves, and I’m sure she realized the amount of money that she could recieve to keep quiet about Arnold. She was taking care of herself.

Arnold is the one who crossed the line. He was the one who should have known better, the one who had the agency to act better. Once he pursued her, what was she to do? Get herself fired from a lucrative job? It’s not easy to get another, especially if your employer won’t write you a recommendation.

This is all on Arnold’s square, skeevy shoulders. He broke his family’s trust. He violated the natural boundaries.

  17. alma says:

she looks the same now, as she did 14yrs ago. I really do feel sorry for the kid 🙁 the media should just leave them alone.. and if she really did get fired, i’m sure Gloria Allred is already trying to get a hold of her!!

  18. constance says:

I think this is a story with numerous months of headline power. If the initial report is true, Arnie was informed of paternity at the point where toddler child was looking NOT like legal husband.

I think it’s terrible that he kept her close and secret this whole time. But I tend to think honestly goes a long way to righting a wrong.

I feel for every one of his children on all sides. They shouldn’t have to carry this drama.

Just a some thought about consequences goes a long way…

  19. TG says:

I can’t figure out what Maria had to gain by marrying him. She was a celebrity and part of an american royalty family why would she have married him in the first place since apparantly she knew he was a dirtbag goin into the marriage. Sort of like the same situation with Sandra Bullock what did they have to gain marrying these douches?

I saw her with her daughter at Georgetown Cupcake last year and she looked great and natural looking.

  20. the original bellaluna says:

@ Lisa Turtle – While I’d generally agree with you, there have been statements made that SHE pursued HIM and bragged about it to her friends. I’m not saying those statements are true, I’m just putting it out there.

  21. Eve says:

My favorite cartoon about AHHNULD ever:

    http://www.cartoonbank.com/2004/sign-on-the-highway-reads-welcome-to-california-you-may-begin-your-schwarzenegger-imitation-no/invt/127099/

It’s too small but it says:

“Welcome to California, You May Begin Your Schwarzenegger Imitation Now”

  22. Masque says:

@Lisa Turtle, that woman has skank written all over her. She’s just as cupable as Arnold. Not for one second do I think she is some meek housestaff who was afraid of her employer. Not for one second do I think she wasn’t actively involved in whatever they had.

I understand the (well written) point you are making and obviously there are many times that would be an accurate assessment. But not this time.

I hope both Arnold and Mildred pay for what they did. I feel awful for all of the kids and can’t imagine what they are going through.

  23. Ken says:

Are you kidding me, Arnie??? What the hell is that? It has to be the boobs that caught his interest. I’m always surprised when people down grade the side dish, especially when it’s a celebrity that can probably bone a chic that is drop dead gorgeous. Maybe it’s easier to do a fugly – less guilt??

  24. the original bellaluna says:

@ Ken – When one of my very dear friends (who was also friends with my ex at one time) asked my ex why he cheated with HER (a short, fat, pock-marked puppy-chow princess) do you know what he told her? He said (and I quote) “She may be ugly, but at least she’ll never leave me.”

Cheaters choose a woman who will make them feel bigger, stronger, and better about themselves. I’ve dubbed it “matching self-esteem.”

(My response to a similar question on a previous post on this story.)

  25. MorticiansDoItDeader says:

    1. She was making $60,000 on the books. How much was he paying her under the table?

    2. She was keeping the secret because she was getting money tax free AND didn’t want the husband to know the child’s true paternity (in order to keep her marriage intact).

    3. It’s quite possible he payed her MORE than she would clear if she were receiving court ordered child support.

All less than noble reasons to stay quiet.

  26. Annie says:

@24 – This woman is fugly, but from a purely physical standpoint so is Maria. Men don’t usually cheat because of physical appearance in my experience, they cheat because the woman gives them something their egos crave, sexually or emotionally or both (that could include simply feeling superior to someone as #25 said). You get the odd male golddigger too (Cibrian, Federline).

  27. Amanda G says:

LMAO…THAT’S the woman he had an affair with? I wonder if it was about love at all? How long did it last?

  28. I do a lot of childcare for private residences to put myself and my boyfriend through grad school. It’s not glamorous (I don’t even like some of the brats I sit for!), but it pays the bills. And since I’m the only one working, it seems like there are a depressing number of bills. . .

