Duchess Kate & the Queen view Kate’s “creepy” wedding dress exhibit

fp_7635791_barm_dutchescambridge_queenelizabeth_04_10

Waity and the Queen! ZOMG! WAITY AND THE QUEEN. I’m so excited, I can’t even make fun of this. I was going to start in about the Queen’s look of befuddlement (“Who is this tragically slender girl, and why is she speaking in my presence?”), but really, the Queen and Duchess Kate look kind of cute together. The Queen and Duchess Catherine (otherwise known as Liz n’ Waity) officially viewed Kate’s wedding dress, which went on display in Buckingham Palace today and is expected to draw tens of thousands of visitors while on its limited 10-week display.

Did you know that Kate’s Sarah Burton (for McQueen) wedding gown cost $400,000 to make? Jay-sus. The dress exhibit includes both the Queen’s Cartier “Halo” tiara (which she lent Kate for the wedding) and Kate’s wedding shoes – Waity wears a size 6 8 (?) shoe (in American sizing). Supposedly, everyone is already talking about how absolutely tiny the dress is, specifically how incredibly little Kate’s waist was on her wedding day, and continues to be now. To read more about the dress and the exhibit, go here.

My favorite part? According to sources, the Queen described the exhibit as “CREEPY”. LOL.

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II has reportedly described as “creepy” a new exhibition featuring the wedding dress worn by the former Kate Middleton when she married Prince William in April.

The Alexander McQueen dress is being exhibited on a headless mannequin in the ballroom at Buckingham Palace, with the tiara and veil that the now Duchess of Cambridge wore, suspended above it.

During a private tour with her new granddaughter-in-law before the exhibition opens to the public on Saturday, the queen was heard to say “horrible” and “horrid” as she stood in front of the dress.

“It’s made to look very creepy,” said the monarch, while Catherine responded that it had a “3D effect”, according to a reporter from Britain’s Press Association news agency who was there.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “This was part of a private conversation between the Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge and we do not comment on private conversations”.

The dress, designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, is made of ivory and white satin-gazar (stiffened organza) and will be on display as part of the summer exhibition at the palace, which runs until October 3.

Hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected to flock to see the gown following huge interest in the April 29 wedding at Westminster Abbey, which was watched by an estimated two billion people worldwide.

[From France 24]

The Queen is not amused by the general macabre spookiness of viewing a wedding dress. We (the royal “we”) think that is horrid, horrible, and absolutely tragic! I love that the Queen was pissed off by the way the dress was being displayed. You know she “had words” with somebody. OFF TO THE TOWER.

Is this the first time the Queen and Kate have ever been (relatively) alone with each other? I get the feeling that it is, and that every other time Kate has been around the Queen, William is there too.

UPDATE: Another fun bit with the Queen. She and Kate were walking through the state rooms of Buckingham Palace and the Queen was overheard saying, “You’ve seen this already, so… you don’t really want to see it again, do you?” Royal translation: “You’re boring the piss out of me, my feet hurt and I’d really rather spend time with the corgis than you.”

UPDATE: Damn, you bitches are going crazy about her shoe size. I got the “size 6” figure from this source. They might be wrong – apparently, the shoes are stamped 5 1/2 in European sizes. What is that in American sizing?

  1. gee says:

It does look a little creepy.. like ghostly in the distance. I love Waity’s dress.

  2. Christine says:

Well, I think I agree with Liz. It IS creepy. Why don’t they put a head on the mannequin at least? This is rather huge for Kate though. I don’t recall Diana ever being alone with the Queen for a public outing. Or Camilla for that matter.

  3. Sheri says:

It is kind of creepy… it reminds me of Beetlejuice!

  4. endoplasmic_ridiculum says:

    Hahahahaha.

I LOVE that she described it as “creepy”.

Can’t wait till I get older and can adopt the “don’t give a damn” attitude to verbal spewage.

  5. MB says:

    1. The exhibit does look a little creepy in that picture
    2. Kate is so so thin, Jesus Christ!
    3. I had not idea the queen had such an enormous rack – what are those puppies? Size double E???

  6. inthekitchen says:

    Creepy, indeed!

