Us Weekly: Angelina Jolie starves herself, feels “guilty” when she eats

Angelina Week is going full-force! And now we even have some tabloid reports to go along with all of our new photos and interviews. Us Weekly has a bizarre (or on-target?) report about Angelina’s thinness, which… I’m kind of tired of people discussing Jolie’s thinness. She doesn’t really look any heavier or thinner since last year or the year before. She lost a lot of weight after her mom died, and then slowly come back to the figure she has now, which I think it probably close to her natural state. Would I love for Angelina to put on 20 pounds? Of course. I think she would look great with some additional weight on her bones. But to me, she doesn’t look scary-skinny like too many of the girls who bulimia their way to slender figures.

Unlike some of her peers, Angelina Jolie’s pin thin frame has nothing to do with vanity.

The U.N. goodwill ambassador, 36, who travels the globe meeting the poor, “puts herself on fasts to make statements for the children she visits,” a Jolie source tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on stands Friday).

“She says, ‘If they can’t eat, I can’t eat,'” the source adds. The busy mother of six “does different cleanses from around the world. It’s very dramatic, but that’s how she gets.”

If she does eat a burger and fries, says the source, “she feels guilty about it.”

The actress — currently promoting her directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey — has partner Brad Pitt, 47, worrying about her health, says a second insider.

“He’s worried about her and has made her see a zillion doctors, but they keep telling her she’s fine.”

[From Us Weekly]

Yeah, I don’t believe this. I think Jolie – or anyone who works in famine-ravaged areas of the world – has moments of guilt at being from a country of plenty, but she’s been doing UNHCR work for more than a decade. I just don’t buy that this is her thought process.

Meanwhile, Page Six had this story about Angelina this morning:

Angelina Jolie is asking politicians for their opinions on her movie, “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” set during the Bosnian war. At a Hearst Tower screening Tuesday night, director Jolie told Marie Claire editor Joanna Coles that she’s discussed the film with Bill Clinton, who “has [it], but has not watched it.”

She also said she was “nervous” for the reaction of former NATO commander Gen. Wesley Clark, a consultant on the film. Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright also has a copy. As for the current administration, Jolie said, “We’d hope to send it to anyone who is willing to sit down and watch it.”

[From Page Six]

Well, considering that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s elbow is Team Aniston, I’m guessing Angie won’t be sending it to Hills. But I’m sure Bubba enjoys Angelina, although she’s too skinny for his tastes. Maybe Robert Gates wants to see it? I’m surprised Jolie didn’t send it to Colin Powell – you know that she’s tight with him, right?

GIVE IT UP! It’s called she gets busy and forgets to eat. Does anyone notice when her schedule lightens up she puts on 15 pounds immediately. Then the tabloids are then saying she’s pregnant. It’s a full on cycle at this point.

    • M says:

15 pounds? When? Pictures please. During her pregnancies does not count. Look, I think she is beautiful, but she looks unhealthy. And I do not think it is good for young girls to in any way think she should be modeled after. No way, no how.

      • LeeLoo says:

I don’t know if she puts on 15 pounds exactly but look at some of the pictures from last year or the year before. She looked healthy even if she still looked thin, she has a small frame and she will probably always be thin. Would you rather young girls model themselves after Xtina, Lady Gaga or some other liquor/drug soaked woman portrayed in the media? At least Angie has strong values.

    • M says:

None of the above. I’m not really talking about her values either. I’m talking about what some young girls out there might see as the standard of beauty.

      • LeeLoo says:

I can still think of worse examples. Besides, part of the problem is that young girls are supposed to concentrate solely on beauty. Maybe these girls should be paying more attention to a person’s actions instead of how they look.

      • k says:

Ange seems to carry weight in her belly, not limbs. If you want a bad example for young girls, see Karlie Kloss.

    • M says:

“Maybe these girls should be paying more attention to a person’s actions instead of how they look.” In a perfect world, they would. But that is the reality of it. It’s up to the parents to teach values, but unfortunately, this thin look is shoved into young girls faces by the media and told it’s the best way to look. And it’s not. Of course there are examples of worse, but we are talking about Angelina Jolie on this thread ya?