That said, I have quit cush jobs (like, fulltime employment, not just gigs) because I felt uncomfortable around an employer. One creep in particular would “work from home” and leer at me while I played with his kids. I quit after the first week – after he tried to give me a neck massage (in front of his children!).

I was infuriated. Frustrated on so many different levels -the least of which being, “how are we going to make the rent?”

So I understand the financial urgency and the need for job stability, but I would never compromise my integrity for a paycheck. And I expect to work with employers/coworkers who have that same ideal. (Which is probably why I don’t have a 9-5, haha jk. 😉 )

    * Be curious to know if Mildred was supporting children previous to her lovechild? I could see how one could make the argument that children might be a trump card in such a sordid power dynamic.

  29. sue says:

I wonder if she’s in the country legally? Maybe now she and Arnold can finally be together.

  30. sunseeker says:

TMZ is saying that Patty never threatened him, in fact she left home on Sunday. Her son is a wellbrought up little boy and a joy. And the neighbours are saying that nobody knew, she never told anybody. They were as shocked as the rest of us.
Both Marie and Patty are not the best looking woman in the world, but this should not come down to looks but how the children must be feeling, especially Patty’s son.

  31. sunseeker says:

I am still amazed that Marie never saw how the boy looked like Arnold, I am still not convinced that she had no idea.

  32. Sam says:

I don’t know. I don’t believe that she was money hungry in the beginning…maybe not even still now. I just think there is more to this than we realize. I feel bad for all parties involved aside from the Gov.

  33. You don't say says:

This whole situation is creeping me out. Maria defended him when all of those rumors came up during the election in California (sounds like Bullock and J. James), has a member of the household for years doing whatever, Arnold doing it with whoever and apparently on a frequent basis. All of the children must feel like crap (with his son changing his name on twitter to Shriver).

I am amused at Star bragging about this story. In this week’s issue it said the split was because he was going back to work in Hollywood and Maria wanted him at home more (to do what, screw around with some other member of the household?). Timing is everything and Star just always misses, along with being trashy as all get out. Creepy, creepier and creepiest.

  34. boo says:

I read somewhere that she has 3 other children, besides the one from Arnold. This article also said she has a four bedroom house with a pool, not bad for a housekeeper. Who knows what went on there, she wanted to keep her job or she saw an opportunity for cash and rewards, whatever it was, now the kids have to pay the price. The moral of this story? Greed is not good.

  35. Quest says:

It had to be the tatas…nothing else (really nothing else)… I feel sorry for the kid or any other kid that get caught in these kinda messed up situations.

  36. lucy2 says:

The whole thing is so weird, it’s so far beyond a basic cheating. She continued to work for the family, in their home, for 14 years!!! I feel bad for all the kids, and for Maria. I think she turned a blind eye to some of his nonsense, but sounds like him telling her this was the final straw.
I wonder if it was an ongoing affair. Ew, never mind, don’t want to think about that. But why else would she have stuck around so long, rather than quit, get a paternity test, and start living off hefty child support 14 years ago.
Missy #29 – I agree, I’d quit too. You can always find some other job, but you can’t ever undo what happened there.

  37. Madison says:

Mildred looks like an old version of one of Tiger’s whores. She must have thought she won the million dollar lottery when she had sex with the stupid married rich famous man and they didn’t use birth control. They are both vile people disgusting for what they have done to their children.

  38. Ann says:

    Arnold is pretty ugly himself.

  39. Vic says:

Lisa Turtle, stop looking for excuses for her sleaziness: “she is an immigrant blablabla”. One always can say NO. N-O. Simple. Examples: Would you, immigrant, sell and/or consume drugs? NO. Would you, immigrant, kill somebody? No. Would you, immigrant, fuck for favors? No. Anyway, she is low, but not as low as The Sperminator.

  40. Amazed says:

I guess the value that Arnold Schwetera… gave to his family was the equivalent to a sleazy orgasm.

  41. kazoo says:

ew, she looks like an ex-coworker of mine.

  42. yeeeessss says:

OMG you took the words right out of my mouth regarding the question about her being cuter 14 years ago..lol Your great CB!!