“the Queen was overheard saying, “You’ve seen this already, so… you don’t really want to see it again, do you?””
    If true, that’s really hilarious!

Kate has such a weird gait. She looks like George W Bush in the first picture, with her arms kind of held out like he used to do in his phony cowboy-wannabe stride.

    Wouldn’t it be funny if someone throws a tomato at the dress? I’m so naughty…I don’t know why I’d find that funny :}

  7. Rita says:

God, that is creepy. Whose idea was that? I wonder if they’re charging admission. Looks like a museum..bad oman. I swear, the only people who visit something like this are the same sort of people hanging out on snarky gossip sites all day….sheshh, get a life people.

  8. Obvious says:

it DOES look creepy! couldn’t they have put a wax Kate or a full mannequin out there? and that yellowish lighting? it’s like a decapitated ghost!

  9. feebee says:

Have to agree with “creepy”. Is the suspended veil over no head reminding me of all the head chopping that used to go on? I initially thought too soon for such a display but I suppose strike while the iron’s hot.

What does Kate do now (as opposed to whatever it was she didn’t do before)?

  10. Heidi H. says:

Ok, there’s no way that Kate is 5’10 & wears a size 6 shoe! I mean, I can tell that just by looking at these pictures! I also have many friends who are Kate’s height & NONE of them have tiny, Barbie-sized feet! Models are normally about her height as well, & they are known for having bigger feet, too, as it kind of goes along with being taller than average. If anyone has small feet, it would be the pocket-sized Queen!

  11. Original Tiffany says:

So, so thin. Getting really noticeable. She’s looking pretty haggard.

  12. Eleonor says:

I think Her Majesty (I ADORE Her) is right, you make an exposition like that when someone is dead!

  13. Anne de Vries says:

Haha, it totally does look creepy – headless bride!

Kaiser, if you don’t already follow, head over to QueenUK on twitter – it’s hysterical. (and probably very clever viral marketing by a gin brand, but that makes it no less funny)

  14. SonaSoni says:

LOL@ inthekitchen… too funny about the tomato. I would totally LOL if that happened! Sick minds think a like..hahah

  15. inthekitchen says:

^^^ @ Heidi H., I completely agree! It kind of pisses me off they are even trying to pretend she could have size 6 shoes…what, were her feet bound at age 10?

Plus, didn’t she wear a pair of shoes that had size 10 printed on the bottom?! (I think at the fundraising gala with that pink sequined dress.)

And, as an aside, how on earth do they preserve that wedding cake? It took 5 months to make, the wedding was 3 months ago and it still looks perfectly fresh. That creeps me out more than anything, including the dress!

  16. madpoe says:

The Queen’s dress looks like a walking bruised garden. Long gone are the days of regality. And photogs, please stop taking pix of Kate from a razor wheat thin view. I would’ve know it had it not been for her hair and head.

  17. ladybert62 says:

That picture of the dress does look creepy – looks like a display of a dead person. Very strange.

Am always surprised at how tiny and old the queen is.

I think she might be fun to talk to – especially if you got some wine or somesuch into her!

  18. Ponie says:

Kate’s not 5’10” more like 5’8 or 5’9″ evidenced by how much Micelle Obama who”s truly 5’10” towered over Kate. Also Nicole Kidman was taller than Kate and Kate was wearing 3″ heels in LA. Nicole was still taller. The Queen is NOT part of the kiss-Kate’s-azzz Press and will not proclaim everything Kate is involved with as wonderful. T he Queen will not play The Emporer’s New Clothes game the press has played with the public to try and convince us that Kate is all that, when she’s just okay and kind of average all around ! The Queen said the dress display was Horrible, Well said Queen, long live the Queen!

  19. Lisa Turtle says:

The People article says Kate wears a size 8 shoe.

  20. whatWHAT? says:

There is NO WAY she has size 6 feet at her height. Yeah sure there are some freaks of nature who have smaller feet even when tall, but looking at her in the photos and based upon the size of her hands I’d say her feet are a size 9 at the smallest.

Also the magazines that say she is 95 pounds, yeah right.

I’m saying this as a girl who is 5’10” and wears a size zero. My weight? 120. My feet? Size 12.

    yeesh.

