Miranda Kerr returns to the runway in a swimsuit 7 months after giving birth

A few days ago, Miranda Kerr wore a swimsuit on a runway for the first time since giving birth to my favorite celebrity baby of the moment, Flynn Kerr-Bloom. Flynn is seven months old, and as you can see from these photos of the David Jones show in Sydney two days ago, Miranda is still breast-feeding. I mean, that’s what it looks like to me. Her boobs didn’t look like that before. According to Us Weekly, when Miranda came onto the catwalk in this swimsuit, the audience gasped and everyone applauded her (and her boobs, and her post-pregnancy figure). People are acting like Miranda JUST snapped back recently, when really she looked runway-ready just a few months (or, minutes) after giving birth. By the way, this wasn’t Miranda’s first runway since giving birth – she did the Balenciaga show in March, but she was covered up then.

Miranda told the Sydney Herald-Sun that she was jittery before the show: “I am a little nervous about getting back on the runway after just having a baby seven months ago in a swimsuit. But you know, I have been doing my squats and I started Pilates as well as my usual yoga routine.” I’ll say.

In addition to the runway photos, we also have new photos of Miranda and Flynn! I love this kid so much. He’s so chubby and gorgeous. Miranda talked about him in the Herald-Sun interview too, saying “He is on a good routine now so we will keep it that way. He is a charmer. I am breast feeding and pumping. When I am at work I am pumping, I feel like a milk maid, but it is worth it.” She also described Flynn as “a little flirt” – which I can totally see. He looks like the happiest baby ever.

SHE IS YOUNG!!! WHO CARES!!! haha

I give Heidi Klum more applause as she is an older model still working it after 3 kids.

Miranda is fine as wine, though.

  2. Jezi says:

Lucky girl!!! She’s gorgeous and looks great. Her baby is friggin adorable.

  3. fabgrrl says:

That’s pretty cool. I’m glad she took seven months to get back in shape, instead of sticking her bikinied ass in our faces eight short weeks after giving birth, gushing, “It’s so easy to lose baby weight!”.

  4. brin says:

I can’t hate on her cause baby Kerr-Bloom is so adorable! Did you see his little T shirt with “Kerrbloom” on it like a cartoon explosion?!LOL!

  5. Cherry says:

Seriously? People APPLAUDED her boobs and post-pregnancy figure? We’re a superficial, body-obsessed bunch, aren’t we?

  6. jinni says:

I don’t get why people are amazed that models snap back so quickly after giving birth. Their bodies are their jobs so they have to make sure their main commodity is back to working condition before going back to work; it’s a part of their jobs to look good.

  7. Bubulle says:

I’m tired of this woman and her famewhoring. She keeps promoting herself by using her kid.

  8. zesty says:

These women are also incredibly tall and usually skinny to begin with. Don’t bash me if you’re above-average height and had a hard time losing pregnancy weight, but I would think in general how tall they are definitely helps.

  9. lisa says:

Did anyone see the story about Thylane Loubry Blondeau, a 10-year-old French model, is at the center of controversy after Vogue Paris published a pictorial featuring the girl in a series of provocative poses (credit gossipcop)

now that is a story to talk about.

  10. Patata says:

    @ Ari
    Heidi’s had 4 kids

  11. spinner says:

    I want that baby.

  12. Heaven bound says:

I agree with Jinni 100 % don’t understand how people get so amazed at how models/actors bounce back so quickly. They have dietitians and trainers at their disposal. What I would like to know is what secret potion these women use none of them seem to get stretch marks! I don’t have a lot, but I got a few here and there or maybe they cover them with makeup and photoshopping.

  13. Bubbling says:

She must be evil, nasty, megabitch…I got nothing else. Seriously-show me one little, tiny, tiniest part of her which isn’t picture perfect?! Her freaking pinky toe won the pinky toe pageant

  14. sharylmj says:

cutest baby EVER.. I love his round head and sweet face!! he’s so chubby!!They are doing a great job so far, at least it looks like it to me.. 🙂 love this family

  15. IAMEROK says:

Lawd!! She is just a natural aussie beauty! Some women bounce back right away, some don’t. I agree her body is her job, but she seems so happy being a mom and her baby is freaking adoreable!! I can’t hate just appreciate!