  43. lil says:

It seems that she had older children, and that she separated from her husband just after she had Arnold’s child (probably the baby looked half Austrian, not colombian, so…)
    .
I just hope the child would be left alone, and even if this is a mess, I do not thinlk at this point, after all these years that she’s a gold digger like the Uhcitel or others. She was caring for her family, still kept working (and still as a maid), got more money, but not a pension for his boy, and she kept the secret. And she should not be bashed for her looks.
She is a worker, not a rich woman from HW or wherever with all the time and resources to look good for pictures (and I am not saying Maria S. is shallow, but she does have resurces and she IS rich enough to do anything to look good physically)
It is not correct, yeah, but she had a stable job, and I think that at the end she wasn’t looking for fame, but for financial stability for her family.
Maria also comes from a family of known womanizers, sad that history repeats itself.
Republicans and democrats are flawed like everybody else.

  44. Jeff R says:

@TG/No.20: With all due respect: An “american royalty (sp) family?!?” We don’t have royalty in the USA. The Kennedys, the Bushes, the Cabot Lodges, the Cuomos, et.al., are political dynasties. Some of said families are quite wealthy. That doesn’t mean that they’re royalty. Seriously, what is so special about royalty/”American royalty?!?” The alleged Nazi sympathy of certain European royal families? Edward and Wallace? Remember Chappequidick (sp)? The allegations regarding JFK and Judith Exner (alleged Mafia mistress) and the wonderful Marilyn? The foibles of the British Royal Family?!? Money, titles and lineage may provide one with power, position, privilege and celebrity but they don’t imbue class, being a good person, etc., nor do they automatically merit admiration and respect. That needs to be earned.

In response to some of the other commentors trashing “Patty” and praising Maria: I feel sorry for all of the kids and any possible forthcoming ones, but Maria is ostensibly an intelligent, educated, savvy, wealthy woman and she defended her scumbag husband against allegations of groping when Hollywood was rife with tales of the same – over decades! I find it hard to believe that she didn’t have an inkling. Puh – leese! If she stayed in the marriage for the sake of the children, to promote her values, charities, etc., as First Lady of Ca., to further his career, whatever, Oh well …. the truth has finally come out and bitten her in the ass. The ones who are going to suffer are the kids – they are the innocent victims of their parents’ decisions/actions.

Patty? I have no clue what she’s like as a person. I would be curious to ascertain whether or not she has older children. There was definitely a disparity (financial and social) between her status and that of the scumbag. Perhaps she fell for him or perhaps she decided to use him – none of us know the truth. People compromise their values and/or prostitute themselves all of the time in our Society – let’s get real – so let’s all try to be objective about her. She might be a conniving bitch, but then again maybe not. The bottom line, IMO, is that all of the kids ended up getting screwed, directly or indirectly, by all of the adults involved (including all of the adults in the know.) Best, Jeff R

bellaluna: the fact that this other boy is the same age as his youngest child, that his wife and mistress were pregnant at the same time is just disgusting.
    ========================================

He and Ben Harper should compare notes sometime. Harper knocked up Laura Dern three or four months after he impregnated his wife.

  46. Kisha says:

When scandals like this go on it makes me wonder why all the attention goes to the “whore” or “mistress” All the malice should be directed at The Sperminator, Arnold, he not only had this woman in his employment but continually f**ked her in his home that contained his children and his wife Maria.
These guys seem to walk away scott free with a bad boy rep on their hands while the family is left with the fallout and the shame.
In my world, there would be mandatory neutering of this horndog .

  47. Mia135 says:

Yikes, Daily Mail is reporting that Patty’s baby was born just five days before Maria gave birth.

  48. jenni says:

Going off this article and many comments here, it shows how women can be so shallow, way more shallow than men in certain ways. Men are far more into ALL forms of beauty, using all their senses, beyond just sight. They aren’t hung up on if a woman is photogenic or not. Use your imaginations people! In real life this lady is probably soft to hug, probably smells good, she probably has a cute accent and warm sounding voice. She probably laughs a lot and has an upbeat personality. That’s why Schwarz. AND MARIA had her around 20 years — she has to be good stuff to have around, liked by men AND women. And I bet Maria never suspected a thing, not because Maria’s stupid beacuse I think she seems way over average intelligence as well as really cool and beautiful. But Maria was probably fooled because this type lady is smoooth as a snake. She probably is VERY sweet and warm in personality. And there are tons of women out there exactly like her. Women who understand a man’s psychology way more than many of the commenters on here do, who think a woman’s attractiveness to men can be boiled down to photographs. Skinny, photogenic women think WAY too highly of themselves.

