Naomi Watts is so pregnant

Naomi Watts' Oscar attire included a ripped dress and a flouncy ruffled number that may have been a misguided attempt to hide a growing baby bump. (Yes, we said this already, but a little repetition never hurts.)

Now she was spotted out at the Tribeca film fest with her boyfriend, Liev Shreiber, wearing a full-out poncho with horizontal stripes! Her face looks more filled out too.

Schreiber is said to have bought Watts a 5 carat engagement ring at jeweler Neil Lane. Watts kept her hands conspicuously in her pockets while these pictures were taken, and it's hard to see if she's wearing a ring.

Watts and Schreiber have been plagued by rumors that their relationship is in trouble, with The NY Daily News reporting that Schreiber is controlling and that both were looking for new partners. Reader Millie points out that The NY Daily News doesn't like Schreiber and that they "never fail to take a stab at him." She thinks that Watts and Schreiber each had a difficult childhood and are having trouble adjusting to a long-term stable relationship. Watt's friend Nicole Kidman also looks pregnant and may already be married to her boyfriend, Keith Urban. Sources say that the Kidman and Urban are planning a June wedding in their native Australia, but we think they're already married.

Paris Hilton thinks she works hard just by showing up

Paris Hilton is getting paid half a million dollars to host a rock concert this weekend in Austria. I would work 60 hour weeks for two years straight for that kind of money and consider myself lucky as hell.

Her idea of working hard is seriously skewed. Her house is enviable though, of course.

In the pictures of Paris' Hollywood villa below that were published in Hello Magazine, you can get a sense of the "Old Hollywood" style favored by her interior designer, and see the chandeliers hanging in her closet and over her bed. She also has a huge picture of herself hanging in her lounge.

Among her memorable quotes in the article accompanying the pictures:

"I'm a brand, a model, an artiste, an actress, a designer."

"When I was a kid, I had no idea I lived in a mansion. Then I went to a friend's house, and I was like - oh!"

"I worked hard for all this. I tell girls that if you basically work hard, all your dreams will come true."

Other revelations in the article include the fact that Paris' dogs have their own gated area, and that her bed is worth nearly $20,000 USD.

Site News: DOS attack

So someone launched a denial of service attack on my webhost, and the site was down for nearly two hours today. I've recommeded this webhost to several people because it is otherwise fast and the setup was a cinch. Still, this is unacceptable.

Rosie O'Donnell is the the new co-host on "The View"

Rosie O'Donnell will take over Meredith Vieira's spot on "The View." Other women who were said to be in the running for the position were Connie Chung, Patricia Heaton and Soledad O'Brien.

Dubbed "The Queen of Nice" when her syndicated talk show went on the air in 1996 and became an instant hit, O'Donnell won six Daytime Emmy Awards in six years as best talk-show host. She left the show to help raise four children with her partner, Kelli Carpenter O'Donnell.

This could be interesting, but we're in Europe and have to rely on second-hand reports and the occasional YouTube video. That's not much of a sacrifice when it comes to this show, which we've never watched an entire episode of.

Rosie certainly had a fun talkshow in her time, she's liberal enough and she knows just about everything about pop culture. She's not a bad choice.

Rosie has some nice stories about hurricane survivors she's met posted on her blog, written in her unique poetic way.

Avril Lavigne looks more pregnant

Avril Lavigne wore horizontal stripes again in an attempt to foil the cameras from capturing her growing baby bump at the Hot Hollywood awards. She also wore a horizontally striped top to the earlier "Volvo for Life" awards ceremony on April 12th.

Life and Style speculated that Avril is pregnant over a month ago, and Avril's friends say she wants children right away. She plans to marry her live-in boyfriend, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, this summer in a traditional church wedding with a rocking reception.

Avril has lent her name to a list of media-savvy artists who are against the recording industry's strongarm tactics to try to "protect" recorded music. She and Deryk have joined the Canadian Music Creators Coalition to speak out against DRM locks on music files, and the practice of suing fans for music distribution.

Pete Doherty shoots heroin into an unconscious woman! (now with photos)

The Sun has pictures of Pete Doherty injecting heroin into a passed-out woman on his kitchen floor. Kate Moss is shown in another photo sleeping on a bed at Doherty's house, but she wasn't there when he drugged the unconscious fan. The pictures were said to be taken in the "past five weeks":

The junkie Babyshambles singer, who has won the heart of supermodel Kate Moss, was snapped jabbing the pretty youngster as she lay in his squalid kitchen.

Other pictures seen by The Sun show the rocker — who faces drugs charges — injecting himself and being helped to take drugs by a girl using her hands to form a makeshift tourniquet.

Yet another sees Doherty, 27, smoke a “crack bowl”, his tattooed and blood-stained arms betraying his addiction.

The disturbing scenes were captured by a pal at Doherty’s pad in Hackney, East London, within the last five weeks.

Kate, 32 — who has been secretly seeing the singer despite claims they had split — was NOT present when the drug photographs were taken.

The comatose girl is from a middle-class background and idolises Doherty, often visiting him at his flat. She was left on the floor while he and his pals prepared more class A drugs for themselves.

Doherty was placed on 2 years probation and received orders to attend 18 months of outpatient rehab in drugs posession case last week. He was arrested again on drugs charges on the same day he was sentenced, and was let out on bail.

We thought Doherty might be cleaning up slightly, as he was praised for his efforts by the judge at his sentencing and he bragged of his sobriety at a recent concert. He might be trying, but he won't escape his past without a great deal of effort.

Hot Hollywood Awards: huge picture post

Us Weekly's Hot Hollywood Awards were held Wednesday night. Jessica Alba had a near nip-slip that resulted in some cute picture of her pulling her dress strap up. (Wireimage did not capture this, so you'll have to see it everywhere else.)

Despite Us Weekly's content, stars were pleased to show up for the party.

Jennifer Love Hewitt said she has ended up several times on the magazine's worst-dressed list, but was still tickled that she won the hottest body award in the new issue. Both Hewitt and Jesse McCartney showed up with shorter 'dos. And Tori Spelling confirmed that she has hired a wedding planner for her upcoming nuptials to Dean McDermott. Still, she insisted she's planning something small. "I just want to look good for him," Spelling said.

Cruise to star in a movie with "Kate" Holmes

In one of his creepier quotes, Cruise reveals that he has renamed his girlfriend "Kate" Holmes, because that just sounds more motherly to him:

After discussing the issue with Cruise, Holmes has decided her Christian name 'Katie' sounds too young for a 27-year-old and is now known to friends and family as 'Kate'. Cruise explains, "Katie is a young girl's name. "Her name is Kate now she's a child-bearing woman."

Sure Holmes decided to change her name, the one she's been using her entire life and her entire career, just because it sounded better. My name is Katie too, and to me Kate always sounded like a nickname for a younger person. Whatever. Holmes has changed everything else for Cruise, she may as well let him call her what he likes, too.

And Cruise calls her "child-bearing." That's very specific, and very strange language that seems to add credence to the rumors that she was inseminated.

In an MTV interview to air Sunday, Cruise says he would give up his achievements for his kids. That doesn't quite jibe with his actions lately. He also said he would like to star in a film with ~~Katie~~ Kate:

“If I had a choice between all my life’s achievements and my kids, it would be my kids every time, I’d give up everything else.”

“I’m very properly in love with Kate. She is amazing and spectacular and we can’t wait to get married now.”

