Here are the real stars of last night’s Breaking Dawn premiere, the most photographed actors on the red carpet, real-life and on-screen lovers and the objects of desire, fanaticism and loathing: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Let me start with Kristen. She wore this blue-purple-black J. Mendel that I’m not in love with. I don’t hate it, and I actually like the blue-purple color on Kristen a lot. The cut of the dress is kind of bad, and it looks rather cheap to me. I think it has something to do with the too-high slit and how hundreds of Twihards probably saw Bella’s vadge on the red carpet when she walked a certain way – what‘s with Kristen and her vadge-high slits and too-short miniskirts? Why is she determined to show us her biscuits? The slit is also bad because you can see a lot of the lining, and the material looks tacky and cheap.
Now I’ll say something nice – her makeup looks good. Her posture is improving somewhat. She’s still pretty slouchy, but she’s evolving it into a more model-pose slouch. And I love that ring she’s wearing on her left hand – it’s gorgeous.
As for Sparkles… he was slouching more than Kristen! I think because he’s so tall, and he didn’t want to tower over Kristen as they posed together on the red carpet. His suit was meh, his hair was a mess! I didn’t like her hair either – it was not a good hair night for either of them. And Sparkles really, really needs to work on not making those dumb expressions when he’s being photographed.
This was the friendliest I’ve ever seen them on a red carpet, by the way. Usually, they only pose together for a little bit and then they invite Taylor Lautner over so it’s a creepy threesome pose. Maybe it’s the time they’ve spent apart, maybe Kristen has just accepted that she has a cute British boyfriend, whatever it is, they looked more coupley than I’ve ever seen.

The color of the dress suits her pale skin. But yes, the slit is way too high. Am not liking the eye makeup- the eyeshadow goes out way too much at the outer corner and gives her a cat look.
I have never saw Kristen in a movie or anything else for that matter…. but she just seems awkward……

@Jackie I totally agree! I’ve tried to watch interviews/films with them in to see what the hype was about but they made me feel really uncomfortable with their awkwardness, especially Kristen. I just couldn’t watch out of secondhand embarassment.

That’s the beauty of looking like a model,you make a not so expensive looking dress, expensive.Like the color on her as well,she can usually get away with just about any dress she put on,and no vag shot so far,like the subtle make up as well,the hair not so much.
How can someone with an A-cup, at most, still manage to look droopy and unsupported? And the hair. Oh, the hair. It looks like a rat’s nest. RP just looks grubby. They both look constipated. Not a good red carpet showing.

Agreed, the dress would look much better with a more conservative split. The color is beautiful on her and her eye make-up is killer beautiful. Love her shoes – I think they help with her posture, hard to slouch over much when you are wearing such high heels. Dead-on about the cheap lining of the dress, ugh, i hate it when i buy a really nice dress and the lining is super tacky!!

I like the colors on her and her makeup was great (especially on video) The dress also looks better on video, it doesnt seem to photograph well. For the record, I’ve noticed that in all the minis and slit dresses, Stewart wears spanx-like mini shorts (usually black), so no real biscuit flashing occurs.
I saw a lot of great pictures of the two of them, but I guess picking the awkward ones makes its point that in between the few good shots, there are plenty of weird facial expressions and awkward posing. I still love Pattinson though, funny faces and all.
I absolutely love her make up and her hair and i think she looks positively gorgeous here. The best i’ve seen her – from the neck up, that is. People should totally stop telling her that she’s got great legs, i think that’s pretty much why she persists on ‘flaunting’ them on every chance she’s got. They are of course not bad per se, but not excellent either. Long, but not toned.