  49. CooCooCatchoo says:

Ugh. I bet Maria feels like she was played, big time. She was paying this woman a VERY good wage, and she trusted her enough to have her work IN HER house, around her family. I’m sure she treated Mildred very well, and probably like a family member. The whole time, that backstabbing ho was doing her husband. I wonder if Maria ever wondered why Mildred’s kid looks JUST like Arnold. Maria probably wants to throw up and beat the two of them with a bat.
I hate women like Mildred. And she shouldn’t kid herself. The only reason Arnold even bothered with her is because he’s lazy, and she was probably throwing her big boobs in his face the whole time. Why do you think men cheat so often with women in their offices? It’s because there’s no effort involved. They’re both despicable.

  50. wunderkindt says:

omg, he must have been drunk off his a$$ to F-k that!!

  51. Lisa Turtle says:

    @ #50 CooCoo

Do you really think Mildred/”Patty” slept with Arnold because it made her feel good about herself?

Please. She was working for the REAL family, the LEGITIMATE family. Everyday she went home to take care of her son who she raised ALONE. Every single day it was ingrained in her head that Arnold was established, he already had a family. She had to keep up the lie to protect him. So she kept up the lie, and Maria never suspected a thing.

She’s been paying for her indiscretion for years. She CONTINUED to work for Arnold after the child was born probably because it was the easiest way to cover Arnold’s tracks. He could give the housekeeper a raise without Maria suspecting a thing.

To me, that relationship could only be described as one between a Concubine and a Master.

    @ Masque

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my post. I appreciated your response as well… However, I wouldn’t believe the reports that she “went after” Arnold. lt sounds like spin control to me. I think if that were the case, and she was aggressively pursuing him, Arnold would have fired her on the spot. Or, once she got what she wanted (a child) she would have sued him for paternity, and made a lot more than $60k a year, plus she wouldn’t have had to work as a housekeeper anymore.

I imagine there was some minor courtship & wooing on his part. Something to keep her quiet for so many years, something to make her think that she was special to him. Typical pathological bullshit. Monica Lewinsky thought the President was in love with her too.

@ Missy – I think that its great you quit that job… But you are in grad school. This isn’t the end of the road for you, its only the beginning. I think its unfair to compare your position, as an upwardly mobile grad student with a temporary job, to someone who will always be a housekeeper. The reality is that she was 40 years old. She was an immigrant. This was probably the best job, in the nicest house that she could ever get.

@ Vic #40 – You think its crazy that immigrants would do those things? Have you never heard of drug trafficking? Swallowing drugs and working as a “mule” is something that immigrants trying to get to America do all the time. When you are desperate or without options, you will do anything to survive.

And to all of those who are saying Mildred/”Patty” is just as culpable as Arnold… Do you all really believe she had the gumption and ability to up and quit? Think about it really, put yourself in her shoes.

  52. originalgracie says:

@Kisha and Jenni: RIGHT ON to both your comments. Well said.

  53. JoJo says:

    Arnold. The Sperminator.

  54. Linda says:

You can see that she and Arnold are perfect for each other!

  55. CooCooCatchoo says:

@Lisa Turtle: Yes, I think that the flirtation and affair with Ah-nold made Patty feel very good about herself. I have no idea what her own marriage was like, but she and Arnold were obviously getting some emotional satisfaction from their dalliance. I think that she was very calculated in her relationship with him. I don’t buy into the whole servitude theory. She could have said NO. Did he cross an ethical boundary? You bet. But to equate her situation with Sally Hemmings is a stretch. I don’t think that Patty or Arnold are good people. She knew that he was married and had a family, and I think that she was a happy participant in the affair. Just because she kept quiet doesn’t mean that she’s a moral person. Really, she was shitting all all over Maria’s hospitality and trust for years. Patty may have had a tough life (raising her children alone and cleaning people’s houses for a living… waaaaa… there are millions of women who do the same and make WAY less than $60k a year) but it doesn’t excuse her behavior. Maria may be kicking herself for being away from home so much, but who would ever expect their husband to cheat with their dumpy middle-aged housekeeper?
I do believe that this Patty woman encouraged Arnold’s attention. It was probably the biggest thrill of her life, and right under his wife’s nose. I know this kind of woman – she’s a nightmare. My nightmare lived across the street from me and flirted with my husband when I was inside taking care of our children. She texted him naked pictures when when she knew I was asleep for the evening. She didn’t really want my husband, but the security that he represented as a good husband a father intrigued her. I used to babysit her children and listen to her endless hard luck stories. It was just a thrill for her to try and get something she couldn’t have. That Patty woman is cut from the same backstabbing ho cloth. So, no, I don’t feel sorry for her at all. She’s evil. I feel sorry for Arnold’s wife and their children.

