There are few couples that I love as much as Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon. Kevin and Kyra have been together for 23 years! And they’re still going strong, through thick and thin, through career ups and downs, through financial disasters (they invested with Bernie Madoff), through parenthood and so much more. These are photos of the Sedgwick-Bacon clan in Hawaii over the holidays, where they were vacationing with their kids, Sosi (19) and Travis (22).
Can we talk about Kevin and Kyra’s bodies for a second? Kevin still has it, doesn’t he? He looks fit and sexy, and he’s 53 years old! He must be a vampire! That’s what I kept thinking when I saw him in X-Men: First Class – how does he still look so young?!?!? Incidentally, I’ve seen a lot of movies this year, and X-Men: First Class is still one of my favorites, one of my top films of the year. Kevin was really good in it – an unexpectedly delicious villain.
As for Kyra – she’s 46 years old, and I hope to look this good at her age. You can tell that she takes care of herself, and I like that she doesn’t look starved or ropey. She looks like she enjoys eating, and she works out. Incidentally, whenever I’m reading “Best of” lists, I’m always surprised that The Closer doesn’t make it onto more critics’ “Best of” lists. TNT just aired the final episodes of 2011, and I have to wait until next summer for this season to end. This last season of The Closer has been awesome, and there have been a lot of payoffs for long-term fans of the show. Kyra doesn’t get enough credit for being the center of this amazing show. Gah! What will I do without The Closer? What will SHE do without The Closer?

I agree, their bodies are great! I’m pretty sure she has implants, on the show they sometimes look too big for her small frame. But I love her and I don’t know what I’ll do without The Closer! She’s a great character.

Kevin would have to be one the most talented actors in Hollywood. He can act circles around Pitt, Clooney, Cruise etc. Its a shame that his talent is so underrated.

It is kinda of funny to realize that Brenda Leigh Johnson… under all those wonderful sweater duo’s… is rocking a huge tattoo.

Kyra is the best. The Closer is so good and she is cute and sexy in it. Funny how less talented women get so much attention.
I can’t take that it is going off the air. Kevin looks good here. For a while his face was just jacked, thin and worn. I thought he was sick or something worst. Which is why I suspected she was leaving the show. They are in separate cities while she was working on it. Plus they lost a great deal of their money in that Madof scandal. Kevin talked about it on a Piers Morgan show. I was sad for them.
Kyra said she was thinking of doing theater so I hope I get to see her doing something. She is so talented.

That tattoo is gross. No place uglier to me than a big wide tattoo on the lower small of a woman’s back. I have friends who did a big, one there too. But she has a bangin’ body.
They’re awesome. I loved in an interview once where she said still feels butterflies (or something like that) when he walks in the door coming home.

Okay, so 12 years after I got it, I despise the three inch ninja star on my lower back. Thankfully I don’t have to see it all the time, it would drive me crazy. I’m not surprised by her tat, me thinks that couple is pretty wild under their public personas. I remember he got quoted as saying ‘Keep the fights clean and the sex dirty’. My kind of man =)

Ha. I had a tramp stamp on my lower back that I got when I was 18 – but I recently covered it up with a whole back piece… I’m sure that’s equally as “classy” to all the tattoo haters on here.. lol.

I don’t think all of us hate tattoos. I don’t. Just that one and tramp stamps in my opinion are very difficult to pull off and look good. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever seen it done but I wouldn’t discount the possibility entirely.

That tattoo, no! I hope it’s a fake – it’s a very deep color, so maybe it’s a temp thing?
Their bodies are amazing. Kyra especially – she bore two kids and is pretty close to menopause, but could be a fit early-20s woman. And I am inspired by their marriage, what they’ve dealt with (Madoff, separation for work) and by their environmentalism – they were early adapters to green city living in NYC. If they are part of an ugly BI reveal on Crazy Days & Nights, I will actually be sad!

The Daily Mail has more photos that show Kyra has at least three tattoos. There’s the tramp stamp shown here, one on her torso on the right side and a flower on her right ankle. I’m so sick of tattoos — they’re so common (meaning popular and low-brow).

on another note: Cee Lo SUCKED on NY’s Eve. He cannot sing-really. I had no idea he needs the sound room to be in tune. And they could have found so many other talented singers to cover “Imagine”. It was blasphemy, i tell ya. And changing the words, too! [it was an okay word change and a nice point he made, but still, i could not get over how bad he sounded. and this after they showed last year's cover of the same song-SO much better. aargh.]

I LOVE The Closer and will miss it intensely. Thank goodness for re-runs and the DVD’s (that I’ll be buying).
As for Kevin & Kyra, I truly hope they aren’t that “solved” blind item I read awhile back. They’be been together a long time & have 2 lovely kids (their daughter is the one who played Brenda’s niece on Closer).
(I’ve been watching the repeats on TNT, and I just DVR’d the ones with Kitty’s death and Joel’s introduction. Anyone who has ever lost a beloved pet cannot NOT cry at those episodes.)

I too think The Closer is one of the best shows on tv. I don’t know what I will do on Monday nights so maybe CB can start a campaign to force TNT to keep it on the air.

I agree about her body. You would indeed have to eat quite a bit and work out to have that amount of muscle mass–not just thin and ropey (GOOP are you listening?). I’m guessing she’s a follower of the 6-meals a day method. Whatever she’s doing, she looks awesome. Who knew?
