These are photos from last night’s Hope for Children Benefit Gala, in which several celebrities were in attendance. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were probably the biggest “gets” for the event – and to her credit, J.Lo has worked with Hope for Children for years, and she’s always been a big supporter. For this year’s event, Jennifer went with this pink-red Temperley London cocktail dress. Well… I like the color. The color pops. And the neckline would have been interesting if not for the massive ode to Carmen Mirando shoulder-detail. Wouldn’t this have been cute without the shoulder thing?
Next up: Demi Moore and her freshly tweaked face (right?) in Louis Vuitton. I don’t really hate this dress either but… I don’t know. Demi has gotten so weird. I wonder why she and Ashton weren’t clutching each other through this red carpet. They haven’t made a joint appearance together on a red carpet in a long time, I think.
And last but not least, Selita Ebanks and her new, fug-tastic hair. WHY?!!? This looks horrible. Oh, and the dress is the Carlos Miele Fall 2011 RTW Halter Neck Velvet Gown. Meh.

I like the color and the dress on JLo. Demi…hell no.
Great color on JLo’s dress – I think her styling is off though. Even the ruffle might have worked better with different hair and more modern/youthful earrings. She styled herself like a mom of the groom (if that makes sense to anybody).
Demi Moore is wearing a dress that, gasp, someone her age might actually wear. That being said, it does not fit her well, and it looks like a dress that Ramona from Housewives of NY would wear at one of those tacky parties (with a glass of Pinot Grigio in her hand).
Lopez’s dress is too tight and therefore wrinkles in the wrong places, though it is a beautiful color. Her slicked back hair is much too severe.
I actually like that last dress ALOT :L maybe because I have similar coloring as that woman (whoever she is) anyway Demi looks a tad rough but I like her hair the dress is definitely too low cut and the shoes are atrocious. Lopez should have had her hair in a different style, she comes off Maid in Manhattan here.
And how sad that celebrity status has dropped so low that Demi Moore isnt even a famous actress anymore she is just “the actress that Kyle from Beverly Hills Housewives resembles.” LOL
Without the shoulder-doodly, J-Lo’s dress would actually be pretty boring, and would make us all focus on how it’s a smidge too tight on the bottom. -So, good on her. If anyone can work a little drama in fashion, it’s her.
Demi’s dress manages to have too much AND not enough detailing, and that third one… well, it looks like somebody figured out the embroidery option on the sewing machine and went to town on the drapes.
WOW. Demi looks rough. 🙁 I wish she had just made the choice to age naturally. She used to be so beautiful. Now she looks like a caricature of her former self.
I love Jlo’s look she is covered up and looks her age not like she trying to capture some sluty youth she lost a long time ago when she was fucking puffy. as for Demi… no wonder Ashton cheats… she used to be so sexy. and the other girl… she is just that the forgetable other girl.
P.S. I thought Selita Ebanks was Tori Spelling from about 15 years ago…

Love the color of JLOs, but the shoulder thing is not my fave. Always hate when she does the super tight slicked back hair.
Demi looks…odd.
I love both the colour and the dress and they’re great on JLo; I didn’t even notice MA at first. Demi looks wan and dull-eyed again and I wonder if she’s trying too hard? I mean, how much Botox and filler can a body safely absorb, and how much liposuction, dieting and exercising can a middle-aged body take long term? I like Selita Ebanks but she never seems to hit the mark and reach her potential to look like a million bucks.
Dress is too tight for her thick figure. The color is absolutely fab.

Jennifer’s dress would have been so much better without the ugly profusion of ruffle on the shoulder. Like her make up here too but I wish she would have left her hair down.
Jlo would look great in this dress, if it was cut just a wee bit bigger on the bottom part.

Re J-Lo. I was expecting another nightmare, and even though I’m not a fan, she’s actually wearing something flattering, rather than downright lewd, and she looks age-appropriate, in a good way. No to that scraped-back Spanish Senorita hair-do though. A little looser up-do would have helped 100%. Whatever. JMO.

I know it’s been said before, but Demi trying to compete with the 20 – 30 yr old somethings just comes off as tacky and desperate. She’s got a great bod and nice face but we all know how old you are so please… and I know that shouldnt be an issue, but I wouldnt want my Mom going through my closet. I guess I should just come off my high-horse, eh?
It must kill J-LO that Mark is thinner than her, having to hit the right angles all the time to avoid looking big by default.
