Sienna Miller & Tom Sturridge are engaged & planning a flapper-themed wedding

During the first week of January, Sienna Miller sort-of announced that she was knocked up by her boyfriend of less than a year, Tom Sturridge. When I say “sort of” I mean that her rep didn’t officially confirm or deny anything on the record, but that the rep totally gave the wink and the nudge to Us Weekly, and no one has denied it, so it’s true. Anyway, the initial announcement was just about Sienna’s pregnancy – sources said she and Tom were not planning on getting hitched, which… I thought was a smart move. Sienna is a notorious man-eater, and I suspect she gets bored rather quickly, baby or no baby. It’s always good to have an exit strategy, the faster the better.

A few days after that, Life & Style’s sources claimed that Sienna was in fact engaged to Tom (he’s 26 to her 30). A source told the tabloid:

“They’re engaged and really happy. Her family is happy, as they absolutely adore Tom. He proposed to Sienna during their romantic trip to Paris after Christmas. He filled their hotel suite at the Ritz with flowers and presented her with a vintage Victorian ring. It was incredibly romantic — she was blown away.”

“She finally found the love of her life in Tom and couldn’t be happier. She trusts Tom and is herself with him. There’s no drama between them — they’re made for each other. She can’t wait to be a mother. The couple are over the moon with the news of the pregnancy.”

Sure, that’s how she feels NOW. Give it another six months, then we’ll see. Anyhoodle, Star Magazine’s sources are also claiming that Tom and Sienna are planning a wedding, and they have specifics! It shall be a flapper-themed affair! Girl, Kate Moss is gonna be PISSED.

Sienna Miller has a baby on the way with beau Tom Sturridge, 26, and now Star can reveal she’s planning their wedding too! But is she still pining for her ex Jude Law?

“She wants it to be a 1920s flapper-style wedding, with the guys in dapper suits and the girls in vintage dresses,” says an insider, who adds that the affair will likely be held at a country estate in the Cotswolds area of England in September.

“No expense will be spared. It will probably cost a minimum of $2 million.”

But Sienna’s friends are shocked that she intends to invite Jude to the festivities. “Sienna only fell for Tom after she and Jude split in early 2011 because he didn’t want more kids,” notes the insider. “Everyone’s worried that she’s still not over him.”

[From Star Magazine, print edition]

So, basically, Sienna just wants to redo Kate Moss’s wedding. Which makes sense, because Sienna often just jacks Kate’s style and calls it her own. Kate even invited Jude Law to her wedding, and he came! Would Jude go to Sienna’s? Probably. I bet they still talk. Hell, I bet they still bone on occasion. And God knows Jude can get a girl pregnant just by looking at her… hmm… conspiracy?!?!?!

Here’s the real question, though: will Sienna invite Balthazar Getty? Hahaha. Like Rosetta Getty wouldn’t shank Sienna as she walked down the aisle. Who else should get an invite? Sparkles, definitely. Kristen Stewart! And Rhys Ifans. Oh, this will be delightful.

I have a soft spot for her. I think she’s pretty, and underrated actress, and I like her clothes.

Tom Sturridge? While his beard’s too bushy in these photos, if he shaved it down a little,I’d totally hit it.

And I love love love flappers.

So all in all, I give This story an A-. (’cause of the unkempt beard). I hope they invite me to the wedding. (They probably won’t, because they’ll assume my social calender’s too jam-packed. Fair enough.)

  2. Loulou says:

I love her. People are so uptight towards her, Victorian really in their judgment of her. She’s just more liberal than the boring orthodox celebrities of today. Anyways, what’s funny here is that she’s sitting towering over Anna Wintour who’s not a fan of hers. I’d be tempted to spill something…

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

I like her too. I bet she’s going to be a super-cute mom!

    • Tapioca says:

I don’t think anyone would have cared what she got up to if there hadn’t been four children involved.

Or she had the film career to justify her level of media exposure!