“Katie and I have this ‘b and b’ thing down - she breast feeds and I burp and change nappies.”
“I don’t mind getting stuck in. I haven’t slept for a while, what with the new baby and the promotion for the movie, so it’s all a bit hectic, but a lot of fun. But I think baby Suri will be great. In fact I’d love to be my kids - they have a great life.”

He also mentioned plans to co-star in a movie with Katie: he starred in three films with ex-wife Nicole Kidman.

“I can’t wait to do a movie with Kate,” he said. “I don’t think working together is a bad idea at all, a relationship can definitely work under that pressure if you like someone enough.”

Who says things like "I'm very properly in love?" That's so strange and seems like an obvious put-on.

Cruise also attended the Paris premiere of MI3 yesterday. Michelle Monaghan attended, but the other big stars from the film were absent. Tom has a new baby at home but he still couldn't stay away.

Britney Spears schedules a press conference - what's it about?

Britney Spears has a press conference scheduled for May 7th. She's supposed to be announcing her pregnancy and may admit that she's separated from Kevin: (please let the second part be true):

"Britney hasn't held a press conference in so long that we know its something big, pregnancy, a split, we're not sure" says Karen Phillips from Sony/BMG. Pictures have recently surfaced of Britney in a red bikini showing a round stomach that is definitley bigger than before. Spears who has been keeping quiet and when going out wearing large flowing dresses and tops to hide her stomach will face a huge media flock if a split or pregnancy is announced. Spears and Federline tied the knot in September 2004 and have already one child together Sean who is close to 8 months old.

Jive Records and Britney's management were allegedly planning to release her 5th Album in November this year and a world tour was being drawn up for early 2007; Spears was also due to perform at numerous award shows this year but has since pulled out of the commitments due to an unexplained reason.

Now it really does sound like she's pregnant. She's probably not breaking up with K-Fed, though. The article says they haven't been seen together in "weeks," but that's not true. They were just together in Vegas for his show at Pure, even though Britney didn't attend.

Kevin has called Britney the inspiration for his terrible rap-like music and says that little Sean Preston just loves to listen to it:

"My wife is an inspiration to me for life in general.

"In some senses [sic] I feel I have to stick up for my family.

"I want my son and my daughter and my other son to sit up there and look at daddy on TV and say, 'Damn!'"...

It seems Sean Preston is daddy’s biggest (only) fan, Federline said of his son: "He is all smiles when he hears it.

"You can tell the musically inclined thing is already there with him."

Kevin is just so well-spoken, isn't he? He also revealed his painful past and said he was involved with gangs in Fresno:

"A lot of my people got locked up; a lot of my people are dead. I'm not gonna sit here and get into details about what I did."

"I'm not gonna sit here and say that I'm this grimy, gutter, gangsta. But I have been on the hustle."

OMG that is funny. When someone says they're not getting in details, they mean there are no details.

Tom Cruise names Kanye West & Jamie Foxx uncles

Jamie Foxx took time off from his full schedule of sex to stop by MTV London studios while Tom Cruise was taping an interview to congratulate him on the birth of his baby daughter, Suri. Foxx delivered a pink crib full of Burberry baby accessories to the actor, and gushed about what a nice guy he is:

After giving Cruise a big pink crib full of toys, as well as man-hug and some warm baby congratulations, Foxx parked himself on the 1LSQ sofa and told host Russell Brand how he really feels about the Mission Impossible star. "I'll tell you what's amazing about Tom Cruise," said Jamie in his hoodie and suit jacket combo, “I name Tom Cruise intangible, cos of things he does.

“For one he's good looking, he's charismatic, he has all the money in the world and he has a great career. And he's still nice!”

Foxx went on: "You don't see it normally, I've seen a lot of people do a whole lot less than Tom and they've got the 95 bodyguards and whatever, not this guy.”

Tom may not have 95 bodyguards, but he does have an armoured car now. He bought a $180,000 USD armoured vehicle after receiving death threats against him and Katie.

Tom Cruise has joked that he asked Jamie Foxx to be an uncle to Suri:

He said to the Mirror: “Jamie Foxx is going to be uncle. I asked him today and he’s accepted. He’s an amazing guy.”

“And when I get back to the States I’m gonna ask Kanye West.”

Tom's kind of funny, and with all these feel-good stories it's easy to warm up to the guy. I have to remind myself that he's touring around Europe while his wife is stuck at home with a new baby and the Scientology freaks, though. Have her parents even come to visit her yet?

Angelina to give birth to baby boy "Africa" in a month?

Angelina revealed in an interview with Anne Curry that her due date is about a month away. She is now said to be expecting a boy that they're planning on naming Africa:

Eight months pregnant Angelina Jolie is planning on combining her two biggest loves- motherhood and activism- when she delivers her first child next month reports Star Magazine. Jolie is going to do so by naming the baby “Africa”! “They both love the name- they think it’s so distinctive and unique,” says a source close to the actress and her love, Brad Pitt, adding that Angelina and Brad, hope that the name will also help strengthen ties between their baby and their adopted children, Maddox and Zahara. And, contrary to recent reports, Star’s sources confirm that the baby will be a boy. “Brad doesn’t call him the baby, he calls him ‘the little guy,”’ says a source close to the Pitt family. “He’s been raving that with the amount of kicking that’s been going on, his son is going to be a soccer player!”

People reported a couple weeks ago that Jolie bought clothing suitable for a little girl and was overheard saying that she was expecting a girl, so chances are high that either one of these rumors is true.

Meanwhile the Jolie-Pitt Naimibian wedding rumor is further fueled by the fact that Brad bought a special "wedding crystal" that local custom dictates grooms give to brides on their wedding day:

Rumours hit after Pitt bought an ivory and quartz crystal stone from a jewellery store last weekend (22APR06). According to local custom, grooms give the gem to their brides as a pledge of fidelity.

The pair have already been the subject of two wedding hoaxes, which drew the world's press to Italy and to Namibia, where they were rumoured to be tying the knot last weekend (22APR06) - the same day Pitt bought his girlfriend the ivory crystal.

As Millie commented on our article about the rumored Namibian wedding, maybe Angelina will go through with it - as long as it's a local ceremony and not legally binding in the states.

Nicole Richie and DJ AM to marry in July?

Nicole Richie recently redesigned her engagement ring from AM from their first go-around, preserving the stone to use in a new setting. The couple is said to be making it official this July:

On-again lovebirds Nicole Richie and Adam Goldstein are so happy to be back together, they've decided to make it permanent-with a secret summer wedding as early as Fourth of July weekend, friends tell Star! Adam now feels like Nicole has turned her life around. "She's eased up and even put on a little weight," says a friend. As far as the wedding goes, "It's not going to be a big affair-no more than 100 people, with Lionel Richie walking Nicole down the aisle," says a source. "They're still looking at locations, but both of them want to do it around L.A., preferably on the beach at sunset."

That sounds romantic, although we have to disagree that Nicole has put on weight. The couple broke up in December, 2005, and reconciled about two months ago.

Richie must be feeling particularly tender toward AM. He is recovering from "follow-up" work for his 2003 gastric bypass surgery, widely rumored to be plastic surgery to remove excess skin.

Heather Locklear vs. Denise Richards: it's on!

You've probably heard that Denise Richards and Heather Locklear had a falling out over the fact that Denise is dating Heather's ex, Richie Sambora.