  21. KimnotKardashian says:

I also call shenanigans on the shoe size thing. My friends and I are all over 5’8”, and none of us wear a shoe size smaller than a 9.5… A 6 is not possible! My 5’5” mom wears an 8, for crying out loud!

  22. arock says:

lol. i love the queens body language in the first pic-“right, lets get this over with, shall we? theres a carpet id rather be looking at in the library.”

  23. Jackson says:

I’m with Liz on this one. Before I saw the pic I thought ‘what could possibly make a wedding gown on display look creepy?’ But, yeah, it does look creepy.

ETA: I’m with everyone who gave the side-eye to her having size 6 feet. No way, no how.

  24. abritabroad says:

A UK size 6 shoe is a US size 8-9.

  25. Gwen says:

I love the Queen. That’s all.

  26. lucy2 says:

I saw it on the news this morning and said “OMG ghost bride!” Very creepy.

No way she’s 5’10” and wears a US size 6 shoe.

  27. Caity says:

That’s a bit of a low cut dress to be wearing around the queen?! Guess if you don’t really have any cleavage it’s ok, ha.

  28. Hmmm says:

The dress cost 400 GRAND????? Ye gods! And they keep talking about economising. Ye gods. That’s insane.

  29. Eleonor says:

    A cheeseburger for Kate!

  30. Katie says:

    http://www.people.com/people/package/article/0,,20395222_20512172,00.html

People says the shoes are size 8, with three-inch heels. That sounds more realistic to me.

  31. Kellie says:

LOVE the Queen for keeping it real. The dress display looks awful.

  32. Nan says:

I agree with most posters that Kate’s shoe size is probably larger than 6. But I do have a friend who is 6′ tall and wears size 6 US shoes! Yeah, that’s freakish. 😉

  33. zesty says:

Nah, other places are saying it’s a size 8 shoe equivalent, not a size 6.

“who is this tragically slender girl…” haha that made me laugh. I could actually picture her saying that if she said stuff is creepy and horrid.

  34. Melissa says:

I want to know what kind of hose Kate and Pippa wear, because their legs always look awesome and you can barely tell they’re wearing hose (unlike that woman behind Kate in one of the photos, and the Queen). And totally agree on the “creepy”. So funny. Whoever designed this exhibit is going to be in big trouble!

  35. Justalark says:

I agree with the comments about Kate’s shoe size–she would be hobbling along if her feet were so disproportionally small for height!

The articles I read about the wedding outfit display claimed the shoes were a size 8, not a 6.

As a shoe lover and collector, I could tell you that a size 8 from the UK is the equivalent of a 10-10.5 in the US. This size is much more reasonable with Kate’s size.

  36. Original Tiffany says:

I’m 5’9″ with an 8 US shoe. My feet are on the small size for my height. My 13 yo is 5’5″ and size 9.
I can’t imagine being this tall and size 6, that would look weird.

  37. Kimbob says:

Creepazoid, yes indeed. I also agree w/others about the fact that if Kate doesn’t eat something real soon, she’s gonna keep getting scary thinner than she already is & soon she’ll just vaporize into thin air.

  38. gabs says:

I agree with the queen on this one. It is creepy

  39. MJ says:

This reminds me of the movie Return to Oz!

  40. Minx2 says:

    great detail shown here..
bottom two layers of the cake were saved for… “the christening of the couple’s first child” !!! how is it possible?

    http://www.hellomagazine.com/royalty/201107225810/kate-wedding-dress-display/

  41. Melinda says:

It does look creepy, I wonder if Kate agrees. Also, I’m totaly grossed out that that cake still exists and isn’t molded over. I would understand if they made a replica with foam inside and non-edible frosting so people could see it for years to come. This is just icky.

@ Minx2- That’s even more disgusting! I can’t believe people keep their cake to eat on their first anniversary. That grosses me out too. People thought I was nuts for not saving mine. Instead I ordered a 6″ of our wedding cake from the same bakery. I get to eat it this Sunday! Can’t wait. 🙂 Fresh cake= good! year-2 year old cake= yuck!