      • LeeLoo says:

Come on, Nicole Ritchie looks way thinner than Angie does. So do Lindsay Lohan and several other celebrities. I think there are worse examples when it comes to too thin celebrities than Angelina.

    • SkyNet says:

I don’t think she looks as bad as some of the girls out there. Have you seen the cast of 90210? They all look like they would break in half if the wind blew to hard.

I do see the pattern of her being too skinny or pregnant. It’s all a joke. I think that she doesn’t take enough time to sit down and really eat. She has a super busy career, and 6 kids. A lot of women that have a busy career or a big family don’t find enough time for themselves. I can’t imagine what her schedule looks like.

    • Annie says:

On a frame like Angelina’s which tends to hide any weight and appear even thinner than it is (thin arms, legs, face, bigger torso) I can buy that she fluctuates within 15lb. I have a kind of similar build I can gain 15-20lb and basically look the same in clothes – weight just dissappears on my frame. I think I’d have to gain 50lb not to look “skinny” at all to anyone!

I still say her weight is mostly natural – perhaps sometimes she is thinner than people think look good because she is very busy and just more of an “eat to live” rather than a “live to eat” type – but basically naturally thin. And that’s ok in my book, not everyone has to be obsessed with food. If it was due to drugs or an eating disorder surely we would have seen a MUCH heavier Angelina at some point since she’s been famous since birth and we have not – in Girl Interrupted she was exactly the same size as she is now. She was a gangly teen too, even though her face was fuller (probably just how she aged). Also with an eating disorder I’d expect her weight to be dropping and dropping – Angie’s weight has fluctuated within a small amount over the years, maybe 20lb, but if you look at the overall picture her weight is more or less stable this skinnyness is nothing new.

  2. ladybert62 says:

I like that picture of Pitt’s mother – she looks lovely and I like her dress.

    • Embee says:

Agree! You can really see where Brad gets his looks!

      • ladybert62 says:

Hi embee – I agree with that – he looks exactly like his mom and shiloh looks like him!

I really like Pitts mom – she seems down to earth, sensible and caring.

      • lin234 says:

I was thinking the same thing. He got her eyes! She’s gorgeous at her age. 70? is it?

I feel like Angie dresses the way she does because she makes a conscious decision to try to not draw more attention to herself but that face of hers is just insanely beautiful. Still, it would be nice to see her change it up on the red carpet and in real life. A pair of jeans would be nice. A beautiful couture gown would be awesome to see her in for a change.

  3. whatevs says:

i believe that she might have an emotional ed but this story sounds like b.s. she isn’t gwynnie what’s that about different cleanses from all around the world. i thought she chewed on gummy bears? silly contradictory bs articles

  4. jermsmom says:

She is thin but it looks to be her body type, anyway. Not to mention that she is one of those people who has a larger head (not being sarcastic or ugly) which will often make a person appear even thinner if they are already thin.

  5. Bird says:

BS on doctors telling her she’s fine. She’s not starving herself to make some political statement- she is anorexic, a drug addict, or both.

    • lisa says:

So knowing. YET you know nothing.

    • Anonymous says:

      And you know this, how?

    • ladybert62 says:

Hi Bird – I hope you are wearing fire proof clothing today as you will probably be set afire and buried alive by some posters here! ha ha

I like it that you have posted an opposing opinion – it is good to have discourse!

    • Rena says:

@Bird, well the tabloids have a captive audience in you, you know those rags that say their readers are ignorant 6th grade education women, LOL. Angelina is no thinner than most in celeb land, she is certainly not either of the biased unfounded labels you so desperately want to throw on and at her. She completely frightens the simple minded of the world just as all strong intelligent self confident women do and have done through time.

Hey but whatever total BS floats your rat and roach infested sinking life boat. Ignorance is your chosen bliss.

      US’s circulation must be struggling….

    • WTF says:

Unless you know Angelina Jolie personally…you have no right to throw vile accusations at her. Us weekly is a tabloid…that has NO inside information on Angelina Jolie or her eating habits.

    • laylajane says:

Yep, I’m guessing drugs. I got my fire extinguisher. NOW WHAT??? lol

    • Kelly says:

Ugh – what utter and complete nonsense. If you’ve seen an anorexic person – or a drug addict, for that matter – the absurdity of your statement is apparent.