  56. cindy says:

Could the husband not tell that the child wasn’t his? She might have filed the divorce but it could be that Daddy of the birth certificate finally realized “Hey I’ve got black eyes and hair and my kid has brown and blonde (and mama doesn’t have teeth like that much less blonde hair) mmmmmmmm?”

  57. John Wayne Lives says:

    @ Lisa Turtle

I never thought of it that way. Nice point. But Arnie strikes me as the kind of cheater that throws out hints to everyone woman, and follows what sticks.

  58. John Wayne Lives says:

    and @Jenni

    Bravo! your whole post!
    especially the last line lol

  59. CooCooCatchoo says:

PS, please don’t buy into the whole “poor, uneducated immigrant with limited opportunities” BS about this woman. She lacks moral character, plain and simple. There are many, MANY women like her who rise above the crappy hand they’ve been dealt. They find a way to get an education to make a better living. Unless you’ve ever lived in LA, and worked with the rich and famous, you have no idea how many opportunist there are in that town. I’ve lived there and worked in the entertainment industry – and this woman is just like the leeches and star f***ers I’ve known. She’s not an innocent victim – and I hate the fact that the “race card” has been introduced as part of the story. Either you’re a user or your not. She’s a user, trust me.

  60. MorticiansDoItDeader says:

@coocoocachoo, we have a woman like that on our block; always outside dressed like she’s on the ho stroll. She broke up my nextdoor neighbors because she was screwing the husband. After they divorced, sold the house and moved she started screwing the dude across the street while his live in girlfriend was at work. I’ve NEVER spoken to her, but the other day she dropped off a new baby gift (for my 6week old son). She even signed the gift Donna (the lady on the corner with the two dogs). I showed my
hubby the gift and joked that she must have her sights set on him next. Sad part is, that may not be far from the truth! Little does she know, I will cut a bitch (figuratively speaking of course) if she steps within 100 feet of my hubby 😉

  61. CHICKIEBOO says:

SHE ISN’T ENTITLED TO CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS FROM ARNOLD BECAUSE HER HUSBAND WAS LISTED ON THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE AS THE FATHER IN MOST STATES IF THE FATHER DOESN’T DISPUTE PATERNITY AFTER A YEAR THEN HE IS THE FATHER LEGALLY DOESN’T MATTER ABOUT FUTURE PATERNITY TESTS ARNOLD WILL SUPPORT THE BOY BECAUSE MORALLY IT WOULD BE THE RIGHT THING TO DO LEGALLY HOWEVER MILDRED DOESN;T HAVE A LEG TO STAND ON SO TO SPEAK

  62. poodlemom says:

Now who’s gonna do the dishes?

  63. Venus says:

The side-piece’s look is irrelevant — men don’t cheat because their wives are ugly, fat, too skinny, etc. Men who cheat do it because THEY ARE CHEATERS. Point.Blank.Period.

IMO, focusing on the side-piece’s looks just reinforces the misleading idea that if wives keep themselves “attractive” they will not have to worry about their hubby straying. That just isn’t true. Whether a man cheats or not is ON HIM, not the wife. In other words, if a woman is married to a cheating a–hole, he is going to cheat regardless of what the wife does or doesn’t do.

  64. CooCooCatchoo says:

@MorticiansDoItDeader – You always have to have your “wife radar” on – you are so smart not to get to know “Donna with the 2 dogs” – literally, my girlfriends (and my gay BFF) told me that they felt that our neighborhood ho was trouble. She was. I will be much more careful about becoming “fast friends” with new women. There are women who have terrible self-esteem, and they’ll look for their fix anywhere – I was a VERY good friend to my neighbor, and she still just did what she wanted to do. AND I had a one year old baby at the time. Protect what is yours. I realize that no one “owns” their spouse, and people are going to do what they want – for Pete’s sake, I’m a stay at home mom and never left my house, and that flirtation still happened under my nose. I am glad that Karma is a byatch – every dog has their day, and living well is the best revenge!