It turns out that they were best friends and lived right next door to each other LA. They also shared an on-screen girl-on-girl kiss in Locklear's show Spin City

Heather told Denise she was dead to her after learning of Denise's affair with her estranged husband:

Not surprisingly, the affair does not please Locklear, who views it as betrayal. In fact, when Denise went with a friend to a Bon Jovi (featuring Sambora) concert and after-party on March 3 in L.A., a source tells Star: "Heather went crazy when she learned her best friend had gone to the party. She told Denise she was a traitor who had betrayed their friendship."

She reportedly even went so far as to ask if Richards and Sambora were having an affair, and Denise — who hadn't slept with him yet — was too stunned to answer, prompting Locklear to proclaim, according to a source, "Well, I think you've answered the question. I never want to see you again."

She reportedly concluded, "You no longer exist to me. It's like you've died."

Meow! Locklear can be as much as a bitch as the characters she portrays. Locklear suprised Sambora with divorce papers this February after 11 years of marriage. She is said to have discovered an e-mail sent to Sambora by a former assistant who enclosed nude pictures of herself. Locklear may be dating David Spade now, but there's not a lot of evidence and Spade denies the relationship.

Denise Richards filed for divorce from Charlie Sheen in March after a tumultuous relationship. She alleges that Sheen threatened to kill her and was addicted to gambling, pain pills, and porn.

It looks like Richards and Sambora are pretty happy swapping partners with their neighbors. Too bad Locklear is so bitter about it. Pictures [via]

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey's secret dinner

Nick came off so thoughtful and was quite flattering to Jessica in his interview with Rolling Stone. The fact that he refused to dish any dirt on Jessica and her crazy family led Rolling Stone to double-cross Nick and sell the story without his permission to Us Weekly.

Nick and Jessica had a little meeting at Jessica's house to discuss his Rolling Stone interview:

The same week Nick Lachey’s bombshell interview on his split from Jessica Simpson ran in Rolling Stone, he dropped by her new mansion for the pair’s first post-breakup “date.” Sources say Simpson wanted to talk to Lachey about his loose-lipped ways. Says a Simpson pal, “They promised each other they wouldn’t kiss-and-tell.” Meanwhile, a friend of the former boy-bander says Lachey agreed to the meeting out of consideration for Simpson’s well-being: “When you see someone pretending to be happy, but you know they aren’t really happy, you get concerned. He can’t help but worry about her.”

Jessica has been seen wearing her wedding ring around her neck to remind her of happier times, and Nick said in his Rolling Stone interview that he still loves his estranged wife. Why is Gwyneth Paltrow going out at night already?

I don't like Gwyneth Paltrow because she's pretentious, so take my criticism or what it is - but why is she going out at night already? She just had a baby not even three weeks ago. Maybe she only popped out for a couple of hours, but newborns need to nurse about every 2-3 hours at that age. She could have pumped or he could be on formula, not that there's anything wrong with that. If she's nursing you're not supposed to introduce a bottle until they're a month old, though.

Yes, it's really snarky to criticize her for getting some time alone, but you know, she's so snotty and ungrateful that she deserves it.

Jennifer Garner is sad about Alias ending

Jennifer Garner has said that her ABC show Alias has run its course, but that she's sad to leave her character Sydney behind. It sounds like she's making the best of the situation:

"It definitely feels appropriate," Garner says. "To me, this show had a finite amount of stories that we could tell. The only reason I say that is not because of the writers, because they're geniuses, but part of their genius is that they shove a ton of story into every episode. So we've told, in five years, what some people would do in seven seasons.

"So, it feels like it's time. We've done Sydney right, and now it's time for her to go off into the sunset. But that does not mean that my heart doesn't break, and I'm not going through a total identity crisis, because I am."

Garner also missed doing her own stunts while she was pregnant, and was thrilled to get the change to jump off a ten-story building while filming the show last wekend:

She explained, "I haven't done any of that stuff since I've been pregnant, so I told the stunt coordinator, 'Let's do it, AFTER I put the baby to bed.'"

The star leaped off the ABC office building last Saturday while filming the final season of her hit TV series.

Garner added, "When am I ever going to get the chance to jump off of the ABC building again?"

Garner is a positive, friendly person and sounds so gracious in her comments about the series. Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow and Eva Longoria - take a note!

Teri Hatcher wants your pity

Every relationship advice book I read when I was single said that the best way to get guys is to live it up, have a great time, and not act like you're desperate. You're supposed to date more than one guy, not open up too soon, and make them chase you. The way Teri Hatcher is going, she's going to be single for a while or she's going to end up in a lame codependant relationship.

She told her story about being violated by her uncle as a child in a partial bid to get back at George Clooney for not changing his stripes to stay with her for more than a month. Now she's going to release a memoir chronicalling her sad love life.

* Her second marriage, to actor Jon Tenney, held on for nine years, but was so devoid of passion they didn't even make love on their honeymoon. Hatcher claims to know exactly when their 8-year-old daughter, Emerson, was conceived, because she and Tunney "had sex once that year, on Valentine's Day." A rep for Tunney didn't return a call by deadline.

* After their divorce in 2004, Hatcher set off on "a parade of bad dates." There was a handsome millionaire who was "already in a long-term relationship with cocaine." There was a freak obsessed with prostitutes. And there was a "creepy lawyer" who offered her "$50,000 to go to a convention with him. Like an escort!..."

"If I thought getting divorced was going to open up an arena of endless sexcapades, I was wrong," she says. "I never thought I'd be [over] 40 and have no one to go to dinner with, nor someone who loves me and whom I trust, but here I am. Sad but true."

Meanwhile Teri injured her eye on the set of Desperate Housewives after a lightbulb exploded, scratching her cornea. She sounds rather sorry for herself in her statements about it:

"I was taken to a wonderful eye doctor, and now am wearing a most glamorous eye patch over the right half of my face.

"I like to look at the positive, and the good news is the cornea is the fastest healing tissue in the body.

Jennifer Love Hewitt needs to break up with her hairdresser

Jennifer Love Hewitt was seen with new psuedo-blonde hair in a blunt cut two days ago. She's been sporting god-awful granny updos and a "Darth Vadar" helmet head and now her gorgeous dark hair has been replaced with a very bad blonde-ish flat blunt cut.

Please, JLove - break up with your hairdresser. He (or she, more likely) is incompetent. You're such a nice person, you're probably afraid of hurting their feelings and that's why you put up with all those bad hairstyles. ("It's not that bad," you must tell yourself.) It is that bad, JLove, we're sorry. You need to move on.

Paris Hilton can get her lawsuit thrown out if she just goes to a club

Paris Hilton has two lawsuits pending against her. One is $10 million defamation case filed by Zeta Graff for a story that Paris invented about Graff attacking her in a night club in July, 2005. Paris arranged to have the fabricated incident leaked to Page Six, which is otherwise a bastion of responsible journalism.

There is another defamation lawsuit against Paris by party planner Brian Quintana. He was granted a three year restraining order against her after she made threatening phone calls to him, famously calling him a "lazy Mexican." Quintana was friends with Paris, until he is said to have told Paris' boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos III, to dump her to get back with Mary-Kate Olsen.

Paris is not allowed to get within 100 yards of Quintana, unless they're at the same party.

