Ryan Gosling looks crazy-hot in the amazing trailer for ‘Drive’

Oh. My. God. I cannot believe how amazing Ryan Gosling’s new film looks. Previously, I had seen some clips of Drive which came out when the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Now I think the film is going to be promoted at Comic-Con, and they’ve just released the Red Band trailer. It looks SO GOOD. Here you go:

I mean… when he pushes Carey Mulligan against the wall of the elevator and kisses her. When he’s threatening Christina Hendricks. When he’s being all badass behind the wheel. When he’s about to HAMMER a bullet into someone skull. Yes. Dear God, yes. My goodness. *fans biscuits*

You know what I really think? I think this could Ryan’s big chance to try and succeed to become the most versatile leading man of his generation. We already know he can do straight drama. We know he can do romance, we know he can do thriller. With Crazy, Stupid, Love, he’s doing romantic-comedy. And now with Drive, he’s doing action-drama. While Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal seem to be failing, career-wise, to find a fan base, the Gosdong is just quietly making some really, really great career choices.

I agree. The Gosdong’s everywhere now. Gosh,I like the mini veins underneath his eyes when he’s about the nail that guy. Yummers, boy can get it.

  2. Hollowdoll says:

I hope so cuz there are so many crap movies out there.

  3. Obvious says:

spectacular i shall be seeing this for sure! a million times over too!

  4. Rita says:

Great trailer. Hope they keep the acting and plot as the mainstay of the movie and don’t loose it to the driving scenes. BTW, that suit is cracks (not sure what that means but it’s chuckles). The Gosdong’s getting bigger…I mean his star is shining brighter.

After that write-up, I suggest a cool mint julep on the front porch as you run your pearls across your teeth in a state of fond fantasy while the vapors subside.

  5. zesty says:

I thought he was kind of blah until I saw how adorable and funny he was on Ellen and other places. I hope he’s successful–he seems like a quality guy. Lord knows Hollywood could use a few more of those.

  6. Grace says:

The Gosdong is such a great leading man. Love him!

  7. shockedandappalled says:

He is the best Hollywood film actor of his generation, and the best PR guy too. He’s great in an interview, polite & generous with fans and industry staffers. Hoping the best for him. He deserves acclaim, popularity, etc. Good guy. And imagine, on top of Crazy Stupid Love and Drive, he has the Clooney vehicle Ides of March about to Drop. Really, the guy hasn’t taken a wrong step in years.

  8. maggiegrace says:

    He’s 30, I’m 53 and I don’t see a problem with that.

  9. Denise says:

Problem is; he is hot and HE knows he’s hot. A guy is always hotter when he is oblivious to his hotness.

  10. Rita says:

When is that ever a problem? The problem comes when the numbers are reversed.

  11. Sherri says:

  12. magda says:

…and I really really love this director!

  13. kira says:

I really like him as an actor. This guy should be getting much better roles than he’s been getting. Hopefully, things turn for him.

  14. Lois says:

I can’t wait to see Crazy Stupid Love and this looks brilliant too! Love him!

  15. Katie says:

That is really hot. Also, I love Brooks, Cranston and Pearlman. I’m officially excited for this movie.

  16. lindseythecrackthief says:

So hot and a great actor some of my faves Murder by numbers and the Notebook.

  17. Aqua says:

Ryans movie role choices and his acting just keep getting better and better.I saw the movie Blue Valentine a month ago and I couldn’t stop myself from crying over the ending. How he was over looked for an Oscar nod for his performance in this movie I’ll never know.Hopefully Ryan will receive an Oscar nod for either Drive or The Ides of March which are both highly anticipated films.

  18. Dani says:

Wow, that was quite a trailor. Eerie, creepy, and hot all rolled into one.
Ryan is so talented and charismatic. And Albert Brooks, haven’t seen him in anything for a long time. He kinda gave me the chills.

  19. mags says:

have you seen him in “half-nelson” he’s a phenomenal actor.
sorry i’m posting so much today. everyone in my office is at birthday party and i’m buried in boring-ness. :(

  20. Ron says:

He is a really good actor and I always appreciate that. Love his sense of style, appreicate that. He’s good looking, but I never thought he was hot. Until….I saw him on the WB backlot, oh holy hell is he hot in person. Charming, pretty, and those eyes. I really appreciate his entire body now. :-)

  21. LOVE ANGELINA says:

OMG that movie looks soo badass. Ryan is soo freaking hawt. I wanna have his babies…well I wanna practice the act that makes babies over and over with him but not actually get pregnant. There has gotta be a word for it. Gwad Ryan is soo freaking hawt.