  16. snackysnaxx says:

After a 9+ pound baby? Tummy Tuck City.

  17. kibbles says:

She looks great but I don’t want to give these models too much credit while having normal mothers feel like crap. Kerr is young and looks genetically small and thin. She also has the money to live without the stress of a normal person and be able to sign up for pilates and yoga along with her other exercise classes and who knows what else like a personal trainer or custom designed meals. I am the first to admit how much it sucks to go to the gym after feeling exhausted after work. If I had millions of dollars and didn’t have a 9 to 5 job, I’m pretty sure I’d look much better as would most of the world’s population.

  18. j says:

She looks gorgeous, and that’s one delicious baby.

(And I doubt there was a tummy tuck; I had a 9+ pounder, and my abs looked great 8 months later…of course, baby #2 was another story…)

  19. Annie says:

She looks the same as before. I’m pretty sure Kerr is just naturally thin and not prone to weight gain anyway. Probably not hard for her millions of dollars or not.

  20. luls says:

Her face, GORGEOUS. Boobs, HOT. But the rest of her body is WAY too thin for my taste. In my opnion she looked better 3-4months when there was still meat on her bones. Sorry ya’ll.

Her baby though, is the CUTEST CHUBBIEST little pumpkin EVER! 🙂

  21. RHONYC says:

can’t help but smile when i see her.

Miranda is such a love. she reminds me of myself at 22, and having such a lovely bundle of joy on my hip.

when you are young, in love ‘and’ have your figure back from the breastfeeding, life ain’t nothin’ but cake! enjoy it girl. 😉

p.s. – there are 3 baby dolls i demand go into production right now:

lil’ baby Kenzo Lee (Kimora & Djimon’s baby)

lil’ baby Seraphina (Ben & Jen’s baby)

    & lil’ baby Flynn

i’d buy each & every one of ’em! super-duper adorable.

  22. TQB says:

He is a super cute kid. She looks stunning in that jackety/blazer/sweater thing, too.

I guess I’m warm on her because while yes, she’s pimping herself and her baby all over the place, she’s NOT talking about her crazy fitness routine, her diet, etc – she’s talking about keeping baby on a consistent schedule, breastfeeding, pumping. I don’t care how much money you have or how many nannies, pumping while working is hard and too few women talk about it. I love her for being the poster child for it.

  23. RHONYC says:

    @ TQB

    you’re preaching to the converted.

i’ll never forget going into my boss’ office at lunchtime, pumping the milk into Playtex nursers then carting them home in mini cooler for the next day. too funny.

i could probable juggle flamed torched better. 😆

  24. Gwen says:

    Flynn is adorable 😀

  25. Madison says:

She looks great, but it’s her job to look like that. The baby is adorable looks a lot like Orlando.

  26. garvels says:

Wow! Too cute. I just want to reach through my computer screen and pinch his cherub cheeks.Little Flynn is quite the jet setter.

  27. Cait says:

    Gimme that baby! So cute…

  28. Ruffian9 says:

Goddam, this girl is just so so pretty. I covet her colouring (her bod too, I mean, really).

And that baby – INSANELY cute

  29. Summer says:

    @Bubelle

Are you serious? How is Miranda “famewhoring” and “promoting herself by using her kid” when she is getting papped every time she steps outside carrying Flynn? She is simply going about her business ie working, looking after her baby, answering questions about him. If I had such an adorable baby, I’d be talking about him too!
Using their kids to promote themselves is the territory of Tori “let’s sell my kids birthday party pics” Spelling and Larry “can I get paid for yet another interview about Dannielynn” Birkhead.

  30. Jaxx says:

Clearly there was no tummy tuck. Her belly button is a real one and in the right place on her flat belly. I don’t know why people act like it is a miracle when a model or actress bounces back from pregnancy. If you watch your weight gain and get some exercise while pregnant your body returns to normal within a couple of months.

