I’ve been wondering if and when this would ever happen! Fergie and Josh Duhamel are expecting their first baby together after four years of marriage. Fergie tweeted the header photo with the message “Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!!” – it’s a Photoshopped image of Josh as a kid, Fergie as a kid and a wonderful little cat.
Fergie and Josh Duhamel have some exciting news to share: they’re going to become first-time parents later this year! “Josh & Me & BABY makes three!” Fergie announced via Twitter Feb. 18. The Black Eyed Peas singer also shared superimposed childhood pictures of herself and the Safe Haven star.
“They just found out and tweeted it to the world,” a source tells Us Weekly. Duhamel shared the same message via his Twitter and Facebook accounts.
The couple, who wed in January 2009, spoke about their desire to start a family during an October 2012 appearance on Oprah’s Next Chapter. Though Duhamel said he hoped to one day have five children, Fergie lowered his expectations. “We negotiated that early on,” the 37-year-old singer said. “Two is our number.”
Duhamel, 40, added that because he and Fergie “grew up in very similar ways,” they’re on the same page when it comes to raising a little one.
“My mother was a teacher. Both of her parents were teachers. We both had to work for what we got. We’re both Catholic,” he explained. “There were a lot of things that were really compatible between us. But at the end of the day, she’s just an amazing girl.”
Well… I’m choosing to be happy for them. Josh fooled around early in their marriage, and Fergie chose to stay with him even after his strip club mistress went public with her story. Fergie and Josh rode it out and the past few years, they’ve seemed tight. So maybe it was just one mistake and they became stronger because of it, and now they’re having a baby. I hope. Incidentally, I’ve always had a theory about why Fergie stayed, besides the “she loves him” reason – I think Josh must be really good in bed. Just a theory. Anyway, congrats to Fergie and Josh! I kind of hope they have a boy, just because of Josh’s crazy-tall genes.

I agree that congrats are in order. Yet it distresses me that so many women commentators can absolve a man’s past indiscretions (Josh Duhamel, David Beckham) and accept their ‘family man’ image while the same commentators will label a woman who strays (Kristen Stewart, Angelina Jolie) a lifelong cheater/whore. I don’t care whether you absolve celebrities for their personal failings or put them on a pedestal, but please, please recognise the double standard!!

I was a bit worried, because he was talking children for the longest time and she seemed disinterested. Then he kind of backed off and I guess the rumors were right.

I don’t think him being good in bed is the reason she stayed. I mean, the woman’s face can look unfortunate, which is mostly her own fault. But she’s famous and hot, as if she couldn’t find another dude who can rock her bed frame. She made a decision to forgive him and some people just can’t understand how you can forgive something like that. Me, I’m not so sure I get it either but I’m not married and don’t know that kind of commitment either.
Hope they’ll be happy together from now on.

I don’t think they just found out, I think she’s probably already 3-5 months along. Makes sense that they would wait to announce since she’s older so it’s riskier.
But yeah, not shocking at all based on her NYE performance, I expected the announcement.

Congrats to them. I’ve always liked how Fergie was very honest about how drugs screwed up her face and almost her life…She and RDJ both own their past. As far as the cheating thing…people work through that shit sometimes and people can change. I probably couldn’t, but I understand why some people stay together.

Eh, my issue with his infidelities is that he didn’t just mess up a couple times, it was more on the Tiger Wood’s side of the spectrum. When he was filming “Transformers” in New Mexico, there were girls constantly calling in to the local radio stations about what a sleaze bag he was and how allegedly he had a threesome with a couple females from the air force base. I mean, who knows, there aren’t any photos, but given the stripper gate scandal it isn’t far fetched.
I hope he doesn’t have a wandering dong anymore because no woman deserves to be with a man who isn’t completely devoted to her, let alone have children with him.

Fergie seems ok. I haven’t liked Josh since he cheated on her.
It’s great that she could forgive him, but I think it would be easier to forgive him for a one-night stand than a love affair. I couldn’t forgive the latter. But, I hope he remains faithful and they have a happy life with the new baby.

I really think Josh learned his lesson. Sometimes once a cheater always a cheater is true but I don’t think it was in this case. I think he let some stuff go to his head and went someplace he never should have been. I also think Fergie forgave him because it was so early in the marriage and no kids were involved, so it was a lesson learned for both of them. I also applaud them not having kids until they worked all of this out. Best of luck to them!

I love him. He was so cute and funny on Andy Cohen’s show the other week.
Fergie was away on the road doing long tours and he was off making movies. I think few couples survive being away from each other in celebrityland like that, going in different directions. Mix alcohol and a man horny rationalizing what he did and then feeling guilty. Since then they have had a lot more downtime together. I found them to be a great couple seeing them in their environment, living out in wine country and living close to her ill dad. I think they fought for the marriage after the affair. They say sometimes you can come out stronger after an affair if you really work on the relationship. It would be easier for me to forgive being with a ho for a one-night stand in a weak moment away from each other than a full-blown affair right under my nose with emotion and telephones calls, screwing in my home, etc. I think this made him confront himself.

I’m with you. It wouldn’t hurt any less, and it is still embarrassing to have to deal with it when you’re in the public eye. And to have to deal with it at all and the issue of trusting afterwards can really test you! I hope he’s learned and is going to man up and be a great husband and dad as she a wife and mom!

After the Kim Kardashian “pimp your baby photo shoot” it’s so refreshing to see a married couple expecting a child that they are not trying to make a buck on. I’m just giddy, it’s just such a nice change of pace from the Kardashian slime.