Whenever I’m stressed out, I can’t eat, and drop 10 lbs. The woman is constantly on the move and has 6 kids in addition to a busy career. These allegations irk me no end.

      • sharylmj says:

If she was a drug addict or anorexic, her hair wouldn’t look so beautiful and shiny and her skin would be all messed up. She’s always been thin and will always be thin. She probably is one of those people who are too busy to eat and even losing 5 pounds shows on her. I can’t imagine being too busy to eat!

      • jes_sayin says:

It’s called hair extensions and HGH (Human Growth Hormones). Very prevalent in Hollywood.

Not to mention it would be naive to think she’s not using *something* to keep her (admitted) drug and ED demons at bay.

PS.. i think it’s awesome that she’s directing- we need more women to do this!

  6. spinner says:

Let’s leave the politicians out of it. Clinton pulled a lot of wrong strings during that war.

  7. Bite me says:

As I fan I noticed the weight lost after she had Shiloh… She always had skinny legs and arms … But her face, and mid- region used to be fuller… I would like to see her gain around 10-15 pounds 🙂

  8. WTF says:

I call BS on this story. I happen to notice when reading the “press list” for the premiers… Us Weekly was NOT invited to anything. Us Weekly knows NOTHING about what goes on the Jolie-Pitt household. That is a fact. Remember all the lies they have posted this past year alone. Angelina and Brad getting married…nope. Brad was going off alone to film War World Z…nope. Angelina was bored in London and leaving Brad….nope. Angelina was terrified from the London riots and was taking to kids and leaving Brad…nope. And if needed I could give more examples of Us Weeklies BS stories concerning the Jolie-Pitt’s.

    • Rena says:

Thank You for facts. Keep it up. Truth is always welcome. US is nothing but regurgitated BS week after week. Like all the tabloids.

  9. Zay says:

Oh my, her boobs looks huge in that black dress…also some women starve themselves for a while to hide their pregnancies…i’ve seen it

  10. teri says:

I just seen Angelina’s magazine photos and she does not look unhealthy or thin. Her legs are gorgeous!! Too many people are barking up the wrong tree trying to make her weight an issue.

    • Tapioca says:

      Err… photoshop?

This story is BS though – a woman who has no problem spending tens of thousands of dollars on private jets, millions on multiple mansions, and has a carbon footprint the size of Texas is not going to starve herself out of empathy.

    • Moi says:

You people are delusional. She is not thin? Seriously??!!

  11. teri says:

When she becomes to frail to walk and needs assistance then you can spout your gums off. It’s always the JA fans who nitpick Angelina and her family apart.

  12. Kara Ann says:

I am not an AJ fan. I have stated before that she is almost always beautiful, face and figure, in her movies. Maybe after the stress associated with this movie writing/directing/premiering thing, she will start to gain weight. She seriously needs to. I don’t like her (although I admire her humamitarian work) but I don’t like to see anyone look ill. To me, AJ looks ill and I don’t understand why some of her fans think to say so is an attack on AJ. Further, this post reads that this is close to her “natural” state. While AJ may have always been thin, I don’t think and I hope that the gaunt state that she is in isn’t representative of her true state.

    • WTF says:

I have seen Angelina Jolie in person. Yes, she is thin and small boned. She in no way looks unhealthy. Angelina’s skin is like porcelain, seriously. I can see why Brad fell in love with her. Not only is she beautiful…but damn smart. I can’t wait until the embargo is lifted from her movie. You will be reading a lot of good things about her..trust. I want to say more, but I value my job. This is NOT a good time to be unemployed.

  13. Happy21 says:

    I think this is CRAP!

I think that Angelina is usually scary skinny but I don’t think it has anything to do with her wanting to be thin or wanting to fit an ideal. I truly think that Angelina is one of those women/mothers who are hands on with the kids and she gets busy and is like oh shit I haven’t eaten yet, better have something. Gets half way thought eating and then the kids interupt kaboshing the idea of eating. I really don’t think that Angelina is the type of woman who would starve on purpose.

  14. P.J. says:

Ange would look like she was wasting away were it not for the breast implants. So you notice that her limbs are extremely thin but she looks OK overall because of the oversize chest.