  22. LB says:

I personally hope he never breaks out into the biggest thing ever. I don’t want to watch his movies and be hyper-aware it’s Gosling and not a character. The best part about him is how he disappears into his roles. He’s making some great choices so far and I hope he continues to do so.

  23. Aqua says:

@ mags The movie Half Nelson was on T.V. a couple of weeks ago so I decided to watch it because of all the great reviews I kept hearing about it .I must say, I was completely blow away by this movie,I couldn’t take my eyes of the screen for one minute for fear of missing something really good.It was right then and there I became a Ryan Gosling fan.

  24. seVen says:

I’d hit it till it broke off… for sure.

  25. Turtle Dove says:

Love that his career is taking off. He’s a deserving recipient too because he’s not arrogant and doesn’t bring the off set drama.

  26. carrie says:

awful suit! he needs to stop imitating Hugh Hefner

    and YES,DRIVE looks great

  27. liv says:

kaiser, did you catch ryan on jimmy fallon? he brought his dog, george, it was cute.

  28. Ruth says:

He actually has a really lazy eye doesnt he?I didnt realize it was so obvious.
meh.. good actor but his looks are nothing to me

  29. Pyewacket says:

    I loves Bryan Cranston!

  30. miss silver says:

Love him and his funny looking mutt.

  31. Erin says:

christina hendricks’s makeup is tragic in this trailer, but i’m pumped that she is moving into some film roles!

  32. fallen says:

I really love him but i don’t like the way he dresses IMO the suits are a little too tight.

  33. Lena says:

Unfortunatley he will be bald in a couple of years.

  34. lucy2 says:

He’s really made some great career decisions, and has done a fantastic job in every role I’ve ever seen him in. This one looks very good too. I hope he continues to pick interesting films, and that no one talks him into some goofy crap like Ryan Reynolds and that Green Lantern thing.

  35. ToastedSkin says:

This man…He sure knows how to pick the perfect roles.

  36. Dizzybenny says:

What is this? A new take on the Transporter franchise?
I dont buy the scruffy look.
He looks has tuff has a wet blanket.
    At least it’s not in 3D! :)

  37. Emily says:

When DOESN’T he look crazy-hot? Long live Gosdong.

  38. Chris says:

And don’t forget Gosling and Refn have another two projects in the pipeline! :)

  39. Ally says:

Looks like some nice vintage cinematography here. Reminds me a bit of those great 70s Robert Redford movies like Little Fauss and Big Halsy, The Hot Rock or Downhill Racer.

Except Redford was 10 times swoonier than Gosling (/ducks).

This looks good, but I’m to faint-hearted to watch it in the cinema. Will have to wait for DVD/on-demand.

  40. orion70 says:

I really like him but that trailer did not grab me.

  41. LIVEALOT says:

    agree @ ORION70 :(

  42. LucyOriginal says:

Ryan has been doing great movies and interesting roles over the years. I have been following it for a while. Remember when he did murder by numbers and Sandra Bullock and him were an item?

  43. Kitten says:

I’ve seriously watched this trailer 10 times now. As a raging fan of Deathproof and Bullitt, I would be beyond excited for this even if My husband, The Gos WASN’T in it. Throw Gos in and this is a wet dream for me. Sept 16th can’t come soon enough!!

  44. Lou says:

Lucy2; Actually, if I’m not mistaken, he was interviewed for Green Lantern and was not selected. Actors very often do not ‘make choices’. They only get what comes their way.

  45. Kallan says:

Wow…he looks totally yummy in the clip. Not sure about that checked suit though….

  46. Kosmos says:

While I really like Ryan, OMG, I hate this checkered suit look :-( (( I saw it in another item and felt the same way.

  47. Anna says:

@Lou I’m afraid you are mistaken.

He is such a good actor! ”Drive” looks great!
    Ryan picked the director.

  48. Shoe_Lover says:

    Ryan Gosling makes me swoon!!!

@ maggiegrace they say 30 goes into 53 more times then 53 goes into 30 if you get my dirty minded drift

  49. Eve says:

I was scrolling down the thread while hoping to find at least one comment that didn’t say he was super hot so I could agree with it. Since I couldn’t find it I guess I’ll have to be the only one here saying he’s unattractive.

Long face + underbite + eyes set too close together + “I’m so hot” attitude = ugly as f*ck.
