The Best Mel Gibson political cartoons

The Mel Gibson story may be fading from the headlines, but the memory of the uber-rich religious director's anti-semitic outburst won't leave our collective consciousness for years. He's going to be the punchline, the scapegoat, and box office poison for a while. (And C-List actors will keep bringing him up to either support or scorn, whatever suits their publicity needs.)

Cagle.com has lots of clever political cartoons about the Mel Gibson incident. Mel's career in film and his multiple over-the-top apologies provide plenty of fodder to make fun of him.

That bigot racist pig...I'm sick of people defending their bad behavior on being drunk. Mel's tirade is a reflection of what he really believes in. It's not a momentary lapse of judgement but an actual revelation of what a racist bastard he really is..His father taught him well. You cannot grow up in household where parents preach racial intolerance and hatred and not be affected. Mel had it given to him by people whose influence stayed with him later on in his life as this latest incident obviously illustrated.

He has always come across as arrogant and a schmuck...

Great cartoons!