    • Moi says:

Yeah, without the boobs, she would be much scarier. They are a good distraction.

    • pwal says:

Actually, Angelina is built like her late mother – thin arms and legs; slight hips and waist; and big breasts, considering her slimness.

She may have Jon Voight’s facial features and shoulders (maybe), but a lot of Angelina’s build is Marcheline.

  15. gab says:

Sorry, OT, but doesn’t Pitt’s mother look like Jennifer Aniston? In the pic above, it is really striking to me.

OK, carry on with the too thin, not too thin debate!

  16. lucy2 says:

    Silly tabloid theory.
However, she is thinner than she used to be, when she first got really famous, plus she’s older now and I think it’s more noticeable. A little bit more weight would look good.

  17. LJ says:

enough with the pointless angelina jolie stories my god

  18. KC says:

Wow, those glasses she is wearing with the white dress make her look like a bug. She really, really, really needs a full-time stylist

  19. Dibba says:

Such a powerful woman, mover and shaker. I hope she doesn’t confuse all of this with actually having any power. Methinks all of this goes directly to her giant head.

  20. The Original Mia says:

After seeing pics of Alexa Chung & Peaches Geldof, I’m going to say Angie looks fine. 10-15 pounds wouldn’t hurt her, but she doesn’t look nearly as emaciated as they did at their lowest weights.

    • Eve says:

I agree. I think she should put on some weight — yeah, for a very shallow reason: she would even more gorgeous than she already is. But her thin frame is not that bad when you compare her to other women who I think are a way more influential to young girls than Jolie. Example given: models like Karlie Kloss (someone mentioned her above) and Sigrid Agren who — by the way — makes Kloss look “thick”. It’s disturbing because while Jolie is criticized for being too thin these women are encouraged to be and praised for being skinny:

      http://www.skinnygossip.com/leg-comparison-sigrid-agren-karlie-kloss/

(take a look at the comment by “slover” — it was a reply to the first person who commented).

      • M says:

I think they all look too thin. But again, this is an AJ thread where she is the topic of discussion. All you can do is tell your daughters that it isn’t normal to be that thin, it doesn’t look good and to not look to that standard for outward beauty. This is coming from someone who was 5’8 and 120 pounds in my 20’s. I look back now and cringe at how thin I was. It is much nicer being in the 130’s. And healthier!

      • Eve says:

I KNOW this is a Jolie thread. Everybody knows this is a Jolie thread. The comparison to other skinny women some (including myself) are making is just for putting things into perspective. Bringing other people’s names and experiences is quite common on blog threads. People don’t usually talk EXCLUSIVELY about the person featured on the posts.

And it’s not far fetched to do that (the comparison). If you claim that her weight is a negative influence to young girls, then I can claim that the fashion models have a way more influence than her — and they’re the ones actually featured in pro-anorexia and pro-bulimia blogs as standards of beauty. Not Jolie.

      • M says:

You have a right to your opinion. As do I. I think it is strange to bring other people into the mix basically saying “Well look, this person is even skinnier than Angelina Jolie, therefore it’s not so bad that she is 5’7 or 5’8 and weighs a 100-105 pounds”. And it really surprises me that Angelina Jolie is not on those blogs as a standard of beauty.

      • Eve says:

No, it’s not strange. It’s perfectly normal to compare the person featured on the post to others who share a similar body type since we’re discussing her weight and her influence on young girls who might have weight issues — which was something that you brought up first.

Funny you should say that (about people bringing other into the mix)…I didn’t do that to contradict your post (the one right at the top, replying to Leelo’s). Also, I did NOT say it was “not so bad Jolie is only 100 — 105”. YOu’re trying to twist my words because I did not say she wasn’t an influence at all. Or that looked healthy. In case you don’t want to read my original again I said she was too thin, she would look a way more gorgeous than she is now if she put on some weight (the 15 lbs Original Mia suggested). Or did I not say that?

I just do not agree with you when you say that she’s that much of an influence on young girls. I think fashion models are considerably more influential on anyone with weight issues than Jolie will ever be since it’s the fashion industry (most of the times) that dictates — or at least suggest — how people should look like and dress…not an actress who is mostly known for her humanitarian work (besides her acting), and doesn’t talk that much about her weight on interviews (like Kate Winslet and Gwyneth Paltrow do, for example).