      • normades says:

What tapioca said. I understand the arguement that you can’t homewreck a man against his will, but you can try avoiding the married ones, no?

  3. Rose says:

Aha so she was probably pregnant when she wore that godawful dress in the last photo!

  4. brin says:

That’s the first thing that came to mind….Kate Moss will not be happy.

    • normades says:

Yup, Kate always accused Sienna of copying her. Lilly Allen had the same headdress as Kate, so I imagine Sienna will have a similar one too.

  5. NM9005 says:

I hope Jude Law will come out running in slow motion to the altar to Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together”, swoops her away and gets hitched in Hawaii with her…AS IT SHOULD BE!
Miller is only interesting with Law imo. Beard is doing nothing for her.

    • NYC_girl says:

      Love it!

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

      That would be amazing! Lol!

    • Camille (The original) says:

I tend to agree with this:

‘Miller is only interesting with Law imo’.

As much as I couldn’t stand Miller and Jude together, they were so, so pretty and truly ‘golden’ together (to look at anyway) and they did make for some great gossip.

I think Sienna is a huge drama Queen so I don’t see these two lasting forever.

  6. Darla says:

Eh, this woman’s “I am a brainless free spirit who just can’t be bothered to worry about I treat people” got old fast. Now she’s 30, looks 40, acts 15, and she just looks ridiculous. Fortunately, I think she will just continue to fade into oblivion.

    • Zelda says:

I can see how lots of people don’t like her, but to whom does she look 40?!
I’d say she looks her age.

    • Lady_Luck says:

Hear hear to all of that.

I remember once reading a blog that described her well. Putting your hand down Sienna Miller’s pants would be like encountering a “hungry horse’s mouth”. LOL

  7. emma says:

I think Pattinson would be the Best man. Rob and Tom are best friends afterall so that’s to be expected.

  8. whatthehell456 says:

    Who cares?

  9. NerdMomma says:

I’m glad she’s moved on from Jude Law! But what’s up with the body language in these pictures? He looks like he’s shrinking away from her.

  10. Suzy (from Ontario, Canada) says:

Zelda – loved your comment! LOL

I do think she looks really pretty in that black lace dress.

  11. The Truth Fairy says:

Based on his body language in these pix, he’s not into her at all! Maybe things have changed since then or maybe she used the old “baby trap” (à la Kate Hudson & Gwynnie) to keep him around?

  12. outofafrica says:

Tom’s arms desperately need to pump some iron.. They look as scrawny as sienna’s

  13. fabgrrl says:

So..when is she due? A September wedding would occur after the birth of the baby. But how much after? I would think that Sienna would want to make sure she is thin for her own wedding. I’m thinking that that means she is somewhat far along, so that she will have a few months to lose any pregnancy pounds. Although…a flapper style dress would have a drop waist, which could disguise a bit of a belly. Smart.

  14. Cirque28 says:

I can’t imagine finding Tom Sturridge appealing. He was in some unbelievably bad movie in which he played (I’m not even kidding) a mime and now I look at him and just see a pajama-wearing, mouth-breathing man child who is trapped in a glass box.

(Sorry Tom Sturridge. But you know that mime movie sucked and you know you sucked in it.)

    • mia girl says:

Agreed! I caught a bit of that movie a few weeks ago and thought I was hallucinating; it was that bad. He’s pretty to look at (under that beard) but even that couldn’t get me to watch a minute more of that movie!

(That’s saying something bc I sat through the entire Queen of the Damned movie last night just to look at Stuart Townsend)

    • DreamyK says:

Current beard aside, he’s kind of a femme looking dude and looks like he has the physique of a teenager. To each his own I guess.

    • CTgirl says:

Oh, that movie did suck! Tommy is a little on the fey side for my taste.

  15. Monkey Jim says:

More chance of me marrying a coconut than Sienna marrying this dude, ever

  16. Asli says:

2 million effing dollars!!!!! Whaaaa…? I’d die before spening that much money on a wedding! (Yes, I did go to Chris Rock’s fathers school of cheapness)

    • aprayerforthewildatheart says:

      LMAO! Robitussin!