Now Quintana is willing to drop the lawsuit - if Paris will show up at the launch of the nightclub he's now running, Teddy's, which was recently closed for underage drinking and mismanagement.

But he's offering her a final laurel branch - the chance to put the past behind them and join him to relaunch trendy Hollywood nightclub Teddy's. Hilton was a regular at the hip Roosevelt Hotel club before it closed its doors last month (MAR06), amid reports of underage drinking. And Quintana, who has been approached to take charge of the club, believes it the re-opening will be a perfect opportunity for the two foes to kiss and make up.

He explains, "I don't want to drag out a lengthy legal battle. I need people to know they can trust me because I'll be around for years. "So, for a small fee, I'm asking her to make an appearance with me (at Teddy's)." He'll even drop the restraining order, which prevents Hilton from coming within 25 yards (75 metres) of the party planner when they're at the same event, and 100 yards (300 feet) at all other times.

That's pretty generous and business-savvy of Quintana. Whether Paris shows up or not, he just got a ton of free publicity for the club.

Britney Spears fires her nanny

Britney Spears decided to get rid of her nanny as a result of Sean Preston's supposed fall from a high chair:

The singer made the decision to get rid of little Sean Preston’s keeper in the wake of the child falling from his highchair, according to In Touch Weekly.

Britney has been “hiding out and depressed” since her son’s head-bonking incident and cancelled plans to celebrate her brother Bryan’s birthday, the mag reports. “She wanted to be a mother and thought she could snap her fingers and be the perfect mom,” a “pal” told the mag. “But Britney is learning the hard way that being a good mother is something you always have to work at.”

Britney also asked for a doctor's advice, who told her not to put Sean Preston up "on any high surfaces where he could roll off." Yeah, that's not common sense or anything. Britney wanted to hire the doctor full time, but he declined. He must have realized that trading in a medical practice to become a nanny to celebrity isn't a wise career move.

MSNBC's The Scoop goes on to attribute Britney's non-attendance at Kevin's show last week to her fear of leaving the baby alone with the neglectful nanny. We heard a few different versions, which we reported earlier. One had Kevin asking Britney to stay away so that he could get all the attention and another had Britney jealous that Kevin had asked Paris Hilton to come to the show. Either of those sound more likely.

Maybe Britney will snap out of it soon and take charge of her life. If she's really pregnant, she'll need to get her act together so that she can care for two babies. She'll need to be more responsible even if she does get better staff.

Did Brad Pitt get Catherine Zeta-Jones kicked out of Oceans 13?

There's a rumor that Brad Pitt requested that Catherine Zeta-Jones' character meet an untimely death in Oceans 13, due to the nasty comments about his relationship with Angeilna made by her husband, Michael Douglas:

Brad Pitt has reportedly used his considerable clout to get Catherine Zeta Jones dumped from Oceans Thirteen due to her hubby Michael Douglas comment and shot about Angelina Jolie and her "third world orphans."

Mike Walker [of the National Enquirer] reports that before the actor would agree to sign on to Ocean 13, Zeta-Jones would need to be dumped.

Not only did she need to be swept out of the third 'Ocean's' film, Pitt reportedly wanted her dead (in the film).

Walker writes: Before he'd agree to star in the film Brad decreed not only that Zeta-Jones be banned from reprising her role - he actually forced producers to write in a scene explaining that her character has dies a horrible death.

Cue the rep: Pitt's PR folks denied all and Walker says "curiously claims Brad is not even aware of the Douglas remarks."

Brad may seem like a pansy now that he's holing up in Namibia with Angelina, but he may be capable of being fierce when someone mocks him. Or maybe Angelina put him him up to it.

Update: Al Pacino has joined Oceans 13.

Angelina's exclusive interview from Namibia with Ann Curry will air on the Today show tomorrow morning at 7am and on Dateline Sunday at 7pm. Angelina says she doesn't talk about her relationship with Brad either to the press or with Brad himself and that she hopes to bring awareness to the need for education for children around the world.

In her first comments about her relationship with her Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star, who divorced Friends actress Jennifer Aniston last year, Jolie tells Curry, "I don't talk about our — my relationship in public. But we also don't talk about it at home.

"It's one of those funny things that just happens, and you live your life, and you're a family. But you never actually discuss (it)."

The whole relationship question, Jolie says, makes her "giggle." It's "just kind of funny. If (Brad) saw this, he would probably understand why I was laughing. Because I just don't know how to address that kind of thing."

Jolie says she broke her silence with the media to further her latest cause: educational opportunities for children worldwide.

She also said she knows the sex of the baby, but won't reveal it.

David Beckham gets a free car

David Beckham's BMW X5, worth roughly around $125,000 USD, was stolen from a shopping center parking lot in Madrid on Good Friday. It is the second car he's had stolen in five months.

Beckham's car had all the latest anti-theft devices, including a low-jack, but thieves used a computer to somehow start the car and bypass security. A crime syndicate that fences luxury automobiles for resale in Eastern Europe is suspected of the crime.

As a consolation prize, Beckham received a free top of the line Audi Q7. All of his teammates got one too, as part of Audi's sponsorship of Real Madrid. The car is worth about the same as the one Beckham just got stolen, and he requested most of the trimmings, adding about $35,000 USD to the car's worth.

Tom Cruise says that tabloids that mock him have sad reporters

Tom Cruise has said that the gossip columnists who make fun of his erratic behavior are simply unhappy people:

He explains, "When I look at the people who write or say these things, I realise it's not a lot of people doing it. "It's just a few people, trying to take advantage of sensationalism." The actor claims a few interviewers have tried to bait him into combative statements or behaviour, but insists, "You just have to be who you are." He adds, "Because when I meet these people, they really seem unhappy to me. And that's too bad. Because I'm happy." The media glare has become so overwhelming recently that the star has been forced to have bodyguards accompany him to all of his press interviews. Cruise adds the attention, "seems to come in phases. This just seems a little more intense lately."

Tom may have been referring to a recent interviewer who dared question Scientology's ability to cure the reading disorder dyslexia, from which Tom admittedly suffers.

The conversation was all smiles until reporter Bjorn Benkow insisted that experts say that dyslexia cannot be cured by Scientology as Cruise has claimed. There was an awkward pause, then Cruise burst into laughter. "I'm going to, in any case, admit that you have the courage of a madman," according to our translator. "This is something no journalist has dared say to me face-to-face. . . . Scientology is a religion without divinity. Its teaching is a spiritual liberation from life's problems that can only be reached through advice, courses and deep studies. Your cynical media colleagues cast doubt over all the good that we do by spreading a bunch of hocus pocus about us."

Tom then got pissed when the reporter mentioned Kidman and his adopted children and stormed off. At least the re are foreign journalists willing to state the obvious about Scientology. Tom certainly can't stand to be challenged, although he does give fabulous quotes!

Saying that someone is motivated by unhappiness is an obvious oversimplification. It's like a mom telling her grade school child that the bully is jealous of him. Cruise should stick to vague, happy quotes and try not to get upset or bring any more attention to the fact that he looks like a fool to everyone.

And here he is at a press conference for Mission Impossible 3 in Rome, and at the London premiere last night. Yes, he did attend, and supposedly Katie gave him permission.

Other stars pictured at the press conference and premiere include Keri Russell, Michelle Monaghan, Laurence Fishburne, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and his supposed girlfriend, and Maggie Q.