I came down here to reply to The Original Mia, because I agreed with her. You went all the way down to post basically the same thing I had seen (your posts at the top of the thread) and decided not to answer to. You say that we both have our opinions, yet you seem to want everybody else to think you’re the right one. You seem to want to have the last word and that reeks of trolling.

      • M says:

Okay Eve, you can have the last word after this. Type out whatever you want to. The thing is, I’m not against anyone or for anyone. I am just stating my opinion. I’m sorry if that upsets you. I also replied to Veruca’s post, so what?

      • Eve says:

Okay Eve, you can have the last word after this. Type out whatever you want to.

        Oh, my…thank you.

The thing is, I’m not against anyone or for anyone. I’m sorry if that upsets you.

And where did I say you were? Or that you were completely wrong? You’re again trying to spin what I said in order to make me look oversensitive. I am not. If I’m among those who think she is too thin and would benefit of putting on some weight, I can clearly see where the criticism about her weight comes from and I accept that (partially).

I also replied to Veruca’s post, so what?

By the time I posted my (lenghty) comment I hadn’t seen your reply to Veruca. Plus, she compared Jolie to another actress, not models (like I did).

I’m sorry, M. I’m sorry I didn’t realize, upon sight, that you were trolling. My bad.

  21. Original Chloe says:

That’s some quality journalism, bravo US Weekly.
    /golf clap

  22. Brit says:

I don’t understand how tabloid stories about Angelina are ALWAYS false, but tabloid stories about Jennifer Aniston holds merit. Anyway, she is at an unhealthy weight, which anyone can see.

    • Kate says:

AGREED! She is clearly underweight, and has been for quite some time now. Too busy to eat is BS. You can’t function and be the mother you need to be without energy.

  23. Julie says:

Not too skinny….close to her natural weight, tight with Colin Powel; she’s nervous about Wesley Clark and M. Albright watching; too skinny for bubba; Anisten having connection to Hillary; this is hands down the most ridiculous article I’ve read on here and I’m a fan of the site. Maybe it’s AJ overload but this one here is just too much.

  24. Koa M. says:

Anyone who believes this PUBLIC RELATIONS BULLSH*T is an ignorant moron. This is nothing more than a public relations move to get people thinking she is some selfless humanitarian which equals — GO BUY A TICKET TO MY MOVIE. Seriously people, get a grip.

  25. EmmaStoneWannabe says:

I won’t comment on her weight, but I will say I think it is complete BS when someone claims they or another person are too busy to eat. PU-LEASE. Just stop there. Are you too busy to take a shower for 15 minutes? Too busy to use the restroom? Not eating is a conscious decision. I mean her kids eat, right? Eat when they do.

Anyway, one simply decides they will eat or not eat. People say the same crap about Kate Middleton, “Oh she’s just been so overwhelmed by her wedding and new marriage.” No, these justifications do not stand up.

  26. Mila says:

I don’t care about this tabloid crap. So am on my ignore mode. Now can anyone tell me what color is her hair in this pics? I really like it.

  27. Veruca says:

Audrey Hepburn worked with UNICEF for ages. She said that she felt guilty when she ate, because she was often in countries where people were starving. Are we going to bash her, too? If you hate AJ, fine, but regardless of your personal feelings, one can’t deny she’s using her celebrity to do something good — kinda like Marky Mark in Clueless.

And to the haters — how much of your life have you sacrificed for others?

In other words, get some hobbies that aren’t so negative — like hating Kris Jenner and her spawn from Hell.

    • Mila says:

I agree with almost everything you said. But Audrey Hepburn was ill she had colon cancer and that is the reason why she was so thin. I admire Audrey so much.

      • Veruca says:

Not arguing the cancer point, but I do recall her saying that long before she was diagnosed (yes, I am that old). It traced back to the days of the war when she was starving as a child in Europe.

The cancer came later, and obviously, didn’t help much.

      • M says:

Audrey Hepburn was also a victim of World War II and went through periods of starvation as a child. I don’t think she ever got used to eating heavily after that. She was also a dancer. Being busy is not a valid excuse for such underweight IMO.