      “Dad I broke my leg!”

“Here, put some Robitussin on it… that’s right, let that ‘tussin just sink in there.”

I would never spend that kind of money on anything, but especially not a wedding!

  17. kazoo says:

She just looks like a whore.

  18. Julie says:

I get hardly look at that man.

  19. Ez says:

He’s so unattractive compared to every other guy she’s dated. Jude, Rhys, Balthazaar… Anyway, I’m glad their happy and I wish them luck.

  20. kbomb says:

Wish she’d brush her hair. Ever.

  21. k says:

Sturridge looks like a douche. Body language says he’s not really into her.

  22. Mouse says:

What an odd couple. I hope they’re getting married because they really want to get married and not just because she’s preggo. That is NOT a good idea.

  23. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

No one’s getting married. She’s had more engagements than I’ve had glasses of water. I’m not even saying that not married is a bad thing, I’d never say that. I’m saying we’re going to see the ring about her baby’s crowning head before the wedding ring. The wedding theme confesses it since I’ve never heard of a woman being able to flatten out a baby by binding it in canvas to suit the form of the flapper dress.

  24. T.C. says:

They haven’t even been together for a year and now she is 30 years old. This pregnancy smacks of a “oh my gosh, I’m 30 must have a child right away my clock is ticking”. I would be shocked if it was an accident (on her part anyway). I don’t see a 1920’s type wedding for a pregnant woman. The slim look is what was in during that time so I’m calling B.S. on the wedding. Plus Sienna Miller will want to look skinny on her wedding day. Trust.

  25. Lindsey G. says:

I’m sure their pre-divorce ceremony will be beautiful.

  26. Nev says:

your right…she is always biting Kate’s style/s….I have always thought that.

  27. Pia says:

Maybe I’m being picky because I’m a history nerd, but I get more of an “Edwardian turn-of-the-century” vibe from Kate Moss’s wedding. Was it intended to be a 1920s theme? I wasn’t celebrity savvy (lol) at the time so I honestly don’t know, but I didn’t see “Roaring Twenties” as Sienna’s wedding is described.

    • Cirque28 says:

Yeah, I guess we forget sometimes that the Edwardian period was not all muttonchop sleeves and giant hats.

Although Sienna’s wedding will still probably look too close for comfort to Kate Moss’s wedding.

BTW, have you ever been to The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY? If you like fashion and history, it is nirvana.

  28. Miss Thang says:

Why would such a pretty pretty man cover his face with all that hair?

  29. Bobby sue says:

I love her, period. She’s always been a fave and then I met her after her play in NYC and she was absolutely delightful, funny and sweet. Her performance was amazing as well. I am so happy for her. Congrats!!

  30. the original bellaluna says:

Yeah, there won’t be a wedding. (Call it intuition.)

  31. lease says:

    …………………

why did I click on this?

  32. Kosmos says:

I get this feeling their marriage won’t last, maybe it’s because she comes off as vapid to me and has so many failed relationships, also he’s so young still, don’t get a strong feeling about this. So right, as someone said, they are happy Now, but give it six months or a year or more, then we can reevaluate. Oh, and I agree totally and do not find him in the slightest bit attractive unless you find scrawny arms and hair and white rimmed glasses appealing ? However, if they’re attracted to each other, then that’s all that really matters.

  33. Sophie says:

Wow, they are seriously ill-matched. I think she only started dated him so that she could be snapped by the paps hanging around with Rpattz and Kstew during the tail end of the Twilight frenzie.

  34. Julie says:

Those pictures from the tennis match look ridiculous. He’s a handsome guy without the beard. In the pics it looks like she is some fussy old guardian taking a wayward youth for an outing. If there’s a child involved I hope they can make it but seems like a total mismatch and I agree-her clock was ticking and this dude was convenient.