Jennifer Aniston wants to pullute the air with song

Jennifer Aniston has said that she's quit smoking. She hasn't done it for her health or for the sake of our ailing planet, no, she's quitting smoking so that she can sing in a god-awful musical:

Jennifer Aniston has given up smoking, because she wants to preserve her voice to sing in a musical.

The former Friends star has been inspired by fellow actresses Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, who surprised film fans with their vocal ability in Walk the Line and Moulin Rouge, respectively.

She says, ""I have quit the cigs so that I can get my voice in shape.""

She probably figrues that since she can only do one character and all her movies suck, she may as well try to jazz it up with a change of genre. It may work for her, and it should provide hilarious fodder to mock her with for years to come.

Lindsay Lohan is vain

For Lindsay Lohan's sake, we hope she's talking on the phone through a headset hidden under her hair and not just making adoring faces at herself in her car's sideview mirror. (If she's checking herself out while on the phone, that's somewhat more acceptable since her lips are moving because she's talking, not from making kissy faces.)

TV viewers don't love Lohan as much as she loves herself; her last hosting appearance on Saturday Night Live scored a lower Nielsen rating than Jack Black or Steve Martin's recent hosting gigs. Saturday Night Live is just a show whose time is over, though, and the poor ratings may have more to do with the show's terrible writing and bad jokes.

There's a "friend of a friend" type rumor that Lohan was seen shooting smack between her toes at some party. It lists the source a "gawker," but the article is not on gawker's website. It seems made up entirely to us.

What is wrong with Kirsten Dunst?

We may have seen these pictures recently, they look familiar but we're not sure. They're worth a post because Kirsten just looks so bad.

Ignoring the terrible sunglasses as very ugly sunglasses seem to be popular now, why is she wearing black boots with that dress, and what is that dress? It's so wrong.

Kirsten admittedly loves to shop at the secondhand stores, and it's all too evident.

Britney is really pregnant now - maybe

So Us Weekly is claiming that Britney is like, 100% pregnant.

Britney Spears, 24, couldn’t hide her pregnancy any longer when she showed up poolside at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas this weekend, sporting a red bikini and a serious bump. The singer is expecting her second child with husband Kevin Federline, 28, sources have confirmed to Us

They have a picture of Britney covered up while holding Sean Preston as proof, and will presumably publish some of her in the bikini in their print edition.

We're not believing it until we see it for certain. It still seems like a recycled rumor.

Mischa and Cisco: not over yet

Here's the quick version of Mischa Barton and Cisco Adler's prolonged breakup or on-and-off relationship, whichever you prefer:

On February 26th, Page Six announced that they had split and that Mischa was trying in vain to flirt with Jake Gyllenhaal, eventually ending up with Harry Morton, who is "heir to the Hard Rock casino empire"

Mischa and Cisco were photographed together in LA in early March and again in early April

On April 10th, she was said to have ended it for good

And now, this picture of the two came out in People Startracks.

So are they back together, or just hanging out? Unlike Jude and Sienna, it's a little difficult to tell. Here's the caption from People:

Mischa Barton gets some face time Saturday with her new pooch while lunching with boyfriend Cisco Adler in Malibu. The O.C. star definitely has puppy love: She also has mixed-breed dog Charlie.

Mischa and Cisco supposedly broke up because Mischa got upset when Cisco told her that she was partying too much with Nicole Richie. Mischa and Nicole are still hanging out, but she may have curbed her clubbing in favor of tending to her new dog.

Beautiful candids of the Jolie-Pitts in Africa

Just Jared has these beautiful candids of the Jolie-Pitts in Namibia, published in Hello! Magazine. The couple obviously posed for the pictures and most likely gave the proceeds to charity.

The accompanying article covers the recent news you've already heard about the couple in a very flattering light. Brad and Angelina didn't grant an interview or provide any new quotes, and let their "philanthropic adviser" speak for them.

There are some interesting tidbits in the article. One passage about Angelina's revelation that she needed to make a difference in the world is particularly touching:

It was there in 2002 that Angelina first began sharing her life with Maddox, whom she'd adopted from a Cambodian orphanage during the filming of the first Tomb Raider film. She was in Namibia to shoot another movie, Beyond Borders, when the adoption came through, and it was there that she spent her first night with her then seven-month-old baby - her first night as a mother.

Making Beyond Borders, a film about humanitarian work, had a profound effect on her. "When I read the script it started to change me," she said at the time. "I was amazed at how much it had changed me and then, in the making of it, how much it meant to me. It just inspired me to start travelling and to educate myself."

"I wanted to learn more. I sat up one night and felt I should be more responsible about what I was doing with my life and have more purpose. I don't understand exactly what's going on unless I'm inside a place."

It seems that things have come full circle, as Angelina, about to give birth for the first time, will be welcoming her child with Brad in Namibia. And in the meantime, as they happily await the new arrival, the adventure-seeking couple, who have in the past been spotted piloting aircraft and dashing around on his and hers motorbikes, are taking full advantage of their African sojourn.

They may have found some peace in Namibia now that the government is on their side and they've deported some pesky photographers. They're undoubtedly hoping to take some of the heat off by releasing these beautiful pictures.

K-Fed told Britney not to come to his show

We were right that K-Fed's jealousy of Britney's fame is what kept her from his concert. Kevin is said to have told Britney over dinner to stay away from his show at Pure nightclub last Friday, even though she was planning on coming and was already in Vegas to support him:

The fledgling rapper, who is desperate to kick-start his music career, is said to have ordered his pop singer spouse to stay away from the showcase, at which he played two songs from his forthcoming debut album, 'Playing With Fire', over fears she would "upstage" him.

The 'Toxic' singer - who has a son, Sean Preston, with 28-year-old Federline - is said to have been devastated after he broke the news to her on a dinner date at plush Las Vegas restaurant Nero.

One onlooker said: "It was a full-blown war of words. It was a very bad night for Britney.

"Kevin didn't want Britney overshadowing him on the red carpet. Britney fled the restaurant and raced up to her suite alone, boycotting his performance."

Britney was seen fleeing to her suite in tears. An earlier report had Britney jealous that Federline had invited Paris Hilton to come, (although Paris sent her parents instead) but it makes more sense that K-Fed's jealousy is what kept her away. Earlier rumors had the couple fighting over the fact that K-Fed thought that Brtiney stole his thunder at his performances.

Kevin Federline cannot rap and would have no career if it wasn't for his talented wife. He was said to have turned down an earlier offer from Britney to get professional production help on his album. He's a fool for not accepting Britney's support, and for telling her to stay away from his shows. She will hopefully come to her senses and leave him soon.

Salma Hayek at the "Ask the Dust" European premiere

Salma Hayek stars with Colin Farrell in "Ask The Dust," which opened in limited release in the US in March, and received mixed reviews. "Ask the Dust" is the story of the sadistic relationship between a struggling novelist and a Mexican waitress in the 1930s, and is based on the 1939 novel of the same name by John Fante.

The film opened in Madrid for its European premiere yesterday, and Salma Hayek attended. She also appeared at a photocall for the film today.

Hayek has said that she doesn't like the Hollywood lifestyle and that she tries to avoid it by living on a farm in the country. She also says that she faced blatant discrimination as a latin-American actress trying to break into film. Hayek is now single after a string of long term relationships and is enjoying the process of finding herself.