I exercised regularly and did 40 situps three times a week until my eighth month and my belly snapped back like a rubber band after baby came out. Even in the hospital the nurses were exclaiming how flat my stomach was right after delivery. I could have worn a bikini six weeks later with no problem. It’s not that big a deal if you’ve taken care of yourself while pregnant. When women use pregnancy as an excuse to gain 50 or 60 pounds they need not be surprised at the effort it takes to get your figure back.

  31. i.want.shoes says:

^^^ Gisele Bunchen posts here in Celebitchy?! Yes, we all know, women use pregnancy as an excuse to become garbage disposals.

  32. snackysnaxx says:

When you have a baby that big, and you start out that slender, your muscles may very well go back. But your skin just does not go back to perfectly taut and smooth.

  33. Kloops says:

What a happy chappy, I could just eat him up.

  34. Jaxx says:

@snackysnaxx–Yes, your skin may very well go back that smoothly. It depends on how young you are and how elastic your skin is, which mostly depends on the genetics you are born with. Same for stretch marks. Some women’s skin will take a lot of expansion with no marks whatsoever while others may gain as little as ten pounds at puberty and get marked all over the place. Another gift of having the right genetics.

The best insurance for a good outcome is to gain no more weight than your doctor recommends for your particular size, use a lot of lotion to keep your skin supple and hope you were lucky in the genetic lottery. But having a baby does not have to ruin your figure.

  35. snackysnaxx says:

I’m not saying it RUINS it, but come on. It NEVER goes back to Point A. I’ve had two kids over 9 pounds, didn’t gain more than the recommended amount, lost all the baby weight plus some, blah blah blah, and I’m telling you, the skin just doesn’t go back to THAT perfect. And you know what? I don’t think there’s any shame in getting a tummy tuck, especially if swimsuit modeling is your bread and butter. Fine by me. And yeah, she’s young, but I’m just not buying that a baby that big with a few situps and seven piddly months you end up looking THAT rockin’. And let’s say it is diet and exercise on her part, and not surgery, then man, I want whatever she’s taking to have the energy to have an infant AND work out at that level.

  36. Isa says:

3 weeks after I had my first baby my husband told me I didn’t even look like I’d had a baby. If only I had looked like Miranda before I got pregnant! 😀

Flynn is so cute! And he has no ankles haha.

They say the number one thing you can do to prevent stretch marks is to not gain weight too fast. Well dammit, the month I gained 8 lbs I got no stretch marks. The month I gained nothing I ended up with four. I guess I lost weight elsewhere and gained it in my belly. This is my second pregnancy and it seems like a whole nother ballgame.

  37. Jaxx says:

I don’t cast any shame on a tummy tuck either, a woman is welcome to do whatever she wants to her body to feel comfortable. I’m just saying I don’t think she had one. Her belly button looks like the original one, something surgery can’t duplicate. As for her skin being perfectly tight, if you look at the second pic there is a little fold of skin above her hand that looks a little loose.

For another thing, no woman should trust photographs to tell the true story about a woman’s figure after giving birth. No telling what kind of photoshopping may have been done to remove imperfections. To compare our bodies to pictures in magazines is just asking for insecurity as they rarely portray any degree of truth.

  38. snackysnaxx says:

Meh, I think she did, you think she didn’t, neither of us know this chick anyhow, so who cares. Let’s call the whole thing off. I’m off to mix a drink!

  39. Sara says:

awww she seems even prettier when she’s holding her baby. how old is she anyway? early 20s? mid 20s?

  40. penguin says:

Having a baby is no excuse for letting urself go. A girl I know put on 70 pounds when she was pregnant, 7 years later she still blaming it on having a baby. My sister started her pregnancy at 140 pounds had such bad morning sickness throughout her pregnancy she was 120 pounds by the time she was fully term. A week after birth she was 112 pounds been that weight ever since. If u eat for 2 you ll look like 2 people.

  41. Mimi says:

She looks so well rested and fresh.

I would love to know how she gets so much sleep and how did her help routine work.

Seriously, I would LOVE to know the details.
Like does she have 2 nannies for 2 shifts so she can work out during the day, and have also help with cleaning, and then another nanny so she can sleep?

She looks amazing. I have never seen a woman after giving birth look as if she has no baby and can sleep and rest whenever she feels like.

