Nicole Kidman has a somewhat revealing interview in Glamour magazine in which she talks about her labor and her hudband’s stint in rehab challenging their relationship.
She says that her son Connor Cruise is a little disappointed that he didn’t get a younger brother from Katie or Nicole, and Nicole throws it out to Katie to work on it.
OK! Magazine claims that the two couples are very friendly, but I almost think Nicole’s throwing this back on Katie knowing it will raise some headlines. Rather than saying something like “There’s no immediate plans, but who knows” she actually name checked Katie Holmes.
Naturally OK! had to take this to mean that little Suri is getting ready for a wee brother, saying there is ‘no better time than now for Katie to get pregnant’.
In the same interview with Glamour Nicole says that she always felt that she wasn’t as good as Tom Cruise, until she got divorced and won an Oscar.
Recalling her first marriage, Kidman, 41, told US Glamour magazine: “I felt I became a star only by association. I didn’t think [my early movies] were very good, which is why I would always cower in the background.
“I thought, I don’t deserve to be here. We would go to the Oscars and I would think, I’m here to support him. I felt it was my job to put on a beautiful dress and to be seen and not heard.”
I always though that when Nicole’s face could move, she was a much better actress than Tom Cruise, particularly when you watch films where they feature together.
She also spoke candidly about Keith Urban’s stint in rehab, early in their marriage.
Urban was admitted to rehab for alcohol addiction four months after their wedding, and the actress said they went through a tough time: “It brought us to our knees. Addiction is very prevalent in our society, and it can be shattering to both people in the relationship.
But working through it together was an extraordinary path. It’s very easy for a couple to experience joy together. But when you experience pain together, it can lead to such depth and such union. That is when you fuse. As a couple, we are in a place of deep gratefulness. The experience gave us deep honesty and greater love.”
But she added: “I’m in a place of gratitude and humility. I don’t take any of it for granted. I touch wood every day. The journey of life - we all go through it. You have love, you lose love, you find new love. To have love again is a beautiful thing.”
I think that for many couples it’s not until you are tested that you know how strong the relationship is, although as an addict Keith is likely to return to rehab many times over his life. I’m not sure how forgiving Nicole will be when the honeymoon period is over, but I honestly think that their marriage is one of the most genuine Hollywood relationships.

Movie promotion and se talks about Tom Cruise again. Notice that he never talks about her unless specifically asked and even then he is rather brief. Which tells me that Nicole still feels like she is in the backgroud and needs to talk about her ex to get some more airtime. See, we would not be talking about her here too.

I don’t know who colors her hair, but it always has a strange un-natural tint to it. Slightly greenish-yellow. An unnatural color. Strange for a celebrity who can afford the best hair color consultants.
With these darker eyebrows she looks a wee bit like Daryl Hannah in some of the up close photos.

I love this woman, she is so perfect. I think that at times her being so reserved can backfire.. and I also think many envy her because she has so much charisma that everything she does can’t go unnoticed.

The fact that she always felt like she was in Tom’s shadow is probably precisely what he wanted. He doesn’t want a woman who’s “bigger” than him (not fame-wise, anyway
). Katie’s in the same boat. Hopefully she has more confidence than Nicole, but somehow I doubt it.

But yeah, meh. I actually like several of her earlier films… “Malice” anyone? And I saw the extended trailer for Australia, and it looks horrible.

Shut her up. She has nothing to say worth listening to. I remember thinking how naturally beautiful she was in Days of Thunder - red hair, soft face - now it’s those harsh eyebrows that look witchy all the time, bad eye color, and empty rhetoric.

I’m basically indifferent to Nicole, but for some reason, it really annoyed me when she claimed that she’s never had any plastic surgery. I mean, it’s so painfully obvious that her dead-looking forehead/brow are not even remotely natural. She looks creepy.

i was watching “practical magic” recently and my boyfriend came in the room and said, “who’s that?” i told him it was sandra bullock. and he said “no-who is the redhead?” he didn’t even recognize nicole. if she is insisting she’s had nothing done to her face than she is lying or insane.

I don’t understand why so many people dislike this woman. I really like her and think she’s very talented, though she hasn’t been in many great movies lately. And how can people tell she’s had work done on her face? With some celebrities it’s obvious, but why are people so sure with her?

Sadly she’s as phony baloney as her android ex-hubby. 3% of what they say is probably true. None of Nicole’s so called revelations are noteworthy. For my taste she’s too thin, and too pale. Her eyebrows bother me and so does her tri-color hair:blonde/red/grey.

I love Nicole Kidman, she has style, class and grace. Yes she is very private, but i see her willingness to speak about Tom’s and her marriage as another shackle she has shed. I grew up watching her on Tv in small roles and in movies she would rather forget, Im sure, but she has always had a clear and personable personality, spoken eloquently and exhibited charactoristics i wish more of hollywoods so called ‘elite’ had.

Keith will relapse after more time spent with the ice woman. Who boozes it up right at the beginning of the relationship??? I’m waiting for Tom or someone close to him to spill on HER. He didnt just come home one day and announce he’s thru with her. She got caught doing something. I’ve always thought Nic was a calculating robot. Always giving the best answers to cast herself a certain way….never honest answers cause she wouldn’t know how. And her fake mouth poses. Ug

Movie promotion time. The “oh so private” Kidman talks. She spent her time in London & Australia while her husband was in treatment. The 2 times she did visit him, the photogs just happen to get on the grounds. Strange how that happened.
