QT is a great director, but damn, he can’t act for sh-t. Once again, his screen presence was the one thing that took me out of DJANGO.
Zoe Bell is adorable. I wanted to include her, but I figured that two actors from DEATH PROOF would have been overkill. You know, since the film was relatively panned. I also wanted to include Omar Doom from BASTERDS but couldn’t justify removing another actor to put him on the list.
I have to admit thinking Kurt Russell was horribly miscast. He pulled it off. Sort of. But honestly, I just didn’t care for him in the role at all. Either he’s a scary creeper or he’s not. The part was poorly written. So, that might be down to Quentin not Kurt
This is my second year in a roy watching Kathy and Anderson and they make me laugh the entire time.
I know-I like them, too. They’re great together. I know there’s a lot of people who don’t like Kathy G. and yes, she can be grating at times, but over all I think she’s funny. Yeah, she can be gross, but what comedian isn’t? Almost all of them push the boundaries.

I don’t get how Kathy Griffin is even a d-lister – she is tacky, her political opinions, whatever they are, are immature and childish, and the funniness, let alone the coolness and hipness just aren’t there. Lampooning Sarah palin is too easy for even a six yr old. Surely Anderson can find a better sidekick. Anyway, who really watches these shows? Half the musical acts are taped beforehand and lip synched anyway.
I can only take about 7 minutes of the patter between Kathy and Anderson on New Year’s Eve. If they’re on any longer, my husband and I elbow each other out of the way to see who can scream the most inventive profanities at the screen. The most frequent being “STFU, Kathy!”. Sheesh, she gives inanity a bad name.
That whole act on NYE was embarrassing (for her) and childish. It was never funny, but it became awkward somewhere after the 3rd attempt to stick her face in his crotch. That’s not “pushing limits”; that’s juvenile.

Hope Ann Curry gets Anderson’s spot on CNN, which she’s rumored to if NBC will let her out of her contract. CNN needs to get some class back.

I don’t understand why anyone would watch Kathy Griffin. She is disgustingly filthy. Her behavior is shocking and that’s not funny or comedic IMO.
Geez I thought it was funny for awhile and then when I didn’t I turned them off. Of course all she wants is attention, name one person in show business who doesn’t want the attention? At least she has some talent unlike other people who are reported on in this space.
The best part was when Kathy said she knew Anderson wanted it (her face in his crotch) and he replied that he didn’t and never had! Love that man, Kathy not so much.

I feel sorry for Anderson Cooper but if he allows KG to appear with him again, I will have lost all respect for him and CNN. Even cohosting with Dina Lohan would be a vast improvement.

I absolutely love both Kathy and Joan. Does no one understand that CNN is hiring Kathy to “do her thing” on New Year’s Eve with Anderson Cooper? This was either the 6th or 7th year they have been on together. So I’d say both CNN and Anderson know what to expect.
In real life, as seen on the many episodes of her show “The D List” Kathy Griffin is a rather nice, down-to-earth type who comes from an Irish catholic background and doesn’t drink a drop. She has rescue dogs and has gone overseas twice to entain our troops. She has also been known to do free gigs to entertain prisoners and despite being straight, has been an outspoken advocate for gay rights for many years.
Her new show, an hour long talk show on Bravo channel is great! Season two starts on Jan. 10th. Most of Season one episodes are on youtube.

They both have acidic tongues, but Kathy’s is graphic, crude and coarse with constant throwing of the “F” word, whereas Joan’s comes w/ a certain kind of satiric wit and charm–something Kathy will never possess.