  42. LadyJane says:

She is officially a lollipop head now. In that first pic, her head looks HUGE for her body, like she needs to lay down and rest her tiny tiny neck. Not actually a good look when an nearly 90 year old woman looks fresh faced in comparison to a 28 year old. Eat something Kate. For the love of your country…

  43. LadyJane says:

They save the cake because it is a fruit cake and then frozen. I would say it would save for a decade or more if stored properly…

  44. Jackson says:

Thanks for the link, Minx2! So weird about that cake!

  45. Ponie says:

The dress was creepy on the wedding day , Kate decided on a design which was a dull copy of the beautiful dress deceased Grace Kelly wore when she married! Kate has no originality, she keeps copying deceased Princesses!!!!

  46. Grace says:

It does look creepy in these pictures. Old people will always tell you the truth! Kate looks like she’s lost a bit of weight though she was just fine before.

  47. sheila says:

Man, the Queen has put on a lot of weight! As another poster indicated, she’s particularly large upfront.

  48. NoFrank says:

The dress exhibit looks like something from the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland.

And I have a good friend who is 5’9″ and wears a size 7 shoe. I’m always teasing her that she’s got no center of gravity and I don’t know why she doesn’t just tip over.

  49. H, Girlie says:

Wow…what is up with the all “no way” on the show size?!?! Seriously, is it THAT big of a deal? I don’t much care either way but geeesh, people getting all hot & bothered over it.

    For the record: I’m 5’5, 115lbs and I wear a size 6.5 in shoes.

OMG…a shoe size less than a 7? In an adult??? Is it possible? Better contact the folks at “Ripley’s Believe It or Not!”

  50. Yessiiirrreee says:

$400,000.00 For a dress to wear for ONE day??

My eldest daughter is getting married in the fall, we went to the $99.00 sale at Davids Bridal…and let me tell you HER dress is just as beautiful and more so, then Kate’s!

  51. Laughterrain says:

It does look a bit creepy, being headless. I love the dress the queen is wearing.

  52. DreamyK says:

I love how Kate wears form fitting dresses. I guess if you are going to give up eating you might as well give them a show! I totally love her and while I miss Princess Di, Kate is some kinda wonderful, too.

  53. honestiago says:

    I’m 5’5″ and I wear a size 9 – 10 shoe. Big feet :/

That display looks like a ghost. If I say ‘Waity Katy’ three times in front of a mirror, will it haunt me??

  54. photo jojo says:

There is absolutely nothing attractive about that woman’s figure. Her pelvic bones look like they could cut glass.

  55. Jaxx says:

I don’t understand all this whoopla over Kate’s weight. She is a slender girl, so is everyone in her family. She isn’t skin and bones, she has muscles and BREASTS, which proves she has some fat on her body. I’d love to have her body. Clothes look great on her and I don’t see a single bone showing.

  56. Jane says:

The display of the dress does look creepy. It looks like a ghost is ready to step right into it.

The are two other things that are creepy. The Queen’s dress and how Kate looks like she can’t hold onto a calorie to save her life.

  57. Yule says:

Kate is as thin as LeeAnn Rhymes who the press said was too thin. Kate was a girl with fleshy thighs and much bigger when she met William. She has bones sticking out of the back of that dress in her back. She looks awful in person, LA Reporters were saying o. The local radio reports that she looked like a walking zombie or emaciated corpse she was so thin. The press may tell the truth about how truly skinny she looks when she passes out one day on a Royal outing. None of her dresses of late are form fitting, they still hang off of her bones no matter how much they get taken in. She”s got some issues ,IMO. That is NOT a healthy looking woman, she looks skeletal!!!

  58. Dany says:

That’s enough!! KATE, EAT SOMETHING, dammit! Seeing you from behind makes my bum ache!

She is starting to look anorexic and that makes her pretty face haggard and her head lollipopish. You can even see her elbows and hip bones sticking through the dress.

And I agree – creepy installation!

  59. P.J. says:

It’s fun to see original dresses on exhibit. The Queen’s outfits are often on display at various places. The First Ladies Inaugural Ball gowns at the Smithsonian are worth a look. It really conveys a sense of what the real person looks like, how tall, how thin, etc., and the dresses are awesome.

