Cameron Diaz has an amazing body. She has killer legs, great muscle tone and proportional bolt-ons. Her hair is growing out into a great bob. Her face doesn’t look so waxy and frozen anymore. Basically, she looks better than she has in years. So WHY does she need to pose like this for Esquire UK? I get that it’s a men’s mag (a “lad mag” in British parlance), and she feels the need to go “sexy” rather “sophisticated”. But surely she was given other styling options besides this, right? This shiz looks like Maxim crap.
… Oh. The photo shoot is by Terry Richardson. No further explanation needed. So gross.
Some highlights from Camy’s Esquire interview:
Turning 40 years old: “For the first time in my life I’m content. I’m so excited. Getting older is the best part of life. Like, I know more than I’ve ever known. I have gratitude. I know myself better. I feel more capable than ever. And as far as the physicality of it – I feel better at 40 than I did at 25. I’m so excited. Getting older is the best part of life. Like, I know more than I’ve ever known.”
Why she never got married: “I’m smart! No, it’s hard to say. It just wasn’t the thing I was drawn to. I certainly didn’t want it in my 20s. Or my 30s… so, we’ll see! I’d always wanted to get hitched in Vegas at least three times.”
What she looks for in a dude: “I want someone who takes care of themselves, who’s strong. To hear people are engaged in life like that is exciting to me. It’s funny because as my girlfriends get older, I see how their relationships have evolved, and you know, the people you’re drawn to changes. I’m not attracted to the same people that I was drawn to in my twenties.”
She hasn’t ruled out kids: “I don’t need to have the children in my life be a part of my literal flesh. And anyway, there’s still a possibility of that, I ain’t that old. I’m feeling very … capable.”
She claims she doesn’t Botox: “There’s no such thing as anti-ageing. You can’t go back in time. So for me, it’s about living in this moment, the best that I can. Contentment is about coming to terms with life as it is.”

Some of it sounds very Jennifer Aniston-esque (as in, like it came from a self-help book), which is kind of normal for Camy. The Cameron Diaz of magazine interviews is very different (I think) from the real Camy Diaz, who can be somewhat of a mess. Remember the Camy that dated notorious d-bag cheater Alex Rodriguez? Yeah. So, who is the real Camy? The self-possessed, New Age-y woman who embraces her aging and her flaws with a sunny disposition and calm, collected energy… or is she somewhat pricklier, needier, crazier, and dare I say, trashier?

She’s beautiful as always, but I think all those ‘spread eagle’ shots leave something to be desired. It just comes off as a bit trashy.

I was wondering the same thing, especially as the California Birth Index has her birth date listed as 30th August 1970. It is her as the mother’s surname is listed as Early.
It’s available on Ancestry.com. Now, as the ancestry file doesn’t show a PDF of the register index unlike the British version, so I suppose its possible to have had it changed, but I’d be curious about what you found in the San Diego archives.

I think they have both the same skin pigments as they are both blond and fair skin and spanish descend.Only Sofia looks after herself very well and doesn’t resort to botox(yet) or fillers or any kinds of damaging skin treatments.If you put their pictures side by side,Sofia looks a lot younger than Cammie eventhough tahy’re at the same age.I think it got nothing to do with severe tanning,it more to do with acceptance of once true age and self.

Most people with a camera can take photos as well if not better than TR. Nothing he does is special, just don’t get the demand for his work.

As a graphic artist I hate to tell everyone so impressed with her body but those photos are photoshopped to hell. Her thigh area on her legs have been”shaped” by someone with experience. Even the muscular look can be photoshopped today. It’s sad because most of what we see in magazines today is simply not real.