  65. eva says:

As mentioned in the post the timing is quite confusing and conflicting. Here’s a theory on the timing. If Arnold and Maria separated in January on the grounds of general philandering, Patty probably thought she had a chance to be the public girlfriend instead of the f-ck-buddy. She probably kept hinting, pressuring for a ‘realtionship’ , using her job to access him over the past several months. There’s no way Arnold would ever have a public relationship with her. Arnold may have thought firing would get rid of her. When she finally realized it would be ‘when hell froze over’ before he would publicly date her, so she sold her story to the tabloids. So Arnold had to tell Maria only recently.

  66. the original bellaluna says:

@ CHICKIEBOO- I can’t speak for other states, but in California legalese he would be dubbed a “Claringer Kid.” (sp? It’s named after the precedent-setting case of a man who willingly raised another man’s child from a very young age. When Claringer and wife divorced, he didn’t want to pay child support for a child he’d raised as his own. Court said “Tough noogies, dude. You pay.”)

Spoken as the mother of a Claringer Kid and the daughter of a FIERCE family law paralegal.

  67. ZenB!tch says:

@dps I was wondering the same thing. This is a classic Gloria Allred sexual harassment case.

  68. ZenB!tch says:

So is this story as huge outside of Los Angeles (and California, perhaps) as it is here?

I wonder because this isn’t the first time a famous man has knocked up the nanny. Jude Law wasn’t all over the news. Neither was Ethan Hawke.

I haven’t heard a peep about the French rapist all day. I am much more interested in that to be honest. The Polanski angle and all that.

However, I’m in LA so I don’t know if that is why its so huge (Jude and Ethan were not local). Or if its because he was the Governator or because he married a Kennedy or all of the above.

Sure she’s fugly but so is Robin Williams’ nanny/ex-wife #2. That one has a mole on her face. This one has cellulite on her ankles and really bad plastic surgery (Governator and Nanny’s discount?).

  69. truthzbetta says:

This is every bit as f’ed up as the Tiger Woods scandals. This is nearly John Edwards level– but definitely Tiger Woods level.

Both these two man ho’s lied, faked, pretended to be these family friendly heroes to make their dough off what they knew was a fortune in the making– public good will. They psychopathically portrayed a good guy as a character and fooled kids and families with their schtick. Low.

You had a good run, Arnold (and Asshole Tiger), you had me and millions of others fooled. We helped make you richer than you ever deserved as you promoted your family fun reputation for us all. You’re rich, you won.

So go away now you lying scum. His father was a Nazi, can you believe that? No wonder. The apple doesn’t fall too far from the Nazi in this case. I mean we don’t know what the dad did in uniform so for all we know Arnold has hurt more people than his dad — like his kids. His own kid renamed himself; that’s a huge level of pain.

The level of shitbag Arnold is galls me. I mean the levels of deception … he lied as a global superstar, he lied as a politician to voters. He lied to his entire family for decades.

This shitbag owed the public on a lot of levels and he was nothing but a lying, hypocritical scum.

I don’t care if he’s not the first, or the last to be this big of a lying grifter … he got away with it too long and I hope we at least can be done with this particular lying fraud. May this titan fall for good.

  70. MorticiansDoItDeader says:

@Coocoocatchoo, “wife radar,” so very true! And I couldn’t agree more with your advice. I’m debating whether or not I should even write her a thank you note. Part of me believes it’s the right thing to do; but the other part of me thinks she might try and use it as an “in” somehow.

  71. ZenB!tch says:

@CooCooCatchoo I’m slowly weeding through the comments. I’m the college educated daughter of a (legal) Latina housekeeper and you are totally right. That skank totally knew what she was doing – look at the top picture that is totally “Donna with the 2 Dogs”. My mother would never have done anything like that unless she literally forced.

No one is crying rape here.

My mom would have quit her job and gone on welfare before going there. I know this for a fact because she did for a while.

I learned how to survive from my mom not how to spread ’em and get myself a big house in Bakersfield (BAKERSFIELD – gawd she sold low – oh right trash loves trash).

PUHLEEZE don’t throw the uneducated card. Uneducated is not analogous with stupid or immoral.

  72. truthzbetta says:

    MorticiansdoitDeader

That woman means you no good. Do NOT let your own goodness make you feel you owe her a thing– the fact that her little note has you thinking about how you owe her shows she’s an expert at what she does.

That’s all these grifters do. Use human emotions against good humans while they clearly have some other strange set of motivations. Watch out for your family and do not be pleasant to the grifter.

