Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson set up a white Christmas that their one month old baby, Bronx Mowgli, will only remember from the photos. The newlyweds trucked in snow for the occasion and went sledding across a balcony with KIIS FM DJ JoJo Wright. In the videos above Pete is shown holding JoJo’s five month old daughter Sophie, while Ashlee has little Bronx bundled up off to the side. Pete tells a kind of pointless hard-to-follow story in the first video about how he took a dive while snowboarding with his dad as a kid.
It seems extraordinary to have snow delivered, but considering that Pete and Ashlee live in LA there’s probably a call for it on movie and television sets. I found a couple of websites of companies that provide residential snow production. They take ice and use a machine that chips and blows it to a consistency that’s like snow. The way they word the explanation on the KIIS website, it sounds like the snow at Pete’s house was trucked in from somewhere else, but from everything I could find online the snow is usually made on site and it’s just as suitable for sledding.
Man made snow is fun for kids’ parties in hot climates where children might not otherwise see snow at all. You can’t help but think that it’s wasted on some adults with babies though. Hopefully Pete and Ashlee invited some older kids over to enjoy the snow before it melted. At least they got some publicity out of it.

If they want snow, they need to spend some time in Chicago or New England. Then they can see, feel and play in all the snow they want..lol.

I think Pete and Ashlee think they are more famous than they actually are. They keeping telling private details as if we are all waiting with baited breath to hear it. Sorry, Pete and Ashlee the two of you are no Brad and Angelia. No one cares about your private life and stop spilling it all for media attention!!!

I have to say, even though I’m indifferent to Ashlee and Pete as celebrities, they do seem like fun parents. Extravagant, yes, but let’s be honest: most parents would probably do similar things for their kids if they could afford it.

I have zero doubt that these two totally love and adore their new baby. I agree that Pete really seems like a genuinely proud new papa, and that’s great. But if you want to rent snow (as a Canadian I have difficulty with this concept…LOL) and enjoy a white Christmas with your new baby, why not just do it - WHY CALL THE RADIO STATION?! I just don’t get it. *
*By which I mean I GET IT, they are desperate for the attention, but you see my point.

regardless of what the kids name is or of they are “media whores” this was pretty cool. and even though the kids not going to remember it, its memories they can look back on.
