These are some photos of Princess Charlene and Prince Albert from late January and early February, both sets from public appearances they did together in Monaco. Several weeks ago, I spied a set of photos – which we don’t have access to – of Prince Albert vacationing in St. Moritz, Switzerland… and Charlene was nowhere around. Albert did manage to find companionship with a “mystery blonde” though – you can see some photos from that trip here – apparently, Albert claimed his wife was “in Milan” where she “had some appointments… shopping.” The consensus seems to be growing that Albert and Charlene pretty much have an open marriage, that they live separate lives and only get together for public functions and photo ops. Could you live like that? In your first year of marriage?
Anyway, Page Six had this interesting piece this morning:
“The King’s Speech” won Best Picture last year, but this time the Oscars may have real royalty in attendance. Princess of Monaco Charlene Wittstock and Prince Albert are hoping to attend the Feb. 26 awards, sources say. They add that Wittstock is soon planning to unveil a new foundation for children. The past drama surrounding the couple could make a good Hollywood script itself: Wittstock reportedly tried to flee Monaco ahead of the couple’s June wedding.

Like, Princess Charlene sitting in the Kodak Theater, rubbing elbows with Brangelina and George Clooney? Will she blink out an S-O-S and hope that some movie star saves her? Or does Charlene just want to hobnob with celebrities like everybody else? I’m not sure how I would feel about Monaco royalty invading Hollywood… sure, they can come to the post-Oscars Vanity Fair party, but the actual ceremony?

Not at all. I think Charlize is beautiful and Charlene not so much.
They are so desperate for some media attention. Ever since their farce of a wedding- the media has dropped them like a hotcake. Over the past few months no media (accept their hired photograhpers and local paper) has covered them.
They have no reason to be at the Oscars accept to remind the world they exist.
It’s sad really. Both of them are so pathetic and really beleive that some people beleive their facade.
We will see them waving to the cameras- “hi -we’re here. Please take our picture and care about us because we are fake Prince and Princess of Monaco.” I would like someone to ask them why are they there?
What a change from Grace and Rainier. Sad very sad. Maybe they can walk in with Lindsy Lohan or Kim Kardashian. That will get their picture in a magazine or two.
I dont see why they shouldnt be invited considering Alberts mother was one of the most iconic actresses of all time.
