The world premiere of The Hunger Games was held in LA last night, with all of the major stars making red carpet appearances. Well, there was no Lenny Kravitz, but I think he was the only one to skip the red carpet. The premiere got a great turnout from Young Hollywood too – but I’m just going to be covering the people in the movie (plus Miley Cyrus), just because I really don’t know who many of the “Young Hollywood” teenagers are.
Let’s start with fashion! Jennifer Lawrence wore this gold Prabal Gurung Fall 2012 gown, which… I understand. It’s a tribute to her character, and it’s something Katniss would wear. Plus, it’s a big “fashion moment” gown, this is Jennifer’s big premiere for a major film in which she’s the lead. She needed a show-stopper dress. Is this it? Eh. I don’t mind gold on a blonde – and the cutouts are interesting, as is the back of the gown. But I think the overall effect of this look – the dress plus the styling – is slightly cheap. Plus, this girl is beautiful – she doesn’t need the bangs or that scraggly stuff around her face.
Liam Hemsworth shaved! He looks sexier with some scruff. That being said, this boy is handsome. Maybe he’s just a dumb meathead, I don’t know. But he’s cute. As for Josh Hutcherson – that boy is SO short! He’s kind of cute too. I wouldn’t have put him in a three-piece suit, though.
Elizabeth Banks in Versace. The dress is crazy, but I hate her hair.
Liam’s girlfriend Miley Cyrus walked the red carpet separately from Liam. What does that mean? They walk on red carpets together all the time, so I don’t get why they separated this time. Maybe producers wanted Liam to only pose with Jennifer and Josh. Oh, and Miley is wearing Emilio Pucci – eh. She’s not the star. She should have just gone with a cute cocktail dress.

I agree. The dress would be much cuter if it was knee length. Her hair should have been pulled back. But overall she looks good-not great-but good start. Her booty looks good in the dress.
Elizabeth Banks looks amazing but I don’t like the boring shoes with that sick dress.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. She is so pretty but WAY too much make-up and a trashy dress. Ugh. And that hair! The colour is awful on her and so is the cut. In my opinion, she should have a darker hair colour, and lighter, more natural make-up. Busted, busted, busted.

Not to mention the fresh upper lip injection, so freaking obvious and boring now, she looks like an average porn star (sorry, i’m in europe so can’t judge her by her acting until the movie shows here).
Katniss, the girl on fire. Yay. I actually like the dress for this occasion. It’s fun.

If she did do that she’s the biggest hypocrite, telling everyone she’s so natural and didn’t jump in the Hollywood bandwagon.
That’s the first thing I noticed too -subtle lip filler going on there. It’s well done but pretty obvious if you knew what she looked like just a year or two ago.
Most of these girls tweak things though, simply cause they can. Keira Knightly for instance with her lips, even though she’s really pretty.
I’ll be naive and say she could have used that lip plumping gloss. I have some that was pretty expensive (for me, anyways), and it gave me a pretty good pout.

Irrelevant? Not sure you know what that word means. It’s just been 8 mos since her million dollar a nite tour, she has performed on CNN Heroes, Trevor House Awareness Benefit, Starkey Foundation Benefit, Ellen, and Jimmy Fallon, in the last 8 weeks. Not to mention, returning to Haiti to fit children for hearing aides, two other charity events, promote Bob Dylan’s Amnesty Album, and has two movies coming out. On top of that, two clothing lines, and is working on a new album. She’s not a little kid in HM, anymore, she’s being a regular grown up in Hollowood.
I think Jennifer Lawrence looks great. I don’t understand all the negative comments. And lip enhancement? Not in my opinion.

Except for Josh (who looks adorable as always) and Liam (he usually doesn’t do anything for me, but he looked really handsome), everyone looks cheap and just badly styled. It pains me to say it, but I hate Jennifer Lawrence’s look with a passion. I hate the dress, the colour and the cut-outs, her hair looks awful. I don’t know who I think looks worse, Jen or Miley Cyrus, and I hate that I don’t think Jen looks way better than Miley… Hoping she picks a better look for the UK premiere tomorrow.
The best dressed for me were the supporting cast – little Amandla Stenberg (Rue) looked lovely.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I don’t find Jennifer Lawrence pretty at all. I think she’s a really talented actress and seems like a down-to-earth person, so I’m not criticizing her…I just find her very plain.
She is plain. I have no idea why people think she’s so stunning, when she’s very normal like most of HW. Beautiful women were the old HW women, nowadays they are just plain. Maybe they think Jennifer is so different from everything, which she clearly isn’t, they are head over heels.

When Jennifer Lawrence is not smiling, she is a stunning beauty. When she smiles, she transforms into an adorable girl-next-door. She is so darn cute, I can’t wait to see all the dresses she wears over the next few weeks promoting this film. I love that she’s going with a little flair, and I think her hair looks amazing from the back.
That first pic made me lol. Josh Hutcherson looks tiny but cute! I don’t mind Jennifer Lawrence’s dress that much, mainly because she’s so gorgeous she would look good in anything and I also love the fact that she has a body that is athletic/healthy looking. LOVE Elizabeth Banks’ dress, I wish Jennifer had worn it actually. Good god, Liam Hemsworth is almost too pretty to be attractive. I’ve never been a fan of Miley Cyrus and never will be. But it must be hard having such a gorgeous boyfriend who’s career is surpassing yours and everyone is talking about how he’s out of your league now. Of course her ego is probably so huge that I doubt she’s giving it any thought.

I think she’s pretty, but not devastatingly gorgeous – though she is still young, who knows as she gets older. She seems like a nice, down to earth girl though, so though I have no interest in it, I hope her movie does well. She was fantastic in Winter’s Bone (and looked amazing at the Oscars that year).

I loved Jennifer’s dress. it moved beautifully and is memorablefor a red carpet dress, bad or good, so it was a great choice. Don’t love the hair, but it’s not terrible. I also like Miley’s number too, I don’t think is was too much in anyway, and it was black. It’s not like she showed up in a red dress with a 10 foot train. EB’s dress is good but the hair is to editorial.

I think they put Jennifer Lawerence in a dramatic gold number to emulate Katniss’s dazzling “interview” dress. “The girl on fire.” At least, that’s the vibe I’m getting.

If you don’t think Jennifer looks like a total goddess, you’re crazy. The bronze color of the dress compliments her olive skin tone and the windswept look of her hair is a nice contrast to the formality of the gown. She has always had a full upper lip and just because there is a picture that accentuates it doesn’t mean she’s had injections. We’ve all had pictures taken that altered how we really look.
