Sweet Mother of All That Is Holy and Fassy. I love starting out my day with some photos of Michael Fassbender. He’s on the cover of the June issue of Esquire UK, likely to promote Prometheus. I CANNOT WAIT for this movie. Incidentally, I finally saw Shame a few weeks ago… OMG. Like, I knew there was going to be nudity and sex and stuff, but I didn’t actually expect there to be an actual story, or for Fassy to be so moving and tortured as Brandon the sex addict. I love him so much… he’s so amazingly talented, as well as amazingly beautiful. Anyway, I love this Esquire photo shoot – especially the one where he’s playing in the water (*OMG*). He looks so much better here, right? As opposed to that awful photo call in Paris a few weeks ago! As for the interview excerpts – well, Fassy isn’t talking about unleashing his beast and riding bareback. But it’s still really good:
On his love of socialising: “I like to go out. I wouldn’t say I don’t enjoy a drink. As I say, I’m a sociable person.”
On his love of dancing: “I like to dance. Ha! You know, I enjoy myself when I go out. When we were in Berlin and I went out with my parents, we were out till three in the morning, we were all out dancing.”
On his secret hangover cure: “I still listen to Slayer, man! I just put them on the other day, still listen to Metallica. AC/DC brilliant…If you’re a little bit hungover, put on AC/DC, it’s like there’s no room for [the hangover] any more, the anxiety’s all gone.”
On now having to consider his behaviour since becoming famous: “The thing is I don’t like to filter my behaviour, but I have a feeling that might be the case now…I don’t want to be in the newspapers. I just want to keep what I do on screen and that’s it.”
On being seduced by the trappings of fame: “It would be wrong of me to say that I don’t get seduced by certain things. That things don’t become tempting.”
On his temptations: “Well, you know, sort of, money! How much money does one need? Let’s start with that, that’s a pretty good one. Greed, things like that. Vanity, believing the hype. You have to keep an eye on those things.”
On keeping grounded: “There’s another side of me that’s very simple. I keep my lifestyle pretty simple and my possessions are pretty simple.”
On his self-imposed hiatus: “You have to see it clearly as looking after yourself. There is the danger of burning out here and getting lost and just becoming uninterested.”
On his next challenge as a scriptwriter: “The next thing is to develop, make your own stories with writers, gather a pool of creative people and develop stuff. So it’s not the fact that I’m waiting for someone else to hire me or I’m waiting for a really good script to arrive, I’m actually trying to make that script.”

Obviously, my favorite parts are about Fassy being “seduced” by various things. He admits to at times feeling greedy, money-hungry, vain – but he doesn’t mention the ladies. Or unleashing the beast. Maybe he doesn’t see women as part of the “trappings of fame” or something he should “keep his eye on.” Meaning he doesn’t see his (overwhelming) sexuality as a bad thing? Maybe I’m reading too much into it, looking for something sexy because I’m depressed thinking about Fassbender going into a self-imposed hiatus. It’s true – after he promotes Prometheus, he won’t have any other films coming out this year. *wailing, sobbing*

I KNOW! One of the best photo shoots ever, because he looks so playful in all of these photos. Yes, it’s nice to see him with barely any clothes on. But I rather like when his playful side is shown. It’s his best trait.
HURRY UP JUNE!
But yes, it will be sad to have to wait till 2013 for his next film it probably won’t be out till the summer or late in the year.
He needed a break though and I understand that. A burned out Fassy will do us no good.

IKR! As I was quickly going through the photos I had to stop and go back because I thought he was pantless in one of the photos. I almost died.
The only bad part about these photos is that I think he is wearing skinny jeans in some of the photos. Even Fassbender cannot make skinny jeans work on a man.

He is so gorgeous. Love him. I’m not crazy about shame as a film, but he was great.

Kaiser, his self-imposed hiatus already took place from the end of last year’s film festival season until he started doing press for Prometheus. He talked about it all last year. He’ll start filming Twelve Years A Slave and The Counselor this Summer as well as some other projects so he’ll be plenty busy. But I’m sure we’ll see more of him soon as he’ll be doing even more press for the release of Prometheus next month. By the way, he’s supposedly in New Orleans at Jazz Fest right now. And before that, in New York for the Tribeca Film Festival and was spotted in Brooklyn late last week getting hot and heavy with his girlfriend who lives there. Supposedly they were displaying major PDA.

One sexy guy. Many actors say they are going on a self-imposed time away and then a good part comes along and it is hard to turn down. His career has taken a jump start in the last year and no way is he turning down a good part for a holiday.

Dear Guest, he already took a year off after he finished filming Prometheus. He is scheduled to start shooting his next film (originally said May) now I think it will be more like June.

I approve of these photos. Teeth look great! Photoshop didn’t go bleach crazy but they definitely lightened those babies up. He’s gone from a 4 to a solid five.
His love for chocolate still will not FassInate me, though I saw the Oscars round table discussion with Theron, Davis, Clooney, et al., and I will say he seems very intelligent.

Kaiser, when I saw Shame and the initial nude scene when Brandon walks around the corner and hits the answering machine button, the first thing that popped into my head was, “Dammit, how lucky is Kaiser to get to see her celeb crush’s c*ck!” You are VERY lucky indeed.
I liked Shame too, but not because of the dong (although it was impressive), but the complex character he created. It was perfect – complicated, subtle, and truly showed his talent.
PS – can’t believe it took you this long to see it!

In Kaiser’s defense Turtle I did send her a gif of that same scene cleared up and brighter from the movie when he walks around the corner and that may have scared her a little. I was too, cuz I had already seen the movie but it was not as clear as the gif I found. It was also slowed down and you could see every bounce of the Fassdong which can be very scary if you are not ready for all that. I think I fainted the first time I saw it.

Him and Askars are my favorite actors right now but I have to say the Fassbender gives much better interviews. He seems so honest in them and he actually admits to stuff in a way that’s real. That he’s a little greedy and vain the way we all are. LOVE HIM!