As for stretch marks- if you don’t gain too much weight, put on some lotions, and exercise mildly- then you have a good chance of avoiding them.
You need to be in good shape to begin with.

  42. daisydoodle says:

I don’t think as a rule you would get a tummy tuck after you give birth. First of all it takes approximately 6-12 weeks for your uterus to return to it’s pre-pregnancy state, so cutting into the abdominal wall would be tricky. Also, if she wanted to have more children, I think it would not be recommended until all baby making would be finished. I work in a operating room, however, not in Hollywood, so it’s possible that the same rules do not apply. By the way, very, very adorable baby.

  43. Me says:

There is no reason why a woman cant look amazing after having a baby, let alone 7 months after. I was thinner 6 months post baby than I was pre baby.

Nothing magical happens when you have a baby. If you were in good shape and fit before the baby, ate properly and exercised during pregnancy… there’s no reason why you cant be right back to where you were in as little as 3 months post baby.

All this nonsense of tummy tucks and plastic surgery and blah blah blah is junk. Hollywood looks like that after giving birth because they looked like that before getting pregnant.

  44. Jaxx says:

Here, here #43 I agree completely. I, too, was thinner at six months after birth, but I give nursing the credit for that. Making milk eats up a lot of calories.

Lots of women use childbirth as an excuse for losing their figure but it’s not true, or certainly doesn’t have to be. Overeating is the reason for losing your figure. I remember one woman lamenting to me of the pounds she could never loose after her baby. I asked how old the baby was. The ‘baby’ was 17. Ahem, lady, that ain’t the baby’s fault. That’s you refusing to push away from the table! Truth is true rather it hurts or not.

  45. Denver Danni says:

Lol – ain’t got nothin’ but jealousy. How amazing does she look? Good lord!

  46. Venefica Delirium says:

Don’t really get the love for this chick. To be fair, I don’t get the love for a majority of current Victoria’s Secret models. Alessandra Ambrosio, Adrianna Lima, Candace Swimmingpool, Transformers Lady, and this girl are all kind of overrated.

Her body is decent, but her face is just silly. Dimples are cute, but when you have them in your chin, your cheeks, and your nose it looks cartoonish.

  47. Lucy says:

I hate when these models and actresses get kudos for looking great so soon after having babies…If I didn’t work over 40 hours a week, and if I had maids, chefs, assistants to do my errands, personal trainers, and Orlando Bloom to have sex with, then I think I could manage to look pretty damn good, pretty quickly too! However, now I come home from work, start supper, throw in some laundry, vacuum, play with the kids, play with the dogs, wave at my husband, give the kids baths, read them a story, put them to bed, get lunches ready for the next day, and by midnight, I flop into bed, next to my eliptical machine that is covered in dust and think, I’m getting on that thing tomorrow, and then tomorrow starts all over again….

  48. tracking says:

Didn’t she do a bikini shoot ca. 2 months after giving birth? She never made that much of an impression on me before, but she really is stunning. Motherhood obviously suits her on all levels!

  49. John Wayne Lives says:

She is such a Darling! And her baby is the cutest 🙂 Good for her 🙂

  50. Shoe_Lover says:

I have fallen pretty hard for Miranda after she did an interview with one of the curent affairs programs here in OZ and i wish i could be BFF’s with her!

  51. Zeromia says:

In the last photo..I see a bit of a scar from a tummy tuck..look at her left hip..the tip of a scar. Tummy tuck scars go from hip to hip..and 7 months is the perfect amount of time to be able to calm that scar down before swim suit modeling..plus makeup of course! But, she looks lovely, her baby is adorable and healthy..

  52. wow!! says:

Totally agree with JAXX. I am a mother to a 2 year old. I worked out during my pregnancy and ate well. I gained 55 lbs before giving birth and I was back to 125 six weeks after giving birth. You don’t have to be rich or able to afford personal trainers to get your body back. I made it out with no stretch marks and no gut. Don’t hate on Mirands, give her the props she deserves. It can be done: 30-45 minutes of cardio a day, watch what you eat, and breast feed. duh

  53. fwozbo says:

Way to go Lucy!, that’s me, too except no dog and four kids. And I have a stairmaster.