El Kiddo: you are right.The slit may be high but it wouldn’t be so bad IF her legs had shape. They are thin and pale and…that’s it.
The colors are lovely but the design is off, especially the slit that shows off so much of KStews pale legs…. at least she is trying and not biting lips, rolling eyes and pulling at her hair.
Kinda off topic but I saw Pattinson in “harry potter and the…” whatever one he played in. I liked him. I was surprised. Maybe, Kstew will be more likeable after she ditches the whiny “bella” character. I hope so!
K needs to not bust out her chin! I’ve got a “strong jaw” (read: big chin) too, and it def makes her look defensive. Which, frankly, I’d be too if I were, what, 20?
She has the strangest shaped legs and the slit just shows it. I don’t see loved up, I see awkward. Since they have apparently been given permission to show affection, they could have looked a little happier about it. Still don’t get why everyone things he is so much. Don’t see it at all.
I like the color of her dress. But I do think the slit is too high and her girls look unsupported.
You know I general like her dresses but this is a big miss. The color is great but the sparkly design looks very, very cheap and the slit is vegas showgirl too high. Very Walmart cheap. It just makes it seem like she wants to share too much of her female parts with us. But loving the makeup and dark hair. Why didn’t Robert or the stylist tell her that the dress looks inappropriate in front of her 13 year old fans?
The dress is wearing her. The colors are nice, but the design of the dress is too boxy/asymmetrical for me. That slit is too long.
P.S. Kaiser, the reason why sparkles and Kstew posed together by themselves without Taylor Lautner is to represent the Breaking Dawn posters and theme. It’s Bells and Edward’s ‘togetherness’ movie where they get married. So the fans want a lot of Ed and Bells time sans Jacob. Look at the breaking Dawn poster, it keeps the couple separate from Jacob. So sparkles and Kstew decided to play couple for the fans. I admire them for being so nice to their fans (yeah I know they are a real couple but they don’t like playing couple for the fans usually). O.K. I know way too much about this dumb series. *hides face in shame*

That dress. Ugh. Mardi Gras isn’t until February, Kristen. Save it for Bourbon Street. It’s much more appropriate there.

I thought they looked gorgeous and it was really sweet to see them posing together without third wheel Taylor in every shot. Taylor looked dapper as well but this is Edward and Bella’s story and we want those stars together in pictures. As for the pictures themselves, Rob’s face looks better than Kristen’s in most of the pictures and I found it distracting. I think photos of couples work better when the girl’s face is more beautiful than the guy’s. Kristen has been looking gorgeous on this promo tour (so beautiful) and for the first time sometimes she has been looking better than Rob but it wasn’t working for me last night. I think her eye make up overpowered the rest of her face too much.

I must be blind because it looks like any co-stars posing, actually Sparkles barely looks at her and she’s clinging onto him. Photos deceive.
I think she looks pretty–I like the hair and makeup, and I think the dress is nice although I agree that the slit is a bit too high. I actually quite like Kristen Stewart in general (even though I’m not a Twilight fan); she seems very real and down-to-earth. She’s just uncomfortable with being in the spotlight, and I don’t think she should be penalized for being a naturally shy, private person. She set out to be an actor, not a celebrity, and aside from Twilight she really is quite a decent actress (like in the movie where she played Joan Jett).
I like the dress and the slit.. but she is so pail it is making me cold just looking at it! In the 3rd pick it looks like she tried to rip it to come up a little. Or accident?
Unfortunately, I don’t feel able to judge fashion appropriatly.
My vote would be – meh, but to my surprise the ladys from gofugyourself liked it.
I like the dress and thinks she looks pretty in it, although she just doesn’t have enough boobs to fill the top. She could have worn a push up bra to give her a more feminine shape. She does seem to gravitate toward too short dresses. I get that she wants to show off the fact that she is thin, but if she bent over in one of those dresses, her biscuits would be on display for everyone. I hate when she wears the Converse, it just cheapens the whole look.
I do love the dress (esp the colors), but it’s just too matronly for someone her age. I do like the high slit, but the visible beige lining is awful — should have been darker although that would obviously darken the contrasting sheerness of the front.
Not a twihard, so my unbiased opinion is that they are a terribly mismatched couple.
They’re allegedly ACTORS and still they can’t ACT the part of “in love” or “happy to be at the premiere” for the sake of a movie they’ve been paid millions to appear in and promote? It doesn’t matter if she’s a naturally shy person – it’s her JOB to pretend she’s something she’s not.

I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but Sparkles looked worse and posed worse than KStew last night. Dude looked all pale and sweaty, like he was on something. Probably was to deal with all the twi-hards. At least KStew was smiling at that audience “gasp” and looked semi-alert. There are a few pics of him looking down at her but other than that he just looks so awkward…Like his eyes are never straight at the cameras, he’s looking off to one side or the other.