  60. garvels says:

@jaxx-I agree. Kate has good muscle tone, so I would disagree with those who say she is anorexic thin. Long distance runners have similar physiques. Katie is just a lean mean waity machine:)

  61. Lucky Charm says:

It is entirely possible to be tall and have small feet! I’m almost 5’11” and wear a size 8 shoe. And that’s only because one foot is slightly larger so I have to go up, the smaller one is a 7-1/2. Although my daughter tells me that my feet are too small for my height and that’s why I’m always so clumsy, lol. I really hate walking down stairs in heels, I’m so afraid that I’ll just take a tumble.

  62. Yule says:

That’s the last vestige of meat and vein trying to cling to her bones. You know somethings wrong when the knee is the biggest thing on your body and back bones look like they could cut glass and she looks like a flat ironing board from the back, she looks terrible,IMO and I was never a fan of her face, always reminded me of that Underdog cartoon, no definitely not a fan. The press hype goes right past me, I don’t see what the big deal is. I always got the vibe that the Queen was not especially impressed w Kate.

  63. Sisi says:

jeebus, I thought the dress had cost 60k…

  64. serena says:

My grandma isn’t a queen and dresses way better than that.

  65. Boo says:

The Queen didn’t put much thought into those shoes with that dress, did she? I’m sure she doesn’t give a royal rat’s ass about fashion, but c’mon. I’m sure she has that same ugly, sensible shoe lying around the castle in 30 colors–couldn’t her Ladies in Waiting have gone for something a little lighter?

  66. anons says:

i’m 5’7″ and my shoe size is a 6. albeit not common–but possible.

  67. Firecracker says:

I’m 5’1″ and I wear 5-1/2 or 6 us. 5-1/2 are hard to find so I normally wear 6. Kate’s feet look like at least a 10, they look huge! I figured she’d gain some weight after the wedding but she looks even thinner.

  68. Melancholy says:

    I love creepy.
    It’s coming right for us!!

  69. buckley says:

Awww, somebody is setting up Chris Brown to look like a reckless 22yr old…boohoo.

  70. shay kay says:

@Jaxx post#57 Ditto.I’d love to look like her too!She may be a little too thin but if that were my body I’d dress it up nice and add 5-10 pounds in no time anyway!
    Me:Look how thin I am!I can wear anything I want to…..and eat anything I want to….guilt free!!!!!!

  71. Andie B says:

I think Kate is lovely, but she is getting lollipop head now. The Queen is an elderly lady now, and is getting quite stooped. This, and gravity are causing her boobs to head way south, and because she is a smallish lady, this is probably making them look bigger. As for her shoes – She would have chosen them. She doesn’t give a crap about fashion, and I doubt some Lady in Waiting tells the Queen what to wear in the morning.

  72. phaksi says:

@ponie, I agree with you about the dress. I was underwhelmed by it on the wedding day, but I think it looks better on the mannequin then on Waity

  73. Mia says:

Definitely creepy. Whoever designed this one must have done Diana’s too because her wedding dress was also placed on a headless mannequin. It wasn’t creepy like Kate’s though. Maybe because of the background.

Kate needs to eat and the Queen rules.

  74. Chicken'sMom says:

The Queen wears a “R” cup…for Royal. She needs a better fitting bra.

  75. trixi says:

Kate’s body really does need some more weight. Not only does she look like a bobble-head, her face is becoming even more unattractive than it was, and older looking too. Not a pretty girl. I hope she has more in the personality department. The wedding dress does look better albeit creepy on display because it is not hanging straight down like it did on the bride.

  76. REALIST says:

So the plan must have been to time the exhibit during the height of the summer tourist season and into the pleasant fall season-clever-the rich getting richer (of course they will charge a fee!).
If the queen didn’t initiate the “creepy” exhibit, who did? Maybe it’s just dementia and she forgot what she originally asked for.
Kate is doing her job, being the good sport. Get used to it, D of Cambridge.
OMG, Q-Tip looks like a midget next to Kate! And, she has eschewed her smart little suits with matching hats for some strange grandma’s dress. Is it casual wear?