It’s ok to be very unnice to someone whose reputation preceeds her that much.

  73. ZenB!tch says:

@Lisa Turtle “Once he pursued her, what was she to do? Get herself fired from a lucrative job? It’s not easy to get another, especially if your employer won’t write you a recommendation. ”

Yes, that is EXACTLY what she is supposed to do. Actually, she is supposed to quit but that is just semantics.

You would rather her be a prostitute, selling herself for a crap job?

  74. Trashaddict says:

Who writes these stories?: “decades of loyal service”. Was that tongue-in-cheek (hmm that’s an unfortunate analogy)?

  75. ZenB!tch says:

@coocoocatchoo “Maria may be kicking herself for being away from home so much, but who would ever expect their husband to cheat with their dumpy middle-aged housekeeper?”

The irony is that my mom the retired housekeeper always told me to hire a dumpy nanny. Thank goodness I haven’t had kids.

My mom actually called me to ask if I’d seen “THAT WOMAN” who Arnold knocked up because well… she was expecting someone prettier and slightly classier. This isn’t going over well with Latina housekeepers. Not that I blame them now they are all going to be as suspect as Swedish au pairs.

  76. ZenB!tch says:

I know this is totally semantics but I don’t “feel sorry” for Maria. Feeling sorry implies pity. I “feel sorry” for Patty for being a pathetic, evil witch and I “feel sorry” for Ahnuld for being a small, weak girly man.

Maria has my sympathy not my pity. She has conducted herself with such grace and dignity that I can’t “feel sorry” for her. I admire her and even though I don’t know her, I am very proud of her. She is a wonderful example of grace under pressure.

One would hope I would conduct myself with such grace if I were in this situation but I would be more like the character Angela Basset played in “Waiting to Exhale”. I would be burning his clothes and his Bentley.

  77. Lisa – I don’t doubt that there’s an abusive power dynamic between a celebrity like Ahnold and the hired help. Some of the families I sit for also use maid services (because if you’re too busy to raise your kids, you’re too busy to clean your house). I don’t envy the (exclusively Hispanic) women (and their poor daughters!) who are hired to clean. I’ve seen some upper-middle class ego trips that are none too pretty – I can’t imagine the pressure coming from someone with actual clout.

While I doubt she was “the seductress”. . . I don’t think she was a victim, either. In truth, I don’t really have an opinion of her either way – I just think she’s the first of many. Which is just. . . really, really sad.

  78. Julie says:

    Arnie is to blame 100%!!!

  79. haribo says:

    @CooCooCatchoo:
I agree with you 100%! She lacks moral character, plain and simple.
Anyone defending this woman must be cut from the same cloth!

  80. really says:

Maria should sing praises to Jesus that she is not with that cheating lying idiot (Arnold)…….. and his choices in women to cheat with is pathetic!

  81. Chris says:

Wow nice rack. And I think they’re actually real.

  82. capepopsie says:

    # 49 I fully agree with you. Besides the real loosers here are definitely the kids in both families. Feel sorry for them. This akward situation is humiliating for everyone. Their world is crumbling, and there is nothing they can do about it. Extremely frustrating for them, poor things.

  83. Jazz says:

I feel bad for all the kids involved, they didn’t ask for any of this, but I bet that never even entered Ah-nuld’s tiny mind.

    Austria can have him back!!

  84. sunseeker says:

    HARIBO

What about Arnold, woman blaming woman, no wonder men play about. Have just seen a photo of her son in the Mirror, he is the spitting image of his father and you tell me Marie did not know? I think she knew for years but kept stum, she is miffed because it out in the open. Yes,Patty should have know better, what happened nobody knows there are so many different stories, all we know is that Arnold is a player without morals or character.
No, I have never cheated and I don’t lack moral character, but I have most likely lived longer than you and life is not just black and white. We should just remember that the children are all old enough to read this.

  85. Eve says:

    @ Truthzbetta:

So go away now you lying scum. His father was a Nazi, can you believe that? No wonder.

I don’t know if Schwarzenegger has “nazi tendencies” but I found some really, let’s say, interesting quotes from him on this site (I posted the link on the other thread):

    http://www.endevil.com/endevilarnie.html

    My favorites:

“My friends don’t want me to mention Kurt’s name, because of all the recent Nazi stuff and the U.N. controversy, but I love him and Maria does too, and so thank you, Kurt.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger on his friend and fellow Austrian Kurt Waldheim, a Nazi war criminal.

