How amazing does 53-year-old Sharon Stone look?

65081pcn_stone07

I’ve often wondered if Sharon Stone has gotten some minor tweaking over the years. If she has, I can’t tell. It’s not one of those situations where I can’t put my finger on what a celebrity has gotten done, but I know for sure that they look different. Sharon always looks natural to me, in that she’s not full of fillers and Botox, and she’s never appeared to suddenly have a completely new face. She’s 53 years old, and we should all be so lucky to look this good at her age.

Of course, in these photos, Sharon is being helped by professional hair and makeup. These are from the set of Gods Behaving Badly, where Sharon is playing a goddess living in NYC. The film also stars Alicia Silverstone and Christopher Walken (he’s playing Zeus).

So is Sharon all-natural, or is her surgeon just one of the best in the business? Does she get tweaked, but keeps it as close to natural as possible, or does she simply take great care of herself and have great genes? I still don’t know. I like the mystery, though. I wish more ladies had such natural-looking faces. I feel that way when I look at Meryl Streep too – at this point, I think ladies look YOUNGER when they are un-tweaked.

I don’t really like her, but she is so stunning. You can’t deny how pretty she is for ANY age.

When you pull your hair back like that, it’s like a mini face lift. But, yeah, she looks good. Her eyes and lips look natural, and her skin is a normal color. That goes a long way towards looking younger.

I think we’ve finally moved into the area where if you get botox and lip fillers, you look older, not younger. When you finally see someone who hasn’t done all that stuff, they look refreshingling younger.

@bella:3/4 years ago, a french gossip magazine VOICI showed her to go at her plastic/dermatologist’s office in Paris just before Cannes fest and Dior was unhappy for the pix

If she’s tweaked, her people are friggin’ artists, because she looks twice as BETTER than the bobble-headed, botoxed, baked “women” that are half her age in The Biz.

I wonder how her sons are doing?

The buckled seam down the front of the gown is distracting and cheap looking. I can’t believe they didn’t do a better job with sewing the skirt.

A little bit of weight and light work.

She looks happy and beautiful at her age (53) whereas Madonna (42) and Demi (48) look shallow and insecure all the time.

Who’d have thought I would say I want to be like Sharon Stone when I get older?

No secret that she has bolt-ons but I think one of the secrets is to let some age show. She really does look 53 and fabulous. Don’t like her but have to give her huge credit for not going down the Madonna freakshow route.

I’m sure she’s had a bit of work, but been sensible about it. Mostly I think it’s just great bone structure and face shape paying dividends.

Certain types of beauty don’t age, and crazy annoying diva though she is, Ms Stone is one of them.

  26. anjessa says:

I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but simply EVERYONE in the entertainment industry who is in any way dependant on looking good gets plastic surgery over a certain age- even the men. In 95% of the cases, it looks much better than before. And then there’s the 5% who get addicted to it and end up looking like totally jacked cat-faces. But that doesn’t mean because a face looks good and doesn’t scream “LOOK AT ME I’M TWEAKED” that it’s natural. That is called good plastic surgery. Or have you never wondered why the only two types of ageing in Hollywood seem to be either “tweaked beyond recognition” or “surprisingly good genes”. I’d say it is very improbable statistically that so many people with “good genes” gather in one place(being beautiful at the start of your career doesn’t say anything about how you age).
So I’d say Sharon had quite a few things done, but she hasn’t OVERdone it and definitely looks fabulous.

  27. KLO says:

I remember about 5 years ago when she suddenly started looking 10 years younger. She had been getting a bit chubby and a bit jowly before that. She definitely had work done, but it was good work.
Also, she’s not skin and bones, which is always a good look for a woman in her fifties. I guess SS will take the route of Catherine Deneuve when it comes to aging. A little plumper at older age, but still gorgeous as ever.