  77. Lee says:

It’s double creepy when you think that Kate got her dead mother-in-law’s engagement ring to be her own ring. Twilight Zone music please

  78. Ally says:

Well, when you’ve had an ancestor beheaded (Charles I), I guess you’re a tad sensitive about headless mannequins.

The lighting is quite sinister for a recent wedding, too. More suitable lighting for Anne Boleyn’s wedding dress, perhaps.

    UK shoe sizes are 2 less than American, so a UK 4 = US 6, etc. So Kate’s UK 5.5 / 6 would be a US 7.5 / 8.

  79. Jojo says:

    sending kate a second cheesburger.

btw: the queen looks majorly annoyed, and kate seems unresponsively happy. These two seem completely out of synch. I’d feel sorry for both of them if they weren’t sucking the lifeblood out of the hard working taxpayers.

  80. Stephie says:

I guess I’m the only one who thinks Kate’s ass looks really strange in the last photo. (like a tiny inverted couch cushion, or an upside down “u”)

Funny as hell that the Queen herself declared that display as creepy. I thought so too. Doesn’t she have a say as to what’s displayed in her home? (or one of her homes, doesn’t she live there?)

They should have put a head on that body. The real cake is scary too. Why does it have to be real? Maybe they lacquered it.

  81. skeptical says:

headless dress makes me think of Sleepy Hollow.. and looks like Kate’s aiming to be as skinny as a ghost.

And Queen Elizabeth can do no wrong!

  82. Hellen says:

Her Maj looks like a furious cupcake.

  83. dovesgate says:

Queen Elizabeth is 85. She’s old enough to wear whatever shoes (and bras) she pleases.

I’m sure the cake is a replica made of plastic or something so it won’t rot.

And the Queen is utterly correct when she said the dress display is creepy. Kate isn’t dead! That type of display would look more appropriate for, say, Diana’s dress. Ha – talk about *real* Sleepy Hollow territory.

P.S. Of course Kate looks happy – she’s viewing items from her wedding, the day she was “Waity” no more.

  84. Tara says:

lol at the queen using the word ‘creepy’, which the exhibit is really. It reminds me of Miss Havisham from Great Expectations. I love Kate but omg does she ever look thin! The excuse before was that she was nervous about wedding preparations. Now what’s the excuse. She’s going to age herself prematurely if she keeps up this dieting.

If it weren’t for the mascara she wouldn’t weigh anything at all.

  85. Westcoaster says:

I’ll bet that the Queen is becoming like her late mother. The Queen Mother was known to enjoy her gin and tonic and to speak her mind.

  86. BRE says:

who cares about shoe size, I wanna know what size her waist is in that dress, I’m guessing 22 inches. The problem with her losing so much weight just for the wedding is that eventually she will have to gain and then all the gossip mags will talk about how fat she has gotten when really she will just look normal.

  87. Caz says:

I’m 181cms (5’11”) and I wear a size 5.5-6.5 shoe depending on fit so it’s definitely possible the girl has little feet! She looks like she’s have very slender small feet. All these people saying they wear a 10 or 12, I’m envious – you must have glorious balance, but don’t play it like every tall girl has boats please!!

  88. crazydaisy says:

    OOOO-WEEEEE-YOUUU….(creepy music)….

If Catherine (yes, I’m calling her Catherine) wants to produce an heir, she’d better start eating! As a nutritionist, I recommend salmon and spinach and walnuts for starters. She needs healthy fats and DHA or the baby will be defective. If it even gets conceived.

  89. Boo says:

I agree BRE–it was a rare miscalculation on Kate’s part to get SO THIN for the biggest, most photographed day of her life, as now she will forever be compared to herself on *that* day. It must be mortifying to have to try to be everyone’s definition of perfect all the time for the rest of your life. I guess she knew what she was Waitying for, but still, it must be extraordinarily difficult nonetheless.

  90. Truthful says:

why is everyone going crazy over Kate’s shoe size–LOL

no comment on the queen none at all, smdh.

  91. LondonGoss says:

Please stop stressing about Kate’s small feet!! She’s a European size 38.5 (the size printed on the bottom of the shoes, I saw the photo). That’s a UK size 6, think about 8 in the USA…why would she have American shoe size on the bottom of her shoes when she’s the future Queen of England?!
I live in london & just booked to see the dress with my mum. It may seem a bit sad but bit just feels like a piece of history.