“My relationship to power and authority is that I’m all for it. People need somebody to watch over them. Ninety-five percent of the people in the world need to be told what to do and how to behave.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger in a 1990 interview with U.S. News.

“I was always dreaming about very powerful people, dictators and things like that. I was just always impressed by people who could be remembered for hundreds of years, or even, like Jesus, be for thousands of years remembered.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1977 film Pumping Iron.

  86. Maritza says:

The boy is a little mini Arnold, I’d say he is the one that most resembles him. I wonder if now that everyone knows if she’ll give the boy Arnold’s last name?

  87. MorticiansDoItDeader says:

@coocoocatchoo @truthzbetta, you’ve both said exactly what I needed to hear. I don’t want my kindness to be mistaken for weakness, so I will just ignore her altogether and hope so goes on to wreck a different home.

  88. bluhare says:

    @Lisa Turtle: I agree with you 100%.

I know of a very similar situation that started very consensually and did not end that way. The person in the subservient position got royally screwed financially as well, and tried to take the high road, which in retrospect wasn’t that smart. She missed the deadline for when she could have sued the bastard. So now he’s sitting on top of the world, having sold the company she helped create, and she’s trying to find a job.

  89. Cheyenne says:

Julie: Arnie is to blame 100%!!!
    =====================================

Not unless he raped the woman by force.

Maria Shriver has hired a high-power Hollywood divorce attorney. I hope she takes his ass to the cleaners. It’s an open-and-shut case.

  90. Cheyenne says:

@the original bellaluna: In New York, if a wife has a child by another man, her husband is presumed to be the legal father and is liable for child support. It sucks, but that’s the law. He can take her to court and divorce her for adultery (the child being the proof) and not have to pay her a cent in alimony, but he would still be held liable for child support. It’s all “in the best interests of the child”.

  91. CooCooCatchoo says:

@MorticiansDoIt Better: you are a very smart, intuitive person 🙂 Don’t encourage any interaction with that woman in your neighborhood. Think of that baby gift as a Trojan horse – if your intuition tells you that there’s an ulterior motive behind it, you’re right. Trust your instincts :). Good girl, proud of you!

  92. rebellious soul says:

She has a lot of options here; she should consider all of her options before filling for a divorce. Yes, it’s embarrassing and hurtful, but, the Kennedy’ Women have always been embarrassed by their men; which goes to show you that people are human being, and that, they’re going to make mistakes.

She should listen to her heart, and not other people because most women go through this everyday.

I think they may even be in the Driver Seat, and that, Miss. Mildred will keep quiet if they threaten to take the Kid away from her; who known they may even be considering this; I know that the Courts would rule in their favor.

Unfortunately, the People that we trust the most are often the One’s that will hurt us the Most; sadly, but, true.

Since Maria have history with this family, and known what they’re all about; would it really be so bad for her to embrace this Child and help raise him? Just think of all the People out there that would look up to her for being the kind of Woman that she is (strong, and for facing these Challenges head-on. I know, by doing the Right thing, their popularity could exceed that of any Kennedy member in their family; and who knows, what blessing may come out of this; a book deal; a movie, and etc..

I know by doing the Right Things they cannot go wrong; as a woman, I say keep his behind.

    Most Men cheat!!!

  93. rebellious soul says:

***Mildred, you may not get a dime if the Father decides to take his son away from you!…so, you may want to handle your business in private…I’m just saying!

  94. Meanchick says:

Why do the mistresses always look like retired biker bitches, ex-hookers or old strippers? I’m not surprised the woman wants to go public! She actually thought she’d someday be his wife I think! She’s got ‘jump-off’ syndrome. She cannot claim innocence about anything! She worked right there in the house for his family! What a skeezy old bag!

  95. Violet says:

I feel badly for the son — neither of his parents have an ounce of integrity. If someone hadn’t spilled the beans, I bet Arnold would never have bothered acknowledging his child with Mildred.

Didn’t Jane Seymour claim Arnie had even more illegitimate children? I bet she’s right.

    It’s all pretty *&^%’d up.

  96. Normally I do not learn article on blogs, but I would like to say that this write-up very forced me to check out and do it! Your writing taste has been surprised me. Thank you, very nice article.
