Pete Doherty has bought 8 Jaguars in 8 days, showing an ability to consume cars that almost rivals his excessive drug use. When his latest purchase was towed yesterday he didn't bother paying the fine and just went out and bought another one. It was a used model, though, so at least he's not wasting too much money:
Swigging constantly from a bottle of Jack Daniels and looking as though he hadn't slept for days, he clambered up a high metal fence.
Once over the top, he dropped down into the yard of his favourite second-hand Jaguar dealer and started looking for car number eight.
We just enjoy picturing Doherty swigging from a bottle of Jack Daniels, jumping over a fence, and buying a car with cash.
Later that day Doherty's 1,000 pound car stalled out, but he managed to get it started again.
Another one of Doherty's cars was totalled outside his house this month, and he lost a different car in a traffic-related offense in January.
Doherty has also stated the obvious - that he loves drugs and does them for pure enjoyment:
He seems to be gunning for his own reality show with those last comments. Now that, we would definitely watch.