  92. Pyewacket says:

    I’m 4ft 3 with a 9.5 shoes size.

  93. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

Yes Kaiser, don’t you understand how thin and elegant and professionally beautiful shoe sizes are? Do you know what kind of sacrifice and discipline it takes a acheive a certain shoe size? Do you know what it is to have a shoe size that’s taller, slimmer, has better bone structure, is more catwalk-y and weighs less the the other shoe sizes? Clearly not, or you wouldn’t be so insensitive to the glowing glory of shoe size.

    Nuts about Amy Winehouse, huh?

  94. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

Oh, though I don’t think highly of this exhibit, Queenie has a history of disconnecting or being full-stop rude to personal museum guides who have the gall to talk about pieces that aren’t explicitly her. She can be roused a bit if she finds out that owns a piece, but beyond that, if her brandy is a minute late, it’s sulk and walk away city. Were this a one-time thing, I might chuckle, but can you imagine being stuck trying make good company with some ill-mannered horse who married her cousin who refuses to act civilly because ‘that’ll teach you something’? And what’s that? Where’s the wisdom? 10 years of hollow protocol and training to spend a strained afternoon together. That’s ridiculous, I don’t care who people keep telling you you are. What else has she been doing?

    Kate looks sick.

  95. Jaxx says:

@garvels and shay kay–Thanks! At least there are a few of us who approve of Kate’s lovely slender shape. We should start a club!!

  96. Nymeria says:

@ Jaxx – ‘Kate’s lovely slender shape’? Meaning ‘Kate’s emaciated form that displays a waist which appears to be smaller than the width of her head’?

Dude, we all realise she’s small-boned, so she’s never going to be terribly big unless she gains a significant amount of weight. However, there is a line between “slender” and “emaciated.” Kate has long since crossed that line. I’d bet good money she’s too thin for that wedding dress at this point. Trust me, if someone took photos of her in a bikini right now, we’d be able to count every single one of her ribs and we’d have to dodge back from the computer screen so as not to be impaled by her hip bones.

I beseech you, find some photos of her from even two years ago. She’s slim but looks un-emaciated. FFS, what other proof do you need that she’s lost way too much weight? Seriously, are you “pro-ana” or something?

  97. Scout says:

Seriously?? A “shrine” for a friggin’ dress!!!??? I like them and all, but they really need to not take EVERYTHING about themselves so damn serious! Besides being creepy, which it is, it is over the top self worship!

  98. Charlotte says:

@londongoss – so jealous! I would completely get tickets and go as well if I were in London. I am an unapologetic fan of the Duchess! She looks great. My best friend is about as think as Kate is, she eats like a horse and exercises. She’s just thin. That’s it. Not anorexic, just thin!

  99. Nymeria says:

@ Charlotte – That’s kind of the whole point. You know that your friend eats like a horse & exercises. We have no idea what / how much Kate is eating, or how much / if she is exercising. (The muscles in her calves could be residual from a few months ago.) The only thing we have to go on is (are?) before & after photos, and the only logical conclusion (until further evidence presents itself) is that this is a woman who has gone from athletic and healthy-looking to alarmingly bone-thin.

  100. KOOL GUY says:

    extreeemlyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

  101. KOOL GUY says:

THE ROYALSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS,YA GAT TA LOVE DEMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  102. lori says:

She will never be elegant no matter how think she tries to get. She’s starting to look grotesque.

  103. Anonymous says:

not even going to comment on her overall skinnyness or the strange bobblehead look, but in that last picture… her behind look really ..um… droopy, squished… and maybe a tad boney

  104. The Original Ashley says:

@ Nymeria finally someone said it. I’m guessing these people that think she looks “wonderful” and lovely have some body dismorphia issues. There’s nothing beautiful about jutting bones and stretched skin over your breast bone. As for fat on her body, it looks like she lost two sizes in her breasts. That’s obviously issues with having no an ounce of fat on her body. Even her no ass looks like the bones are jutting through it. She NEVER looked this bad before. She was a perfect size 10 (US 6) those 9 years she dated William and now she’s got to be a UK4 (US 0).