      • Ida says:

Mila, Angelina Jolie is not sacrificing anything for others. Rest assured of that. You can appreciate her work, charity or otherwise, without fawning like a naive little girl.

  28. Jag says:

Thin is her body type, but I remember her saying that she wouldn’t let Zahara eat cookies because other kids in her original country wouldn’t be able to eat cookies. Angelina said that she felt guilty when she ate food at that time, and that she was going to impress upon Z that other children were starving. I felt back then that she was guilty-tripping her daughter and that it was wrong. So I believe this.

    • pwal says:

Actually, I think the story was that Zahara told Angelina that if she doesn’t give her a cookie, Daddy (Brad) would cry. Nipping that type of manipulation in the bud is a good thing – mind you, ‘manipulation’ is too strong of a word.

And since there have been numerous pics of the JP children eating Cheetos/chips, eating movie theater food and making runs to McDonald’s with Angelina – pics which elicited a lot of judgmental comments about how the kids shouldn’t eat junk food, saying that the kids are deprived don’t wash.

  29. DG says:

I completely agree regarding all those examples you listed. It is the most ridiculous logic and an embarrassing article.
*This is in response to Julie’s comment btw.

  30. Northern Light says:

Angie is ‘slender’? What an underestimate! Beautiful face but seriously ill (her weight). She surely don’t want her own, someday teenage daughters starve themselves like she does herself.

    • taylor says:

That’s the one thing I worry about with her weight, too. I think AJ is gorgeous, would love it if she gained 15-20 lbs., but am not worried/obsessed with whether she does or not. I AM however slightly concerned about how her girls are going to view their bodies as they get older when Mommy has always been so thin.

I think this particular story is BS (not that she probably doesn’t feel guilty occasionally, but not enough to effect her long-term eating habits), but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she’s one of those people who just forgets to eat all day until everyone sits down to dinner. I just hope her girls (and boys, too) don’t assume that Mommy’s body type is the only acceptable one. But she seems like a damn good parent, so I hope this gets addressed as they get older.

  31. Bree says:

Isn’t that a little insulting? The kids are starving to death because they have no food and she’s voluntarily starving herself because…she can? Because it somehow reflects the plight of the starving children in the world? You have millions of dollars, buy all those starving kids a sandwich and buy one for yourself while you’re at it.

  32. Sara says:

BS on this story. And even if it were true, that is still an eating disorder. People with an eating disorder come up with all kinds of reasons why they do what they do. It’s a disease. She either has an eating disorder or a serious health problem. Those of you that say she isn’t scary skinny need to check yourselves. Do you forget the camera adds ten pounds? She most likely looks even thinner in real life. Has anyone on here actually seen her in real life in the last couple years?

  33. Kim says:

If this story is true she is being a martyr AND has an eating disorder. Not a good combo.

  34. Brenda says:

She feels guilty eating but doesn’t feel guilty about her expensive clothes and handbags and the fact that she and Brad have mansions in France, Italy, California, Louisiana, New York and who knows where else? Bull.

  35. NeoCleo says:

She is too thin. Jolie is not believeable as an action star (her bread and butter) because her arms are like toothpicks. No one seeing her firing a shotgun will believe she’s firing live rounds. Fer cryin’ out loud, the damn gun weighs more than she does. Salt was just stupid.

    • NM9005 says:

Agreed. Her arms and legs are horrible. I don’t know why she gets a pass and definitely since she keeps doing action films. Obviously there’s a unhealthy relationship with food going on.

After the birth of Shiloh she emerged after one month pin thin. After the twins there were the private photos (unlawful) they took right after the birth of her twins were she looks big (normal)

      http://www.waleg.com/celebrities/archives/013323.html

and then she emerges almost three months later almost as thin as she was before. They were promoting “Changeling” then so don’t tell me she isn’t vain or she’s not thin by choice. It’s part of her image now. She worked that baby weight off just like Victoria Beckham.

