Amy Winehouse was photographed for the second day in a row enjoying the surf in St. Lucia in the Caribbean. She dropped her beehive and top to pose happily for photographers while splashing in the ocean, applying sunscreen, and hugging a mystery guy. It’s not clear from the way he’s hugging her if he’s just a friend or if there’s something more there. She looks much better and not as maybe-pregnant as she did in the faraway photos available yesterday. It’s hard to imagine Amy Winehouse not looking emaciated but now we can see that she’s gained some essential weight and might be on the road to recovery. It’s nice to see her looking happy and at peace for once and maybe this vacation will turn things around for her after a hospitalization to get clean. It’s only a good thing that Blake won’t be able to join her for at least a year.

I hope she’s got some great resolutions for 09 that include dumping Blake Incarcerated and making more music. Maybe she’ll get another chance at a Bond theme. She’s the stormy Elizabeth Taylor to Duffy’s squeaky clean Doris Day and I love her for it.

I hate to be a downer, but she looks like a typical swollen-abdomened alcoholic… I could be (and hope I am) wrong, but it seems like if she were gaining weight, it would be all over and a little flabbier, not so solid.

Fer chrissakes, the lady is beautiful without out that matted pineapple on her head or without all that crap on her face. Although the boozer’s gut is pretty alarming, especially at only 25 years old. I shudder to think what will happen at age 30.
There are more pics of her swilling down some beer, and smoking weed. Well, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and considering how hardcore Winehouse is, this is pretty tame. The real test, is when reality sets in, and she returns to London.