As for the Queen looking pissy around her, not surprising. I never got the impression she was impressed with Waity. And she was rumored to dislike Pimp Momma Middleton (for being crass?). I doubt after 9 years she’d start faking nice now.

  105. BeckyR says:

The dress/shoes/veil/tiara are dsplayed to maximize the visual and enhance the visit for paying customers. PAYING CUSTOMERS. There will be a ton of money made from those willing to purchase tickets to see it. Wish I could! I find all the speculation about the new Dutchess and her weight quite amusing. Some of the visitors to Celebitchy write like they actually know her and know her eating/exercise habits. How ridiculous.

  106. garvels says:

@original Ashley-I respectfully disagree with your conclusion that everyone who thinks the Duchess is lovely has body dismorphia issues. I just hang out with some triathletes and marathon runners who have similar builds as the Duchess, who are extremely healthy and happy who have had no problems getting pregnant.

  107. eternalcanadian says:

First of all there is no freaking way Catherine is a mere size 6 American/Canadian women’s shoe size. I’m a size 7 and my feet are way smaller than Catherine’s!

How is it Queen Elizabeth, at age 85 and with saggy gramma baps, looks better than someone almost 60 years younger than her? Catherine looks so washed out and way older than 29 in that boring beige dress next to the Queen who is wearing that bright silky dress.

And could Catherine be any more skinny than she was in Canada? Her arse in that last picture is so flat and you can see her shoulder/back bones. Her yummy arse from 4 years ago is completely gone as are her baps.

Does William seriously find that kind of body sexy? He has nothing but bones to grab on. 😮

I also noticed Catherine’s hair is thinning out. Look at how little hair is there in the back (last two pictures). If her hair was thick she’d have lots in the back after pulling those two parts to the sides.

And yes, the dress display is CREEEEEPPPYY! It’s the headless thing. Having the tiara and veil in the air like that above the dress is just creepy! 😮 Would have been much better to have even a faceless mannequin to at least have something between the dress and the veil.

@Lee: Not just the dead mother-in-law ring but the matching earrings and living in the same building as she did (and having to see the annual Diana memorial)! 😮

And one last thing. How can that dress cost $400,000? William and Catherine sure lied about trying to be economical when Britian is having financial problems, not to mention living “normally” like any military family, but that’s a slap in the face of British society when her dress alone was almost half a million dollars! Not even Ivanka Trump spent that much on her wedding dress.

  108. JulieM says:

The expression on the Queen’s face in that first photo says it all. Who is this non entity stick person next to me. Hard to fool a woman who’s been alive 85 years. Creepy; Her Majesty nailed it.

I don’t think the the dress cost $400K. I seem to recall that number being floated concerning the Middleton family contribution to the wedding day in total. If that dress (beautiful quality if boring) cost $400K; some one got ripped off.

  109. Miss Shoe says:

It says her shoe size is a 5 1/2 UK SIZE people, this is not the same as an US size. It’s an 8 US size, maybe sometimes 8 1/2. And European sizes are not the same as UK sizes either, it’s a 38 1/2 in Europe. And sorry to say, but I’m 5ft11 and wear the same size as Kate. And depending on the brand of shoe sometimes even a 7 1/2 (US). Like for ex. with bra’s; the sizing can differ, depending on the shoe/brand/whatever. I agree that a size 6 US SIZE would have been tiny for a girl of her height, but she comes close to a UK size 6. So there you go.

  110. katethegreat says:

She is 5″10, her feet are a uk 7.5, that’s 5.5 usa size, she is a uk 6-8 or usa size 2-4. 🙂

  111. Shona says:

As I have battled bulemia for many many years I can tell you without a doubt this girl has some issues going on. It may not be a disorder but it’s close. She does NOT need to lose any more weight. She is beautiful now and she was beautiful in the pics of before.

  112. bzser says:

How come the queen didn’t know the cake wasn’t eaten. If she wasn’t at the ceremony, who was it that we saw as queen on that day?

  113. video game says:

Tremendous things here. I am very happy to see your article. Thanks so much and I’m taking a look ahead to touch you. Will you please drop me a mail?