They always use the death of her mother or the horrors she sees in refugee camps as the reason why she’s thin. That might be true but a great deal is vanity and control in my opinion. In general she looks happy, content, she got pregnant, she travels a lot, makes films etc…and food is the thing she forgets to do? The FUEL to keep going? Bunch of crock if you tell me. To do all these things, you need the energy so either she made herself get used to food deprivaty, Pitt likes his women thin so she’s doing it for him or she is sick (anorexia?). Her mother was sick for a long time btw, you would think that stressed her out too, knowing that she can die but she was healthy until 2006. Until a Good Shepherd, so before her mom died since the film was shot in 2005!

        Thank you.

I don’t buy it either. I forgot to eat when I was a kid not as a woman with a life/kids. I don’t have minions to watch the kids, make my meals, fold the laundry, pay the bills, walk the dog, work on homework, grocery shop, argue about clothing appearance … all after an full day of work. So if anyone was going to forget to eat – that’d be the likes of me (besides I love my family and I don’t need to grump around b/c I forgot to eat). Nope, I don’t buy it.

If you look at her work when she was younger she had a nice healthy figure. Now she looks waxy and grossly thin.

  36. Patata says:

So she feels guilty about eating a burger, but not about living in multi-million dollar homes and wearing luxury clothing???

  37. I. Just. Can't. With.... says:

This! It is ridiculous how people defend her weight. If she is starving herself because of guilt for the starving children in the world, then give up your designer clothes, handbags, mansions, nanny’s, etc, etc. Try to live in moderation and give all the rest to charities & the refugees. She has an eating disorder, period!

  38. AngelMay says:

I used to think Angie Jo was ok, but this is a new low. Using world hunger to excuse your screamingly obvious eating disorder? Disgusting. She is a skeleton with breast implants and fillers in the face.

Chelsea Handler was right about her.

  39. Ida says:

Come now people, she is too busy to eat but has enough time to shower, blow dry and put on that ridiculous make up that makes her face (which I think is beautiful by the way) look like that of a wax doll? Also, although she has always been a slim person, she was most certainly not so thin up until the year her mother was dying. My bet would be that she simply has not managed to regain the figure she had before her mother’s death, probably through no fault of her own either. Following a difficult separation and a miscarriage I lost a lot of weight and it took me two years to get my earlier figure back.

  40. sandy#1 says:

sure, angie is thinner, it’s like beating a dead horse, how many stories, discussion are we going to have about this?, speculating why is absurd, since no one is that close to her or knows any thing about her to accuse her of drugs, anorexia. she is still a beauty, smart, busy woman.

  41. JP Fan says:

I am ROTFLMAO! How old are you guys commenting on Angie’s weight? My guess is teenagers or overweight adult females burning up with JEALOUSY!

Hmmm, here is a lesson on GENETICS…Some peoples metabolism and their active life does not equate to people who eat unhealthy foods, don’t move around, who are couch potatoes.
BUT there are some folks like my sister who try so hard, eat healthy, but her metabolism just does not burn the calorie intake even thought they exercise.
So, please stop this nonsense about weight! I have 3 kids who are all grown up, I don’t diet, I am 5′ 6″ and weigh 120 lbs which is only 10 lbs more than when I was a teenager!
So please stop this very unhealthy convo b/c you do not know their metabolism, their diet, etc. This is a very sad thread, when people take out their “weight issue” frustrations using a celebrity whom they never met and know nothing about (other than 7 years of tabloid and blog LIES!

Please deal with your own weight issues with your doctor, family etc if you are over weight or underweight BUT please STOP this assault on celebs especially Angie because you don’t know SHIT about Angie, Brad & their kids other than what you read on lying tabloids and BLOGS who repost the tabloid lies!! Deal with your own insecurities instead of getting your jollies by TRASHING her purely out of jealousy and envy. Basically, face the reality & grow UP!

    • NM9005 says:

By that equation your post doesn’t make sense either since you don’t know Jolie (other than what your read here and other outlets), you use yourself and your sister as examples (people we don’t know either and don’t represent Jolie’s weight) and further, this has nothing to do with jealousy or weight issues (seriously, what woman doesn’t have weight issues, whether they’re skinny, fat or in between?!). Which person doesn’t have issues in general?! Whatever weight a poster has, doesn’t matter in general. If a skinny girl was commenting on Jolie’s weight in a negative way, what would be so different versus a fat girl? An opinion is an opinion and has nothing to do with personal issues. Well, sometimes it does, but that shows in the way a comment is written.