Jude and Sienna are together yet again

At the beginning of the month Sienna Miller was said to be dating Jamie Dornan, Keira Knightly's ex. A week or so later Jude Law flew to NY to be with Sienna , and Jamie Dornan was supposedly with Lindsay Lohan. Sienna then had a Mexican vacation with hot model Nico Malleville like a day or two after she reunited with Jude. We haven't even mentioned Sienna's relationship with her Factory Girl costar Hayden Christensen, who she was dating at the end of January.

This is like the third or fourth reconciliation for Jude and Sienna, and it's pretty hard to keep up.

Anyway Jude just had a vacation in California with his ex and three kids, during which he accused a photographer of pedophilia for taking pictures of his children. And Sienna has struck out at the paparazzi several times herself, so it's not surprising to see both stars looking mighty grumpy in these candids of them out with Jude's kids and older nanny. They all went to see Ice Age 2 and had to get a police escort to stave off photographers:

Thirty three year old British heart throb, Jude Law, got divorced from his wife, Sadie Frost in October 2003, ending their six year old marriage. Together they have three children.

Jude Law got engaged to actress Sienna Miller on Christmas day in 2004. They met when they made the movie Alfie (2004) together. In July 2005 Jude publicly apologized for cheating on Miller with nanny Daisy Wright which made Sienna end her seven month engagement to Law. But they have since reconciled.

Tobey Maguire is engaged and maybe his girlfriend is pregnant, too

Page Six reported a month ago that Tobey MacGuire,30, and his girlfriend of two years, Jennifer Meyer, 28, visited an Ob-Gyn together. Now they're saying that MacGuire and Meyer are engaged:

SPIDER-Man is getting hitched - and it isn't to Mary Jane. Tobey Maguire, who's getting in shape to play the web-slinger in the third installment of the Sony franchise, popped the question over the weekend to his girlfriend of three years, Jennifer Meyer, daughter of Universal honcho Ron Meyer. Friends say Jennifer happily said yes and slipped on the "big" engagement ring from Tiffany. No date has been set yet. A rep for Maguire said she doesn't comment on his personal life.

While there's no date for the wedding yet, the rumor is that Leonardo DiCaprio will be the best man.

Tobey is now working on Spiderman Three.

Gwyneth Paltrow's secret heartache

Gwyneth Paltrow's dad, Bruce Paltrow, died of cancer in October, 2002. The actress was heartbroken at the loss of her father, but soon found some comfort in the arms of her future husband, Chris Martin. It recently came out that Bruce was suffering in his final months, and couldn't swallow to drink or eat while he was directing the film "Duets," which starred Gwyneth. She kept her brave father's condition a secret, as he did not want to worry the cast or crew:

"He flew to Vancouver to direct Duets, but his salivary glands were shot, a side effect of the radiation. He couldn't swallow easily, he couldn't eat. He had a feeding tube inserted in his stomach."

But the dedicated dad "did not want people to know the pain he was in... It was just excruciating."

Danner also said that her late husband bravely tried to advise other cancer sufferers in the months before he lost his life. Danner says, "The doctors loved him. He would speak to patients across the country about what to expect. He became a very good campaigner for stopping smoking."

"When he saw friends smoking, he would show them his big scar and say, 'You want to look like this in 20 years?'"

That's sad news about her father and we'll to refrain from making fun of the pretentious actress in this post.

Paltrow gave birth to her second child, a boy named ~~Mortimer~~ Moses, two weeks ago, and looks like she's going out for a pedicure in these pictures taken yesterday in New York.

Gillian Anderson and her husband have split

Actress Gillian Anderson and her husband of 16 months, documentary filmmaker Julian Ozanne, have broken up. They announced their pending divorce:

"Gillian Anderson and her husband, Julian Ozanne, are saddened to announce that their marriage is at an end and they are in the process of separating," read the statement released by Schillings Law Firm late Friday. "At this difficult time they request that their privacy is respected. There will be no further comment."

Anderson, 37, and Ozanne, 42, a Kenya-born photojournalist, married at a friend's beach house on Lamu's Shelly Island, just off the Kenyan coast, on Dec. 29, 2004.

They had lived in London with Anderson's daughter from a previous marriage, 11-year-old Piper.

It's sad that it didn't work out for them. We took a while to report this as we were looking for these pictures of Anderson out with Ozanne last month. Thanks to "Hollywood Whore 2005" on the JJB board for finding them so quickly for us.

We think that Anderson has a drinking problem and that may have contributed to her marital problems. She looks wasted in these pictures with her soon-to-be ex husband, and she also seemed drunk at a public appearance at the end of March.

Anderson suffered from drunken air rage in January, and reportedly told a man to pay more attention his wife who was struggling to take care of his son. She also fell down the stairs in her home two years ago, injuring her back. The accident took place in the middle of the night, and who falls down the stairs in the middle of the night when they're sober?

Tom Cruise brags about changing diapers but he's barely around

Tom Cruise told the crowd at the opening of Mission Impossible 3 in Rome yesterday that he loves changing his newborn's diapers and revealed that Katie is breastfeeding:

According to the Daily Star, Cruise said to the Roman crowd: “My mission impossible was to be here today.

“My daughter was just born, and I didn’t want top leave her and her mother..."

He added: “I changed her first: I change diapers all the time. I have to tell you, I love it.

“We have a whole system worked out. It’s the B and B – she does the breastfeeding and I do the burping and changing the diapers. It’s teamwork. It’s fun.”

My husband changed our baby a lot right after he was born, too. It's not that bad if they're breastfed. At least Katie is breastfeeding. We were concerned that she would use the barley-based formula that L. Ron Hubbard recommended. We were also worried that the baby would be abandoned for its first day in accordance with Scientology tradition, but that may not have happened.

Cruise initially said that he had cancelled all promotional appearances for the film due to the birth of baby Suri, but must have been unable to stay away. He said Katie gave him permission to go to the premiere in Rome, but she may have done it half-heartedly, as Jaunted mentions:

"I wasn't going to come and then Kate said, you know, 'Go. Go.' ... So I'm here. And I'll be here for a few hours and then I'll get back on an airplane and go back home to Kate and Suri."

Something tells us it was one of those conversations where your girlfriend is saying you should go, but really means, don't even think about it. Or it would have been, if he hadn't upped Katie's dosage first.

The London premiere of Mission Impossible is tonight. We'll have to see if Tom attends that too.

Update: Cruise will be in London. Go figure.

Paris Hilton cried to get out of a ticket

Maybe Paris Hilton can act. According to the Swedish newspaper, Aftonbladet, the hard-partying heiress cried to get out of a ticket for driving without a registration for her new car:

Paris Hilton visited several nightclubs the night between thursday and friday. The wealthy heiress drove around in her brand new Mercedes SLR - worth almost half a million dollars - when she suddenly was pulled over by the police. The reason was that her car didn't have a valid registration for the state of California, which technically gives the police the right to tow the car. But according to several witnesses, Paris started crying real bad, which made the female officer feel sorry for her and eventually give in. Shortly after, Paris could drive away with only a warning.

So Paris didn't even get a ticket for driving with an unregistered vehicle. She's had the car for about a month, so you think she could send one of her minions to the DMV for her. Here are some pictures of Paris getting a parking ticket, so she's at least suffered that indignity.

Update: pictures of Hilton at the opening of the "replay" clothing store in LA last night. Brandon Davis is launching his line of jeans at the new store. Davis is a former friend of Hilton, and spoke out against her last year, calling her a racist. Nick Hilton also attending the opening.

