The NY Post's Cindy Adams reports that a long-rumored "Friends" reunion is now in the works, and that holdout Jennifer Aniston finally agreed to it:
A while ago it was rumored that Lisa Kudrow said that "one of the guys" was holding up the reunion after Kathleen Turner let it slip that she was approached to reprise her role as Chandler's mom, but then Kudrow denied that a reunion was in the works.
Now that Cindy Adams has reported it, it's probably true, and I can't wait! I love that show, although it's hard to watch now that I have such a poor opinion of Aniston. She must have realized how much she owes to "Friends" and maybe she'll be grateful to the show for making her famous.

It helps my opinion of aniston. Some of the best acting from a woman in television happens with her on that show. Both her and monica are amazing actors, they just make it look so easy no one notices.
The TV show "Friends" has to be one of the most over-rated comedic shows ever. The show is about as funny as the Flinstones were. By that I mean certainly someone thinks it must be funny (due to the ratings) but it advances my theory that America is experiencing a dumbing down of our society. America is getting dumber by the minute.
Mr. T, you can say that about dumb shows like the thousand of gossip entertainment shows in the evening, the hundreds of reality shows on MTV and VH1, and stuff like that! Friends was fun, we all could relate to at least one of the characters and it's one of the shows that I can watch over and over again although I've seen every episode at least two or three times.
Mr. T, I'm guessing by your handle and the content of your comment that you're a relative of mine!I disagree and think that "Friends" was a very good ensemble comedy that people liked because they identified with the characters. There's something to be said for a dumbing down of society, but gossip and entertainment serve a purpose.
It's like eating cake. It's rich and delicious, and you can enjoy it in moderation. Sitcoms don't have to be a person's main media diet, but they add some tasty dessert or whatever. Ok, that analogy sucks, but you get my point. You're at a gossip blog after all.
I agree celebitchy, its an entertainment blog. Comedy is funny in that what someone thinks is hilarious, another person cannot find it funny. I guess TV is subjective like that. Friends isn't a bad show at all. Heavens, I only watch re-runs and no reality shows either. I cannot watch prime time TV anymore. Perhaps the re-union of Friends may help TV get back to some quality. I take it back, friends isn't bad at all (considering what crap is out there).
My regards to you and my compliments on your web site. It is really done well.
I can understand Jennifer in some way and I'm sure she's grateful that the show made her that popular. But just imagine you'd DEPEND on a TV show that you've been trying to get away from for so long - she tried to get more serious film roles and be successful with movies and didn't really manage it.. That must be frustrating! I can't wait to see a Friends Reunion though, although I'm not too fond of reunions in general, as it destroys the whoel series sometimes, you know.. Just like the stupid final of "Felicity" destroyed the GOOD end it originally had.. What a pity!