There are so many things that can be said about genetics, more than your tiny example to defend Jolie so your scientific comment doesn’t hold up here. This is after all a blog first where people share opinions based on what they see and read (just like you).

And I beg to differ that we know “nothing” about her since this week is all about Jolie and her oversharing interviews yet we can’t comment on the obviousness that is her low weight? Seems a bit unfair no?

“BUT please STOP this assault on celebs especially Angie”

It’s just about Jolie for you, there are many post where people rant on weight and since HW is known for their hungry ass females, it’s normal to call them out on it so why should Jolie be spared?

      • JP Fan says:

Awww, so truth hurts? Angie has always been thin ALWAYS, other than when she bulked up for LC and when she was pregnant! She is no thinner than she has always been in her adult life.
You are obviously an extremely jealous biased person who hates Angie b/c you could never be one millionth of a person she is and I am NOT talking about her looks because NO ONE can ever match that beauty in our life time.
I mean her kindness, intelligence, her love Brad, love of her children and ALL children regardless which country they are from, her desire to help the less fortunate, her desire for justice for the victims, the list is too long. Obviously you are in the minority who are blinded by bias and tabloid lies. You don’t know what you are missing. Angie is really an amazing and inspirational woman.
Please take off your blinders and get to learn more about this amazing, inspirational, kind, loving, GIVING woman!

      • Ida says:

Wow JP Fan, you are seriously delusional…Get a bloody grip. She’s a f***king millionaire, but quite average, actress, who is a PART-TIME humanitarian, THAT’S ALL. In case you’re so blind that you don’t realize it, there are many, but many FULL-TIME humanitarians, who are completely ordinary people, and who often put themselves in real danger in order to get their job done. Random example: a good friend of mine who worked for a long time in Africa, caught malaria several times and malaria isn’t a pleasent illness to go through. Also, are you suggesting we should give her a medal for loving her partner and chikdren???!!! Snap out of it, seriously.

      • NM9005 says:

        – Truth hurts? What truth? I can praise Jolie when it fits (in fact I did it quite a lot this week).

        – Second, I think the truth sets people free. I’m realistic on how I look, quite chubby nowadays but again, what does that have to do with my opinion? If I talk about someone’s bad acting does it mean I want to be an actress? Nope. Sorry but you don’t make sense and you know it, that’s why you skate over my questions and go right in the personal digs. Very mature.

        – Most people can’t be what Jolie is for various reasons and I don’t see why other people would like to be Jolie anyway since people are so much more unique when they are themselves and choose their own goals in life without having to look up to other people they don’t know. For all the talk about how inspirational she is and ranting at other people in the form of “what have you done lately” umh, most people probably don’t do what Jolie does so that would be a losing game. You people put her on such a high pedestal that regular people can’t possible relate to that kind of work and they shouldn’t. Jolie shouldn’t be the standard of giving back.

        – I work in an organisation and meets lots of people who lost their home due to various reasons, I’m studying to become a social worker and volunteered too and planning on doing more once I settle down in my new city. And you know what? I feel good about that and have no inspirations to meet up to your standards of life because for one that’s impossible. I do whatever I can and every person who does that is recommandable in my eyes, famous or not. Adopting, having a family and humanitarian efforts are done by many people who have less money and time. Maybe you should put off your blinds and see what real life is about instead of comparing everybody to somebody you will never know personally (only through, guess what? tabloids and blogs!).

Oh and co-sign with Ida. I applaud your ability to keep it short and on point 😀

    • M says:

@ JP fan: I’m on the thinner side and tone, but AJ is seriously underweight. And you are a strange, obsessive fan. One of many on here it seems.

  42. Lisa says:

Who wouldn’t feel guilty eating a burger and fries? Well, maybe not guilty, but a little stuffed if you didn’t make it yourself. US Weekly is weird.

  43. Bernice says:

Watching the movie Salt was almost painful because of how thin she was then. She seems very thin, but probably doesn’t do any weight workouts w hich would give her tone which I think would be helpful. She is naturally thin though I would think.
