Here are some new photos of Vanessa Paradis last night, at a dinner in Paris. God, I dislike this dress so much. This cut is completely wrong for a woman with small (or non-existent) breasts. It’s not flattering at all on her. Still no Johnny Depp around, although Vanessa claimed that the split rumors are “false”. I covered Vanessa’s comments a few days ago – I found her statements rather cryptic, but some of you yelled at me and claimed that we should just take VP’s denial at face-value, I guess. I don’t see Johnny Depp bending over backwards to defend his relationship, and I don’t see him rushing to Paris to be with Vanessa and save the relationship either. I do think there’s a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes, and if you told me Johnny was screwing around with other women, I would totally believe you.
Speaking of, In Touch Weekly has a story about a few of the ladies that Vanessa didn’t trust around Johnny. ITW claims that Johnny has been “secretly getting cozy” with his longtime publicist Robyn Baum, 47. Allegedly, Johnny and Robyn have been spending a lot of time together (maybe to work out a media strategy on how to handle Johnny’s breakup?), and Johnny publicly kissed Robyn at a premiere last year. But it just looks like a kissy-face thing between two professionals and friends, so whatever.
In addition to Johnny’s relationship with his publicist, Vanessa was also jealous/furious with his relationship with Amber Heard, according to In Touch. Amber and Johnny partied, dirty danced and flirted with each other a lot while they were making The Rum Diary, and Vanessa couldn’t stand it. Blah.

Agreed. I hate Shakira’s voice (and singing) to no end. I’m not sure if I hate Paradis’s voice as well…all I know is that if listen to “Joe le Taxi” (and that baby voice she does while singing it), I’ll certainly have seizures. It was a huge hit in Brazil back in the 80s, it played non-stop on every radio available where I lived and I wanted to die every time I, involuntarily, heard it — and to make things considerably worse, a Brazilian tv host/(horrible) singer called Angelica recorded a version of it (with lyrics in Portuguese, I mean). You know when you have a dream within a dream? Now, replace “dream” with “nightmare” and you’ll know what I felt.
Lmao about Shakira–I literally have to run to the radio & shut it off when she comes on! I have never understood how someone who sounds so annoying is so well respected for, well, sounding so annoying. Shudder.
VP is beautiful, but this dress makes her look like she has pectoral muscles & not breasts.
I agree about Shakira’s voice too! It’s so bad and goat-like, I can’t stand it. I can do a pretty good imitation of it though, and I can’t sing at all.
I wouldn’t mind the dress if the top were different, that weird neckline is distracting.
Considering there are kids involved and these two aren’t selling their private life as a career like a Kardashian, it would be nice if the tabloids backed off and let them work out whatever they need to.

True enough. I’d be mighty ticked off if my husband was out drinking and dirty dancing with another woman after work every night. Especially if you can see that your partner is flirting with intent rather than just flirting for fun. Big difference. I don’t think you could really call that jealousy, more like anger at the disrespect you’re being shown.

BTW: I think the dress is not that bad. I have to applaud her for having a flat chest and being proud of it. The length is bad, though. It stumpifies her.
I am so glad you made this comment Audrey. I hate it when boyfriends use the excuse “you’re just jealous” as a comeback to a situation where they are clearly in the wrong and any reasonable person would agree that they are the one that’s behaved inappropriately. It’s infuriating and unfair and SEXIST! It’s like they turn the tables on you and suddenly you’re the bad person because being “jealous” has worse connotations then what they did that you’re justifiably upset over.
Sometimes you’re not “just jealous” but you’re in the right.
Johnny has said in many interviews that he’s not a dancer, so I’m having a hard time believing that he’d be dancing with Amber or anyone else for that matter; unless it was for a role. Even Helena Bonham Carter said that they had to use a spinning platform to make it appear that she and Johnny were waltzing in Sweeney Todd because his dancing was so bad. Besides didn’t Amber say that she didn’t even bother to hang out with Johnny and the film crew after filming scenes for the Rum Diary?
Maybe he wants out and she won’t him go. Maybe she did something to make him want to leave.

I think this dress is gorgeous, but like others have said, it’s a weird in-between length. Just to the knee (or a tiny bit below) would be cuter. I think VP looks amazing here, but the cut of the neckline isn’t the most flattering to her bust.
Everyone rags on this woman, but she seems cool, unconventional and interesting to me. She has enough of her own stuff going on that she’s not concerned with Hollywood BS. Usually when a celebrity denies a split or says a story in the tabloids is untrue the tabloids leave them alone for a little while. It’s odd that evern after she said their not splitting, tabloids are still running the same stories makes me think maybe they are having problems.
It’s so over Johnny had to have given the go ahead for that People cover. They don’t do scandalous stories on an A+ actor unless they have the assurance that there will be no reprisals. People isn’t Star Magazine. Lainey’s theory it’s all about the $$$ and they currently negotiating and Johnny is doing his best to hold onto that Pirates dough.
What I don’t understand is that if they aren’t married, how would she have any claim over his fortune? She wouldn’t in France, not at all. California, do they have common law marriage? If not, how would she have any claim to his $$$, outside of child support? That’s the bit that doesn’t make sense to me.

It looks very much to be over, and Vanessa is in denial.
I never got a positive image of this woman. She’s always seemed to private and defensive for my liking, not to mention devoid of any charm.
Now, she appears to be aquiring that sad, middle-aged bitterness that women in showbusiness are notorious for, having based their lives on a superficial existence where there livelihood is based on the exterior appearance, things would feel pretty cruddy when they start to lose that or are deemed past it.

RE: Kate Moss – I don’t “get” the big hype over her either and never have. i find her postively unattractive in video or candid shots. That said, when Moss is in photo shoots with professional hair, lighting, clothing, i do think that their is something about her face that is sort of haunting and attractive in an unconventional way.

She’s spoken about the meanness she experienced at the hands of her schoolmates, particularly the girls, following hitting fame as a teen. And most European stars are a lot more private than the HW ones. When is the last time you heard gossip about Deneuve? Firth? Bellucci? It’s considered tacky and trashy in France to be in the tabloids. She’s a perfectly normal example of a french star.
As for superficial, I really had to laugh. She’s so superficial that she lived in an old farm near a small French village with Depp. Didn’t get her boobs done. Didn’t get braces and veneers. Didn’t use Depp to promote herself. Didn’t push her kids in the spotlight. Yup, she’s certainly been living the superficial life…

I’m small chested and I think the criticism Vanessa is getting well warranted. It’s not about her breast size; it’s the dress she’s wearing.

I have often been jealous of the smaller breasted women. Their are many, many fashion choices for them that large breasted women simply cannot wear w/o looking slutty or just unkempt. I don’t like Vanessa dress because I do find it unflattering specifically because of the smaller breast issue. That’s not knocking Vanessa for her smaller chest just her fashion sense!

I am a Vanessa Paradis fan, and I even I can admit that she looks cut in that particular neckline.
She may be talented and a nice woman she does have a certain presence; but I don’t think she is beautiful at all. I find it funny reading the comments of the people calling her “beautiful”. then I see them call others ugly.

Audrey, right on…why is she portrayed as jealous? Maybe he gives her reason to be…we don’t know what their issues really are, how could we? Can you imagine keeping a long term relationship when your man is all over the world in between visits with you? Oh, yes….the dress looks good except for the unfortunate neckline. I’m a Vanessa fan. I’ve seen her in an interview and she’s very sweet.
