In May, 2007, Lindsay Lohan was caught doing cocaine on a security camera in a club bathroom. In February, 2008, after three stints in rehab, at least one of which she claimed was successful, Lohan was photographed swigging straight from a bottle of champagne, an incident which her publicist said Lindsay dealt with by “stopping herself, calling her sponsor, and getting back on track.”
Lohan has long been rumored to stash vodka in water bottles so that she’s not photographed drinking. In this latest footage from a surveillance camera at a club, she seems to have forgone formalities. She’s seen pouring Grey Goose into a glass, topping it off with some Red Bull and chugging it down. The footage ran last night on Inside Edition and was taken in a club in Washington, DC about five weeks ago. The Sun says she’s topping off the Red Bull with vodka, but the video shows her pouring in the vodka first and then toping it off.
Lohan was slurring her words in that weird interview with Maria Menounos in which she called Obama “colored,” and was photographed being held up to walk as she stumbled out of a club in London.
Lindsay and Samantha have been seen fighting in public on several recent occasions. If Lindsay is drinking again that could partially explain it. The woman has two DUIs and has pretty much partied a once promising career away while wasting millions on designer goods. Can’t say I feel sorry for her.

I believe her heavy problem was cocaine.I dont blame her though,after all that happen with her father and how negative the press is towards her.Iam happy to see she is still with Samantha.

It seems people these days have no clue what it means being a “recovering” alcoholic!
The brother of a friend of mine went to rehab to quit drinking. When he came out, he said they told him “moderate drinking” was allowed! Uhm, LIAR!

Her issue is cocaine, not alcohol, so who cares? AA and the like have brainwashed us into thinking that if we’re addicted to one substance we can’t indulge in any others, but I don’t buy it.

Alcohol WILL lead her back to her drug-of-choice (cocaine) — if it hasn’t already (which I’m pretty sure it has - hence her weight loss).

Watch the video kids… I’m not one to defend Hohan or anything, but they totally showed the shots out of context. They show her drinking from a glass with a time stamp that pre-dates her pouring vodka into a glass. Does that mean she didn’t drink it? No of course not, but seriously, it’s Inside Edition, not CNN. Consider the source.

AA and their doctrine aside. Studies have shown that people who have serious substance abuse problems are prone to abusing more than just their “drug” of choice. I’m sure it takes a lot more booze to get the high anywhere close where she was with the coke.
Of course it’s true that not all people fit into this generalization of addiction, but life is much easier when you stop seeing yourself as the exception to the rule. -
Also, she may well be an alcoholic too, for all I know. I was basing what I said on all the talk about her coke addiction. If she is an alcoholic, yeah, swigging vodka–if that’s what she’s doing–is a terrible idea.

If there’s a rehab for compulsive liars and deceivers then she needs to go there first and foremost. And even then, first she’d have to jettison her family - they’re a large part of her pathology.

I guess I thought it was assumed that she was drinking again when she started to make club appearances with her girlfriend? I know I need a mild buzz to deal with the club scene. . . (blech!)
Was Lohan in a 12-step program, or just a rehab facility? I’m not sure about her drinking habits, but she’s sure looking *sniff sniff* thiner.
I know NA/AA can work for a lot of people, but I think the “all or nothing” mentality is a little dangerous for the population as a whole. It can foster an unhealthy mindset and lead to a cycle of self-fulfilling prophecy. Maybe being a friend of Bill W might be the best call for her in the long run, or maybe she should learn some self-restraint.

I think the problem here is that this girl is in denial (BIG TIME) that she even has a problem. Addictive personalities just change what they are addicted to. She’s addicted to shopping, she was addicted to sex, she was addicted to cocaine and who knows what else? I hope it’s worth it to her since her career has tanked since all this happened. She constantly makes poor choices but she’s definitely an adult and needs to learn from her mistakes.

The public is not surprised by this. I think most of us assumed Lindsay was still abusing drugs and alcohol. It’s the stupid publicity machines and PR reps who underestimate the public and sell us bogus bs stories about how celebs are all better, blah, blah, blah.
