Aw. Just… aw. These are new photos of Colin Farrell and his son Henry out and about in Los Angeles yesterday. Colin took his youngest son to Baskin-Robbins, then they went book shopping and Henry got a new kid’s book. Henry’s third birthday is coming up in October – his mom is Colin’s former girlfriend Alicja Bachleda. Colin and Alicja met and fell in love while they were filming Ondine in 2008, and Alicja quickly became pregnant, and gave birth to Henry in 2009. Alicja and Colin broke up the following year, and since then, it seems like Colin has gone without a long-term girlfriend (although I’m sure he’s dating around). I think Henry takes after his mother, right? I see a lot of Alicja in Henry – her fair coloring, similar face.
Does anyone know if Alicja and Henry live full-time in LA? I know Colin’s son James and James’s mom Kim live in LA, and from what I’ve seen, Colin and Kim have a loose and comfortable joint custody arrangement with James. But I wonder what Alicja and Colin have arranged?
Colin does seem like a really great dad, doesn’t he? Very… “present”. Very focused on his son. In a recent interview, Colin described his evolution to become a better father, saying: “People say having children changes you, doesn’t it? Unfortunately not. You can go around the world and see stories where it doesn’t change people. You have to allow it to invite the change in. So the first three years of James’s life was me going ‘I’m not going to change, I’m just going to be his friend — we’re going to be pals. But that didn’t work out so well. And then based on a couple of life changes I made myself, I thought, ‘Why am I fighting change?’”

I like that he’s trying his best to be a good father now. 🙂 Actually it’s true, not everybody changes after having their children. Some adapt easily, some harder, and some doesn’t change at all.

There are a lot of parents that could learn from this guy. He loves his kids. He makes an effort to be with them. He doesn’t use them for tabloid fodder.

looking at the ice cream on his sons cheeks colin isnt the type who licks/spits a tissue and rubs it off. i had my fair share of that when i was a child.
I used to HATE when my mother did that! I still remember it, 35+ years later. Mom’s the word, though. 🙂
Haha my mum used to do that to me all the time! I hated it, especially when rather spit, she’d dip the napkin iton my or her cup of sprite and wipe me with that…yeah thanks for using a sticky sugar substance to clean off another (most likely sugar based) substance

Alicja spent a few months last year in Europe on a movie set. In interviews for the polish press (she is here a very known actress) Alicja says that she lives in LA, but judging by the frequency of visits to Poland, she is between-the-continents person right now.

This is a nice story to wake up to.Who doesn’t have memories of going out to get some ice cream as a kid?but Henry better hurry up and eat it because it looks like it’s starting to melt.

Not generally a huge fan of guys that father multiple babies with different women….still, he DOES seem like a loving and involved father, which is wonderful to see.
Alicja lives in LA, but I read, that right now, she spends A LOT of time in Poland because her father is ill. He has some kind of cancer, leukemia probably).
Yes, she does visit Poland quite often but her primary residence is LA.

Cute picture. Taking a kid out for ice cream once in a while is different from being a parent everyday of that kids life. That kid’s mom is the real parent not occasional present Colin Farrell.

Alicja Bachleda-Curuś is back in Poland, living with her family close to Cracow city.
Alicja and Colin’s relationship was a pretty big deal in Poland — Alicja is one of our best actresses. She played Zosia in the film version of “Pan Tadeusz”, a Polish epic poem, and “Tadeusz” is actually Henry’s second name (his Polish family calls him “Tadzio”, instead of the foreign sounding “Henry”).
Alicja is a very classy woman, and she never commented on their split, but it seemed from all the info floating around that it was Colin who decided he wasn’t ready for playing “house”. While still with her, he joked once that he fell in love with “a good girl” who was “top in her class”, and added that it made him want to “change”– well, didn’t work out, apparently. She soon moved out of their LA home and came back to Poland (being mercilessly mocked by the Polish media as the actress who wanted to “sleep her way into Hollywood” and failed; someone who gained undeserved fame by having a relationship with a famous dude).
I felt quite bad for her. She seems genuinely nice. Her family is an old family of Highlanders living in Polish mountains Tatry. The only thing she said, questioned about Colin, while filming Ondine was “His Irish charm might be hard to resist”.
She lives permanently in LA. Don’t lie. She always say in interview that her home is LA now.
I wasn’t in Poland for a few years — why do you assume that I lie rather than I’m simply wrong?

Colin just said on an interview that he lives in Los Angeles,and that his house was 3 miles away from Henry’s and 20 miles away from James’.He bought Alicja and Henry a nice house in LA .