Paris will host a rock concert at an Austrian ski resort this weekend, and will have to introduce Pink to the crowd. Pink mocks the skinny heiress in her video "Stupid Girls."

PARIS HILTON will travel to the ski resort of Ischgl, Austria, on Sunday. While she's sure to get in some exercise, some posing, some dating, she is actually there to serve as the host of the Top of the Mountain concert series. Among her duties, she'll introduce rocker Pink, who closes the concert.

Jolie-Pitt wedding imminent?

Several reports have Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie getting married in Namibia any day now. Last month's rumor that they were getting married in Italy turned out to be false of course, but in this case they're actually in the location where the wedding is said to be, so it may happen.

The main points supporting the wedding theory:

Brad and Angelina have covered their seaside hotel with screens and have installed spotlights on the beach to enforce their privacy

Their relatives have supposedly flown in, with one local woman claiming to have hosted Angelina's half sister that we've never heard of.

George Clooney is also supposed to be in Namibia now, but this is doubtful.

Angelina and Brad have issued a public statement asking the press to respect their privacy and stating that "We love Africa and to be here in Namibia with our family is very special for us."

The Prime Minister of Namibia has asked the press to leave the country, and has imposed stiff fines on the paparrrazi. The government has also kicked photographers out of the area surrounding the resort, and it is supposed to be impossible to come within walking distance.

Brad and Angelina were caught entering a Namibian jewelry store by the television show Extra!

Sources supposedly close to the couple say that Brad has convinced Angelina to get married before the baby is born.

Angelina is said to want a traditional Namibian ceremony in a lodge in the Etoshan national game forest:

But the weekly magazine [In Touch] reports that there is a hitch: For now, Angie’s talking about a traditional Namibian ceremony - which might not be legally binding after all.

Uh-oh. I believe Angie has reportedly mentioned this type of ceremony before.

This same second friend says Brad, 42, and Angie, 30, have planned a wedding ceremony at a remote lodge in the Etosha National Park in northern Namibia, where wild animals roam. An insider at the Embassy of Namibia in Washington, D.C., says that such ceremonies are commonly performed by local tribal chieftains in a Bantu dialect.

The couple would be barefoot... and “will be asked to reach their arms toward the stars while the tribal leader calls upon the great spirits to watch over this man, this woman and their children until the end of time,” says the second friend.

It's kind of earthy, but it sounds romantic anyway. Brad and Angelina spent a few days at Okonjima Lodge a week and a half ago, and that may be where the wedding could take place. The getaway also serves a charitable purpose, and is "home to the AfriCat Foundation, a non-profit organisation committed to the conservation and rehabilitation of cheetahs and leopards."

Here are pictures of the Okonjima Lodge just in case they get married there. It looks nice but not quite nice enough for Brad and Angelina's wedding. Maybe the website doesn't do it justice. We also have pictures of the Burning Shore Lodge, where they are staying now. (Another lodge that would be a decent candidate for their wedding would be "Little Ongava," although we were wrong that they had visited there earlier.)

Avril Lavigne in "Over the Hedge"

Avril Lavigne is the voice of "Heather" in the upcoming animated film "Over the Hedge." "Over the Hedge" chronicles the adventures of a group of semi-wild animals in the suburbs, including a possum, squirrel and racoon. (I know because the trailer plays in the "Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were Rabbit" DVD that my son wants to watch every day.) It is coming out in theatres on May 19th.

Charlie Sheen to launch a line of children's clothing

Charlie Sheen is involved in an incredibly stupid business venture: he launched a line of children's clothing this weekend!

People magazine has been granted exclusive coverage of tomorrow’s LA launch party for Charlie Sheen’s new line of children’s clothes, Sheen Kids (seriously). Which means they’re obligated to cheerfully give the event space in the magazine, no matter what Sheen’s personal drama may be.

Unfortunately for Sheen, the clothing line was in the works from some time, and announced over two months ago. The launch couldn't come at a worse time for him, because the allegations in his wife's divorce deposition are explosive.

The divorce statement from Denise Richards acquired by The Smoking Gun is pretty incredible and well worth the time to read. Richards says that Sheen:

Wanted Richards to abort their first child

Became enraged when he learned that his first baby would be a girl

Accused Richards of poisoning their daughter Sam when she switched from breastfeeding to formula after a month

Also accused Richards of poisoning Sam when she took the baby to get vaccinated

Was addicted to painkillers including Xanax and Ativan

Told Richards to wait while she was experiencing bleeding during her second pregnancy so that he could watch a basketball game.

Conducted bets while Richards was giving birth to their second child, and refused to pick her and the baby up from the hospital

Visited gay and straight porn sites with underage-looking participants.

Looked for sex online and e-mailed at least 30 people pictures of his erect penis.

Pushed Richards while she was holding their baby, and threatened to kill her while his two daughters watched.

It just goes on.

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards were married in June 2002, and first announced their divorce in March, 2005 when Richards was six months pregnant with their second child. They reconciled in the fall of 2005, but announced that they were divorcing again in March of this year. They have two daughters, Sam, 2, and Lola, 9 months.

It's bad news for Sheen's new clothing line that his divorce details are now public, but it's rather suspect that he's involved in children's clothing if the allegations by his ex-wife are true.

Kelly Osbourne is wasted

Kelly Osbourne has been to rehab twice: in the spring of 2004 when her parents confronted her for abusing painkillers and again in the summer of last year after she was said to have fallen back into old habits.

That's why it's a little disconcerting to see the newly slender and on-her-own reality star looking really wasted. Kelly, you should know better!

Lucy Lawless as Wonder Woman?

A contributor to Oh No They Didn't overheard someone on a bus in LA saying that they were working on the new Wonder Woman film and that Lucy Lawless is going to star in it:

Public transportation isn't always a drag. While showing my mom around our dirty city, I opened up my ears to the conversations around me. A music teacher (or so he claimed) was trying to pick up the girl sitting next to me. He was telling her that he's been working on the background music for Wonder Woman (due out in 2007), and that Lucy Lawless will be playing the lead roll.

I know there's been a lot of speculation of who will be given the roll, and I know you can't trust every long haired mack you meet on the bus, but Hollywood's also chock full of insider information, if you know where to look, so, take it with a grain of salt, but if he were making it up, he would have picked someone more appealing to a woman than Xena.

The notion that Kate Beckinsale was in talks to play Wonder Woman originated as an April Fools' Blog post, while the rumor that Lindsay Lohan was vying for the part was recycled from a "Herbie: Fully Loaded" interview in which a reporter specifically asked her if she'd consider it. Given those sources, this is as good as any.

We read a while ago that director Joss Wedon said he was looking for a young Wonder Woman for a "coming of age" type film, so a 38 year-old Lawless in the lead doesn't make sense. It could be true, we'll just have to wait and see.

Russell Simmons gets cosy with 20 22 year-old "America's Top Model"

48 year-old Simmons, the founder of Def Jam records and owner of Phat Farm clothing, met his soon-to-be ex-wife Kimora when she was 17 and he was 35. They have two daughers, Ming Lee, 6, and and Aoki Lee Kyoko, 3 and a half.

Russell Simmons' relationship with 23 year-old model Denise Vasi is said to have hastened the end of his marriage. Russell and Kimora remain on friendly terms for the sake of their businesses, and Russell has publically encouraged Kimora to have an affair too.

