I think Renee looks great. I’m so glad she’s finally grown out that awful short haircut – I love that hair on the right woman but on Renee it was hideous.

Except for those wisps hanging over her face! What is up with that? She’s not my fave actress, but if you’re going to put that much effort into looking great, do something to keep it off your face. No point in smiling if nobody can see it!

Agreed. This is the best she’s looked in a long time. Her face seems to be less frozen and the hair is an improvement. The short hair always looked sloppy and was really unflattering.

I agree. It looks like she’s had something fresh/new done to her face. The wispy bangs may be the cover for whatever not-fully-disappeared scarring or bruising from such procedure. Her eyes seems sooo tiny, the area around them sooo tightly pulled. Crap it looks painful. Also, not like Rene of old.
And I hope she also outgrew her crazy Carolina Herrera devotion. Most of the CH dresses and gowns she wore lately were hideous and very unflattering.
I wonder why she doesn’t act more. She is clearly extremely talented, dedicated to the craft, and a hard worker. It is a shame she’s staying away from acting for such long periods.

The only reason I watched Cold Mountain was because of Renee. She carried the whole movie. N Kidman was frozen-as per usual. Renee receives so much hate..do not understand. She is healthy, fit and an outstanding actress. Maybe her choices in men have not worked out..but that is not unusual in HW or elsewhere.

Renee looks very healthy. She’s still very slim and athletic looking, but she’s not scrawny skinny anymore. Not a fan of all the tendrils. Her face reminds me of JLaw, but I like her acting more.

I just watched Bridget Jones Diary, first one, the other night on TV. She was so good. I had forgotten how good. She was brilliant in Cold Mountain and fearless. How many leading movie actresses, which she was back at that time, would take a role like that. There are very few that have done so.
I loved her in the movie with Meryl Streep (title escapes me), the selfish, career-obssessed daughter having to come home to help take care of her dying mother. Really great acting by her.
Loved her in Nurse Betty. Loved her in Jerry Maguire.
Renee is an excellent actress. I think she looks good in the photos. I agree she was too scrawny looking for several years. She’s in her forties and was never a great beauty but cute, and still looks good, just a little older. She looks younger than LeAnn Rimes who is only 30. LOL Thankfully, she hasn’t gone the plastic surgery and overuse of botox and filler route other celebs seem to be falling prey to.

I remember seeing it with my sister back in the nineties when we would go see movies together – would so like to see it again. For some reason I think her and Reese Witherspoon would work well in a movie.

I heard a cute story about how she rewarded a stranger who had randomly put change in her parking meter when he saw it was empty, just trying to be a nice guy, not knowing who’s it was. She realized what he was doing in time, walked back in the Starbucks she had been in to get him a $50 giftcard as a thank you. I thought that was precious.

She’s quite thin. The dress makes her shape appear somewhat odd to me, as if her neck was unnaturally long! And her head just kind of hovering above her body.