  29. N.D. says:

@anjessa I’m not going to say that there are lots of people who are natural in HW but you logic still is somewhat faulty. Those who age badly just drop off the radar earlier. There are many starlettes but only a few older stars that still retain their status and are noticable. More so in recent years due to progress in cosmetic surgery (and maybe this obsession with healthy lifestyle – they all workout and watch what they’re eating nowadays )

  33. KsGirl says:

Cosign everything that Anjessa said. In a way there are a lot of Hollywood types who should be thankful for all the terrible plastic surgery that other Hollywood types have. So many people now think that the only way you can tell if someone has had work done is if it’s fairly obvious. Wrong. The *point* of (good) work is the “wow, she looks fab and natural, she must have great genes” reaction. SS has definitely hd work done and I can’t think of anyone else with better. Maybe Julianne Moore who is another one everyone says is just aging naturally and beautifully. Nope. very good, subtle, properly done work.

I also agree with Anjessa’s statistical comment. Either Hollywood has a crazy coincidental confluence of people who appear to possess extremely rare non-aging genes OR Hollywood has people who have access to, and can afford, the best doctors available.

I would really appreciate someone outing the name os SS’s surgeon/derm cuz that is a name I want to file away!

I’m with velourazure; she’s got great bone structure, and her looks did not peak early. I’m lucky to have great cheekbones, and while I don’t look that great, it goes a long way to helping your look. Plus, like everyone else says, she’s got a little bit done at a time and doesn’t overdo it. She’s chosen the “look better” rather than “look younger” mantra. Jaclyn Smith is another one who looks great, and she’s over 60 I think.

Love her, she looks amazing! Too bad youth-obsessed Hollyweird likes to turn it’s back on actresses when they reach a certain age, I’d rather see Sharon Stone, Michelle Pfeiffer and other talented actresses over 40 headlining a movie any day over some generic, anorexic, coke-snorting, swimsuit model being paraded around on screen as a leading lady.

I don’t like the top half of the dress. Those two chest pieces are too wide and fluttery at the sides – they ruin her silhouette.

ummm her eyes do look a little more natural than most Hollywood types–there are a few lines–and MAYBE she hasn’t had a full facelift . . . .HOWEVER no 53 year-old woman has a forehead THAT smooth. She definitely has botox and/or fillers in her forehead. at the very least

She looks great! Yes, she has access to the best Doctors, Beauticians, Stylists etc in the business, but looks to have only had minor things done. If I have money when I’m in my 50s I will probably do the same.

    She’s gorgeous.
I saw her the other day in Police Academy 4! I’ll bet she’s hoping no one actually remembers that! heheh She was particularly awful, and that’s still taking into account how awful the movie is and everyone else in it!

  48. Suzie says:

She looks happy and relaxed and at home in her own skin. She’s probably not trying to look something else. Too many celebs keep trying to “re-invent” themselves, with or without the help of cosmetic surgery. Clearly Sharon isn’t bothered with pursuing that course. She actually looks rather Grace Kelly-esque at the same age!

my mother is a year older than she is and looks as equally youthful. my mother hasn’t had any plastic surgery or botox either. it’s very possible she looks this good bc she takes care of herself and has good genes. i just hope i look this good when i’m in my early 50s!

  50. dahlia1947 says:

Wow she looks good! Not bad! If she’s had work done then her surgeon has done an excellent job!

One thing about her is that she wasn’t getting any work done when she was younger. If she was then it was very, very subtle. Unlike Megan, and Lindsey! So I think that’s helped her in aging very, very well.

Actually, I saw her around 23rd & Lexington Ave. (Manhattan) with her son a few week ago.

No makeup. Sweaty. Her face does not look like she has had a thing done to it. It’s called “good genes” and “taking care of one’s self”.

  53. jemshoes says:

I agree, Kaiser. Older women who leave their faces alone and embrace their wrinkles and softer skin are the real gems in Hollywood – not the plastic, taut, shiny, hard faces we tend to see. And I’m also of the mind that a little extra weight as you grow older is better for your appearance, too.

Sharon looks lovely, and if she has been tweaked she’s got an amazing surgeon and/or self-control / self-restraint.

Yes, she has kept some crow’s feet for authenticity, and yes, she has great bones. However, I agree with the poster who commented on how pulling one’s hair back is a temporary mini lift– OH, SO TRUE!!( as I have experienced this nifty trick personally :-D )
And Sharon is wise to use the sunscreen she apparently does, vs. leatherette Janice, who wakes& bakes in the sun (till sunset, ick- what a neck- *shudders*).

    Sharon is quite beautiful.