Simmons apparently wasn't satisfied doing yoga with his lovely new girlfriend, because The NY Post reports that he was all over 20 22 year-old "America's Top Model" winner Naima Mora:

After conspicuously making the rounds a couple of nights with 23-year-old model Denise Vasi, Simmons was on the prowl Thursday night. The hip-hop mogul and estranged husband of Kimora Lee Simmons showed up early and alone to the Complex magazine fourth-anniversary party at the Classic Car Club on Hudson and Broome, and he was looking for love. Spies say he quickly settled on "America's Next Top Model" winner Naima Mora , and the two spent the rest of the evening huddled in a corner.

Simmons may have a penchant for young models, but does shows a sense of personal responsibility in his dealings with the public. He ran a hip-hop summit yesterday to try to teach financial matters to young people:

The headliners include Alicia Keys, T.I., Nas, LL Cool J and Fabolous. But money - not music - will take center stage today as rap mogul Russell Simmons brings his Hip Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment to New York for the first time.

Some 2,200 people are expected to fill the Hammerstein Ballroom on West 34th Street starting at 1:30 p.m. to learn about saving, budgeting, credit cards, FICO scores and home and car ownership.

It's all part of Simmons' nationwide drive to harness the power of hip hop culture to teach money to young people.

While financial experts will be on hand to dole out hard-nosed information, Simmons is looking to his star presenters to rouse the crowd with their own rags to riches stories.

The Summit also touted a new pre-paid Visa card while expousing the dangers of personal credit.

Pauly Shore amazes everyone by declaring that he dated Kylie Minogue

Pauly Shore and Kylie Minogue dated for a short time after they met on the set of his 1997 movie, Biodome, which Minogue has called her "worst career move." The two didn't last once Minogue figured out who Shore was and went back to England, and Shore is still crying into his beer over it:

Shore says, "I fell in love with her... big time. I didn't know who she was and she didn't know who I was and we just had a great time together. I just fell in love with her personality. I'm like, 'Oh my God, this girl's adorable.'"

The couple spent a romantic holiday in the Bahamas together, and then Shore took the singer to Las Vegas for the first time. He adds, "She loved it because it was so cheesy. She was like laughing at the whole thing."

The couple tried to maintain their love affair, but distance eventually drove them apart. Shore says, "She was over (in London) and I was over in Los Angeles and I guess she started dating some other guy and broke my heart."

Even though it still breaks his heart, Pauly should be commended for being able to talk about it nine years later, just like Angelina Jolie's ex, Jenny Shimizu.

Minogue is doing well as she recovers from breast cancer. She has written a comeback album called "Lessons" that should be out in 2007. She also plans to sing a duet with her boyfriend Olivier Martinez.

Shore had somewhat of a comeback with the indie flick "Pauly Shore is Dead" that came out in 2004, and a 2005 TBS reality show, Minding the Store that centered around Shore trying to run his family's comedy club.

Britney Spears skips out on husband K-Fed's listening party

TMZ reported that Britney Spears planned to attend the listening party for her husband Kevin Federline's excuse for a rap album at Pure nightclub in Las Vegas this past Friday.

It promises be the musical event of the year, in a way. Kevin Federline is hosting a listening party this Friday at posh Las Vegas nightclub Pure. Inevitably a large contingent of K-Fed's scruffy hangers-on and his C-list music producers will be in attendance.

But in an interesting turn of supportive wifeliness, Britney Spears is planning to attend and has even gone so far as to put 11 of her own friends on the guest lists for the party, sources say.

The pictures have come out from the event, and Britney is nowhere to be found. Is she fed up with K-Fed? We reported on Saturday that she was said to be enraged with Kevin when seven month-old Sean Preston fell off the couch when Kevin was supposed to be watching him. Sources say this may have been the fall that fractured the baby's skull, not the incident with the highchair.

Britney may have stayed away because Kevin asked her to. The couple was said to be fighting over the fact that Britney gets all the attention at events promoting Kevin. The last time they made a public appearance together was at a belated birthay party for Kevin on March 25th.

Britney is also said to feel threatened by reports that her ex-bodyguards plan to dish the dirt on her, which could include allegations of drug use and details of her sloppy lifestyle.

Jamie Foxx slept with four women all at once last week

Jamie Foxx has a career as an R&B singer that we haven't paid much attention to. At an RCA party celebrating his album last week in London, Foxx handpicked five hot women to stand next to the stage while he performed. After the show, he took four of the women into a "secret chamber" backstage with him. (One of the five the apparently had some dignity)

And after he got the screaming ladies eating out of his hand, he selected four - including an Italian and a South American - to escort him to his private lair backstage.

Beefy minders stood guard in front of the locked door to the opulent V-VIP room, which had four double beds covered with red velvet sheets, strewn with rose petals.

To complete the saucy setting, the secret chamber - filled with bottles of Cristal champagne - was lit with dodgy red lights.

For over an hour, no one was allowed to disturb the love-in and when we cheekily asked what was happening, a flunky replied: "What goes on in the boudoir, stays in the boudoir. When you're Jamie Foxx on top of the world - you can get anything you want.

"Everywhere he goes he hand-picks the women he wants to get to know. He likes having women all over the place."

During his show, Foxx skeeved everyone out when he pulled British rap star Estelle onto the stage and tried to make out with her:

The crowd, expecting a duet, were left cringing when he started slow-dancing with her and demanding kisses. He said: "Check out her lips. Kiss me, keep your lips there, mmmmmmm."

Oh please. Later, Foxx and his crew headed to Pangaea where he struck out with Sugababe Keisha Buchanan. (She turned down K-Fed, too, so Foxx is in good company.) Instead of Buchanan, Foxx is said to have settled for some other gorgeous woman.

Foxx is 38, and he must be trying to make up for lost time. The guy is not super-handsome so he's probably not used to getting ladies and is having his glut of them while he has a chance. I'm sorry, but anyone who has that much random sex at that age has a problem. Maybe a sex tape will come out to embarrass the guy and help him slow down.

Exclusive: are Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban already married?

Nicole Kidman was photographed leaving a Starbucks in the Hamptons on 4/21 while clutching a pile of papers. Commentors on the bulletin board where we found the pictures note that she looks like she's covering a baby bump, especially in a side picture (shown inset) that seems to show a lower-stomach bulge. No one noticed that she's wearing what looks like a wedding ring on her left ring finger, though, suggesting she may have already married her boyfriend of less than a year, Keith Urban.

People have suggested Nicole is pregnant for a few weeks, and that she's planning a wedding to country singer Keith Urban. With these new pictures of Nicole hiding a baby bump and wearing a wedding ring, she may be confirming that both rumors are true.

Meanwhile someone made up the quote from Kidman wishing just Katie Holmes and her baby well, and seeming to deliberately leave Tom out:

The Australian actress was quoted yesterday saying “I hope mother and baby are doing well” after hearing news of Suri’s birth earlier in the week.

However, Kidman’s publicist Catherine Olin has vehemently denied her client ever passed on her good wishes to the happy couple.

She fumes, “I've been deluged with press queries on the back of this and I'm completely taken aback.

"Ms Kidman never issues statements about her personal life. I'm her publicist and I never released this statement."

If Kidman is indeed pregnant and married, the press will soon be focussing on her and not as much on her freaky ex and his new baby.