I think KStew looks beautiful. Love the high thigh split, she has the long legs to pull this look off. Plus she is young so she can get away with the high splits and the short skirts. Love the makeup too. Gorgeous girl.
Oh and I’m NOT a ‘twihard’ FYI. Have only seen the first movie and it was god awful! Never read any of the books either, they sound rubbish. So I couldn’t care less for all of the twilight crap.

You should see the video of this premiere? They weren’t friendly more the contrary. They barely acknoledge each other and Sparkles didn’t really to pose with her. They barely stay together more like 30 s to 1 min! So don’t say they were friendly. It was ankward. So much hype for nothing.
and what’s this need to prove they like, hate eachother, and are forced to be within 10 feet of eachother? It’s always laughable to me. Maybe they are together, maybe they are not. But this perception that they do everything for “pr” is downright delusional at this point, since they hang out together off set. I have no clue what’s going on with them romantically, but at the very least they are friends that hang out.

Her legs always look terrible to me. Pale and doughy. Would it kill her to get just a tiny bit of sun on those things? If her legs were even just as dark as her arms (which, unlike her legs, have clearly seen the light of day before this event) they would look a million times more appealing.
Bleh. Neither does it for me. I do agree that the color of the dress is nice, but that’s it. The makeup is too much, the hair is bad, as is the dress itself. I don’t see any look of love, either. I seriously don’t believe these two are together. But yay, one more step towards the end!
Maaaan….to those who are saying her chest looks saggy, you are just so wrong! They are totally perky, she just doesn’t have them pushed up to make a grotesque chest-ass! Actual boobs are sloped. Teardrop shaped. No fullness on the top. Look how high they are in the fourth pic (she’s in profile)! You guys are just so used to looking at bolt ons and pushed up to within an inch of their life boobs, that you don’t even know real, cute, perky ones when you see them!

Her hair is blah and some of her make up is too severe. If this were a plain black or even navy dress with a more conservative slit I’d love it and I think she’d look and feel more comfortable in the dress.
Part of being a fashionista (which her team and HW is desperately trying to make her) is knowing what looks good on you and feeling comfortable in whatever you’re wearing. I’ve seen actresses pull off far busier outfits and messier looks than hers but look fabulous doing it because they’re comfortable and confident. She’s neither 98% of the time. If she’s not comfortable with these outfits I wish her team/stylist would stop forcing her into them.
And Rob’s suit is somehow off still. It’s tailored and pressed but still looks a little disheveled. Odd. I still can’t help but like him.
For a couple of like 2-3 years they come across as little more than friendly co-workers. Have zero chemistry and familiarity with each other when posing and just random odd moments together. She has the same level of intimacy and body language with Taylor that she does with Rob. It’s weird so I do get some of the reasoning behind the “showmance” rumors.

She is lucky she hasn’t yet been hit by the cellulite monster. She doesn’t look like a gal who works out or carefully diets so it’s probably a matter of time. Lucky genes.

A couple of early reviews are in and it’s pretty much what I thought they would be. A lot of fluff and very little substance, just like the book. I’ll wait to see this one on cable.
I don’t think you can judge their “chemistry” by red carpet moments, she looks like a deer in headlights all the time on the rc. She’s so uptight, even with her acting too.
I’ve seen them banter back and forth on an interview once though, and I saw a playful chemistry. Like she’s always challenging him and he just comes back with flippant teasing, it’s a cute dynamic, whether they are just friends or more.
The slit looks like it was accidentally ripped a few inches.

Obviously one is blue and has sparkles…but its a similar cut, length and even has the slit.
When posing the slit is nice since it isn’t an overly sexy dress and it does look nice on her. But the shot where she was walking looked so close to flashing unmentionables.
The colour looks nice, she’s actually smiling nicely (probably relieved it is ending soon…), though my only complaint and it is really just a personal pet peeve of mine is I really wish the dress had a lining that matched/wasn’t so bright. Even if it was just black inside it would be much nicer.
But overall, I like it on her and I am not a fan of her (though I have high hopes for Snow White…).
Her entire look is very 1998. It makes me cringe. Please don’t bring that back.

I think she looked lovely, Kristen wears stuff that tests the waters and her hair was gorgeous, as was her make up. I loved the slit, it was really daring but worked so well with her long pale legs.
