Charlize and Stuart are really over maybe

Star is set to report that the rumors that Charlize Theron 30, has split with her boyfriend of five years, 33 year-old Irish actor Stuart Townsend, are true. Theron's publicist released an exasperated statement a week ago that the two were still together in response to speculation that they had split. According to Star, Theron wants time away from Townsend to concentrate on her career.

A report in this week's edition will claim that the Star has learned that those rumors of a split are indeed correct. “She’s broken up with him,” a source tells Star. “She told him that she wants a break, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s over for good.” “They’re at really different places in their lives.

Charlize, 30, wants to concentrate on her career, whereas Stuart is a lot more happy-go-lucky and fun loving,” the source says.

According to the source, Charlize wants to see if she is happier on her own. “If she is, she’ll make the break permanent,” says the source.

Saying you want time away from the other person usually spells doom for a relationship. Maybe Theron will reunite with Townsend after she has some time to herself, but we doubt it.
